Maison Grinder - Hôtel boutique Montréal

We had such a beautiful stay here. The design of this hotel is truly exceptional — easily one of the nicest rooms I’ve ever stayed in. Every detail felt intentional, elevated, and thoughtfully curated. It’s clear a lot of care went into creating the aesthetic and overall experience. The staff were absolutely lovely. Warm, friendly, helpful, and always smiling. Every interaction felt genuine, and they were quick to assist whenever we needed anything. The location was also great — very walkable and easy to explore the area on foot. There were a few things that could be improved. Our first night (Saturday), the restaurant transforms into a nightclub, and the bass was audible and could be felt in the room until after midnight. The hotel does provide earplugs, but they weren’t enough to block the low-frequency noise. You’ll also hear some street noise, so light sleepers may want to plan accordingly. The in-room heat pump (which we were advised to use as a fan) was difficult to navigate — even though we have the same model at home. It beeped and flashed an error during the night, which woke us up. I had requested a fan and kettle ahead of time; we were told to use the heat pump instead and that kettles weren’t available. There is a Nespresso machine in the room, but the pod holder was empty on our first day. For tea drinkers like me, having an in-room kettle would have made mornings much more convenient, although staff were always happy to provide hot water when asked. Continental breakfast is delivered to your room daily (banana bread and yogurt with granola). As someone who eats gluten-free, I appreciated being able to enjoy the yogurt and berries. A few small functional notes: there were no bath towels in our room on the first day, and storage space is minimal — essentially a coat rack and one shelf — so we lived out of our suitcase. The entryway layout feels a bit tight, and hooks might work better than the standing rack. Also, there is no elevator, and reception is on the second floor, so be prepared to carry luggage upstairs. Overall, though, the beauty of the space and the kindness of the staff truly stood out. With a few functional adjustments, this place would be nearly perfect.

I travel frequently for both work and leisure and it’s been a while since I’ve experienced such outstanding customer service, from check-in to breakfast being delivered to the room. The room itself was sexy, yet refined and elevated. The design and lighting are beautiful, and the minibar is well curated - good products. I loved every minute of my stay and would highly recommend it. Thank you to the team at La Maison for such a beautiful stay.

The best service I have ever had at a hotel. The true definition of luxury is service. I have been fortunate enough in my life to stay at some of the best hotels around the world, all with incredible staff. I have to say, Maison Grinder out did every single one of them. Without getting into detail, I will say the staff here truly went extremely far out of their way for me during our stay. They gave myself and my fiancée unreasonably good service, they went far above and beyond their job’s duties to help when we had some small issues (issues that were no fault of the hotel). I would like to point management’s attention to Leandra on staff, who deserves a bonus for her exceptional care and diligence. Truly an MVP! Not to mention the beauty and opulence of the rooms which felt significantly more like a lavish spa then a hotel. We will be back. This is our new home away from home in Montreal. I cannot say enough good things about this hotel and the folks who work in it. They have earned a customer for life and my endorsement. If you are thinking of staying here, DO IT!

Amazing stay! The room was beautiful, the bed and pillows were incredibly comfortable, and the staff went above and beyond. Leandre was so sweet and made our experience unforgettable. Highly recommend and will definitely be back!

At my first day, there was a logistic complication that led to a 50 minute wait to retrieve my car from the valet service. Justin (valet worker) was very apologetic and extremely kind to explain the problems that occurred, and ensured our car was provided on time with great service for the following days! The complication was not Justin’s fault at all, as he was just the middle man retrieving the car. He helped with luggage, provided great conversation throughout the rest of my stay, and made a memorable mark as a warm hearted man. The hotel was also kind enough to reimburse that day and provide free valet parking for an additional two days.

Had a fantastic stay! The rooms are beautiful and brand new, with incredibly comfortable beds and bedding. The hotel’s design is stunning, and the restaurant downstairs—run by the same group—is amazing. They even helped accommodate me when I made a mistake on my booking dates, which I really appreciated. I loved the in-room speaker for playing music, and Suite 14 had a great balcony with gorgeous city views. Overall, a wonderful experience from start to finish.

Had an absolutely amazing trip. The service was exceptional. The hotel is small but it gives you everything you need and absolutely exceeded my expectations. If you come to Montreal, you have to stay here! Comfortable, clean, and exceptional service.

Had an absolutely wonderful stay, visiting Montréal! Staff was friendly and efficient. Room was cute and very chic! And also clean and the bed was comfy. Loved the little extra things, like the candle, wireless charger block, and speakers. I’m now also sold on rain showers and will be looking to install one at home ASAP. And will be back!
