The 20 Best Bakeries In Paris - Paris - The Infatuation

"Louvard’s claim to fame is the crookie, the viral croissant-cookie hybrid that’s been replicated by every corner bakery from Paris to Phoenix. But Louvard’s is the GOAT regardless, thanks to their exquisite butter croissants, which are skinnier than many of their competitors and give you the perfect crispy bite from beginning to end. They’re stuffed with cookie dough and just barely rebaked, and the result is a gut bomb that's impossible to finish without being within stumbling distance from a sofa—not that that should stop you from trying. But locals return here again and again for their other viennoiseries, like the apple chausson sprinkled with raw cane sugar and filled with applesauce, or the fruity chocolate éclair—probably Paris’ best. It’s tempting to enjoy your treats at a table in the adjoining dining room. But be warned: There’s a hefty markup to soak up these classic Parisian café vibes." - sara lieberman, emily monaco

The Crookie is worth the hype. Wish i got more of it. It is cheaper when u order pastries for take away. We had lunch there and the food also was amazing. The escargot was full of flavor and cooked just right. I got the pork chop with their homemade mashed potatoes which were nice and creamy. My friend got the roasted duck with gratin and she said it was full of flavor. Definitely worth a try. I would go back.

First time trying the crookie at Maison Louvard and it was amazing! The perfect blend of a croissant and cookie—warm, gooey, and absolutely delicious. The service was quick and genuinely pleasant, making the whole experience even better. Definitely give it a try!

Best cookie dough croissant in the city! I’ve tried a couple of them but this is the best. I’ve tried macchiato as well but it’s decent. Good ambience, could be a decent date place.

Google
only stopped by because I had heard how important this place is when it comes to their famous cookie croissants. This bakery is truly iconic and very well known for its incredible breads, croissants, cookies, and more. You can take your order to go, or sit down inside (which costs a few extra euros, something I found slightly ridiculous, but understandable since the place is always full). The service is very fast, and when I ordered my cookie croissant, the lady who served me was very kind. I even asked her to heat it up, which was not necessary because they had just been made and were still warm. The croissant was absolutely delicious, with many flavors at once, rich but not overwhelming at all. It makes for a perfect snack and is definitely a must-stop while in Paris. The hype is completely worth it.

The bakery takeaway items and greeter was great. However, the greeter at the seating area door was very rude. We had a party of 5 and she said no. We asked if we could spilt the party, she said no. We asked for takeaway, she said no. We went outside and saw a door to enter for takeaway so some of us got takeaway despite wanting to leave because she was so rude. We took the metro to get there so some of us sucked it up. Fortunately, the greeter and cashier at takeaway were really polite. If didn't have the experience with the seating greeter I would have given them 5 stars in every area.

Wanted to try my very first Crookie where it was invented and it did not disappoint, was very tasty. Would have been amazing if fresh from the oven but still very good. Tried a few others from other bakeries and this was by far the best. Had as a takeaway. Reason for 4 stars, which I normally would not say is worth losing a star over, was the cold and uninterested staff member who did not say one word from when we came in and said hello. This made us feel unwelcome and not want to see if there was anything else we would have liked to buy. When we asked to pay in cash they tapped at the note machine below and walked away (there were no other customers). Compared to other places we visited in Paris this was very much the polar opposite of our experiences with staff. As such, I felt that this needed to be raised so hopefully it will not happen to other customers.

Almost skipped it because I wasn’t sure if i would like it but I’m so happy I didn’t. I’m not exaggerating when I say the Crookie is the best thing I have EVER tasted. So gooey and baked perfectly. For as hyped as it is the price is perfectly reasonable. Not too sweet and the cookie outside was crispy while the inside was soft, like cookie dough. SO good. I’ll be missing this forever!

We tried the overhyped croissant with cookie dough filling and it was really good. Although there was a long line for takeaway pastries, we were able to find a table easily and were served quickly. The coffee was good, and the café’s location is perfect for taking a break between sightseeing.
