"Maison Herbin Menton is France’s lemon-growing capital, a fact that the whole town celebrates: The tiles in Menton’s Fontana Rossa gardens are painted with lemons, and local restaurants feature them in lick-your-spoon-clean soufflés. Every winter, the road into town closes for a lemon festival that features huge sculptures made of citrus fruits. It seems fitting, then, that a local shop,Maison Herbin, is dedicated to selling artisanal lemon jam, which is made in small batches to coax the fullest flavor from each fruit. The jam shop has become so famous that tours of the kitchen operations now require advance reservations. The shop offers much more than its citrus jams: Also on sale are strawberries preserved with pineapple, and tomatoes packed with eggplant and ginger, in addition to traditional candies, fruit jellies, local honey, condiments, andpickledonions."

This store has terrific products. Unfortunately, they are unprofessional and possibly dishonest when it comes to their e-commerce business. I recently placed an order for more than 100 euros worth of in-stock honey. After more than three weeks, the order had not yet been shipped. I tried repeatedly to contact Maison Herbin to tell them that I would like to cancel the order, because I would no longer be at the shipping address at the end of the month. They never responded. I then contacted my credit card company to challenge the charge. As soon as they heard from my credit card company, they mailed the package, which I will never receive. Note that I ordered from the real site and not the scam site that other reviewers complain about.

Don't resist, just go inside the shop - the lady is extremely nice, helpful - explains everything you would like to know. Products are local, jams are also prepared there, on site.

The confiturerie offers free visits of the kitchen three times a week at 10.30am. The staff are very kind and knowledgeable and were able to answer any questions we had. We even witnessed the delivery of freshly picked oranges, lemons and kumquats which was great as normally you don't realise how many varieties there are. The tour ends with a tasting session of their many jams, including the gold winning raspberry, green lemon and bitter orange confiture. Then you can go to one of the two shops to buy whatever jam you fancy, and they also have a small selection of biscuits, teas and other things. Very enjoyable experience, although I did spend a small fortune on jam.

This review is for the awful customer service, not the actual products and facility. I had gone to this store twice in a day as I had repurchased other products , so one would assume the sales person would be even nicer and happier to see a returning customer, however that wasn’t the case for me, the sales women was extremely rude and unwelcoming. It was my first time visiting Menton and this store specifically, she didn’t even bother to greet me or even ask if I needed help, I saw others come in who I suspect were locals and she immediately greeted them and attended to their needs . I was scolded by her because I took a jam jar from the wrong queue and rather than guide me or politely tell me to take a different jar, she persisted to yell infront of others. This women was either having a bad day or prejudice towards foreigners and by the way, I speak French fluently, so there were no Language barriers. The customer service should match the integrity of the products. Extremely disappointed with my experience with this shop, despite it being extremely quaint.

It's just a nice. You can find all the jam you want. The lady was really nice and gave us the possibility to try what we wanted to buy. I strongly suggest the jam with lemon and lavander. Also the smell inside the shop is good. You can pay with credit card as well. I suggest this place to everyone

I cannot fault the products; lovely selection of artisanal confitures, honeys, limoncello. However, I experienced the worst customer service by the vendor. This was at the larger shop attached to their fabrication site and not in the little shop located on the pedestrian walkway.

So worth going! And do try ànd buy their jams and other products! All the familiar tastes are available and furthermore you'll be surprised by their specials, like mimosa, rose and many more. Mouthwatering delicious jams etc.
