"The incomparable Caribbean Curry House has served rotis, and stew plates in Côte-des-Neiges since 1980, and is regarded as one of the top spots to grab the classics." - JP Karwacki, Eater Staff
Watch: Caribbean Curry House Serves Roti and Doubles in Montreal | Eater Montreal
"Visiting one of the city's oldest Caribbean staples in Côte-des-Neiges—Caribbean Curry House (La Maison du Cari), in business since 1980—I tried a range of go-to dishes: rotis filled with beef, chicken, goat, or shrimp curry, and Trinidadian doubles (fried flatbreads stuffed with chana); a friendly reminder is that doubles aren't meant to be eaten like a burger or sandwich. I found the curries bright, given a hint of earthiness from ground peas in the roti dishes, and built on a heady mix of coriander, cumin, allspice and some spicy heat that keeps people coming back to this Victoria Avenue classic." - Tim Forster
Watch: Roti, Doubles, and Curry at a Montreal Caribbean Favorite | Eater
"Serving Caribbean fare in Montreal's Côte-des-Neiges, this neighborhood spot is beloved by locals for its wonderfully spiced, authentically prepared goat and chicken roti, oxtail, and other island specialties. The signature roti features a beautifully pliant flatbread filled with curry, spices, and tender pieces of meat, reflecting close attention to island traditions. Lines form quickly at lunchtime—locals and even surprised taxi drivers note its popularity—and the friendly, festive atmosphere helps explain why it’s a neighborhood favorite." - Eater Video
28 Classic Restaurants Every Montrealer Must Try - Eater Montreal
"After reforms to Canada’s immigration policy in the 1960s, Montreal welcomed multitudes of newcomers from the likes of Guyana, Jamaica, and Trinidad. Pockets of the city soon became conversant in the heady, habit-forming cuisine of the West Indies. Caribbean Curry House's stuffed rotis deserve much of the credit. Open since 1980." - Ian Harrison, Joanna Fox, Tim Forster
Wow, best Roti in Montreal, hands down. Small and discreet, no frills, but boy oh boy, the food (and service) is outstanding. Worth the trip if you like/love Rotis!

I had so many memories from this restaurant since I was young. The patties and the roties…🤩🤩Even when they changed the owner few years ago, the flavor and quality were still there.
But now!? A huge disappointment since the rechanged the owner recently. No flavors at all. The roti is barely stuffed compared to before. And the patties? That smooth flaky crust and the kick of spice in the meat are not there anymore. Just look at the pictures yourself from years ago vs now.
Never going back sadly, I’d rather not ruin the good memories I have.

This place seems to pick and choose when they give fresh food or when to give food that's been in the fridge for the past 3 days. Ordered pick up and everything was fine the patties and jerk was really good. I ordered a week later with Uber and everything absolutely everything was gross. Like it was from A completely different restaurant. Jerk chicken was hard a rock and barely chew the meat. And the patties were dry, burnt and not even edible. I guess it's a gamble eating from this place. I don't recommend this place, given the response I got when I decided to let them know.

As a born Caribbean native. We expect a taste that say that we are Caribbean but ordering a jerk plate and I wasn’t satisfied or impressed. Rice is cold chicken is hot salad look like it was from two days ago. For the price I pay I know I would get a better plate other place.
So I asked to confirm my suspicions. And yes the chicken was yesterday old and the was “kinda”done this morning 🤷🏿♂️🤦🏿. Still a good place. I suggest if you ask if the food is freshly cooked the day of ordering.

I was absolutely appalled by this “pumpkin soup”. Never in my Jamaican life have I experienced something like this. Clear efforts made but a lot needs to happen for this establishment. Truly disappointed.

when there few times than I moved away. Went back 2 times few years later. The food was dry and not tasty. The second time I went there I found 2 live black ants in my plate. I showed them and I said '' I will never come back here'' I did not ask for a refund. The thing that I hate so much is their ultra high counter, do they have something to hide like cleanliness !So I tried Specee across the street. you can see it s a very clean place and the food is perfect so far.
