"Dimitri Marit represents the second generation of his family at the helm of the elegant Maison Marit, housed in a property brimming with character. The interior has been revamped with clean lines. The restaurant has its own sheep and deer, which can be seen grazing from the terrace. Foodies have been coming here since 1991 to savour classic French cuisine. Expertise and finesse are the hallmarks of this establishment, and nowhere is this more evident than in the rich, full-bodied sauces. When preparing his risotto, the chef removes some of the liquid and mixes it with a hearty poultry stock and truffle. The result is creamy and intensely flavoursome, the ideal complement to freshly caught scallops. The focus on presentation and freshness. Perfection since multiple generations. Very generous and tasty cooking. Their langoustine with almonds lemon and Parmesan sauce is really original and good. Great wine pairing proposed by the sommelier. Service is efficient and professional but also friendly. They serve classical French cooking but with a very nice own twist and deserve the Michelin star. Very peaceful place with view on the garden, you are near the highway and the city but you find here yourself in middle of the nature. Very good dessert from the mastery chef and declined in multiple and generous miniardises. They even propose with the bill a home made chocolate praline or truffel. Dégustation menu is good choice to taste multiple dishes from the carte and it often changes.

Excellent mid week lunch! Full menu only available from table of 7 or more so we enjoyed selecting three courses from the menu. Nice Belgian touches like the sublime "américain frites" which was served as an amuse-bouche. We had langoustine and lamb followed by a selection of local cheese. No need for desert as sweets were served with coffee including a parting gift in the form of a homemade praline.

Excellent restaurant. We go here once a year and it never disappoints. Great pairing of wines with food. Tip: more vegetarian choices would be great. Ask when you reserve and they can make it vegetarian or pescotarian for no additional charge.

The service was good, friendly and fast, except few minor details. We came with a dog and a baby and the staff was very helpful and attentive. The food was good, but I was a little disappointed compared with other Michelin restaurants in the area.

I was there on the 31st of August for a wedding. The service was terrible, waiters had no authority when describing the food . One of the waiter even spilled some food on the groom's back . This is unforgivable at Michelin star standards. Only reason why this should even have one star is the dessert as it was excellent, contrasting to the rest of the food.

What a beautiful place to eat. Dimitri and Jacques where the best hosts.Very professional and a delight to be around. The food was exquisite. If your passing through or staying local, this place is a must!!! We were there for the Waterloo celebrations.Remember us, le Jardin??
