"Louvard’s claim to fame is the crookie, the viral croissant-cookie hybrid that’s been replicated by every corner bakery from Paris to Phoenix. But Louvard’s is the GOAT regardless, thanks to their exquisite butter croissants, which are skinnier than many of their competitors and give you the perfect crispy bite from beginning to end. They’re stuffed with cookie dough and just barely rebaked, and the result is a gut bomb that's impossible to finish without being within stumbling distance from a sofa—not that that should stop you from trying. But locals return here again and again for their other viennoiseries, like the apple chausson sprinkled with raw cane sugar and filled with applesauce, or the fruity chocolate éclair—probably Paris’ best. It’s tempting to enjoy your treats at a table in the adjoining dining room. But be warned: There’s a hefty markup to soak up these classic Parisian café vibes. " - sara lieberman, emily monaco

This place is known for inventing the famous Crookie (a croissant + cookie hybrid). After trying versions of it in the USA, I can confidently say none compare to this one. The American versions were a letdown, but this was a delightful surprise. The croissant was perfectly buttery and crispy, while the cookie had a chewy/gooey texture, and a rich chocolate flavor. While the Crookie was delicious, the price is a bit steep, and I hope they can adjust that. The plain croissant was decent, though I wish it had been served warm and fresh out of the oven. Overall, a delicious treat, though a little pricing adjustment would make it even better.

Stopped here for a quick lunch - solo. Cute spot - very busy bakery next door (theirs) but I wanted a sit-down meal. Limited menu - I had the smoked salmon platter and it was very very good. Very tasty served with a bit of a green salad and bread. A perfect pit stop for me

I came to see the original crookie and opted instead for the butter croissant and Paris-brest. Both were amazing. The croissant had a perfectly flakey crust and soft buttery inside. I'm planning on making a return trip every time I'm in Paris. There is seating offered at the adjoining bar, which is paid for through a slightly higher menu price

I would say some items are amazing and some are just okay. They have a really beautiful aesthetic seating area inside, but everything costs an extra 1€ if you sit down (instead of taking out) We just went to the boulangerie aka bakery section and took stuff to go, and sat on the chairs and tables outside. Tomato & Feta Quiche - LOVED this! Big chunks of feta in here, and the feta and tomato combination was amazing! Totally recommend this. Courgette & Blue Quiche - I had high hopes for this one, but it was just okay. Not something I'd order again. Bacon Croissant - Very unique croissant here! It has some creamy thing on the inside (probably cheese) and went very well with the bacon. Crookie (cookie croissant) - very flaky for sure, but a bit overhyped. The cookie part was too sweet, and if the ratio of croissant to cookie was a little better such that there was more of the croissant, this would be a bigger hit!

If you’re here for the cookie croissant, I hate to disappoint you but it’s not worth it. It doesn’t taste fresh even though they tell you it is. It is wayyy too sweet and that’s coming from someone who loves dessert. We ordered coffee and they brought them to us in a cocktail glass. Despite the mid quality, this place is too overpriced. For 2 cappuccinos and 2 croissants we paid 25 euros. Definitely not worth the hype.

TL;DR: Maison Louvard offers an exceptional patisserie experience with a spacious, well-designed interior and a selection of innovative, high-quality pastries. The citron tart is a standout, and the attentive service enhances the overall experience. Quick Ratings: Food: 4.8/5 - Innovative and delicious pastries with complex flavors Atmosphere: 4.5/5 - Spacious, well-decorated, with a connection to the street Service: 4.5/5 - Friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable Overall: 4.7/5 - A must-visit for pastry enthusiasts Full Review: A Sweet Adventure at Maison Louvard This patisserie surprises and delights with its spacious interior, divided into a main area showcasing their tempting array of sweet treats and an extensive seating area. The well-decorated space is further enhanced by doors that open to the street, creating a seamless indoor-outdoor experience. This thoughtful design allows patrons to enjoy their treats while soaking in the ambiance of both the interior and the surrounding area. The staff contribute significantly to the positive experience. Their friendliness, attentiveness, and willingness to explain the intricacies of their pastries demonstrate a commitment to customer satisfaction. The quick service ensures that patrons can dive into their chosen treats without unnecessary delay. The journey began with the crookie, a decadent fusion of croissant and cookie. This treat was a symphony of sweetness, flakiness, and rich chocolate flavors. The use of dark chocolate provided a pleasant bitterness to balance the overall sweetness, though the richness might be a bit heavy for some. The strawberry taco was a delightful contrast to the crookie's richness. This innovative creation offered a medley of textures - a crisp biscuit shell, fresh macerated strawberries, and a luscious custard cream binding it all together. The lightness and freshness of this pastry provided a welcome palate cleanser. However, the true star of the show was undoubtedly the citron tart. This masterpiece of patisserie showcased the skill and creativity of the pastry chefs. The impossibly soft and airy meringue, given a slight crunch by sugar grains, sat atop a soft yet buttery biscuit base. The citron creme, hiding a passion fruit surprise within, was a revelation of complex flavors. The interplay between the tart lemon and the sweet, tropical tang of passion fruit created a harmonious blend that elevated the entire dessert. The iced tea served as an excellent accompaniment, helping to reset the palate between bites of the sweet treats and preventing flavor fatigue. This establishment stands out not just for its exceptional pastries, but for the thought put into every aspect of the dining experience. From the spacious and inviting interior to the knowledgeable staff and, of course, the innovative and expertly crafted pastries, it offers a complete package. For those with a sweet tooth or an appreciation for fine patisserie, this is a must-visit destination. The citron tart alone is worth the trip, but don't miss out on exploring their other creative offerings. Just be prepared for a potential sugar overload - though with pastries this good, it's a risk worth taking.

I give 4 stars just because the service was really nice for us! The crookie is good but honestly, the amount of chocolate inside of it is annoying and makes the flavour of the cookie disapear

We loved everything about this place! Food and service was amazing! We ordered duck, salmon and burger + desserts. Everything was delicious!
