Majaró Hotel Tulum

I can't say enough great things about our stay! Majaro was excellent in making our planning as easy as possible for our large group trip. From the start, they recommended excursions, restaurants, and beach clubs. We ended up booking a cenote tour and Majaro handled all the details, it was perfect. They also coordinated the full group's airport transfer, even though we only requested it the day we had to leave. The rooms are spacious and offer a good mix of private and public spaces for our group to spend time. We loved the private pools, especially the ones on the roof! Everything was very clean and you could tell they paid close attention to detail. The location is also conveniently located between Tulum town and the hotel zone, so we were able to explore both locations. We didn't have any issues with getting taxis to and from the hotel. Their staff is incredible - we lost a wallet in the pool drain on day one and they were there within half an hour to help us get it out! They are all super responsive and helpful and really went above and beyond to make our stay incredible.

1. I had to buy my own sugar 2. No hot water for a week 3. I did not get room service (my choice? 4. Not what we expected for breakfast. (More suitable for 5 year olds) 5. Everything in the screenshot that I circled is not true. 6. No coffee shop 7. No Deli 8. No swim up bar 9. No happy hour was witnessed 10. No restaurant 11. No poolside bar. There is a bar top, but no drinks or anything else at the bar. 12. Did not see any common areas and no tea or coffee except a couple coffee pods left on a tray in the morning. No tea was seen. 13. The free breakfast is something adequate for a child no grown adults. You get a sippy cup of juice, a small yogurt, banana, and a dry crossaint. The property is located off a very rough terrain dirt road. There is a little cafe and grocery store directly across the street. I didn't see much for parking other than street parking, which could be limited. The rooms aren't bad however and the AC works great.

This is a nice and quiet hotel. It’s is very relaxed and flexible. I think we were the only guests this weekend. It was hard to locate at first because there are a lot of hotels in the one area. The setup and rooms were nice. The beds were comfortable. There aren’t many accommodations. Any issues we had, the staff were more than willing to assist. They offer breakfast from 8-11am and are cooked on demand. We felt safe though there was not staff there at all times. It’s not the cleanest and do not expect housekeeping to make your bed or replenish toiletries/towels. It is in a great location, about 10-15mins from everything, but the roads to the hotel are terrible (similar to a lot of the roads in Tulum). For the price, it wasn’t bad. It also has a rooftop pool and some hammocks. There is also a cute coffee shop and convenience store across the street. I’d love to see how this area looks in the coming years. It has a lot of potential!

Incredible set up, my room had a private pool and was extremely comfortable. They left us delicious treats for our Cenote tour which was a nice touch, there was a cafe and store across the road which can fulfill all day to day needs. Highly recommend the short walk to Fitalicious which was 10/10. Staff were very helpful when we somehow managed to lose a Titliest Ap1 8 iron and our young friend's travelling document, locating both.

This was one of the most disappointing stays during our 2 week trip to Mexico! Details below: Horrible location - if you don’t rent a 4x4 car there is no chance you can get there as there roads are not paved and the holes are massive! Also, the rooms were not properly clean - we found some hair left in the shower area and used coffee cup on the terrace. We had a kitchen in our apartment and the cutlery and plates were stored on the floor under the sink - do they really think guests can use that once they see it? Also they say breakfast is included - what a joke! You can only have filter coffee and some fruits. Also, during our 5 night stay, we didn’t see anyone around to talk to, only people who were cleaning the areas around the pool.

Very nice, quiet hotel surrounded by nature. The room was spacious and well decorated. Access is a bit difficult as the roads are not concreted and taxis are expensive to reach this place, but we rented bikes and were able to get around easily to the various places of interest (ruins, beach or downtown). There are a few restaurants and grocery stores within walking distance of the hotel. Veronica was top notch during our stay and responded efficiently to our needs.

The rooms were beautiful and clean, but the private pool was disappointing. I booked the room for the private pool, but the pool lights weren’t working, and it seemed dirty. The staff tried to clean it after I let them know, but it was still dirty and the lights were still not fixed and didn't feel like using the pool. On the bright side, we booked a discounted cenote tour through the hotel, which was a great experience.

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. It was intimate, quiet and featured a private pool in the room. Veronica (staff) was so kind, responsive, and prompt with any issues that I had during my stay. I would absolutely visit again. Keep in mind that the hotel is in a place that has a lot of active construction, and is in the middle of a jungle. They are currently building up the area. With that being said, if you are looking to stay here and explore, please look into renting an ATV, scooter, etc. since taxis are expensive, and is not pedestrian friendly.
