Maison Alyzée

If you really wanna experience French style of bakery, this is it. This place sits right on prime Burlingame Avenue and instantly draws you in with its classic French outdoor seating — those Parisian-style chairs and tables are impossible to ignore. Walking Inside you see a dangerously huge variety of pastries. Seriously hard to choose. I’ve been here at least five times and still haven’t repeated a single item. The triple chocolate croissant is a standout (OMG — I’ve never had one like this anywhere else in the Bay Area), and the pistachio croissant is an absolute must-try. Honestly, everything is delicious. I finally came with a French friend, and he said it actually feels like Paris — French approved ✅. Just a heads-up: it does get packed during peak brunch hours. Easily one of my top 3 spots in Burlingame.

I found a fancy cake and cafe shop!! There were so many amazing cakes and pastries. I bought some cakes to go. Look at this picture, the staff secured each cake with tapes, these cakes had been kept in their beautiful shape. (Good point) These cakes taste and look perfect. This shop is gonna be one of my favorite shops!!

Maison Alyzee cakes are one of the best in the Bay Area. I’m especially a fan of their chocolate desserts: the signature chocolate tart with hazelnut praline is deliciously rich, the tiramisu pastries perfectly light and creamy and the harmony is sweeter chocolate muss.

The tarts and mini cakes at Maison Alyzée are a must-try! The pastries are good but generally on the higher end of the price range ($6-7). The mini cakes and tarts, in my opinion, are reasonably priced for the quality. The strawberry pistachio tart was delicious. The place itself is spotless with a minimalist decor, creating a nice atmosphere for a chill meetup with friends

Finally a true French patisserie in the Bay Area - as good as any in Paris. The deserts are out of this world. If you like chocolate, try the Harmony - the most amazing combination of flavors, textures and just deliciousness. The croissants are great, the macarons are delicious, apparently even the coffee is delicious (I don’t drink coffee). I have had the hot chocolate which imagine the chocolate you’d use in say a chocolate soufflé, melt it and pour it into a cup. It’s like molten icing - a little thick but out of this world. Great ambiance, can be a little slow on service but the people are very nice who work there.

Another day, and another perfect eating experience at Maison Alyzée! New Lunar Year Mandarine Sesame Croissant withFrench organic butter, Mandarine Confit, Sesame & Opalys Valrhona white chocolate ganache, Sesame seeds. Vanilla Latte and Water to go with. DELICIOUS! Perfect service, and a beautiful location in Burlingame California while sitting at the window watching the good people and doggos. You'll want to enjoy Maison Alyzée too!

This place is amazing! Love the staff who was nice and kind to us ~ Everything tastes good here but the pistachio cake was god sent. Not too sweet, most importantly. Highly recommend.

Everything looked so good, and tasted even better. Like the name suggests, this place feels like legit French patisserie. Super classy, not too sweet, and just really well-balanced flavors. I had a coffee éclair and some macarons, really good. And I want to come back to try others.

Super cute French patisserie in downtown Burlingame! Overall I really enjoyed the pastries / desserts that we got, but there were some details that could have been improved, and it was pretty expensive. My friend and I shared a kouign amann, pain au chocolate, a dessert called 100% pistachio, and a European hot chocolate. The pastries were pretty good, not the freshest I've had but still flaky and buttery. I liked the pistachio tart -- the pistachio crème was really smooth and I liked the chocolate shell. Hot chocolate was warm and thick, very European style. One of my qualms was that there weren't any labeled signs for any of the pastries in the case, so I had no idea what everything was and how much they were. For example, I saw a croissant that looked like pain au chocolat but the one they gave us was not what I was looking at. Also, the total was $40 which did catch me a little by surprise but was not unexpected. Furthermore, I'm not sure why our kouign amann was served to us upside down? The vibe is nice though, and there's some small tables outside to enjoy everything.

Maison adds glamour to Burlingame Ave. This French bakery has a nice welcoming modern European motif with white and black tile and elegant display of artistic pastries. There must be a better word for what you will encounter as you gaze upon the offerings. It's like a museum for artisan bakers. Enough of the eye candy. The taste is just as amazing as they look. Lite. Airy. Explosion of flavors. The expresso and tea selection are also top notch. I had an evening decaf cappuccino that gave me an OMG moment. It was full flavor with a hint of chocolate. The owners are usually serving customers. They are very friendly and attentive. Indoor and outdoor seating gives one the full Parisian experience. Nice presentation, but uninspiring and just bland. My colleague had Tiramisu and I had the Signature Chocolate Tart. I dropped my colleague, a chef, back at the Westin and I continued on home to Berkeley in anticipation of what I had purchased. I was thinking maybe I can add this to my reserve list (e.g. B. Patisserie) of patisserie's I frequent when not preparing pastry myself. I was extremely disappointed as well as my colleague who presents Chef Tables at Sky Lounges all over the US.

I really like this place for coffee and pastries. The quality is very good. However, the service is pretty bad. They always have a long slow line and aren't good about cleaning up tables . It looks like they have people doing too many different things like serving, cashier or making drinks so it's inefficient. This last time they took forever when it wasn't too busy and forgot the order. I had to ask and they went back to get it. I've been to the other location too. Like I said, the coffee and pastries are very good but it's very expensive and the service makes it not worth it.

Maison Alyzee has a lot going for it, especially if you're a fan of beautifully crafted pastries with some serious French flair. I popped in for a quick sweet fix and went with the **lemon tart** and **coffee eclair**--two items that instantly caught my eye from the pastry case. Let's start with the **lemon tart**. Wow, this was *amazing*. The balance of tart and sweet was *chef's kiss* perfection--bright, tangy, and just sweet enough without being overwhelming. The crust was light and buttery, the filling smooth and zesty, and every bite was a little burst of sunshine. If you're a lemon dessert lover, this is definitely worth the visit. The **coffee eclair** was a bit more decadent. The eclair itself was perfectly light and airy, and the highlight was those **chocolatized coffee beans**--seriously, those beans were next level. They added such a rich, deep coffee flavor that blended beautifully with the creamy filling. This was a rich, indulgent treat that had me feeling pretty fancy, but also a little guilty after a few bites (in the best way possible). That being said, the service didn't really match the quality of the pastries. I was hoping for a warmer, more welcoming experience, but the staff wasn't particularly kind or patient. Maybe they were having an off day, but I was a bit disappointed by the lack of warmth and attentiveness, especially for a place that's as polished as Maison Alyzee. It's not a huge deal, but it definitely left a bit of a sour taste in my mouth, pun intended. Overall, the pastries were stellar, but the service could definitely use some improvement. I'd still come back for that lemon tart and eclair, but I'll go in with slightly lower expectations for the hospitality. If you're in the mood for a truly delicious treat and don't mind a bit of attitude, Maison Alyzee's pastry game is on point.

Stopped by here before dinner for a quick coffee to warm up, but decided on tea and couldn't resist their pastries. I had their hazelnut chocolate cake with one of their fruit flavored teas. I had to buy their chocolate croissant, tea sampler box, and a few jars of their jams. The cake and tea were delicious! I wasn't a fan of their croissants and kouign Anna's, but their cakes were the best! Overall, cute little cafe on Burlingame's main strip with friendly and helpful service.

Overpriced tiny desserts are my kryptonite... how could you resist the bright ambiance, fancy French name and gold foiled paper discs? At 6:30pm, it was impressive to see a good amount of selection and it took me awhile to decide what I wanted to blow my diet over. Honestly I could've order one of everything because everything just looked so perfectly enticing. Paris Brest $10.75 Almond and hazelnut cream Harmony $10.50 Milk chocolate mousse, praline crust, dark chocolate brownie, milk chocolate glaze Oh my... the little piece of Harmony was divine and that really tempted me to get more of whatever else they have!! I honestly don't know how people savor their desserts because I apparently have zero impulse control. I appreciate the ambiance of dining on real plates with utensils. They also have fresh water on self serve tap and the bathrooms are nice. I think the employees could use a little more customer service training. For starters they could learn to be more warm and inviting. I understand they're probably just students from the nearby high school but you gotta start somewhere to learn proper customer service, especially considering the clientele and atmosphere of Burlingame Ave.

Maison Alyzée makes the best cakes around that are not too sweet! I have tried three of their cakes, the Mojito ($11 for an individual cake), Black Forest ($11 for an individual cake) and the Christmas Pistachio Raspberry Log ($60 for a 6.75 inch cake for 4-6 people). I can't say which one is my favorite because they are all really good, but the Mojito is definitely unique. If you are craving something sweet, definitely try one of their cakes!

Great place to enjoy your coffee, French style! The coffee is excellent--I tried both the cortado and cappuccino, and they were delightful. What I loved most was the ambiance--fresh, bright, and full of light, with white marble and fresh flowers. You just can't resist the temptation to step inside!

Very limited and artificial tasting macarons. Probably the worst I've had at a bakery. The service didn't feel warm. The vibe on the block on a sunny day is nice, though.

You must try this bakery. Love the ambiance, delectable desserts, and service here. It feels like a an escape into a French or Italian bakery. My favorite is the triple chocolate croissant. Chefs kiss

I just shared the hazelnut dessert that the severe recommended. It was super delicious and honestly not too sweet as I expected. The place itself is a great place to sit, drink coffee, and chat with some loved ones. The people working there are super nice and helpful as well. I def want to come back and try some other yummy sweet treats!

See a bakery, buy something from a bakery. I'm such a sucker for these small pastry shops. Still on a quest to find the best Kouign-amann & Cannele. Cute little coffee & pastry shop in downtown Burlingame. Small seating area. They serve brunch items like Quiche Lorraine, Veggie Quiche, & Croque Monsieur (my fave!). For pastries, the Kouign-amann was okay. Not sure if I just got a piece that didn't have as much sugar, but it just tasted like a regular croissant in a muffin shape. The Cannele de Bordeaux on the other hand was amazing. The almond croissant & the chocolate almond one was perfectly flaky & buttery. We also took a Vanilla Mille Feuille & a mixed berry tart to go.

Maison Alyzée is heaven-sent! We visited on NYE at around 1 p.m., so it was understandably busy. There aren't very many tables inside, but there's plenty of seating outside. Sitting abreast, enjoying tea and one of their fine desserts, is chic and perfectly fitting for a café that epitomizes elegance. When I say everything is delicious, I mean it wholeheartedly. Admittedly, I haven't tasted everything--after all, I've only visited once, and I was in town from LA. But we ordered the vanilla bean flan, the chocolate croissant roll, and the mille-feuille, and we were delightfully pleased. I'll admit, it's a bit pricey, but the pastries are worth every penny. To me, the enjoyment of pastries--or any dessert--comes down to two things: texture and flavor. It's not uncommon today to find a croissant or flaky pastry that looks enticing in the bakery case but falls flat once it hits your palate or crumbles into a dry, unflaky mess. But not here. The vanilla bean flan was spectacular, with rich vanilla flavors shining through its creamy texture--and you can actually see the vanilla bean specks! The chocolate croissant roll was absolutely indulgent, perfectly flaky and crisp with a luscious chocolate cream-filled center. And the mille-feuille? Light, creamy, and utterly luxurious. Maison Alyzée has officially set the bar for mille-feuille. I haven't tried everything, but I have no doubt that every item is crafted with the same exceptional care. And the best part of all was the service. Sometimes, no matter how delicious the food is, the service defines the experience--and Maison Alyzée's service was impeccable. We even met the owner, who was busy serving customers and bussing tables. Ylena (I'm not sure if I've spelled that correctly) was warm and friendly, making the experience even more memorable. Maison Alyzée's pastries are works of art, and what a joy it was to bask in their beauty. We will surely be back.

Yay, a bakery that's open longer! I always crave sugar after meals, but I tend to find that bakeries and cafes I want to try have long been closed by the time I finish dinner. There was still a decent selection in the display case when my mom and I got there after 8 PM on a Saturday. All of the desserts looked beautiful and decorated with care. The employee patiently waited for us to take our pick and then brought the desserts and cutlery once we found a table. We tried the Matcha Raspberry and Raspberry Tart. The Matcha Raspberry had a mellow matcha flavor that meshed well with the tartness of the raspberry. The cake part was slightly dry, which was a bit surprising considering how moist it looked on the outside. The jelly on the Raspberry Tart gave it an interesting texture, but I found it a tad bit too sour in proportion to the other layers of the tart. Both of the desserts satisfied my sweet tooth without being nauseatingly sweet. I'll be back again to try their other desserts.

Came here after a show nearby pretty late at night. I got a matcha tea with a chocolate mouse and hazelnut. It was cute to look at. I appreciate the soft mouse with a nice crunch in the middle with the hazelnut aroma. Tea was okay. Cup was more like a pot size. Service was friendly. There were plenty of seating available for an evening indulgence. It was lovely

While strolling through Downtown Burlingame, Maison Alyzée caught my eye because of how chic it looked! Initially, I was going to skip it but my Dad convinced us to go in. So glad he did as the three of us gawked over the beautifully displayed pastries and cakes (and we left with some too)! When stepping foot in, I felt like I was back in France. The bakery sells Parisian-inspired goods in a refined, clean, European cafe environment. The shop is practically all white and elegant. It's much bigger than I thought with plenty of tables for pairs and groups plus bar seating. You can either dine or take out. For a Friday night, it was quite busy but service was friendly while we waited in line. Initially, we didn't think we'd get anything but my Dad convinced and treated us. I got a Matcha Raspberry and my friend Li Y. had her treat too! The matcha flavor was prevalent, the cake had lots of cream, and the raspberry jam had a good consistency. I ate the cake a day later and shared it with two others because I found it too creamy and sweet. Since the cake was a day old, it was dry and lacked moisture, but that's on me. Considering how expensive it was, I'd expect higher quality. For those seeking French pastries, Maison Alyzée is a cute boutique to stop in. This is one of their two locations (the other is in Mountain View). It's an aesthetic option for a sweet treat but not the best in my opinion. Located off Burlingame Ave. there are plenty of other noteworthy spots. Parking is limited to street and meter.

If you want amazing dessert, I highly recommend this place. It's beautifully crafted and each one is so delicious. I love that they open up the second location in Burlingame. It's nice to have a good afternoon tea. The one thing is that there is no pricing on the cakes and it's pretty pricey. It costs around $11 before taxes for one small cake but the amount of work and taste do make up for it. The service has always been good and the area is spacious and welcoming to have a nice afternoon tea to hang out with your friends.

Got an order to go, I had asked for a hazelnut pastry and even pointed to it, unfortunately when I opened my bag there was no hazelnut pasty but a hazelnut croissant, I didn't feel like going back and standing in line again so ate it. However, when I got to the last sip of my latte I got a plastic string in my mouth!!! that was it! contacted the owner who promised to bring me another latte and pastry...it's been 10 days! still waiting!!!!

The cakes here are so beautiful. Very strong flavors, but I wished there was more cake than cream. Both were $10 each. I would come back again to try other flavors. The croissants looked incredible too.

I love almost everything about this bakery except the price. The inside decor is cute, the staff is nice, the pastries are beautiful and delicious, and the coffee is good. Seating is plentiful on weekdays but weekends can get a bit busy. Water and table busing are self service. Tables can get a bit grimy if the staff can't get to it in time to wipe it down between customers. I understand the price reflects the effort that goes into making these pastries but it's still a bit of a sticker shock and not a place I can afford to frequent. My friends and I came here after brunch and spent as much per person here as we did at brunch.

Cute little shop! The macarons are delicious and chocolate cake is as well. I had it with a cup of chai latte and was definitely satisfied. Will definitely be back!

This is a very good Bakery with yummy pastries. I was here for a meeting and while the person I met got a coffee, I splurged and got a raspberry chia pudding and matcha cake which were very good. Service was a little curt hence the 3 stars.

Not sure why rating is so low for this French pastry, all their items are so pretty and the staffs are very friendly. Will wait for the next chance to try their other items. Oh, their hot chocolate is so thick and rich, should have ordered a croissant to dip in just like in France~

I love this bustling cafe. So many desserts and lattes that keep me wanting to come back! Seating (and parking) can be challenging on a tough day. With 1 restroom. However, if you're searching for a wide selection of multi-component baked goods, delicate pastries, kouign manner, and novelty flavors, this is the place! Will be coming back for more.

This cafe was super busy while I was walking past and we decided to stop for a cup of coffee. There are quite a few tables inside and outside, making it a great place to take a break while shopping or meet a friend for coffee. The presentation of my coffee was beautiful and I felt like the drinks were priced pretty fairly. My latte was good, but I did think it could have been slightly stronger. We planned on getting a pastry as well, but when we asked how much the tiramisu was, they told us 11 dollars !

The best thing about this place was the gorgeous pastries. I asked for a hazelnut latte, since the coffee board said they had that flavor available for add-ons. The girl taking my order said they couldn't use hazelnut flavor in the latte, because it would separate. (???). I got my coffee to go, they never called my name, or tried to find me. It was just sitting by the espresso machine. After waiting 10 minutes for my drink and seeing people after me get their drinks, I asked for it. Another server gave it to me and apologized, but that was 2 whammys for me. There are lots of other coffee shops on Burlingame Ave that I will go to next time.

Went in here with a couple friends to get some dessert. The inside of this place is very cute. The workers are very nice and helpful. There is so many delicious pastries to choose from. My friend and I shared the Tiramisu and Le Fraizer. They were both really delicious and I wish I bought my own to eat or bought an extra to take home. I was able to buy a flan to take home and that was just as amazing too.

This is a very cute French style bakery / coffee/ dessert place. Very cozy and warm inside. And smells amazing. Nice jazz music around. Would be really great for a casual coffee date. Outside they do have a few small tables with a very narrow overhang above. And they put the chairs side by side to save the space. Smart. It could be a very intimate setting for a romantic coffee date. So we might come back without dogs one day. For dog ppl just be aware might not be too comfortable with big dogs. For the baked goods they have all the basics and some specialties. and all very pretty. The only downside for me is, they don't have anything matcha, in case you are a matcha lover like me just keep that in mind. But this is still a perfect coffee date place for me. Will definitely come back.

Heavens! Go to an audition. Back to the review: The Croque Monsieur was meant for monsieurs like me! Avec salade! Bold! Hearty! Tasty! Parisienne! It should be called Le Coq Sportif but that's trademarked and it's with ham. And excusez moi, as I write il y a une jolie jeune femme qui parle français sur son téléphone portable. So fashionable! So gorgeous! Vraiment! She is very much enjoying her pastries comme moi! But I'll enjoy mine later. N'est pas, ladies? Would order everything again! Thanks, Fatima! Woohoo!

First timer at this gem. Last minute outing before the NYE celebration tonight so we got some delicious sweets.

When entering here, it has a very inviting kind of vibe. It's bright, clean, and so organized. The pastries look so pretty. It looks like it's just a display, and you don't want to eat it. We were greeted right away, but customer service slowly went downhill from there. They got our items together, and I paid. Not even 2 minutes later, "They were like we forgot to charge you for this." I paid again. Only to find out when we got home, we were missing our macarons. I called, and they were like we have it here at the counter." I asked for a refund since we weren't going all the way back there. The lady tells me, "I'm not sure if we can." Of course, by this time, I was annoyed. I waited patiently to make sure I got my money back. Aside from the experience, their pastries are amazing. 1. Caramelia choux - This was delicious and had something crunchy inside. I didn't care for the buttercream on top. The different layers complemented each other. 2. Matcha raspberry - If you love matcha, this was amazing, and the raspberry paired perfectly. I had tried this first and did not share. 3. Signature chocolate tart - smooth, and I loved the crunchiness from the hazlenut praline. 4. Harmony - This looked so delicate to eat but delicious l. 5. Vanilla flan - This had like a creme brulee topping. So scrumptious. Everything I tried was amazing and good to the last bite. I did not share my pastries. Everyone had their own because it was that good. Prices are a little up there but definitely worth it when it's an occasional treat.. this time around, it was my birthday.

I came to Maison Alyzee for an afternoon sweet treat and the case was filled with beautiful, authentic French pastries and desserts. We had coffee and shared a gorgeous fig tart and a raspberry pastry. The tables outside make you feel like you're in France and it's a great spot for people watching.

Tried the chocolate raspberry pastry and tiramisu mini cake--both were delicious and beautifully presented. I really appreciated how thoughtfully they displayed all their pastries, and the interior had a stylish, inviting feeling. Service was quick and helpful, especially as a first-time customer. I arrived towards the end of the day and didn't feel rushed by staff, they were very friendly.

A very chic new pastry shop in Burlingame, and the pastry lived up to the hype, very flaky if a bit heavy.

Maison Alyzee provided and absolute FOOD FAILURE for this visit! Ordered the Mandarin Sesame Croissant because on a previous visit it had been excellent pastry. BUT THIS TIME IT'S A TOTAL FAILURE! The outside was moist. The pastry crust was dense and moist. The filling tasted off and not at all like the previous visit. The entire croissant was cold and clammy. Even the white chocolate texture was not as distinct as it was on the previous visit. This order of Maison Alyzée's Mandarin Sesame Croissant had all the hallmarks of some second or third day holdover. To the point of turning sour. Definitely not up to the usual quality for a Maison Alyzée pastry. And a total loss of value of the $7.75 the product should have represented. Yes, I did dispose of the Maison Alyzée Mandarin Sesame Croissant purchased during this visit. I just could not stomach the experience of finishing half of that product experience. So I unsatisfying and questionable that threw out any consideration passing it on to even a street dweller. I threw it into the National Razor (waste bin) where it belonged. Something that should have been done by Maison Alyzée management before being sold. I would hesitate to order any Maison Alyzée filled pastry in the future. With the only option being an eat-in visit to ensure I could get the pastry replaced or refunded on the spot. I am very disappointed with this visit. It represents a betrayal of trust I had in their quality and business. Not an auspicious way to trod into the 2024 Lunar New Year. Look, I do understand running a well respected pastry business can be expensive. But reaching for profit while pushing aside product quality management is not a path to future success. For other points of the business the visit was as good as before. Excellent service. Bright, clean, neat, and pleasant atmosphere. Easy payment. And of course easy access from a nearly corner location on the avenue. With parking close by in many directions. Will I be back in the future? YES! I do retain a hope this visit was an unusual aberration for their filled croissant execution quality. I still consider Maison Alyzee's Plain Butter Croissant to BEST OF THE BEST in Burlingame. For the rest of their creations Maison Alyzée appears to continue on a path of beautiful presentation and tasty consumption. I hope their filled croissant products can do so too.

The way that they combined my two favorite croissant flavors together. I will forever vouch for how amazing this place is, from their friendly service to their flaky pastries. Such a quaint place to do some work in and enjoy the coffee and pastries. I'm so excited to try everything they have on their menu. My order: Chocolate Almond Croissant - I had no idea that they could combine my two favorite flavors together, this is a must get. Today this lovely worker made me one fresh and warm, after only waiting 15ish minutes totally worth my wait!!

Finding a true French bakery that serves entremets is rare so when I saw Maison Alyzee, I knew I needed to take a detour and check them out. They are located in a nice area of downtown and while it would be challenging to find street parking, there are a few small lots just a couple of blocks away where parking is only a dollar or two. When you walk up to the front of the business, it does have a Parisian feel. There are little cafe tables out front and some flowers as well. I had my dog with me so I just took a quick look inside, then had my husband wait in line and purchase our treats while I waited outside with our pup. The interior was bright and clean with a bathroom for patrons but the selection of food items was smaller than I anticipated. I had to try the Kougin Amann to establish a baseline, as they are one of my favorite pastries and I have sampled many from all over the world. My husband got himself a Kougoloff and we shared a Raspberry Matcha entremet. Upon my first bite into the Kougin Amann, I got that sinking feeling. It was not as fluffy or buttery or crisp as I would have hoped. It was disappointing. I put it back in the bag for later and decided to move on to the Match Raspberry while my husband started in on his Kougoloff. The entremet looked very nice and the first bit was ok but the pastry soon fell apart. It became clear that the matcha was just a very dry roll of cake and had not been well secured. It was also quite disappointing. My husband felt similarly about his Kougoloff. He likened it to a dry almond cake. While I was able to get a slight hint of citrus on my bite, he did not taste anything but a dry muffin with almond slices and we did not finish that either. While the prices did not seem to steep upon ordering, when you look back at the value of the products received for the price paid, there is very little. My husband advised he might give them another try if we were in the area but I am sorry to say I do not think I would.

We ordered a pistachio croissant, ham and cheese croissant, and a small king cake from here. The pastries were yummy but definitely not the best I have had. However, the service was really good-the person that we ordered with patiently explained what the king's cake was when we were confused and also told us that the pistachios were sourced from Italy. He also very considerately provided us with three cups of water when he brought us our food. We also ordered two lavender lattes and they had strong coffee flavor with a hint of lavender. I've found that bakeries usually don't have great coffee, so this was a pleasant surprise. The store was very clean and there were many tables inside for us to sit and enjoy our pastries. They also had many little cakes and desserts that looked delicious-I would love to try them next time!

Maison Alyzée has been on my to try list for a while so we stopped recently to get a few treats for a special occasion. We purchased a canelé, a little pecan tart, a passionfruit-vanilla entremet and a Paris-Brest. We also chose a plain croissant, and we asked for one of their double chocolate croissants but it seems the employee misheard and gave us pain au chocolat instead. The pastries were good and I wouldn't say no if someone brought me a croissant but in my opinion the desserts are the real stars of the show. The flavors are delicate and refined and the textures are lovely. Flecks of vanilla bean, little bits of diced fruit... very fresh and with close attention to detail. They are also beautiful to admire, complete with a bit of edible gold leaf. Absolutely wonderful. My only disappointment was the canelé. It was not fully caramelized on the outside, rather it was a very light brown, and the rum flavor was a bit strong for me. I have had others elsewhere that I prefer. Otherwise I would stop by again if I was in the area, or wanted something special.

this spot will probably be one of my favorite cafes in burlingame. they have such aesthetic and pretty pastries. the staff are also super nice and sweet.

Been going to the Maison Alyzee in Mountain View for a few years now so it was nice to see them expand and open up a new location open up in Burlingame. As always, they're pretty busy and it was no different this weekend. I ended up ordering a few different cakes to share, including the pavlova, 100% pistachio, and the harmony (my go to). This came out to be about $35, which is on the pricier side since they were pretty small. Everything tasted great, you can tell they're all very delicately made. I will say the cakes lean a bit on the sweeter side, but it's easy to eat and wash down with a coffee. Staff was nice and quickly cleaned up a table for us so we could sit outside on the deck and enjoy the sun. Had a good experience and will be back again to enjoy their goodies.

Lovely spot in a gorgeous part of Burlingame. Not only was my pastry delicious, but there is prime people watching from this place! I posted up by their window to do some work and really enjoyed the environment here. It is very clean on the inside, playing pleasant music, and helpful staff. Absolutely nothing to complain about! Also, the croissants are massive! And so flaky and buttery. Highly recommend the pain au chocolat.

The dessert was great and delicious. My friend and I came here one afternoon and had great dessert and drinks. I ordered more home for my family to have some and they enjoyed them too!

Amazing desserts and friendly service! The outdoor seating is a great place to enjoy your food and drinks and the weather.

We were rambling around downtown Burlingame and needed something sweet. This place looked welcoming so we stopped in. My wife asked if the desserts were made on site. We learned that this place has two retail locations (here and Mountain View) and both are supplied by a kitchen in San Carlos. Tiramisu: 4/5. I am a tough tiramisu critic but this was pretty good. I am going to assume it has a French twist as I have yet to see an Italian place surround their cake with a thin dark chocolate glaze. Just the right amount of coffee flavor.
