Francesinha!!! Order it. I honestly would leave the review at just that because of how delicious it was. Truthfully I was on the fence as to whether to order it or not because it looked very heavy to be my breakfast (we arrived brunch time). There was a line out the door of about 15-20ish people, but worth the wait and the line does move fairly quickly from our experience. It is no surprise once your seated inside, because we were able to see with the rapid quickness that servers zoom around and bus and wait on people. However, we never once felt rushed. Also, they ask what language you speak before seating you and put you in a section based on that. Absolutely brillant, in my humble opinion. We again were hemming and hawing at what to order and then saw the fracesinha brought out to the table next to us, and well we couldn’t resist. My cousin and I split it, and it really was the right call for us, because we wanted to save room for their pastel de nata, which also did not disappoint. The gravy or sauce on the francesinha was delectable, we kept dunking our fries in it. The pastel de nata was light and toasted. There is no wonder this is a spot that is high in demand. Not only is the food and service spot on, but the history and decor of the building and restaurant also make it a must visit in Porto.
