Mainely Burgers in Boston’s Brighton neighborhood at Boston Landing serves up some pretty good burgers. Their four-ounce patties are cooked to medium-well unless you ask otherwise. In addition to their specialty burgers they have a small number of “Not Burgers!”; chicken tenders, hot dogs, Handcut Fries and other sides, a variety of sauces, frappes, floats, and soft drinks. For us, I went with The Spicy burger and shared the big pile of Fries that came with her Chicken Tender Basket. The Spicy comes with mildly spicy Thai chili mayo, pickled red onions, sharp cheddar, lettuce, and is topped with a fried egg - watch out for the exploding yolk! Overall, our experience was middle-of-the-road. Catch words like ”spicy” get my attention and The Spicy was really not that spicy at all. The chicken tenders were good enough but not very juicy, maybe even a little overcooked. The host was disinterested when taking our order; a smile goes a long way. Conveniently, however, Mainely Burgers is very close to Roadrunner if you need something quick before going to a show.

Google
Really good place for a burger and fries! I got the beast burger and it was really good! Cost me $19 for a burger, fries and a drink.. pretty typical prices these days in the city. Burger was delicious and so were the fries and every decent portions! Also got the mozzarella sticks and those were good too! Great, casual place for a quick meal!

Spencer Gross

Google
The burger was alright.. based on reviews honestly expected it to be a bit better. The ingredients were fresh though and the staff seem friendly. Also the fries were good and mozzarella sticks were just okay.

My sister and I were just checking out the area and stumbled upon this place. The toppings tasted fresh which I truly appreciated! Overall a good place. I would come back if I’m craving a burger. It is to me a little bit more on the pricey side, but for the amount of food and quality I think it was worth it. I got a burger, fries, and a bottled soda for about $19/20.

Google
Overall the burger is decent, it won’t blow you away but you won’t be upset. I got the MB classic with everything on it. The burger patty itself is pretty bland and it could use some seasoning. Everything seemed fresh though, pickles and lettuce had crunch to them and were not soggy. The mozzarella sticks are just your standard frozen and fried mozzarella sticks, they did the job as expected. The place was clean and well staffed, I went in on a Monday Afternoon, no one was in there except me so I can’t speak for rush hour times. Overall if you’re in the immediate area it’s not a bad option for a quick bite to eat. But I wouldn’t travel far distances for it. There are definitely better burgers in the same price point within the general area in my personal opinion

Google
Great burgers and frappes are awesome. Fries are not worth it. Edit: since the owner is a nice guy and responded to my review, I came back here to try again. Fries have definitely been improved since my last visit, and they're pretty good. Feel like they could be a bit crispier but can't really complain much about them as they are now. However, I'm dropping the place from 5 to 2 stars. Before, frappes came in a nice glass and you got the extra frappe in a metal cup that they use to blend it with. Now it was a sad small plastic cup (like McDonald's small size, but 3x the price). And they don't even have recycling bin for this plastic, way to kill the turtles! Fourth of July hotdog was super sad with barely any relish and some cheap bad mustard. Beast burger had soggy bacon and way too much onions. Don't go here.

Google
Great food at a fair price. 12 dollars for a really good bacon cheeseburger loaded with onions and barbecue sauce. The onions were perfectly caramelized, and the burger was nice and juicy. Would come back if I am in the area again.

Google
I was amazed at how fresh the burger was and very good. The burger was so tasty and perfectly cooked. Loved it all came from Maine.

Yelp
Enjoyed my lunch here. I ordered the Chicken Tender Basket which came with french fries and 4 tenders. We also got an order of onion rings to split. The tenders didn't come with a sauce, so when I asked for one, I was told they only had bbq or a chipotle mayo. This was a little disappointing as I expected honey mustard or something. I ended up using the chipotle mayo which was good. They have ketchup near the utensils but not what I usually use for chicken tenders. Sauce aside the chicken tenders and fries were good. The beer-battered onion rings were really good, but they didn't give a lot for the price. They come with the chipotle mayo which paired nicely. Overall I liked the food and the Maine theme but almost $40 for small portions was a lot. Would eat here again if in the area.

Yelp
Wanted some food on a cold afternoon and this place looked warm and friendly. I love the state of Maine. Been going there for many years, so I had to try this place. It has lots to choose from like burgers, chicken sandwiches, hot dogs, salads, chicken tenders. Then there's French fries, onion rings and you place your order and get it when ready. The restaurant is small but very cozy. Nothing fancy but I liked the decor on the walls. Maine theme with like boats and water in black and white on the wall. Very cool! I ordered a chicken sandwich with onion rings. Both were very good. My friend had chicken nuggets, that comes with French fries. That was good too. Would recommend if you are in the area. Glad I found it.

Yelp
Wow! Outstanding burger in the middle of Boston? Everything cooked to perfection with friendly service. Was there for a concert and got served quick. Fries were way better than five guys. Real fries crisp on the outside and not greasy. Comfortable and clean eating area.

Yelp
the regular burgers were alright the meat wasn't seasoned so the star of the burgers are definitely the toppings. I don't recommend going here if you want a plain burger. They're probably more well known for their speciality burgers although I wasn't too keen on any of them. The cajun fries were really good! very seasoned and flavorful. their fries were crispy or soggy and were a perfect medium.

Yelp
Really quick service! Was really happy with the vegetarian options. Very cute and clean inside. Perfect place to stop before a show at road runner!

Yelp
The burgers and fries were amazing. (Seriously, the Maine-ah is a gem.) The stars are for the ambiance, which left everything to be desired. 1. Took forever to get someone to take our order, despite the place being completely empty. 2. The music was turned up to eleven (and on a Spotify channel blaring ads every three songs). 3. The manager took a call on speaker and sat at a table to talk until another customer came in. He then stayed on the call(!) while he took her order. ‍ Honestly, guys. Could be a great lunch stop, but I can't imagine chancing the trip only to find that atmosphere again.

Yelp
Ordered the MB classic and onion rings for takeout. The burger with the potato bun was simple and delicious. The onion rings (while pretty pricey) were some of the most delicious ones I've had. The batter had great flavor. The spicy mayo for dipping (that's how we do it in Maine!) was great, too.

Yelp
The burger was horribly tasteless, which is hard to do for a burger. The patty was bland and the other ingredients surprisingly didn't help. I also didn't get the drink I ordered. Never, ever ordering from here again.

Yelp
TL;DR High quality burgers but too pricey for what you get. I ordered Mainely Burgers on Grubhub because they had an offer of 35% off your order. We were going to eat locally, but I thought this made it a decent deal. I ordered the Mainah while my boyfriend got the Coop. We also split an order of truffle fries. I believe this originally would have been $25. The Mainah was really good. I ordered it medium rare and it was cooked perfectly. The toppings were good but relatively tasteless. I got this to go, and when I ate it about 15 minutes later everything was soggy. The bun was falling apart and the apples lost their crunch. I tried my boyfriends burger and it was much better with the fried egg and again cooked perfectly. The truffle fries ($4.25) were good but soggy. They don't have size options. I also thought based on photos they would come with cheese but they only come with truffle oil. Their condiments also cost extra so I had to use the extra mayo from my burger. We demolished our burgers so they were definitely good, but definitely not worth the $9.25+tax. If you do come here make sure to eat in, because everything would have been better fresh. I will also say based on ordering online it appears that they take allergies seriously which is great!

Yelp
I'm not a big fan of burgers, but decided to check out this place. It's a new location and in a neighborhood where parking is much easier than driving into Boston, phew. We ordered the Shroom' & Swiss burger with a double veggie patty. It came, as the name suggests, with sauteed mushrooms and swiss cheese, along with lettuce, tomato, and house sauce. The veggie patty was unlike any I've tried in the U.S. It's a green patty (usually it's always black bean or at the most sweet potato), so it felt great to try something different. While it was tasty, I feel it lacked salt. However, you can make up for it with the various sauces. So I didn't mind! This way, it is more accessible to those who prefer a low salt intake. We ordered the parmesan fries as a side. The fries were crispy but I could have done with a lot more parmesan, haha. The ambiance is pretty sunny and open. Quite a lot of seats and no wait time. You order at the counter and the food is ready in minutes. Pro tips - 1: Free parking on the street. 2: Check out the Boston mural on their wall. 3. So many burger options, they also have temporary specials - check out the far right menu board. 4: If you get their veggie patty, ask them to top it with some Sriracha!

Yelp
On par with Wahlburgers. Mediocre and expensive. Fast casual burger joint hailing from Maine trying to break into the burger industry against the likes of Five Guys, Burger Fi, Shake Shack etc who do it better. $16.25 for a Mainah burger (apple slices, bacon, cheese, sauteed onions, maple mayo), brussel sprouts, and soda. I also got lettuce, onion, tomato on my burger and a side of spicy Thai mayo. I ordered my burger medium rare and got it well done unfortunately. The brussel sprouts we're crispy but oh so greasy. Each bite was a burst of grease in my mouth. My fellow diners ordered the beast beef burger with an egg and it was a hard Sunny side up sadly. The veggie burger was a green patty of mush, flavorful by itself but tasteless mess in the coop (pickled onions, spicy mayo, egg). The chicken burger was small but the chicken breast was still moist. Their fries are interesting. They're crispy and kinda hollow. The truffle version they toss the fries in light truffle oil and they come very shiny. An expensive mediocre burger with mediocre sides. They don't have the rhubarb drink here like they do at the Central location.

Yelp
This burger spot is a rip off. I ordered two burgers and mozzarella sticks with a drink and was charged 41 dollars. When the food came out they ended up also charging me for fries and two drinks. The food was average at best. Don't waste your time going here. Better off going to a grocery store, making your own burger and half cooking it. It will taste better. Hope this helps people make better choices about the lunch spots they spend their money on.

Yelp
The burgers are so good. Can get a little messy but they have bathrooms. The menu was kind of restricting because I always end up getting the beast but makes it easier to choose. The frappes are huge but wish they had whipped cream. They usually give you the mixing cup and another cup for the shake. Staff are friendly and the music is like stuff you would hear at Johnny Rockets. The seats remind me of five guys. They have cups for water and you can just go up to refill. It's pretty empty when I go there too. I feel like the music changed a little and the fries are thicker. Still no whipped cream. And they switched to a smaller plastic cup.

Yelp
Hot Garbage. Guys, if you're going to offer a Steak and Cheese sub for over 12 bucks, at least put it on a decent sub roll not two hot dog buns. And what is all this yellow stuff that this thing is completely saturated in? Cause that ain't cheese.

Yelp
Drove by almost everyday and decided to give it a shot. I love to give new business a chance and taste. It was pretty quiet at 11:30am , walked in and greeted by a pleasant young gentleman. Broke down the menu for us and we decided to order the avengers special and the beast veggies both medium. The cashier brought the food over to our table and it looks appealing. Once we bit into the burger meat it actually surprised me that it's flavorful and juicy enough . We also ordered the truffle fires which was crispy and good. So far everything is good but a little up there with the pricing.

Yelp
I was a first timer from California looking for some grub and this place caught my eye. I ordered the Maine-ah burger and it was just as I wanted! Really great burger and friendly staff!! I recommend this to anyone craving some burgers!! Great assortment of flavor fries too!!

Tim J.

Yelp
This was very disappointing. For the same price of 10 McDonalds cheeseburgers and fries (and I could have gotten a better burger and sides that I'd walk away happy with!). Ordered two medium cooked burgers, fries and Brussels sprouts. What I got was two overdone, sloppily assembled burgers, soggy fries, and sprouts bathing in some sort of way too salty sauce. I won't be back.

Yelp
I remember seeing the food truck up in Portland but didnt have time to give it a try. Now I can sit and enjoy their food, which I much prefer. Service, food, and atmosphere are very good. They use high quality ingredients so the prices reflect that. Keep in mind that the burgers can get a bit soggy and messy near the last few bites so have those napkins ready.
google avatar

Stevie B.

Yelp
Ordered up the "THE BEAST" beef burger, you know, with sauteed onions, bacon, pickles, Cheddar cheese and BBQ sauce, with an order of fries on the side - wondrous! Get some!!!
google avatar

Yelp
Got the veggie patty on a salad. Good amount of avocado which was nice. Patty was good, big, seemed homemade. Will ask for well done next time since I think it will be better like that. Veggie patty seemed a little on the oily side, too. Meant to order Brussels sprouts but hit the cauliflower button by mistake but no biggie since I like cauli. Cauli could have had a little more flavor and was definitely a bit oily. Will definitely try the sprouts next time. Just a little underwhelmed for a roughly $20 lunch to go.

Yelp
I frequent the Boston Landing area on a daily basis, so I've been waiting for this place to open. I've never been to the Central Sq location, so I can't compare between the two, but I highly enjoyed my Mainah burger; I'm glad to know when it comes time to any Cambridge cravings. Fresh, inviting - Mainely Burgers itself feels like it has just enough local charm with its mural just for this spot. The restaurant feels pretty spacious with enough large group seating and smaller tables that I could bring an impromptu group. The Mainah is just some flavors I really like all packaged together. Its crisp, thin-sliced green apple gives you a nice flavor change from the rest of the sweet onions and mayo on top of the juicy patty. Though honestly, I'm not sure if it was the onions, but my burger was dripping into my wrapper even before I took it out of the tray. It's really not an experience in my mind if you don't get a bit messy, but just food for thought. Staff also ask you how well you would like your meat cooked - so there's room for customization. We also split a side order for their classic fries - which were the full experience, skin on, just thick enough for steak-frites level. A personal point of happiness is that they offer glass bottles of Maine Root soda, which is much better than having a Maine Root soda machine I've seen in other Boston-area Maine food eateries. Washing everything down with a blueberry Maine Root soda is the only right way to end a meal here. I'm glad there's a little touch of Maine here and I know where to go to get my soda fix too. Definitely want to try some of the other sides like brussel sprouts to taste the whole offerings here.

Leah C.

Yelp
We got burgers, fries, and a shake to go. The burgers were really good, but the fries were super soggy even though we opened them a few minutes after leaving. The shake was great! Only big complaint is that the cashier was on the phone while ringing us out. I had to repeat my order twice because she was distracted with whoever she was talking to.

Yelp
No lie, this place was pretty dope. Came in looking for a tasty burger and cool vibes, and I found just that. Pretty standard menu and was not disappointed by the food. You can ruin a burger pretty easily, but this place did not. My girlfriend got the hotdog and it looked straight outa ballpark photo add type of dog. I mean I though they had pulled something out of Fenway Park and given it to her. The fries were like golden crunchy perfection. Dip that ish in the readily available ketchup (found at any table) and you're set. The place was immaculately clean. Felt like I was dirtying it up just by breathing. The bathrooms were so nice, and there was even a large black metal container that wasn't scary at all in the men's room. Like I wasn't worried it contained things it shouldn't at all. Free street parking was easy to find, which was a nice relief after the stresses of finding parking in Boston. So much room street parking I could've taken a nap out there and not bothered anyone.

Yelp
In the new area of Allston, at Boston Landing. Had a cheeseburger and then went a second time for the hot dog. All good. The hand cut fries were the best. Prices a reasonable and parking on street. Worth going.

Yelp
Great shroom and swiss! Perfectly cooked. Juicy and messy..delish fries. Yummy chocolate frappe. I wish they served coffee... Will be bsck

Yelp
Food was really good! Customer service was excellent. I had a burger called "The Beast" and it taste great! Shake was really good too. A bit pricey, but good experience overall!

Yelp
I am impressed, Mainely Burgers was truly astonishing. All the recommendations are worth to try. Every single thing was extremely flavorful and tasty. The servers are really welcoming and polite. Overall, had a wonderful experience at Mainely Burgers and I am looking forward to returning.

Venkat K.

Yelp
Good burgers in the neighborhood! Place was packed with customers, be a bit earlier(11:30am) if u want to sit and eat.
google avatar

Mike M.

Yelp
I wish all burgers were Mainely burgers! Went with the "MB Classic" burger and it did not disappoint one bit. All ingredients were extremely fresh and delicious, and the MB house sauce added a nice, zesty flavor on top. This place is an absolute beauty.
google avatar

Mike -.

Yelp
I really wanted to like this place. 3 straight Uber eats orders where I have selected chicken and gotten beef instead (I don't eat beef) and I can't do it anymore. The food seems to be ok but try actually reading what your customers ordered before sending out items and wasting everyone's time & money.
google avatar

Madeleine C.

Yelp
Great burgers and lots of indoor seating! Their sweet potato fries are a must as well

Clyde L.

Yelp
Very Nice place for a fast food burger joint. These are 5 star burgers with top notch bun and toppings. Pickles were some of the best I have ever had. I got the Classic burger with truffle oil fries and my friend got the Mainah Burger and frappe. The burgers were cooked to perfection! So why 4 stars? If I could it would be 4.5 stars because the burgers were SO good but the fries were meh. At least the truffle oil fries were. Everything else was fantastic. One pet peeve is (this is if you are new to the restaurant) when you walk in it is difficult to see the whole menu. As you walk in the menu is not right in front of you but off to the side and down. I Could not see half the menu until I sat down. I then realized there were specials and hot dogs and more. Look forward to going back.
google avatar

Lola N.

Yelp
So good!! This is new to my neighborhood -Boston Landing/Allston/Brighton. I had a grilled chicken sandwich which was the best I'd ever consumed! The chicken was marinated, extremely tasty and grilled to perfection. Bun was soft and fresh and delish! On my sandwich I had the normal cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickle and this amazing spicy thai mayo. It was so bomb! The owner as well as the rest of staff are super friendly and make you feel welcomed!

Yelp
Just opened at Boston Landing next to New Balance HQ (which you can see from the MA Pike). Have been a couple times since their opening. Everything was tasty - burgers, chicken sandos and even side veg is top notch. I'm holding off until after the Holidays to try and shake, but you shouldn't - they look delicious. Highly recommend this place. Playful mural and other fun Maine-themed touches throughout the restaurant. Plenty of seats and move people quickly through the line. Seems like a good place to take the family after a skate at the Warrior Ice Arena too. High marks all around.

Mariam A.

Yelp
Ive been to this place twice so far, they make really good burgers and veggie burgers! I recommend the shroom and swiss the most. Don't forget to get the truffle fries as well! Will definitely keep coming back.
google avatar

Ashley Z.

Yelp
I have gone here several times, it is good for a quick bite. Nothing special. Tasty but greasy. It's convenient. Several fried veggie options. I have yet to try a shake, they seem popular though, almost every table has one, least when I have gone. Not in a rush to go back but I still would.
google avatar

Tyler S.

Yelp
This new burger stop just served me the BEST burger I've ever eaten. The burger I got was the "coop" which had eggs, beef, opinion, spicy mayo sauce , and lettuce. The egg was not dripping all over the place like normally other burger places serve such an item. The egg was cooked just in between runny and fried for perfection. I can not stress how flavorful this burger was, i would have kept ordering food if I had the time. I would highly recommend coming here if you want a burger or sanwhich (with option variety such as Beef, Veggie, or chicken) that doesn't break the bank. All the burgers there are under $10 which is a steal by a long shot.

John M.

Yelp
Amazing addition to the Brighton Oak Square area. The burgers/sandwiches here are great and made entirely fresh. If i could compare the burgers to anywhere I would say Shake Shack. NEvertheless, the burger was cooked to perfection and as a treat I got a fried chicken sandwich as well. Nice location right in Boston Landing with enough parking to accommodate anyone. I would also recommend the Cacio E Pepe fries as I have gotten them twice now and looking to go back to get them again. Would highly recommend this place if your looking for a somewhere with a nice ambiance, fresh food, enough parking and to leave full! I think this will be some tough competition to Jim's and Eagles Deli in Brighton.
google avatar

Kim K.

Yelp
I've eaten here twice. The first time was great enough that I came back a second time. The second time was okay, at best. The person who took my order didn't greet me and just stood there waiting for me to place my order, didn't ask how I wanted my burger cooked and what bun option I wanted. When the burger was ready it was cooked rare and dripping with grease and included a slab of cheese, which I didn't ask for, so they had to make me a new burger. I had to explain 2x what my order was and when it arrived it still wasn't cooked medium well but reluctantly ate it. I also ordered the truffle park fries which seemed fine until I got to the last layer and realized they were sitting in fried oil. While I was eating, the place seemed low energy and the 2 cashiers just stood behind the counter like zombies with their faces planted into their phones. There are enough good burger joints around, so this is probably my last visit.
google avatar

Bobbi F.

Yelp
ordered a veggie burger and they straight up gave me a regular burger, haven't eaten meat in over 7 years and bit right into it...like serious yall??

Kathleen K.

Yelp
I want to like this place but have not had good luck. My biggest complaint is they use liquid cheese and thin buns so the burgers come out sopping. It's not just messy but kind of disgusting to eat a wet dripping roll that falls apart in your hands. Everyone I know complains about it. Food is extremely expensive for what you get - will set you back about 15-18 for lunch so same cost as better restaurants in area. Main benefit is the speed and the food itself seems fresh.

Andres G.

Yelp
Consistently great, love the Swiss & Mushroom burger, my girlfriend loves the veggie burger too. Good service. Pretty casual.

Richard T.

Yelp
Awesome burger !!!! Can't remember the last time I've had such a tasty Burger! 5 stars absolutely wonderful!!!! Thanks

Yelp
This is by far one of the best burger places in town. Have been here many times. The fried coli. Is fantastic
