"Maison Café brims with sincerity, from the homemade cinnamon-doused cashew milk to the servers themselves. The spot is a full-service breakfast and lunch eatery owned by a powerhouse of a woman who’s not only a single mom, but an entrepreneur, restaurateur, and chef. And for every cup of joe sold, the dollars spent help Wild Goose Roasters accomplish its mission of supporting California food banks." - Jordan Morosco

If I had to describe my experience at this café in one word, it would be amazing! From the moment I walked in, I felt a warm and cozy atmosphere. The interior design was inviting, and the soft background music made the space even more pleasant. The coffee I ordered was exceptional! It had a perfectly balanced taste, a delightful aroma, and you could tell it was made with great skill and care. Every sip was enjoyable, delivering the true essence of a high-quality coffee. Moreover, the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. They greeted me with warm smiles and even helped me choose the best coffee for my taste. Their kindness and professionalism made my visit even better. Overall, I highly recommend this café! Whether you’re looking for a top-notch coffee or a cozy place to relax, this is the perfect spot. I’ll definitely be coming back! ☕✨

We visited this highly-rated brunch spot in Dana Point before heading to LAX. With a 4.7 rating and nearly 1,300 reviews, we had high expectations. The restaurant doesn’t take online reservations, but we later learned you can call ahead to reserve a table. The service was warm, and the menu had a unique French-inspired touch. We ordered three coffees, Duck Hash, Avocado Toast, and Warmed Olives as a starter. The Warmed Olives were delicious—warm olive oil, Marcona almonds, and olives on crispy bread made for a great bite. The Avocado Toast was fresh, creamy, and simple but satisfying. However, the Duck Hash was disappointing—lacking flavor, even with added salt. Surprisingly, a fellow diner nearby said he loved it, so tastes do vary! Service was slow, with a 30+ minute wait for food, and they forgot our utensils. Overall, it was a mixed experience—some dishes were great, others underwhelming, and service could be improved.

Really fun little breakfast spot in Dana Point. Everything was really good, karina our server, the menu and the food. It was so good that I came back again two days later. Much better than I expected!

Had an amazing and delightful brunch here while visiting the area. Such a nice atmosphere and you can really taste the freshness of the ingredients. Highly recommend the morning bun pastry, and the two tartines we had were delicious. Will absolutely be back!

Google
Great place for breakfast! Every employee seems to enjoy working here. The hostess has a contagious smile! Servers assist other servers and seem very attentive to the needs of diners. The food is fantastic and many items are sourced locally or made on site. My fourth visit today, and everything is consistent.

Love this place. Ambiance is fantastic and the service is always great. I’m never disappointed with the food, and they have great gluten free options. Honestly, not a bad thing on the menu but some highlights are Bistro Salad, Duck Hash, Smoked Salmon plate.

I love to treat myself to the delicious food at this establishment. I love sitting on the patio to get some sun and fresh air. I’ve walked away with a smile every single time I’ve come here. I want to highlight Jordan and the incredible service I received with today’s meal. She really took care of me with warmth, patience, wisdom, and opportunities to expand my palette in peace. Thank you Jordan!!

Had a great experience at Mission Cafe! The coffee was excellent—rich and flavorful. The decor was really nice, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere. Definitely a spot worth visiting!

Yelp
I've seen this restaurant so many times when we drive by it or go to Bear Coast (the coffee shop across the street). I can't believe this was my first time here- it was amazing! Came for a girl's lunch and it was perfect for that. Eating brunch here is like a beautiful adult tea party with delicious food. The ambiance is so sweet and charming- from the French-style decor to the beautiful dishes with intricate designs on them. The servers are quick and friendly. I got the ricotta toast- it had ricotta with blueberry and honey, and it was so yummy and filling. I also had a flat white with oat milk that was really good too. Love it here!

Yelp
Maison Café & Market is an absolute gem that transports you straight to France with its charming ambiance and thoughtfully curated decor. From the moment you walk in, you can feel the attention to detail--every corner is tastefully designed, and even the plates are adorably chic! The wine selection is impressive, offering a variety of great choices to perfectly complement their delicious menu. The food is exceptional, with fresh ingredients and beautifully presented dishes that never disappoint. The service is just as wonderful--friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. Whether you're sitting in their spacious indoor area or enjoying the cute outdoor seating, the atmosphere is always inviting and cozy. Maison Café & Market truly offers a delightful dining experience, and I can't recommend it enough!

Yelp
Overall cute place for brunch with the girls! Our larger party was seated quickly in a great sunny spot inside. The champignon toast was my absolute favorite - savory and delicious on crispy bread. The duck confit was also good, but the bread was not as crispy in some areas. The duck hash had sweet potatoes & poached egg that were a little more cooked than I would prefer but still tasty.

Mayu T.

Yelp
I recently went back to try their new location, and I must say, the upgrade is worth visiting! I didn't mind a short wait because the restaurant is only a couple-minute walk from a spectacular view, which you can also enjoy from their patio dining. Their service was extremely transparent and diligent about checking that the hummus is dairy free and the butter on the gravlax toast can be omitted. I continue to enjoy their gravlax--it's among my top 3 favorite lox--but the hummus ended up being the unexpected star of our brunch. The asparagus, broccolini, and carrots (you could almost mistake them for sweet potatoes!) are perfectly roasted, and while pita is often fluffy, I actually liked how the thinner, crispy pieces complemented the creamy nuttiness of the hummus alongside the sweet and lightly garlicky veggies. Overall, a lovely place for a date or feel-good brunch!

Yelp
Maison Cafe & Market - This was my first time dining at this restaurant, and it exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I booked my reservation, the experience was seamless and professional which a nice small touch, but one that set the tone for my evening. The atmosphere was fantastic, striking the perfect balance between elegance and comfort. The attention to detail in the décor created a warm, inviting space. As for the food, everything was high-quality and beautifully prepared. Every dish I ate had tones of flavor, and it was clear that care and thought went into every detail. The service was equally impressive. The staff was attentive, polite, and genuinely seemed to care about making our experience enjoyable. Overall, I couldn't have asked for a better first visit. I left feeling satisfied and eager to return. I'll definitely be back soon to enjoy this incredible experience all over again!

Yelp
Really great experience this weekend here with the family. Came as two adult couples, one 14 year old, and 2 puppies so we sat out on the back patio. Service was wonderful from the moment we arrived. Food: everything was fresh, many gluten free options (no GF pastries however)... and NO SEED OILS! Woohoo! I ordered the Duck Hash- yum! Parking: We luckily came early enough to find nearby street parking, but there's underground as well. We live local, we'll definitely be back!

Yuri J.

Yelp
The cutest and coziest brunch spot in Dana Point. Very European, vintage and antique vibes inside and the menu offers so many fun toasts, entrees and apps! I loved my toast with arugula, avocado, parmesan, fried egg and tomatoes. The mushroom toast is lovely and flavorful - packs in so much flavor! Definitely order a Dutch baby for the table - not too sweet and dough is fluffy and light.

Matt T.

Yelp
Really enjoyed Maison. Definitely one of the better spots in Dana point. Food was outstanding. Also got to meet the chef. She was very nice. Want to go back and check out brunch

Kat M.

Yelp
Experience: I went to this location with my boyfriend a couple weeks ago. It's so properly decorated with the perfect amount of details. It's not too loud and the employees were sweet. Constantly checking on us. Our server I believe was Perry. He was such an exceptional waiter I hope when we come back we get him again. He honestly made our day. People like him make us so happy to try new places. Food: We had the Duck Hash, the champignon toast and the steak and eggs. Very delicious. The Duck hash was a little harsh on my stomach because I didn't know that it was soaked in fat and then duck is already a little high in fats so if you're sensitive in that aspect I would skip on that but everything was so delicious especially the toast. Drinks: we had the latte it was okay nothing too special. P.S you have to try their chocolate chip cookie!

Arya R.

Yelp
One of my favorite brunch spots on south OC. Madison cafe has a variety of sweet and savory dishes but where they shine is their toasts! Not pictured but we also ordered a couple avocado toasts for the table, one with mushroom and one with arugula and a delicious garnish. Only tip I'd give is come early! They have a wonderful selection of pastries and baked goods (their blueberry scones ) and they sell out super quick!!

Sara F.

Yelp
Great service - great food. My favorite dish is the goat cheese appetizer. I ask for balsamic glaze one the side. Really love this place for breakfast and lunch.

Aaron V.

Yelp
Maison cafe is great. It's on the corner of a popular food location for Dana Point. It has an outdoor area and an indoor area and they usually have very good service. The dishes are very clean here and they have a good menu to go with the cute inside area. Cheers!

Cindy R.

Yelp
Since we first had dinner here. We've now become regulars. We've had branzino at various places but Maison Cafe really gets it PERFECT. Love when our servers remember us. Ambiance is still the same. This place has become one of our favorite restaurants.

Jemiah J.

Yelp
Grabbed breakfast on a Sunday morning after a hike. My friends and I didn't have any issues finding parking; we parked on the street across from the restaurant. We were also seated promptly. The architecture and design of this restaurant are lovely. It's clear that a lot of thought and creativity went into the decoration and the way the food was prepared. They have delicious toast for breakfast or brunch! My friend and I shared two of their toast items: the Tomate and the Champignon. There are plenty of options to choose from, and we both enjoyed what we ordered. I got an iced oat milk latte, sweetened with honey and a dash of cinnamon--perfectly made. My friend's husband got the Cured Salmon plate, and he was quite satisfied as well. I definitely recommend this spot, and if I lived closer to the restaurant, I'd eat here regularly. They also have a dinner menu, that I would love to try out!

Marissa K.

Yelp
We have been to Maison Cafe multiple times the past year, and it is without a doubt an Orange County gem. My friend Jason brought me here for the first time to try to duck confit and I've been hooked ever since. It's located in beautiful Dana Point. As you walk in the atmosphere is clean and relaxing with a bright French aesthetic. This is a place that you'll want to take your time and savor your food and drink as you enjoy your company - definitely not a place you should rush your experience. The service is always wonderful and everybody is so friendly and accommodating. I haven't had a sub-par meal since I've made this restaurant a part of my go-to places to eat.

Maddison H.

Yelp
I've had brunch here before but had dinner here for the first time last night and it was lovely! I always love the atmosphere inside, the cute tables & mismatched plates, and the service is always great. I've had to go dairy-free recently and there were still options for me' I got the Salmon with lentils (very flavorful and the salmon was cooked perfectly!) and my husband got the chicken pot pie. He enjoyed it, said that it was lighter than most and that the inside wasn't super creamy as most pot pies but still really tasty.

Autumn C.

Yelp
Service was friendly and helpful. Met up with some friends and we each had our own meals and shared the Dutch Baby. The Dutch Baby is so incredible!! They also have delicious lattes. This is such a cute place and the food is fresh and tasty. I got the steak and eggs. The steak is tender and flavorful, served with potatoes and chewy sourdough. One friend ordered the granola bowl with a side of potatoes, she really enjoyed it. Another friend had the Scramble.

Anne K.

Yelp
It was really beautiful inside and the patio was a nice place to eat in the sunshine. Our orange juice and lemonade we're so fresh and tasted great. The Dutch baby was so filling and the strawberries were really fresh. The side potatoes felt more like a dinner item as they were really large pieces. They would have been better cut in half with more seasoning or rosemary on them. The service was very polite.

Susan S.

Yelp
Wonderful restaurant in Dana Point Great service they bake their own breads and danishes! Service is always great! I'm a frequent diner. My blueberry ricotta toast was beyond juicy and creamy and the perfect combination! I needed a splurge this morning!

Kaori T.

Yelp
Deeeelicious. Tasty dishes and comfort tasting french cuisine. Not as dark as a typical french restaurant (ha) but bright inside. Would love to come here again if I'm in the area. I would suggest making a reservation... The food does not come with bread as a typical french restaurant does, but I'd suggest getting some on the side to go with your meal :D Service is awesome, the server is on top of the specials and what's on the menu.

Vanessa S.

Yelp
The tartine POULETTE with pistou chicken had so much flavor from the balsamic and roasted tomatoes balanced off with the argula. Was seated quickly, attentive waitress, super friendly host. Negatives: music was so loud that I couldn't have a conversation. Tartine was super crunchy and I didn't find that very appealing. Good experience overall but I wouldn't return.

Winnie C.

Yelp
Love the food and ambiance of this place. The kale salad and dutch baby (pancake) were beyond my expectations, so tasty and special. The chicken salad was also excellent, love the way they make the chicken, so flavorful indeed. The salad however is alright, a good complement to the chicken. They don't let you order just the chicken itself as a side dish, so you must order the chicken salad if you want to try it.

Allen A.

Yelp
Excellent food and service. You won't be disappointed. We had several different types of avacado toast. Choose what you're feeling. Can't go wrong.

Shadi A.

Yelp
Solid breakfast choice! I don't say this often but you will be good with almost whatever you get from their menu. Caffeine level in their coffee is a little higher than other places. Dutch baby pancakes--absolutely delicious and I have had more legit dutch pancakes in the Netherlands but can say taste wise this is really yummy. Steak and Eggs--I actually would not recommend this. The meat of the steak isn't that tender and the taste is okay. Skip this. All their meals with eggs that I have ordered are great.

Hualin H.

Yelp
Daniella, your kitchen does it right. Four years after my first visit & review, the high standard of the kitchen holds.

Sandy A.

Yelp
This is a yes for me. Cute corner cafe with a beautiful menu. There are many vegetarian options. The vanilla latte was absolutely gorgeous and delicious with oat milk. The chocolate croissant was good but of course can't compare to the French bakeries. The toasts are all so delicious, healthy, beautifully plated and perfectly proportioned. All the staff are so nice and I love the patio seating. A definite must visit. (My only wish was that they used Greek yogurt instead of regular yogurt for their parfait.)

Mike D.

Yelp
OMG. A must go to. This was a much better option to the usual Coastal Kitchen crowd and food. Food: great beet salad. Great goat cheese dip. Awesome menu selection. Ambiance: awesome; great married couples place as long as you sit in the room and NOT along the hallway. Nice French touches of art and atmosphere. Service: On point!; attentive and great team effort. I think they share tips because they all gave us utmost attention to detail.

Ricardo V.

Yelp
This is a great place to buy pastries and/or coffee. If you're feeling more hungry than just pastries, you can try out their healthy European inspired foods. The ambiance also gives off European vibes, and you can sit either indoors or outdoors. Service was good, and they gave us all the right orders.

Kim N.

Yelp
Wonderful food and ambiance. The service was good as well. I enjoyed it so much I went back the following week.

Darrell P.

Yelp
A friend of mine, KD, has been wanting me to try Maison Cafe & Market for the past several months ever since she first ate here. KD would often tell me that she was craving the food from here; more specifically the Dutch Baby. So, this day as I was finishing my shift, KD put the offer out there again to check out the Dana Point restaurant. KD & I had attempted it once before on a Monday... 'And of course, Maison Cafe & Market is closed on Mondays. HA! (This day was a Tuesday.) Restaurant front - https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=PwScmD1f93aDH1ZEuKG2Kw&userid=O6EBodP3Fgu_n67efSKnBQ We were instantly greeted upon entering the restaurant and the place was bustling. Most of the tables were occupied and the food looked delicious! It was nice brisk, late Tuesday morning. We chose to sit outside on the small rear patio area; less noise. Yelp
Came in to try for the first time and I must say, I am very impressed. Sat outside on a beautiful-cool weathered day and had top tier service. Food came out very delicious and fresh! I'd love to come back here and try more things out soon. Shoutout to the team as well, wonderful!

Andrew H.

Yelp
My friends and I were coming together after months of not seeing each other and we were looking for a cute brunch place to enjoy some quality time together! A friend recommended this venue! I will say it is definitely helpful to get reservations. And the venue is so close to the beach that we went from a beach stroll after! The food was delicious! I enjoyed the steak and eggs. It was a balanced amount of food. I didn't feel overwhelmed or have leftovers. My friend did get the cavatelli and that was my favorite!!! The ambience is bright and light! Very modern and cute! I will say there were a ton of flies. So, that was a tad bothersome. Service wise, it was great! The servers were kind and attentive! Overall, id recommend coming!!

jon k.

Yelp
Like going to Paris! Very vintage! Excellent, tasty fare with a very French wine list and superb young servers. We visit Maison every time we are in town!

Denise C.

Yelp
Came here on a beautiful Sunday hoping to try their chicken pot pie, but found out on Sundays they close early and only served breakfast and brunch menu. The Manhattan was delicious very smooth. The toast with mushrooms, wilted spinach and Gruyère cheese on it was tasty. I'm not sure what the sausage patty was made of, but it was a bit dry for me. The atmosphere is very relaxing and bright and cheery. The wait staff is very nice. Will definitely be back to try the chicken pot pie and some of their other dishes. Remember to do random acts of kindness as it will make everyone feel wonderful. Happy Yelping and please follow me for more awesome reviews

Amanda J.

Yelp
So many avocado toast choices! I tried the Champignon and Tomate. They were both delicious. The Champignon comes with crushed avocado, wild mushrooms, fried egg, and parmesan. It was a perfect combination. The Tomate comes with crushed avocado, tomato confit, and balsamic reduction. We added pickled onions to it and it was perfect! The portions were good and there was a good amount of fresh avocado. Our server was friendly and the service was fast. I want to go back and try more of their avocado toast options.

Jen C.

Yelp
Cute little place! Very busy at lunch time. Chicken salad was delicious! It was my first time here. I need to come back and try more things!

Chris M.

Yelp
Very busy place, but it's worth it, the food is tremendous! Make a reservation if you can!

Lauren C.

Yelp
Long wait if you don't have reservations, but it was worth it! (: service here was really great. I think we had waitress Hannah, but the entire staff here really looks after you. Busser's, food runners, hostesses all made sure we were taken care of! Can I just mention that the two ladies who were hostessing today crushed it?! It was so busy and they made sure to get everyone seated and happy. Lattes came out right away as we waited for the food. Food tasted good, but I definitely needed to add salt to my dish as I wasn't getting much flavor. Maybe a nice sauce or something for the frittata? Super cozy environment. Easy + free parking in the garage next door!

Lisa B.

Yelp
Absolutely love this restaurant! The interiors and ambience were so cool! It feels very metropolitan for being in a beach city! We started with champagne and charcuterie. Our server was great and suggested the side of carrots which went well with my dinner of beef bourguignon and my husband's dinner of coq au vin. We were so full we couldn't make it to dessert but one day!! Also the market seemed very interesting though we didn't make it there either..: they did have live music in that section which you could hear from the dining room and what we heard was really good! We will definitely be back! Can't wait!

Robbie-Ann O.

Yelp
What a great little find here is beautiful Dana Point . A quant little Cafe & Market that offers a little bit of cheeses and pantry items . We stopped in this last weekend and shopped for some goodies for our friends Xmas gifts to add to their presents . We found wonderful items such as mini olive oil and little half aprons as well as cheese cutters and little tins with soaps and organic honey . There is a great variety of this and that , that you would find in your own pantry - jelly - it's just a cute little shop that you must check out . Elizabeth helped us and she was very helpful. Do stop by and and take in the beauty Dana Point has to offer .

Chris A.

Yelp
I went to Maison Café and Market for date night and had a great experience. It is located in a little updated corner of Dana Point with a lot of other great restaurants. Outside the vibe is chill beach town but inside it is warm, appropriately lit, eclectic French café. We ate a later dinner so we beat the rush and I suggest trying to get reservations or planning to wait because it is quite popular if you come at a prime time. My boyfriend had the beef bourguignon and I had a bistro salad and Parmesan risotto. He was thrilled with the beef bourguignon as it had a thick and well developed sauce to it, tender meat in a good quantity, and came with fresh bread. The salad was well dressed for me, herbaceous, and the Parmesan risotto was very flavorful. The wine options were well priced and tasty as well. Service was polite and efficient. We will definitely be coming back here, maybe even braving the busy wait times of brunch.

Linda T.

Yelp
Had gone to their old location closer to Doheny before and really liked it. Had wanted to try their newer location in a new building further north on Del Prado. Went at 12:30 on a Sunday. Waited about 15 minutes. We were seated and promptly had menus, water. They bring water in carafes which they leave on your table. Smart. We ordered the gravlox toast, kale salad and the cavatelli. We shared everything between the 3 of us. Delicious. Cant wait to return to try the dinner menu.

Elsie Y.

Yelp
My friends and I came on Sunday around 1:50 PM, there was about a 25 minute wait but it's a nice area you can walk around while you wait. I was nervous that we would be rushed or wouldn't be able to eat since they close at 3 but the service was great everyone was super nice. The food didn't take too long to arrive. I got the champignon and the toast was delicious. It was definitely loaded and the bread did get a little soggy towards the middle as I was eating. They use a 3 day fermented whole wheat bread and it's absolutely amazing. I definitely recommend a toast or any dish with bread.

Sandi G.

Yelp
I love taking friends here for breakfast because the food quality is excellent and service is above and beyond. It's nice going to a restaurant where everything good is consistent. Don't have to worry about a bad experience while out with friends. Thank You.

Jen S.

Yelp
Ambiance is wonderful. Service was great. My avocado toast was beautiful but way too salty to eat. I had a few bites of the rest but just couldn't eat it. I was surprised when the waitress took it that she didn't ask why I didn't eat it? Or if all was ok? I asked in a time crunch so I didn't say anything because I wasn't out for a free lunch and was happy to support a bustling restaurant with great service. Not a huge deal, it happens. That said, I'm chalking it up to a one off. Everyone looked happy, place was packed and reviews are great which is why I came. I did get a salted chocolate chip cookie when I left and it was the best cookie I have ever had! Would go back and order something different if I'm in town again.

Shae S.

Yelp
It was our first time here. We came here for coffee and tea. We were handed menus and were pleasantly surprised they offered food. We were still deciding on if we wanted to eat when the waitress kept coming up repeatedly and asking what we wanted to order. We had to keep telling her we needed time which was annoying. We decided to order food. The food did look amazing but all the vegetables and potatoes were hard and didn't seem cooked enough. When I ordered my dish it came with tomato's. I went to bite into one and it splattered all over my clothes and got onto my skin. It was scalding hot and burned me. When I told the waiter they didn't even ask if I was ok. He did bring me a cold clothe but it was disappointing. Meanwhile I hear the waitress go up to a table behind us asking if they were ok and bringing them complimentary food. It was a bummer all together. I will say the steak was good as well as the presentation. They ended up taking care of my meal which was nice.

Brian L.

Yelp
What a great spot. Made reservations and didn't have to wait very long. Staff was super kind and food was incredible. The number of avocado and other toast available was pretty cool. Highly recommend checking this place out. Loved the big open windows.

Heather R.

Yelp
Cute restaurant! Everything I tried was really good! The service was very very slow but honestly they were very nice and helpful and everything was tasty, from wine to apps to the salmon beet salad (only get this if you LOVE beets because it is like a year supply of beets). Can't wait to come back and try their brunch!
