On the Grid : Bier Garten

"Just past the tourist-laden Fremont Street Experience, BeerGarden offers an extensive menu of craft beers paired with delicious sausages & bread. The garden atmosphere, grass and picnic tables, and overall breathing space make it a world away from the stuffy confines of the casino it's technically part of. Use the side gate to avoid having to walk through the plaza, and try the German pretzel if it's the last thing you do in this world." - David Hardy

Through the years, we have been to this hotel a number of times specifically for their buffet. We have had their breakfast brunch, Sunday brunch and a few times their dinner brunch. This is our 2nd time in over 10 years we slept at this hotel. As been reviewed in other posts, this hotel exudes an old time nostalgic feel to it. The rooms are oversized with great quality, substantial furnishing, beds are super comfy, AC with individual control. We stayed on the 6th floor, that you never, ever hear room noise or boisterous guests in the halls like other hotels on the strip. A major plus is that the tiled shower with double sliding doors has a protective hand rail for your safety when lathering up to prevent falls. This is rarely seen in other hotels unless they are accessible rooms. Plus the bath towels are thick and large, not small and flimsy. The TV set is an LG of very good quality, possibly a 65" monitor. There are two minor quibbles. If you like coffee or tea, there are no in room coffee maker and if you want something light in the AM, there are no inexpensive coffee shop in the facility for a continental type breakfast. Must go to the buffet and pay $20 plus per person for their breakfast buffet, which by the way is of high quality and very tasteful. This hotel is not on the strip, so no attractions, of lights, musical water fountains or any other visual gimmicks. Would we go again? In a NY minute, Of course, great facility in the downtown area and a block and a half from Fremont St.

The Main Street Station Hotel is a beautiful property in downtown Las Vegas only a stone's throw away from The Fremont Street Experience. You're close enough to the action but far enough away that you can get a good night's sleep. It's a fairly small property by Vegas standards. It only has two restaurants one being a very good buffet and one convenience store in addition to the casino. You do get to share the gym and pool with its sister property the California only a short stroll across the sky bridge. This hotel is decorated in the Victorian style and it'll feel like you've been transported back in time. I really love the old timey vibes. The staff are very friendly and helpful from the check in staff security guards and housekeeping. The rooms are spacious with plenty of room for all your stuff. The beds are nice and comfy and there is small desk to do some work or eat. This is a true hidden gem in downtown LV so don't hesitate to book a stay here.

I booked fully online based off Google reviews and was very nervous! But it was great! We had a 6 year old with us and never felt uncomfortable or unsafe. There was no dingy smoke smell that permeates you while walking through lobby to your room like I read for some of the other places. Honestly, smoke smell wasn't even bad in the casino, and I played slots nightly. Very clean and would stay if we came back to Vegas again. The only negative was I didn't realize the pool was in their sister hotel and you would have to walk there. But you can get there all indoors via a connecting skywalk. We didn't even explore and find the other hotel until the night before we left, so I wish we would have done that sooner!

Google
I like the place but I am biased. I used to be much better before the pandemic but still the value is good and if you are not a party animal you'll get a decent room for the money. The beer is good too and i like the bar. Beside of that its a small place and has short walking distances but that's it. The buffet is not well and the service personnel is not really motivated. The rooms can be loud on the north side. This place used to be very nice and now has a hard to find its audience (hello Hawaiian retirees!).

Went to the bar with the boar statue and hubby and I had the best cocktails. Your bartender Matt is Amazing! He sure knows how to make great cocktails.

Google
Positive: Location of hotel was excellent. The staff were terrific. The room had a great few of Fremont Street. Negative: The air conditioner was loud but I was able to sleep through the noise.

Google
Was really nice staying here. The rooms were nice and the location wasn't too far from freemont. About a 10 min walk. They have a cute gift shop om site that was open at random hours not the hours listed. There is smoking in the casino area so it does smell like cigarettes. They also have a buffet and open bar on the first floor. Room service was very prompt and kind.

Google
Very happy with my stay here, has the only buffet downtown. Connects to the California where there is a pool (get access card from California). Service couldn't have been better

Yelp
Had a nice visit here this trip. Pros: Security seemed very attentive and I felt safe here. They guarded the entrances well as well as had an eye on the cashier area very well. When i saw "crazy" people, security already had their eye on them. Buffet was improved, i'm glad that they now serve fresh fruit! In past years it was mostly canned fruit w lots of sugary syrup. In this trip i saw fresh whole apples, pears and cut oranges and honeydew. They also had bananas which they had before occasionally. They also went back to fresh mushrooms in their omelettes, they were using this canned mushroom for years which was yuck. Machines fed pretty well, helped me recoup my losses from other casinos. Cons: Table games are still only open Friday to Sunday from 9 am to 1 am. I wish they opened daily even if only at night.

Yelp
When I used to come here pre-Covid, I would come in, gamble, and be on my way. I've never stayed in the room, so I can't comment on any of that. It's a casino, you win and lose, it is what it is. One thing to note, table games are still limited on when they operate. Post-Covid, it's been fairly quiet here, so I'm so happy to see that business is starting to pick up. I stayed at the Fremont, but they advertise a walking tour they recommend to take at Main Street to see antiques and artifacts. I decided to actually look around and I love the history that comes with this casino. The architecture alone is something you don't see anymore in modern construction, so it was beautiful seeing how well they've maintained the history. I ran into a security guard who was so nice and took me to the buffet (that was closed) to show me a stained glass window that is the pride and joy of the casino that they keep it lit 24/7. I wish I got his name because he saw me taking photos of all the cool things and took the initiative to show me more. Such a cool move and really appreciated! There's also a bridge that connects Main Street to The Cal.

Yelp
First time staying at this casino, we are usually at the California Hotel. So I was a little confused on where the checkin desk was and unfortunately they only have self parking. I'm generally use to doing valet in Las Vegas especially with kids. But, it wasn't that bad checking in. We finally found that everyone usually parks on the back side and that's where everyone waits for Uber/lyft. When we walked in, you definitely know there is a lot of history in this hotel. Checkin was smooth and thank goodness they had bell service to help us with our luggage. When we got to our rooms, we were able to get connecting rooms so that was pretty sweet! The rooms are definitely upgraded and spacious would be a good word to use. This hotel is not as busy as the California which made walking through hallways a breeze! Also, we loved that the all you can eat buffet was downstairs! We made sure to go there daily! Over all, I wouldn't mind staying here again. Much more lax and chill in downtown.

Yelp
I have never really stepped into Main Street before until this recent trip. While staying at the California club my brother and I took a walk over the connecting bridge to see what food options were available. Coming from the Cal, there was a total difference between the two casinos. The interior design captures a high end elegant look and feel. Stained glass windows can be seen. An upper floor (which I believe is a prop, no public access) was something very interesting to watch. The area where the registration desk and rewards was done very nicely as well. I do feel there were a lot of space between the slot machines which isn't the best for me and the games were not as appealing. There were a few food options but their Triple 7 brewery was very nice!

Yelp
It's the Main reason... I've stayed here several times and love the rooms are nice and clean though it's been several years and this visit we didn't choose here for the main reason that the parking isn't our favorite and the casino just isn't my vibe. With that my first win was here as I was waiting for the rental car desk to open...Enterprise rental car location is found here and with the best price already was a winner but the $200 on my favorite slot already has my mood looking promising. Another reason for the five stars is welcome back buffet! Yup the Garden Court buffet is back open and for the limited time we could use our Aloha Coupons with no additional cost...whaaaat!? The bridge that connects to California hotel makes it super easy to navigate without exiting either building is so convenient and totally took advantage of that during our visit though the casino area remains the same and looked dated always loved it here and happy to see things returning to it's original vibe. Thank you!

Yelp
30 years ago we spent our honeymoon here. We had to visit our hotel. Staff is friendly and enjoy the video poker machine. Food is excellent.

Yelp
Friendly staff and such a nice old school vibe with classic finishes. First time staying off the strip so miss having more options open later or earlier like the brewery but enjoyed the stay.

Yelp
My friend and I were spending a couple of nights in Vegas to see some shows, and we wanted a hotel that had a vintage feel without sacrificing quality or comfort. I knew that a property closer to Fremont Street would be too loud for us, so I chose this place to give us a little distance from the craziness of the street party without putting us too far away from everything. We were delighted to see so many salvaged architectural details and antiques throughout the hotel, which was right up our alley. It felt historic without feeling too outdated. In fact, our room was pretty modern, and the beds and pillows were very comfortable, probably the best I've experienced in Vegas among the more affordable options. We didn't dine at the property, and we were actually disappointed that the Pullman restaurant was no longer open, but the frozen strawberry daiquiri at the Boar bar was super delicious. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, and we loved our time there. It was nice to do all the things we wanted to do during the day and at night, and then turn in to a quiet room and rest up for the next day. I would stay here again anytime.

Yelp
One of my fav places to stay and reasonable too. Had my mother in law along with her companion chair. We wandered thru and looked at all the lights. Lovethe antiques and old slot machines in therePlayed a bit then went back to our room

Yelp
Dump Another casino in the specific square of old Vegas that is a dump and seemed to be abandoned. What is the point of these places, they don't even give you any deals. Stinks, drinks aren't cheap, the machines never hit, and I expect to see a tumbleweed to blow through the place it's dead. Awful, please do not waste your money here. Thanks

Yelp
Food- superb! Prices- superb! Service-superb! If this was in my hometown, I would be there at least 3 nights a week. A chef's restaurant... They put care into their food and make you feel like family. Pro tip- get the prime rib. Next level and old school vegas. Best restaurant in downtown Vegas. Ps.. the burger is only $13 and hand ground with prime rib and brisket.... Would give 10 stars if I could!
google avatar

Yelp
Stopped in for some breakfast at the buffet then stayed to gamble for a while. The slot floor, honestly, seemed a little sparse in places. The machines are well spread out, which is makes it nice to move about the casino, but I feel like there used to be more machines in the past. Our old cards wouldn't work in the slots so we had to get new cards. They don't have (that I saw) machines that will print it for you, so we had to wait on the rewards counter. Only one person was working and the family in front of us was taking a long time. I always say, the more we wait in line, the less money we lose gambling. The guy was very nice once we were called up to the counter. With that, they still have a good selection of older and newer games. I broke even on my play there, but after an hour, we left. It wasn't bad per se, just nothing that every other casino on the strip doesn't have.

Yelp
Shout out to the Main Street Station for mailing a necklace that we had left behind on our recent trip. We always stay at Main Street cause we like the newly refurbished rooms and the local atmosphere. They are slowly returning to normal after Covid but the hours to the restaurant and table games are limited. Anyway, this review is on the honesty of the housekeeping staff and Main Street's reputation of customer service to go beyond expectations. Mahalo

Yelp
Wide range of. Menu . My shrimp cocktail was ok no complaints had much better . Had their prime rib once. We'll return again.

Yelp
The buffet had plenty of options..,,but not everything was fresh. $23, Pepsi products and no senior discounts offered. The waffles were crisp, a slight sweet taste and chewy, frozen strawberries and syrup available. Smoked salmon, toasted mini bagel with cream cheese and capers were delightful. The biscuits, sausage, and chicken very dry and couldn't finish eating. The service was fabulous, it wasn't busy, and I left full.

Yelp
This classic Downtown Vegas property never changes with time. It is connected by a walkway to California Hotel, so many of the patrons are from Hawaii. I don't gamble, so the two reasons I've come here over the years is for Triple 7 Restaurant & Microbrewery or Garden Court buffet. Pricing is reasonable and parking is validated if you eat, dine, or play here.
google avatar

Yelp
Classic old school Vegas a few steps away from the busy Freemount Street. We are not big into gambling but walking through this casino is a trip back into time. Classic architecture, with some cool old artifacts, including slabs from the Berlin Wall. We walked through many casinos in our time in Vegas but this was the most rewarding. Even played some slots and won money. Totally worth the cab fare North - and a great escape from the Strip.
google avatar

Steve S.

Yelp
First off, I don't gamble so this review reflects that or the lack of that. I've stayed here a number of times and it's as good as any Holiday inn or Hampton inn. Clean, well maintained and comfortable. It's not on Fremont but it's close enough to take that in without the bedtime noise. It also doesn't have the Fremont hotel room prices. It also has a brewery in house and the beer is quite good. I like that! It's my preferred go to in Vegas.

Yelp
My first time staying at Main Street Hotel, downtown, approx 8 miles from the strip. The dinner buffet was good and standard. They served Mexican, Chinese, American food (fried prawns, prime rib, chow mien, fried chicken, baked chicken, bbq ribs, pasta, steamed clams, pizza). Easy walk through the upper level to Califoria Casino and street level to Circa. Older building decor, but it's appears to be the hotel theme. Clean, comfortable 2 double beds with a working A/C and room safe. Rooms appears updated, newer carpet thoughout the building except for the entrance, so clean room carpet, clean hallway carpet. Room noise from passing trains. Good security was present at all entrances. The casino floor quiet on a Thursday evening but seemed to liven up on a Friday. I like this place but, wasn't carrying any money home:) (card tables, roulette, slot machines) Worth coming back for another relaxing vacation!

Yelp
I hate this place... they are always so rude to me.. I just turned 21 last month n they constantly card me.. to the point I have to constantly get a wrist band.. however the wrist band doesn't do anything bc they still card me anyway!!! They don't even know their own system and are so impolite. Plz do not gamble here.. n the waiters refuse to serve me...

Yelp
I used to really love staying here but my most recent stay left a lot to be desired. I understand that COVID has affected many businesses, including casinos, but I still can't help but feel a little disappointed. The hotel is under renovation, I get it. However, I had to go to a few different floors to find an ice machine that worked. Is putting up a sign that difficult? I was on the 8th floor and visited 3 other floors before I ran into a maintenance worker who directed me to the 11th floor. It should not be that tough to find ice in my hotel. Additionally, I stayed there for an entire week and not once did I see a table game open, only a sign saying to go to the California Hotel to play table games. When I stay in an establishment that is labeled, "hotel and casino," I expect more than video poker and slot machines. The saving grace in my case was the Garden Court buffet. My wife and I ate there a few times and always left satisfied. The food was great and the staff was friendly. I hate to leave a less than stellar review for a hotel that I was once eager to stay in but I think you should know about the issues I had so you can address them. I hope everything gets resolved quickly.

Yelp
We stayed here for one night in January 2023. It was a Saturday night and we got a great deal on Priceline. It's only a block from Fremont so the prices are lower and there's not as much noise. It was an easy walk to Fremont street. The room was nice and clean. It's not really updated but could be compared to a Holiday Inn. I will say the AC didn't work very well and the room got quite warm for January. The casino floor was clean with lots of slot machines available for use. It's a Boyd gaming casino so remember your rewards card. I would stay here again for a quick night but not a long term visit.

Yelp
Casino is fun! The rooms are decent. Pillows were hard and beds aren't super comfy, but it got the job done. Staff is very friendly and nice.

Yelp
Great location with comfy beds and free parking. Our room was clean and the staff was friendly. What more can you ask for?!?

Yelp
I really enjoyed my recent two night stay at Main Street! Pros: Great location just a block from Fremont Street, so everything is close without a bunch of craziness or noise. Beautifully decorated Free parking for guests (with validation) Good buffet with a lot of options Friendly, attentive staff (a man was bothering me at one of the slot machines and one of the staff members noticed right away and assisted me) Great brews at the bar Late check out of noon Cool fact: there's a small piece of the Berlin Wall in one of the restrooms Cons: Would have liked a coffee maker in the room, especially since there's no cafe downstairs More TV channels but that's just be nit picky I definitely would stay here again!

Yelp
Every time we come to vegas we come to main street station for The buffet this is the only buffet left in downtown Las Vegas and it is It is well worth the drive up to Fremont. The price for this buffet is very worth what you're getting. The staff is always attentive and friendly. I have seen the same staff working there for years. I love seeing the same workers time and time again makes me feel like they treat their employees well. Although I have never stayed at this hotel I will say there has a lot of history. You can get a pamphlet at the checkand it will let you know all of the historical items that are in this. Hotel and casino. I have spent nearly 2 hours reading this pamphlet and looking at all the historical items. They have here dating back to world wars. This hotel and casino still has a lot of life left into it. I definitely will be looking into staying here.

Yelp
Georgeous downtown hotel with great buffet. Casino with antique ceilings and antiques galore. Clean smell. Classy.
google avatar

Matthew C.

Yelp
I don't know what the deal is with all these unhappy people. First off, if you love antique original brass. This is the spot to admire. Lamp posts, hand rails, door fixtures, ceiling panels, cash cage bars, and many more. The staff is always lively. Lots of great people employed there for sure. April in the Cash Cage has a great sense of humor and is quick whitted as well. Buffet is fabulous if you are there on time. Make sure to walk around and enjoy some of the gorgeous furniture in the place.

Yelp
Our long time Downtown choice for hotels/casinos. Cool retro vibe with a sense of Mahalo. Missed having the Buffett for dinner time durning the week, but did enjoy if for an early lunch/brunch. Sky Ryder slot kept me going at the bar, enjoying my Royal Red
google avatar

James N.

Yelp
This is a nice place to stay if you're looking to get off the strip, don't mind an older vibe, and are happy having everything you need in one building. The buffet is delicious and brunch runs $19-$23 depending on your rewards club status. I like the old Vegas feel and Fremont St is just a couple of blocks away when you want to get a little rowdy. There are plenty of Uber and Lyft cars around to get you anywhere else in town you want to go. A highlight here is the slab of the Berlin Wall inside the men's room. A little piece of history while you take a pit stop!

Yelp
Golden Coral is way better than this!!! Food was pretty bad, over cooked everything... dry fried chicken, very sloppy preparations. Cheap for a reason, for a few bucks more go somewhere else!!!

Yelp
I was hesitant on letting everyone know about this hidden gem. This is a review of the hotel, staff, their service and casino. Initially, we checked in a bit early and thankfully Joe was kind enough to consider our needs which was simple.. a quiet room with not so much foot traffic and we made sure it was away from the noise on Fremont street. Our rooms were 1515 and 1513. I was very pleased at how the room was exceptionally clean and get this, the shower pressure was excellent. Why they are missing a star... In room 1515 their was a problem with the A/C there was a loud somewhat whistling sound so we decided to leave it on the lowest temp and high pressure setting in hopes it would go away on its own. Thankfully it did. Please work with house keep as our door was knocked on at 9am and asked if we need service for the day. It was extremely inconvenient that we were woken up by that noise. Every day we were their housekeeping knocked on the door. I have a solution for this... where's the privacy signs? Lastly, the casino tables aren't open at night. I get it you can walk to California but we were at Main Street. Didn't make sense... If your looking to enjoy a quiet hotel this is the place to be.

Yelp
Thanksgiving weekend .. booked a room with their website 2 months ago to get a room for 2 days.. they charge Resort fee plus deposit. Upon arrival they charged RESORT FEE plus room charge and all other fees included so the 69.00 a nite came out to $215.00 per night. deposit is only refund. They claimed at front desk that the AGENCY that booked the 1st time was a seperate Entity and they dont have anything to do with that fee.. so you are s.o.l. just pay when you show up...and not ahead of time...that should stop the double charge you cant get refunded...

Yelp
My husband and I parked in the Main Street Station Casino private parking lot across the street from the casino for the free parking; however to get the ticket validated, the security guard told us we had to spend about $30 in food at the Triple Seven restaurant and Micro Brewery. The restaurant was busy as it was on a Friday evening. We were seated at a table near the front of the restaurant. Our waitress brought us menus to peruse and took our drink order. My husband ordered the High Roller Gold beer and I ordered the strawberry daiquiri. We decided to have an appetizer before our dinner so we chose Korean beef short ribs. They arrived three to a plate with pickled cucumbers and matchstick carrots-quite tasty. The meat was tender with mild seasoning. The next food we ordered was the Marghetia pizza. It was perfect for two people to share. We even had leftovers for home. The pizza was cheesy with a fresh tomato sauce and large tomato slices on it. It also had fresh basil on top. Everything was filling and mouth watering delicious. It's good value for the food. Our bill was $46.00 including the drinks. Service is excellent and the atmosphere is nice. We went to customer service and had our ticket for parking validated. I am happy we tried the restaurant. We will return in the near future.

Yelp
First thing after checking in 1) toilet was clogged w the previous persons crap(not pictured) 2) big dead beetle on the ground right as you walk into the bathroom(not pictured - that the maintenance man didnt bother to pick up and just passed it by) 3) sheets were stained 4) the trains at 2-3am were loud as heck 5) not having a microwave sucked After arriving at the room after check in and taking a look around, we called front desk to send maintenance for the clogged toilet and also asked them to come and change the sheets. They did send maintenance for the toilet but no one came and changed the sheets. Front desk people weren't nice either. Wouldn't stay here again

Yelp
The bill was only 23 for brunch which was a great price including drinks. The staff was extremely attentive and made sure everyone remembered to wear masks. It was very clean and they kept the food fresh and hot. The omelette bar was great and carving station was good also. There aren't any crab legs but I didn't miss it because all the food tasted great. I must say, nothing tasted like buffet food and I really didn't expect that. Pleasant surprise. I will definitely be back.

Yelp
I play here a lot. I have absolutely no issues with the casino and its games, nor with the Garden Court Buffet. But I have two issues with the 777 Brew Pub. (1) Why isn't the menu posted on the website? This has been problematic for years! Somebody should fix this problem. (2) When are they going to open us this restaurant 7 days a week? The Cal's Redwood Steakhouse is opening up 7 days a week beginning October 1, 2023, so shouldn't 777 follow suit?

Yelp
We checked in here on November 22, 2021. We will leave on November 28th.(tomorrow) I must say this hotel is old but the antiques here are beautiful. Our rooms did not have the glitz and glam of the newer hotels but it was clean. I loved our housekeeping lady Abrea! She was very nice and every morning we had a conversation while she did the upkeep of our room. She is AMAZING! The location to Fremont Street experience is no more than a 5 minute walk. Now to my complaint! We traveled with my grandmother who is elderly and uses a walker. Main street does not have a place to get food until 5 pm. We had to leave out every day or I walked down to The Plaza hotel food court and had to bring food back which was a disaster. Also there is a foul sewage smell outside the main entrance of the hotel and there is a orange square divider around the area which makes unloading/loading luggage and passengers a little difficult. I would definitely stay here again!

Yelp
Ate the breakfast buffet. I had bacon, eggs, rice. Kids had pancakes. Variety of food to choose from. Clean place, great staff.

Yelp
The rooms are outdated but clean. All the restaurants are not open. I guess Main Street just reopened last September. Good service and clean casino floor. The elevator in the parking garage was not working.. but the Hotel and Casino itself, not bad.

Yelp
This place connects to another Casino. Tucked away from The Fremont Street Experience, it has its own charm. You can walk through Main Street in Hotel Casino, and connect to the california Hotel Casino, and across the street from the house. California is Circa... the best part about staying at this hotel is that it is quiet it is clean and they do have smoking rooms and they have non-smoking rooms. I didn't get to eat at any of the places there, but like I said it connects to the other hotel, which, of course has an upstairs coffee bar and a few eateries I personally thought it was good money to spend for a place to stay and being so close to the strip as far as Fremont, it was a good choice. Close enough to enjoy the craziness and far enough away that you get complete silence.

Yelp
I was hesitant to book at Main Street casino located in downtown Las Vegas NV. It was my first time here and don't let the old antique & outdated decor fool you. It's a nice place to relax and get away from the strip madness but minus some amenities that you're so use to. I know this is not a luxury 4 to 5 star hotel but at least they didn't charge you $150 per nights for incidental holds. So here is my breakdown staying at the Main St Casino Down Town Las Vegas NV. Pros 4/5 it's more quieter and less people than other higher end casino so it give you a time to relax and away from the madness at the strip, the halls smells clean and not smokey like their other Boyd properties, AC is a bit loud but leaves your room cool, comfortable beds to sleep in, looks like newly renovated shower glass area, hotel workers are nice not grumpy, room came with a mini fridge. I'm surprised it doesn't smell to ashy or burning your face smokey feeling like their other Boyd properties. Cons 1/5 to 2/5 no valet service so when you park at their garage or parking lot you worry about your baby. No security present when entering the room elevators and no added security features when using the elevators to get to your room. Even though rooms is clean some areas is not and looks outdated and no Ihome clock charger for your phones. You can hear the train coming almost everyday and lots of helicopters flys by & police siren's. Slot machines was tight and when you up your wager it doesn't pay but when you down your wager it pays SMDH. Lots of homeless and shady people around the casino. Limited places to eat. Limited cable line ups. Parking can be hectic and limited to the handicap guest. If you're not a B connected Sapphire tier club or higher you will have to pay for parking. Staying at Main St casino in Down Town Las Vegas NV wasn't too bad. It gave myself to relax and rewind from the crazy madness away from the strip. If I was booking my next reservation i'll either try their California hotel or Suncoast hotel again. Please Boyd owners open your Medley Buffet it's so much better than the Garden Court buffet. Thank you Main St Casino Happy Holidays next time I might stay at the Wynn because that's where I Wynn haha LMAO.

Yelp
My sister and I stayed from September 22-26, 2022. Upon arrival at 8:50 pm, we weren't able to get any food because all of the restaurants were closed. Sad fact. Look up the hours and you'll be disappointed. We had to walk out to Fremont and found a taco truck and cocktails with the fabulous bartender from Circa. The hours for the Fitness Center at the California hotel has changed hours and the pool was drained during the entire week of 94 degree weather. Restaurant reservations ARE required for all restaurants in the Fremont. We found out that the Four Queens Hotel had special rates during the same week. Shop around for better rates. Plan to reserve seats at all of the restaurants you plan to visit. Employee at the front desk at 5:00 am wasn't very friendly and acted like I was bothering her for Fitness Room information. The rooms were clean, our neighbors were smoking and it reeked of smoke. A few cockroaches were in the bathroom too. The store downstairs and Triple 7 had weird hours. NO sushi on the menu at the Triple 7. Sad experience.

Yelp
I stayed here for CES. Upon arrival, I went in for a cart to bring in our belongings and products for CES. I asked the bellman for a cart but he would not let me use one unless he was doing it. So he came outside with me, helped load the cart, then took everything to our room while I parked the car. When I got to the room, one of our products for demonstrations at CES was damaged. I took photos, submitted a report, and everything was on camera. Despite this, they will do nothing. Unethical business practices. Will not stay here or at any Boyd Gaming hotels in the future.

Yelp
We ate at the buffet last night. (We are locals) Words can't describe how disappointed we were. The carving station was disgusting. The meat was so dry, I wouldn't feed it to my dog! The salad area had no topping choices. I still don't understand why the macaroni salad was with the Asia inspired food. The bread/rolls, if dropped on the floor, it would shatter into pieces. What was supposed to be cold was warm and what was supposed to be hot was cold. I resent paying $72.00+ (2 people) for food that was well below mediocre. Table service was awful. Had to ask several times to remove dirty plates. The manager was not on site. Do yourself a favor, go to Golden Corral!

Yelp
Over the past weekend we were in town for a 30 military reunion with sailors I served with onboard the USS Carl Vinson. On a recommendation we were told to check out the Californian Casino n the Main Street buffet. It was Bad. I mean really bad. We caught the tail end of Breakfast. Greasy. Cold, Flavorless. It's kind of Hard to Screw up Breakfast and to charge that much for a substandard. I'd rather go back aboard ship then to wish this grub on anyone. Y'all got to step it up. Too many good options in Vegas to have to deal with this. Sorry but you'll never see my Winnings back in this spot.

Yelp
This establishment is located downtown near the Fremont experience so if you stay here you won't be subjected to the late night music heard on Fremont. We stayed on a Sunday through Wednesday and were able to check in early. This place is not too busy so if you're looking for a outdated casino to stay in, you're golden. Our room was on the 14rh floor facing The Plaza and near the railroad tracks. If you're worried about hearing the train, the noise of the air conditioner drowns out any noise you may hear nearby. There are shutters on the windows which don't block out the sun, so if you forget to set an alarm and have to be up when the vampires take their rest, you'll be ok. Yes, the room is very dated and the popcorn ceilings will remind you of your childhood in the 70's but one thing that was not acceptable was the vomit on the bathroom wall. If you're looking to see if your immune system is up to speed, stay here and test your luck.

Yelp
We always check out Main Street station when we go downtown Las Vegas. We play slots and that crap machine with the large plastic bubble. This trip we had brunch at the buffet and the price can't beat for $22 dollars and some change per person. Nice and fresh selection of food and the staff came around the right amount of time to see if anything is going good.
