"Once you’ve taken a spin around the ice rink and met Santa’s reindeer, retire to nearby Maine Beer Company for a satisfying pint of hoppy Peeper pale ale while you watch the production team practice their craft through floor-to-ceiling glass windows separating the taproom from the brewhouse." - Stasia Brewczynski

"Maine Beer Co. has a fervent and an ever-widening local and regional fan base, which shows up at the brewery's Tasting Room all day and past dinnertime to sample the company's many creations (there are 20 draft lines, plus bottles the company offers only on-site and not in retail stores). Beer lovers relax on the patio in warm weather, dig into wood-fired pizza, hang at the bar, and shmooze at the water fountain, sipping each brew and discussing it with a seriousness that only real beer nerds can muster." - Alexandra Hall

We also make a point to stop by and grab a flight and pizza. Their chicken pate was amazing too, not sure if it’s still on the menu but it should be added back on. Seriously, we come for the beer and stay for the pizza…it’s really good.

I got the margarita pizza and it had a lot of sauce and not very much mozzarella but it was still good and tasted very fresh and flavorful. The mozzarella was high quality and very delicious. It was a thin crusted pizza but the edges were puffy. I also got the Maine blueberry soda which was refreshing and yummy and the beer is also nice. Nice outdoor seating but there is a lot of dogs in the outdoor seating section so just consider that it may be annoying if they keep barking or whimpering. The service is good as well.

Tasty brews, warm olives and wood fired pizzas! Great aesthetics. Love the patio seating. Friendly staff.

Great beer but wish they had a sour. Also for anyone ordering food—be aware the sandwiches are pizzas folded in half! Pictured is half of a sandwich. Very delicious though. Probably could share one pizza or sandwich between two people.

📍Freeport, Maine 📅Visited: many times, most recently July 2024 🚘 Parking: large attached lot (free) 🛎️Service/Seating: make a reservation, check in with hostess for assigned seating, or grab an available spot in at the bar or beer garden. 🍴Menu Favorites: Lunch IPA (10oz $6), pepperoni pizza with local honey ($17) 🐶 Dog-friendly: yes on the patio/beer garden 👶🏼 Kid-friendly: yes ➕Pros: Plenty of options for indoor or outdoor dining, great pizza and other snacks ➖Cons: you’ll struggle to pick which beer and pizza to get :)

Wonderful brewery. We ordered a flight and separate pour -along with pepperoni pizza and cheese bread. While the food took a VERY long to get…thought they lost our order…it did not disappoint. The staff are very friendly and since their livelihood isn’t based around tips and schmoozing customers, they treat everyone with the same beautiful, welcoming spirit.

Came here with a group of friends and glad we did. Beautiful facility with plenty of seating and well managed. The beers are of good quality, Lunch IPA being my favorite, but the Prince Percy pilsner my wife had was also tasty. We ordered a couple of pretzels, some cheesy bread and two pizzas. Pretzel was okay, garlicky cheese bread was delicious as were the pizzas. I particularly like the sausage and Calabrian pepper pizza (bottom in the photo). The margarita was also delicious. Sitting outside there were plenty of dogs around and people enjoyed playing Cornhole as well. Just a wonderful late lunch experience and honestly not too crowded for a summer Sunday afternoon.

I really enjoyed my visit to Maine Beer Co. I will definitely come back next time I'm in this part of the country. The beers were excellent, the atmosphere was great, and the staff was extremely helpful and friendly. While I did not have pizza while I was there, that have a good menu as well. The patio is dog friendly.
