Founded by some french immigrants in 1890 , this plantation now turned into a boutique hotel and restaurant European sensibilities mixed with local produce , this place deserves a visit if you are in the area The food, locally sourced , has a french flair , worthy of your hunger Of course there are caveats , the bathrooms inside the rooms don't have doors , some people hate the fact that you are using the wc in a romantic setting and your partner will have to listen and smell the product of the great food served here Nitpicking of course , as in Europe this is normal , maybe not here , anyhow , the gardens are amazing , the pool areas outstanding and the atmosphere , calm and quiet Don't forget your bug repellent tho, as the skeets are hungry and ready to eat you up , we had a cloud of skeetoes following us everywhere , but with repent the problem is solved

Beautiful property, gorgeous pool, but without attention to detail. I did not like the "bathroom area" of the rooms. I get the design idea of open bathrooms (although I don't like it). But it should absolutely NOT apply to the actual WC. Please try to have a romantic weekend when your partner can hear and smell everything that's happening. Seems just cheap, probably to save money in construction. Any architect/ landlord who authorises this should be robbed of their title immediately. For me, that is a reason not to return. Otherwise, the design creates an interesting vibe, despite some unfinished touches. Reception staff appeared to be untrained and was not helpful in planning activities. The person did seem to know nothing of the area. I saw the spa building but was never offered any information on services provided therein. The restaurant was okay. It could be an exceptional boutique hotel, but at our stay, it was just beautiful grounds to stay a few nights.

The place is lovely and the food is really good. The only problem is that if you go when the guests are eating you will be served last. The kitchen is really small and only one person can cook at a time, so our dinner took more than 1 hour and a half to arrive. Best recommendation is to call first and ask for Agustin, the restaurant manager. Edit: we went back to the restaurant and everything was perfect. Our food arrived on time and was really delicious. We made a reservation and we're the only ones there so we didn't wait at all.

Tranquil and relaxing environment surrounded by lush vegetation. Love the antique furnishings and the vintage touch in every corner, feel like you travel back in time. Lovely service, Alex took great care of us, and everyone was very nice and friendly. We spent the whole day by the pools (there are two, one deep and the other shallow) and had a wonderful time. Make sure you got mosquito repellent spray as we were there on a sunny day after the rain and there were a lot of mosquitoes. Luckily they got some bug spray in the store.

Amazing hotel my current favorite in Mexico. Great location in a jungle like setting with beautiful flora and fauna - smells, sounds and sights all fantastic.|Pools are beautiful and bikes for exploring are great. I found breakfast delicious. And with sister property Cabo Alto 15 minutes away it’s the perfect combination of beach and jungle.|I should have stayed longer!!!

What an enchanting getaway set amongst banana and citrus groves. The service, food, pools, and room were beyond expectations. We have stayed at multiple Hábita properties and this property is the best by a long shot. The property is very intimate and the perfect place to spend a couple of days lazing by the 2 pools and swinging in the hammock on your balcony. ||||The only negative to watch out for are the events that can quickly quash any sense of intimacy. On a recent Saturday, we had an amazing day until the afternoon when a group of families (all non-guests) had their event on the property. While the event is away from the main facilities, the noise and groups of wandering event guests overwhelmed the property until the evening. The staff mentioned that (outside of the pandemic) August-December is event season with Thurs-Sun often booked with events. ||||Finally, this is a great place for families. If you're looking for a kid-free or minimal kid experience, you might be out of luck. On our recent stay, there were several families with kids of all ages and the accompanying noises/disruptions.

We had great expectations visiting a farm hotel boutique but we were very disappointed.||||The staff were good and did more than expected but that's it, during the 3 days we stayed at Maison Couturier only the service was good. ||||Not a good place to have a long sleep, forget about relaxing, the local "tractor" was working early in the morning all 3 days, even at the weekend! 6 AM. ||||They have big problems with water, it was browny, like rusted. The bathroom is “unique in design” but it is terrible not to have a door, all aromas go to the entire room making it uncomfortable to say the less. The shampoo and the conditioner are contained in glass which is kind of risky to have them in the shower when you have a child. The doors that cover the terrace entrance and the windows from the inside are bad designed too, they are not squared anymore making them difficult to move, you cannot open them easily and you cannot close them entirely, sun entered early in several openings. The AC was fantastic. There were a lot of mosquitoes that on the third day we learned how they came inside the room, we arrived when housekeeping was working with the door fully open! We had to use repellant to have a good sleep on the last night. ||||If you like dogs it is your dream hotel, there are 3 dogs from the hotel and on the weekend arrived 5 more dogs from clients! just too many for me and my family. The grass was bombarded with several dog poops and no one cared about it. ||||Restaurant was fine, good and quick service. Food was good but the tomato soup was superb. There were several dishes that were not available during the 3 days. No onion soup at a french restaurant!||||BTW, wifi was almost non existent very slow and difficult to work with.||||Great gardens and beautiful pool.

A beautifully designed hotel situated in the middle of orange, lime and banana groves. The grounds of the hotel are beautiful. The food is tasty, the wait staff is attentive and friendly. The only drawback is that the WiFi service does not work very well. I would definitely visit again!
