Here’s a large mall that I’ll recommend for its volume and variety of stores, great for holiday shopping! While there may not be the amount of high end designer shops here as I’ve recently covered, there’s many independent retailers offering some high end sales of clothing, shoes and accessories. The mall may also appeal to budget conscious consumers seeking to find similar styles at affordable prices. There’s shops of services, entertainment and essentials. A large gym is located at the south end of the mall by the game room. There’s also a large assortment of mall vendors available for additional items, novelties and services. A designated food court has popular fast food choices available, located at about mid mall. Restrooms are nearby for easy access. Dine-in restaurants and snack bars are located randomly as well. Parking is provided all around the mall, with open lot and garage spaces. It helps to view the map prior to choosing the optimal spot for access. Disabled handicapped priority is good with placard. The Main Place Mall just about has it all, although an included general discount variety store would help to complete the trip here. It’s a bit dated, mid 80’s on the inside, tho progressively functional and clean with revisions! Decor is provided to fit the occasion, as the holiday spirit pervades the mindset of shopping!

Nice clean mall. Came from out of town. Like the variety such of merchandise store, food, and entertainment (pool, bowling, arcade).

Cool little mall here in Santa Ana, Ca. My first time here, I needed to waste an hour and a half and I was around the area. It’s rare for me being around the Santa Ana area, I just don’t really have a reason to go lol. Saturday between 10 am - Noon. Plenty of parking. I used the structured parking lot. According to my daughter who used to frequent this mall, there some new shops inside. Very clean, very pleasant atmosphere. Grab your Starbucks drink and shop around. I did a lot of window shopping today lol. Good selection of shops. Good food court area. Cinema inside. Worth the visit!

Amazing mall! I love that they have wifi lounge to just sit down and chill with our devices xD, the food selection is wide, there's a lot of famous brand clothing stores, I've even found a custom shirt and car decal shop in it. The only thing I don't like is that they don't have much restrooms around.

Google
It's fine. Not a dead mall but not quite thriving either. I miss the Lucille's that used to be here. There are some fun shops and desserts still it's just kind of middle of the road as far as malls go. It has more going on then a dead mall by far but it's not as busy or thriving as bigger malls not too far away like South Coast Plaza or Fashion Island. I think it's impressive that it does so well with the Block at Orange (Orange outlets) so very near by. If you like all of the typical mall stores it has them. If you want that extra fancy mall experience with high end stores, carousels, fountains, pop up boutique stuff, etc, it's a bit behind on that kind of thing.

Google
The 2 story mall is nice, clean with shops, not so many brand names. Lots of restaurants around it. There’s bowling and game room, shooting game store, Ninja store is good place to throw a Birthday party. Lots of parking.

Google
Not a big mall but it had everything we came here for. And it was clean and the staff is very friendly and welcoming. Plus we didn’t have to fight the crowds lol we got in and got out in record time. We hit the Guess store and Shoe Palace!

Yelp
Peaceful, not overcrowded and there are still plenty of stores to choose from and lots of spots to eat at or get snacks.

Yelp
This shopping mall really surprised me. Super spacious to walk around. Holiday crowds look motivated and Christmas year end vibes are everywhere. Their lot is huge and so are the free public parking garages. Easy walk across the ramps or crosswalks to enter/exit the mall. All retailers are open. Not empty for sure. Amazing. Their food court is so much bigger than ones at other shopping mall food courts too. Lots of selections. Building is modern inside and well painted. It's definitely a spot for holiday walking. Good cashier service at most places. Good value for what you can find here. This shopping mall is not far from freeways. Customers look happy and comfortable. You can find America's afford brands here. Outlet prices. Not ghetto or bad at all. Retail display windows actually look great/better than most. They have good fashion taste here. While the outside doesn't look as interesting, the inside is worth walking around the two floors many times. Good management for shopping mall quality. Potential here.

Yelp
Not a bad mall- I've been here a few times. It's a pretty basic mall really. I like that there's plenty of parking and the parking includes a parking garage with plenty of non-covered parking too. I've been to this mall a few times now. The food court is basic too. Sbarro Pizza, Wetzels Pretzels, Panda Express, etc.
google avatar

Linh P.

Yelp
Decent mall with a good amount of stores. (Forever 21, hm, etc) There's plenty of parking and even a parking garage! They also have a round 1 here as well

Yelp
The food: I felt all sorts of waves of nostalgia being in this mall even though I've never been here prior to today. It looks very 90s-esque still with the theater box office sign looking old and colorful, the checkered tile floors, the food court shape and windows, the lamps inside, and the long escalators. There were lots of interesting stores here including a Quineanera dress store, a kids' indoor playground, a gift shop with fake flowers and bears, and a brow place. There's a bowling alley and theater here. The mall has a lot of Mexican-centric places outside of the dress shop that included a paleta shop in the food court and couple of Mexican restaurants. I like how the food court had an area with small kids tables. The bad: It's outdated. For folks, like myself, that's ok because nostalgia is so precious. The floor in the food court kids table area was really sticky. Some of the stores are random like an orthodontics office, an empty corner store staged with mannequins made to look like a cafe (or if was a former cafe), an empty store front with a heart shelf you could take pictures with, etc. The interesting: There's a human claw machine where you can act as a claw by laying in a swing that moves you around and over stuffed animals. There are coin operated massage chairs.

Yelp
This place reminds me of an old school mall and brings back nostalgic mall memories. Main place is clean, not too big, has a good food court and plenty of food options to pick from. Parking is never a problem.

Yelp
Boy has this mall sure changed in the last decade. Lots of new stores inside and fun eats. Ethnic foods everywhere and some classics. No more Hot Dog on a Stick but Sbarro pizza is still here and Mrs. Fields cookies. It was nice to walk around and check out all the stores and kiosks. Many anime stores and even a boot store with cowboy hats! Bring the family and stop in and enjoy a day at the mall. Lots of parking and not so crowded on a Sunday.
google avatar

Yelp
Main Place isn't what it was back in the day. It's really dull. All the good restaurants have departed. The food court doesn't have anything really good. Several of the good stores are gone. I remember the days when malls were fun. They were like the mall on Fast Times at Ridgemont High. Since Main Place is so dead, there's plenty of parking. The mall walkers probably like it.
google avatar

Nola M.

Yelp
Wow has this place changed. The Nordstrom closed. It's considered an anchor store, which attracts shoppers, as it did me. There are many, many jewelry stores. Lots of food court food. Lots of empty store fronts; their windows have goods and a sign directing you to the actual store. The two major stores I visited, (Macy's and JCPenney), were messy. I couldn't find staff to help me. I'm so sad.

Yelp
I have been coming to this mall since I was a little kid. It's just off the 5 & 22 freeway on Main St. Bordering Santa Ana & the city of Orange. It's always been a pretty busy mall every day from just before lunch time, til closing. But there's lots of parking including 2 parking structures. There is a good amount of different types of stores, and restaurants at this mall. They also have a mall account that you can sign up for called My Perks. I have signed up and get all the special offers and giveaways emailed to me. Today on International Woman's Day, they were giving away gift cards to the newly opened JCP Beauty. There was a little bit of a line, but I got mine! Love these perks!
google avatar

Greg C.

Yelp
Management doesn't bother with upkeep. Look at these car chargers that have been "out of order" for almost a year.
google avatar

Leslie E.

Yelp
I found this place to be great. They have jcp, macys, Ashly furniture. And a lot of shops. A few closed, very few. The mall look fresh, clean, and had plenty of security walking around, not sitting in the office like some other places. The place was very clean and not a lot of music. So you did not have to talk over it. It is a fantastic place on a bad weather day. The one thing that would be great would be an Apple Store. This is a go too for a relaxing walk. The service I found in all the stores I went into were friendly. It's a little expensive now, but when sales start it would again end great.
google avatar

LINA M.

Yelp
Typical mall with your usual stores and a big food court with lots of options! They have a jumping place for kids inside and also a human claw game.
google avatar

Winny H.

Yelp
Decent mall if you are shopping around. There used to be a Nordstrom here but it closed for good. Now there's still Macys and JCP. You still have the usual vendor kiosks, food court (little rundown), movie theater (cheap tickets but run down), and typical stores like VA, Brighton's, Spencer's etc. Beware of the elevator that goes to the movie theater. It's scary and broken. I got in one day and was stuck there for awhile. When you push the help button it didn't ring. No reception so like any scary movie your mind start wandering. Then elevator started buzzing for a long time and then finally crept up to the second floor. Overall took almost 5 minutes to get there. Super scary. The escalators located at rest of the mall sometimes works and sometimes broken. Ugg Vendors are ok. Most are in their phone not working hard but when you approach them and ask a question then they will help you. Other stores like Brighton and VS and Spencer's are fine. Shoe stores are always stocked and friendly staff. Given that this mall recently renovated the last few years it's a lot better now. Still would need some maintenance in areas. Otherwise the other side of the mall close to JCP is good. There's a Boudin and sushi place that's decent and clean.

Yelp
I recently took my daughter to the indoor playground here and saw that there are more activities for kids here. They have a ninja warrior place there now, kind of like an obstacle course, trampoline indoor place. They put up nice backgrounds for people to take pictures and there's a big claw machine on the bottom where the kids can pick their own stuff animal:) There are many places for kids here.

Yelp
I use to frequent this mall when i lived in Fullerton. I was bummed to see a year or 2 before Covid hit. Nordstrom shut down. But Why Came here after 4 years to an indoor playground Candeeland for a play date. The mall has had a lot of empty spots. Located inside Main Place Mall on the 2nd Floor next to Ashley Furniture. Above the playground & Round 1. Love the concept of having this indoor playground in the mall: it's great for Fathers or teenage kids to watch younger kids. While mommie shops. LoL. Great entertainment for dad/kids. Lots of lounge like seating area and plenty of tables and chairs for everyone. They have a Starbucks right below the front w entrance of escalator below food court. ~Genghis Khan Mongolian Noodle is a must try. Really yummy n can share among 2-3 person if not too hungry. They stir fry the noodles and your other option choice in front of you. Lots of other Food restaurants available. Panini Kabob Grill. Cpk to name a few. Mall is lacking some stores but still have a few good ones. 12.28.22

Yelp
This mall is a little overcrowded sometimes and with there being so many young people just roaming the mall, it gets a little bit undesirable to go here. There are some good places, but trying to find an entrance and exits elevators gets a bit cumbersome. Sometimes it is also dirty, but was pretty good today. The food court is really lacking in signature food places. They have changed so many over the years you can't develop a favorite. Will go here in the future when I need to, but not a first choice destination.

Yelp
I went to this mall on a weekday and they stopped me to ID me. One of the security guards said I "had a backpack" and I didn't they were assuming and said to me "we were following u around" I never had a backpack and they wouldn't let me go anywhere until I showed my ID

Yelp
I can't complain too much about this mall as it is the only mall near me that actually resembles the malls I grew up with in the 90s: food court, children's play areas, old school stores. We visit frequently as this mall is home to our childrens' favorite indoor playground: Candeeland. Kudos to the mall for also opening up a Ninja Warrior playground. My girls are too young for it but we can't wait to take them there. What's great about this mall is you can sign up for their free VIP program and get nice perks like access to the beautiful members only lounge during the monthly art events as well as discounts and monthly gifts. I have so far received a plant starter kit, made my own candle, and got a travel painting set for my daughter! I only docked a star because the layout of the mall is super annoying. Especially where Candeeland is located. The bottom floor of this part of the mall is completely abandoned and not maintained. You can't use the escalators or even enter from the first floor of this part of the mall. We didn't know this and it took us awhile to finally figure out how to get into the mall. Oh yeah, and the food court has a ton of options and even a cute section with small tables and chairs for little ones and their families. However! Be sure to ask for extra napkins and utensils when you order a meal because once you miss that chance there is no place to get extras. All the restaurants hide and hoard them. They don't leave them out for people to take if they forgot to ask for them at the register. Hopefully one day they will fully open up that section of the mall and it will be much nicer!

Yelp
I came here main to get food with the family, but ended up having so much fun since they also had round 1 which was really cool.

Yelp
I really like this mall: 1) easy parking 2) wi-fi lounges 3) friendly, professional mall security 4) i saw Taylor Swift Eras Tour movie here, nice theater

Milca R.

Yelp
Definitivamente love to go with my family to the MainPlace mall.. economic there are things that are at very great price.. definitely recommend going to the main place mall

Wyatt Cole V.

Yelp
1 star there threatening us to call security the seats are damaged the theater is in poor condition the manager is like 18 years old all the workers are in there teens 1 star

Yelp
My friends and I went to main place mall as it's my first time visiting today. Also, I would love to revisit again as I usually do once in a while as any other malls I can visit on weekends. I'm glad they got toys r us at Macy's and American ninja warrior training obstacles as I have been experiencing the exercises for the competition on NBC. Lastly, I'll recommend this to my friends and family who will love this main place mall in Santa Ana.

Yelp
Mall doesn't have baby changing tables in all restrooms and has a family lounge that is good in theory. The lounge was closed and left us very limited on where change our babies. The food court is open, and most food options are not ready for service. The Great Khans is not self serve and you have to pay extra for wants and needs. If you prefer extra of anything, meat veggies sauces (more than what the worker gives you) expect to pay.0.

Yelp
Decent mall. Mainly come here for the 24 hour fitness gym. However this review is mainly for a property issue. Ever since they built the paloma apartments they took a lot of the parking where the gym members would park. Now a majority of members park by round 1. During the week around 5-7pm there are a lot of cars going in and out and i believe there needs to be 2 stop signs added on the little street in front of panini kabob grill. It should be a 3-way stop as cars speed by and I've almost been hit a few times.

Mr.BuffetSoCal ..

Yelp
During my recent visit to Main Place Mall in Santa Ana, I encountered several issues that significantly impacted my overall experience. This review aims to shed light on these concerns and provide an honest assessment for potential visitors. 1. Safety Concerns: Main Place Mall raises genuine safety concerns for all visitors, regardless of gender. Incidents like the recent abduction and rape in the mall's parking structure highlight the inadequacy of security measures in place. This unsettling event suggests that the mall's security should be strengthened to ensure the safety and well-being of all patrons. It is disheartening to think that such incidents can occur within the premises. 2. Security Measures: Unfortunately, Main Place Mall's security measures left much to be desired during my visit. There was a noticeable lack of visible security personnel actively patrolling the mall and monitoring potential threats. This absence of a robust security presence adds to the overall safety concerns. In light of recent events, it is imperative that the mall management takes immediate action to address and improve the security measures within the premises. 3. Foot Traffic and Food Quality: One notable drawback of Main Place Mall is the lower foot traffic it receives compared to other shopping centers. As a result, the mall can feel somewhat dull and lacking in energy. Moreover, the quality of food offered by the restaurants and eateries was disappointing. The meals I had were of subpar quality, and the prices were unreasonably high. This negatively impacted the overall dining experience, adding to the mall's overall underwhelming atmosphere. 4. Recent Criminal Incident: The recent incident involving abduction and rape in the mall's parking structure is deeply concerning and should not be taken lightly. Such criminal incidents undermine the sense of security for all visitors. It is crucial that Main Place Mall takes immediate and effective action to improve security measures, enhance surveillance, and collaborate with local law enforcement to ensure the safety of its visitors. In conclusion, Main Place Mall falls short in several key areas, including safety, security, foot traffic, and food quality. The recent criminal incident only amplifies these concerns. Until significant improvements are made to address these issues, it is difficult to recommend Main Place Mall as a safe and enjoyable shopping destination. Visitors should exercise caution and consider alternative options that prioritize customer safety and offer a more fulfilling shopping experience.

Yelp
Very good selections, free membership of my perks app with new offers. Interest in stores with vendors like trendy bracelets. Attending the wonderful event.

Yelp
I used to love coming here. Now it just feels like the Anaheim swapmeet. The place is clean but the crowds are ghetto.

Dakota A.

Yelp
Constantly cancels and rescheduled. Terrible customer service I don't know where they find these people.
google avatar

Yelp
I enjoy coming to Main Place Mall because they have a wide selection of stores and a large food court. I like the Cinnabon in the food court. The mall is pretty big so it's a good place to get exercise and shop at the same time. I like how they have lots of different types of stores. The c only con is that the mall is not as clean as some other malls.
google avatar

Giovanna D.

Yelp
A decently well selection, the floor made me intially kind of nauseous because of the werid design but once I got upstairs it was a differnt floor which made it a bit better but never the less this mall is huge and pretty neat photo ops .
google avatar

Keith M.

Yelp
This mall has come a long way. It used to be a near ghost town. There are now shops to please every taste...unless you need a Hallmark card. Parking can be a challenge, especially near the anchor stores. Keep in mind, the mall is surrounded by more shopping. Don't give up if the mall doesn't have it. There is prime shopping throughout the area.
google avatar

Victor D.

Yelp
Standard mall. Clean. Still has directories to find where stores are located unlike some other malls.

Grant C.

Yelp
Crappy mall, crappy management. They don't make any effort to fix their stuff up (ev chargers, escalators, etc). No reason to come here. The only reason people seem to come is to let their kids run around the lobby
google avatar

Carmen L.

Yelp
This mall is half dying; used to have more stores and selections but they kept closing down and could not survive even before the pandemic...hope they will find some nice stores to fill the space up.

E E.

Yelp
You don't get a partial refund when you place your shopping cart back as stated. You try to put it back to lock in place and it's impossible, even after slamming it inside because it doesn't go through. Looks like they do it on purpose so you can't get your money back.
google avatar

Yesenia A.

Yelp
Just had to come here to repair my watch today and had to stop at some shops before closing. Didnt buy anything other than small snack at cinnabon. I havent had them in years and had not come here in a year when I swapped the other batteries. They have a good variety of stores, new restaurants, prices are still ok. I liked the decor for chinese new year, very festive and bright and how there was no one around to bump into. I mean it was closing time, still had fun walking around.
google avatar

Yelp
I haven't been here in a while so I decided to come here because my friend wanted to shop here. It has changed recently, with apartments popping up where a parking lot used to be. And because of this the amount of parking next to the Round1 decreased significantly, making it harder to park in that area if one's main reason for visiting the mall is to use it. We drove around the parking lot for over 15 minutes trying to find a space. In the end we had to park really far away from the closest entrance, and I was on the verge of leaving and going to the Outlets at Orange had we not found a space. The issue with adults sending their kids to intercept us for solicitation also got a lot more severe as my friend said she had a child isolate her specifically to solicit money from in an entire crowd. For some reason they also limited the number of people in the store and she had to wait to go in. This experience soured my base expectations of this mall and if those apartments ever get finished it would probably get worse. I might only come here on weekdays when I have time.

Felisha E.

Yelp
Victoria Secret in the mall was awsome for my wife a lady named Sophia was so so helpful.
google avatar

Jennifer A.

Yelp
From the outside the Mom doesn't seem big inside. There's such a huge variety of clothes, stores for both men and women, shoes clothing jewelry all the things
google avatar

Lizette R.

Yelp
Preventable hostile measures, just wanted to suggest Merchants in the food court to add arrows on the floor for the lines to form accordingly. A couple of times I've gone to the Cinnabon people are scattered because they do not understand the "spoon/ fork" pictures facing one direction unbelievably. Makes it unfair for those of us that comprehend to have to wait for those whom cut the line. Cashiers can also address the list crowd to stand in line correctly. Thanks!
google avatar

Gmoney G.

Yelp
oh mainplace. used to be a great mall.. i wanted sees candy. THEY GOT RID OF IT!! half of the stores are empty and the other half are clothing stores or stores no one goes in and buy anything. really upsetting. theres new food stands that werent there before. this mall has really gone downhill
google avatar

Linda V.

Yelp
It's a mall. Which is fine, as far as parking and selection of your average, run of the mill mall stores go. What I didn't particularly enjoy was their selection in the food court, which is irrelevant if you're coming here just to shop.
google avatar

Rachel N.

Yelp
I like the main place but this one store got me and my friends so mad today. I am giving a one star to this store called beauty world. As I walked in I went to go look at the glitter that I wanted but had second thoughts and just kept it in my hand because I wasn't sure if I was gonna get it but because I kept having second thoughts then when I looked to my left this Asian lady. I think she was security she looked at me weirdly and went to her cashier people probably telling them I was here last week(because I was hanging out with a friend because she was leaving for Mexico but this time I came with my different friends) and was probably assuming that I had a chance to steal something which I wasn't because cause we were raised well. I thought nothing of it and just looked around with my friends when we were looking at lip liners this employee came up to me and said oh here's a basket I didn't think anything of it. Then as I went to the other side a different employee came up to us saying "Here's a basket it's our store policy for teenagers" That's weird they didn't baskets to other people in the store because they were teenagers too. As me and my friends went to the hair dye section talking about if my mom is gonna let me dye my hair again. My friend notices the employee was right behind us pretending to look at something but knowing dang well that bitch was watching us if we were gonna steal something. We were still looking around and the employee's eyes were still on us but not the other people. Hope the fucking see this and how bad they feel ruining some people's day because we were assume for stealing. Never going to the beauty world again unless there's different fucking employees thank you.

Yelp
Was surprised to see how big this mall was. Came here after trying to find something to do and seeing that the mall was close by. The stores are quite big here and I was amazed by the size of the H&M store. I definitely would love to try out the America Ninja Warrior course sometime here!
google avatar

Yelp
I been to this place last night and I got to say. I'm so impressed with this place. It honestly earned my respect to come here. When you come here around Black Friday or some day before Christmas. There's a lot of Christmas decorations and come here during the nights because it's really breath-taking. I couldn't stop smiling the entire time I was in here. The outdoor decorations are really lovely and really breath-taking to look at. The employees here are really amazing and really professional with their job. Parking was quite okay. I found a spot a couple of yards away from the main entrance.

Yelp
This was a really nice mall. Very clean and tons of places to shop. The food court had a good selection of food and seemed steady with business. The mall seemed very safe and well taken care of. We stopped there because they have Tesla super chargers.
