"Champagne Bar? Count Me In. Rustic elegance is the order of the day at La Champagnerie, a champagne-only bar in Old Montreal . Between the delicious cocktails, heaven-sent food, and exposed brick walls of this historic building, the drinking experience will be memorable. The menu features over 50 different brands of bubbly (including real champagne, cava, and prosecco) and a very entertaining sabering act, as well as brie poutine and oysters. Contrary to popular belief, la Champagnerie isn't that expensive. Yes, there is the odd $500+ bottle, but visitors can easily enjoy a meal and a cocktail or two without needing to remortgage their house. A very nice way to spend an evening, if you ask me—champagne, Old Montreal, and good music. Santé!"

Located right in old port in a really nice street, went on a Thursday to try their all you can eat of steak and fries. Very satisfied with the service and quality of the food, first order comes as a full portion of steak and fries and every refill after that is half portion, they’re not picky on the fries so they allow a couple left on the plate. Steaks were great and cooked to perfection and the fries were also really enjoyable, would definitely suggest to try it out and will come back again to have another go!

My friend and I went on one of their Thursday special “steak et frites à volonté “. Cooked to perfection, exactly how you want it. Served hot with thick fries and a side salad. Very welcoming & friendly staff. We were greeted and seated by Wael, who recommend us a great bottle of red wine to pair with our steak. Daniello & Nathaniel kept coming to check on us whenever we needed a refill. I would highly recommend this place. It also has a wide variety of other food options on their menu and signature drinks, but don’t hesitate to ask for other suggestions that might not be on their menu , as it’s ever changing to keep it interesting and new! The ambiance was perfect, dim light, music not too high so we were able to have a proper conversation. Thank you for the service & warmth , we will definitely be back.

We just went to this restaurant tonight for the first dinner in Montreal. The food was so amazing. The service was very great. The atmosphere was very great too. When you come to Montreal you have to try this restaurant. The waitress asked my mum to open a bottle of champagne using a knife.

I had an excellent dining experience at Maison St-Paul. We got exceptional service from waiters Danielo and Emma. They were both attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable, making sure our needs were met without being intrusive. Their professionalism and warmth added a personal touch to the meal, and I will definitely be returning because of their great service. Highly recommend!

Excellent food and the portion is okay for the Thursday promotion. The steak is not to big and not to small when you want to eat more . They cooktail and wine are good

We were really excited to enjoy an all-you-can-eat steak with my girlfriend, but this turned out to be a complete disaster from start to finish. When we arrived, we waited over 20 minutes without anyone coming to take our order. I tried multiple times to communicate with different waiters, but they completely ignored me, which is absolutely unacceptable. After another 30 minutes of waiting, our steaks finally arrived… and what a disappointment! No matter the doneness, the meat was simply inedible—impossible to chew. Honestly, I could have cooked a better steak at home. After finishing the first portion, we waited almost 20 minutes before a waiter finally came to ask if we wanted a second serving. Unfortunately, the second steak was just as tough and inedible as the first. But the worst part of this experience wasn’t just the food or the endless waiting time. What shocked me the most was the blatant difference in service between customers. I was the only Asian customer in the restaurant, and every time I tried to speak with a waiter, I was completely ignored. I personally witnessed how warmly and attentively the staff served other customers, and the contrast in how my girlfriend and I were treated was striking. This is unacceptable. No one should ever be treated this way in a restaurant. Food: 0/10 – tough, flavorless meat Service: 0/10 – dismissive attitude, complete disregard for certain customers Price: $100 for a meal that was utterly disappointing This meal ruined our Valentine’s Day, and I will never set foot in this place again. A disgraceful experience!

We went there for the all you can eat steak frites. It was absolutely delicious. The fries are really salty, but they are really fresh. The steak is just out of this world. I would definitely be back here soon.

This was my first experience at the Maison Saint Paul and I won't be going back. The food was good but the service left a lot to be desired. The meat and seafood platter was really good but really overpriced, especially for the quantity! The waiter clearly didn't know his menu for pointing out that the platter for 2-4 people was clearly not for 4... Also, I ate my lobster claw with my fingers... really nice... if the restaurant is to serve lobster claws in their platter, the least the waiter can do is bring the necessary utensils... the customer shouldn't have to ask for something that is so obvious. Towards the end of the evening, the waiters came to remove our water glasses and one of our tables before even bringing us the bills... a meaningless action and a great lack of respect towards the customers!!! The quality of service doesn't live up to the reputation of the restaurants in the old port.
