Intimate Mexican Hotels For A Warm Vacation

Tranquil and relaxing environment surrounded by lush vegetation. Love the antique furnishings and the vintage touch in every corner, feel like you travel back in time. Lovely service, Alex took great care of us, and everyone was very nice and friendly. We spent the whole day by the pools (there are two, one deep and the other shallow) and had a wonderful time. Make sure you got mosquito repellent spray as we were there on a sunny day after the rain and there were a lot of mosquitoes. Luckily they got some bug spray in the store.

The place is lovely and the food is really good. The only problem is that if you go when the guests are eating you will be served last. The kitchen is really small and only one person can cook at a time, so our dinner took more than 1 hour and a half to arrive. Best recommendation is to call first and ask for Agustin, the restaurant manager. Edit: we went back to the restaurant and everything was perfect. Our food arrived on time and was really delicious. We made a reservation and we're the only ones there so we didn't wait at all.

What an enchanting getaway set amongst banana and citrus groves. The service, food, pools, and room were beyond expectations. We have stayed at multiple Hábita properties and this property is the best by a long shot. The property is very intimate and the perfect place to spend a couple of days lazing by the 2 pools and swinging in the hammock on your balcony. ||||The only negative to watch out for are the events that can quickly quash any sense of intimacy. On a recent Saturday, we had an amazing day until the afternoon when a group of families (all non-guests) had their event on the property. While the event is away from the main facilities, the noise and groups of wandering event guests overwhelmed the property until the evening. The staff mentioned that (outside of the pandemic) August-December is event season with Thurs-Sun often booked with events. ||||Finally, this is a great place for families. If you're looking for a kid-free or minimal kid experience, you might be out of luck. On our recent stay, there were several families with kids of all ages and the accompanying noises/disruptions.

A beautifully designed hotel situated in the middle of orange, lime and banana groves. The grounds of the hotel are beautiful. The food is tasty, the wait staff is attentive and friendly. The only drawback is that the WiFi service does not work very well. I would definitely visit again!

I stayed with my husband for a night at Maison Couturier. The hotel has extraordinary vegetation and is a quiet place to relax. The food is good, except for the shrimp cocktail. The service awesome.||There are small details that would make this hotel excellent. The room had shutters that required McGuiverish skills to make them close properly and there were some wasp nests at the porch.||

Food was acceptable, no complicated meal took almost 2 hours to get ready, prices high for such not elaborated food. Many dishes were not available due to New Year's Eve. One waiter for 6 tables. We were a party of 9 and dishes were coming as they were prepared, even beef tacos took more than an hour to be served

At first sight it’s beautiful. After the initial enchantment you realize the many things that are wrong. Starting with the room. The mattress is old, the shears were dirty, there was a spot of what looked like blood on them. The mosquito door net was ripped which made it imposible to sleep. But what was the worse, I was eaten by bedbugs. Yes, we paid $600 dollars for 3 night for BEDBUGS! The furniture was old and filthy, not boho chic, just old. The restaurant had the most terribly bland food options. We ordered eggs for breakfast and they were drenched in oil. The pool is beautiful but they have no protection for the mosquitos. I will never return and will never advise anyone to visit. It’s a shame because it has lots of potential.

The hotel is located in what used to be a plantation owned by a french family. The hotel has kept a lot of the original buildings and decorated them in a lovely style that complements the architecture. the food is simple, local and delicious, and the gardens are absolutely luscious.
