Major Tomato is a go-to spot for amazing artisan pizza. They have the best gluten-free options I’ve tried, and the ranch flight is a must! Always a solid experience with a great selection to choose from.

I first tried this pizza a few weeks ago after hearing about it and it’s great pizza. The sauce is savory, but also a bit sweet. The crust has a more multigrain taste to it, but it’s not overly crunchy. It’s not doughy at all, but it does have some softness to it. It’s a nice balance. The pizza is a thinner pizza a good test for good pizza is if you pick up a slice and turn it upside down if the cheese and toppings don’t fall off that’s good and it does not hear overall well balanced ingredients and taste. I’ll eat a slice or two before I even get back to work It taste so good and it’s handheld friendly pizza The sauce is thicker and I always prefer that for pizza. They don’t over stuff it with cheese they put more toppings than other places I’ve seen on the pizza. The pepperoni is excellent. The cheese bread is really good. I recommend putting cheddar on it. I think it really enhances it. The service and the atmosphere are top-notch. The people they have working upfront are friendly and polite. I like to look back at the kitchen staff to see how it’s going and you can tell. It’s all well oiled machine back there. They know what they’re doing. It’s a small place. There’s a few seats, but there are seats available. I think this might be the best pizza in the area

Don’t advertise and show pictures of large NY style slices and then cut an 18 inch pizza into 875 tiny slices. Not cool. First and last time I’ll be ordering.

Loved this! Here from Kansas City for a conference and hit this up for dinner one night. We got a “major loaded baked potato”, a “vampire slayer”, and a pepperoni pizza. High quality ingredients, really fresh tastes, unique flavors…staff was helpful in recommendations and service. It’s definitely worth going to - don’t be afraid of the odd names and flavors. CAVEAT: they only have pizza, salads and breadsticks. I mistakenly thought they had more Italian options; they do not.

Great flat bread pizza!! The "Major Tomato" with chicken is my favorite! Ive tried several of the others.... all very Tasty!! They will also do half and half if you want one pizza, but want to try 2 different ones. Their Mediterranean Salad is also very good! The place is Very clean and has a nice Atmosphere... One of my favorite pizza places!

I found out about thus restaurant on tik tok. And omg it doesn't disappoint. The restaurant is nice and clean staff are nice and polite. We got the large backyard BBQ chicken pizza and the Just Another Supreme pizza. We also got the Major cheese bread and the major cheese bread with pepperoni. Let's just say the food doest disappoint. It was worth the wait and we will be returning!!

One of the best pizza places in Allen Park. My wife and friends rave about this place. If you notice the pizza is half and half. I am just a pepperoni kind of guy. The other half is called the loaded potato pizza. And let's just say it tastes just like a loaded potato. I wasn't expecting to taste something new today. Boy was ever surprised so you know what ? This is PINCHE DELICIOUS! You know when Chief calls its like this it's worth it. Everything here is perfect the staff makes you feel at home. They ran out of bottle water and without hesitation they offered a refund. Nice pictures on the wall clean setting and great vibes. So this is the kind of place that makes you comeback and try something else. Short and sweet simple life's to short right ? Trying just to get back in the swing of things here. I came here because my friend recommended this place for their Major loaded baked potato pizza. She said it tasted just like a loaded baked potato. I came here and it was amazing. Then I discovered it was healthy also. The fact that you can have pizza and feel good about it. It's local and Allen Park. It's small. The staff was not very friendly, but that's OK. A definite return.

Major Tomato is an Allen Park staple for great pizzas. They have a very healthy takeout/delivery business so be prepared to wait! I recently placed a weekend evening order and it took 40 minutes before it was ready. They do have a small dining room with a couple of tables, so you can probably get your pizza a bit faster if you eat in. This most recent weekend, I got: Little Mac, Large ($23) - The pizzas from Major Tomato always come with a thin crust, resulting in a great crisp in every bite and the Little Mac is no different. The outer crust is exemplary, topped by sesame seeds that lend a great nuttiness. The toppings here are perfect and include: Ground seasoned beef that tastes just like a nice burger patty. Lots of veggies - shredded lettuce, chopped tomato and pickles, and cubed potatoes. This pizza is certainly a lot healthier than a lot of other options! I love the potato in particular - it gives a nice fluffy element to the pizza. It's all brought together by some cheddar cheese (some parts of the crust are just cheese + bread) and a very nice classic burger sauce, a ketchup, mayo, mustard mixture that just screams fast food burger. The only weakness is that this pizza doesn't reheat well, given all the fresh veggies on top. But this has an easy solution - you just need to make sure to eat the entire pizza before it goes cold! I've gotten the Little Mac every time I've gone to Major Tomato. I should probably branch out next time, but the Little Mac is just too good to not get. Major Tomato has some of the best non-Detroit style pizza in the area. Definitely check them out if you're around Allen Park.

Outstanding food and service, as always, will never stop enjoying their excellent fare... yet the drafty cold dining area keeps us from coming more often, at least in the cold months. Yes, we know about delivery.

I order from here about once a week to every other week and literally everything is so good. It never disappoints and i've gotten a few friends hooked on coming here. Their pizza, sides, and salad are all good. Service is quick and the inside is clean and nice enough to come and dine in.

A bunch of hipsters run this place. You are lucky if they are open. I have called there during the pandemic and they were never open. I walked in at 8pm during the street fair and they told me they were closed. That I should buy some of the old pizza sitting in the display. The pizza itself is good it is unique for the downriver area. It's also very expensive for what it is. Like I said they are never open.

Major Tomato was very busy when I was in there. The staff was very pleasant and place was tidy and fun. It is a small place, but warm and inviting. I sampled the margarita pizza, and was very pleased with it. The crust was excellent. The sauce was flavorful, the basil was fresh, and generally speaking it was exactly what I was looking for. You really can't go wrong coming here for a pizza.

Wow! Excellent pizza place with a variety of pizza flavors and combinations! This is the place you come for gourmet pizza. Highly recommend! I tried a variety of the different pizza combinations at a pizza party! All were wonderful !

Major Tomato is a staple of Allen Park! My husband and I have been coming here for years and it never disappoints. I highly recommend the Sir Rancha, and the Major Cheesebread if you like feta bread. The Ranch Flight is a great addition to any pizza.

So, we got a gift card from a friend and this definitely gave us an excuse to check this joint out. I think maybe a few years back, i had a message from one of the owners or managers to come on and give them a try. It's been long time coming, but the time has come. Colonel Honey Mustard: Im not a big fan of chicken on pizza,, But i get it. This one almost eats like a sandwich. I respect it,, honey mustard is my favorite sauce for chicken. So this pretty much automatically wins. Vampire Slayer: Slow down there partner. With this kind of name, i would've expected to be punched in the mouth by garlic. Didn't really quite live up to it's name. Wasn't my favorite. The pies were thin crust which is what i prefer, being from the Tri-State area. Craft soda is a pretty nice touch, but it sorta taste whatever. The staff was really nice and sorta whatever. What i meant by this was, because i'm from the east coast. I prefer to pour a bit of garlic powder on my pizza as opposed to dunking it in ranch like a Michigander. So when i asked the people serving the pies if i could have some garlic powder. The younger guy was like, "there's already garlic powder in the pizza." The other girl with him was like, let me get some for you from the kitchen. And when it came it was just a smidge. I dont know why its such an ordeal just for garlic powder. But it's fine. Thanks for the experience. We are in Michigan, not Jersey right? Would've been a decent 4, but a 3 is all i can muster. After my last review, the owner, Paul, reached out to make the situation right. I was unable to return until today and get a chance to give them another try, and I was not disappointed. The customer service was so much better and the pizzas were dynamite. We're truly blessed with some fantastic pizza spots in this area, and Major Tomato's is one of the most creative. Many thanks to Paul for caring about his customers, and just as many if not more to the terrific staff that made our delicious pizzas. Definitely gonna eat here again in the future when we treat ourselves to pizza again.

I like this place. Interior is super clean and kitchen is visible from the counter. Staff was polite. Pizza was overall excellent. No complaints with the pies. They have vegan cheese as well. Everything is affordably priced. I've only been here once but looking forward to picking it up again soon. A little bummed they're not open on Mondays but everyone needs a day off. :)

This place combines some of my two favorite things: Pizza... and TRIVIA! I screamed a little when I saw the trivia cards on each table. Such a cute idea to make the wait a little easier. I've had my fair share of different pizza places that offer vegan cheese and Major Tomato is now on my top three. The pizza is thin, airy, and crunchy. It is far from tasteless despite lacking thickness. They offer build your own pizzas in different sizes. I got a standard 10 inch BYO pizza. Each topping is $1 extra, which is also pretty standard. My partner grabbed the veggie calzone. He said it was one of the best non-homemade calzones he's ever had. This was impressive, considering he's obsessed with making calzones at home... I mean on an every other day basis. So that's a huge compliment to Major Tomato! I do think it was a bit steep in prices, but worth while. It's definitely a nice little place in "Downtown" Allen Park. The interior has a nice open seating with lots of fresh plants everywhere. There's also cool vintage posters hung up. Overall this place is cute and worth the visit. Go to Major Tomato and experience the delicious pizza with the perfect texture. Also the service was excellent and very friendly. The staff was all very welcoming.

I got Major Tomato for first time 5/21 and got the "Gluten Free Major Tomato" and OMG was so Damn Good. Came back 5/23 got the "Gluten Free Edgy Veggie" with their homemade Garlic Ranch and OMG again so Damn Good, came back 5/28 got another "Gluten Free Edgy Veggie" then back again 5/29 got "Gluten Free Major Tomato" & "Gluten Free Edgy Veggie" with their homemade Garlic Ranch & Spicy Ranch. So in a nutshell it's my new Favorite Pizza Spot & it's Local; ALWAYS SUPPORT LOCAL!!

This was my first order, a carry out for my pick up which went well. Pizza looked good and true to other reviews I saw the crust was thin and somewhat crispy. It did however have a distinct taste of being burnt or overdone. I found the pizza sauce to taste just like tomato sauce, bland and lacking the spicey taste expected. The pizza couid have also used more cheese and overall was disappointing. Would not use again.

Chz bread (8/10) - flavor, crisp, melted chz Aloha (8/10) - spicy. BBQ drizzle rather than base Major Tomato (8/10) - flavorful, garlic helps the marinara Marinara is so so, needs more flavor Decor is great and simple. Fountain drinks are tasty. Very welcoming. Kind staff. Clean bathrooms. Reasonable prices.

I think I'd give this place a 4.5 because this pizza isn't my absolute favorite (I'm not a huge fan of thin pizza + Sportsmans in wyandotte is my absolute fave), but I'll bump it up to a 5 because their commitment to non-gmo ingredients and avoiding certain additives as well as saying no to minimum wage. How awesome is that?! Seriously! We need to give them a round of applause. That's legit and hard to pull off! Plus this place is so cute! Although I'm not a huge fan of thin pizza, this pizza was pretty good (I tried vampire slayer). I can't wait to try more flavors. I can't believe they also have a natural soda machine. Their commitment to non-gmo and natural is real. There's a pizza place in Ann Arbor literally called Silvio's *Organic* Pizza but they have a regular pop machine?! o_O I asked them about it and they were like..."well what can you do? People want this. *shrug*"So kudos to you Major Tomato for actually sticking to what you preach. Overall, I am so happy that there's a place like this downriver!

Incredible local, fresh thin crust pizza. The food is always perfectly consistent, and we have never had a bad experience here - always greeted and served by friendly staff. The inside is clean with good music if you're dining in, and if ordering out give yourself a bit extra time to order early due to it being longer waits when busy! But SO worth any amount of wait.

My family is always looking for a great pizza place nearby, but usually we're disappointed. Not so with Major Tomato! Finally, we found a place that comes a very close second to Supino's - our highest pizza standard. Major Tomato delivers an excellent thin crust pizza that perfectly balances crust with sauce, cheese (not too much, just right - my ultimate pizza criteria), and loads of toppings (pepperoni slice for every bite!). Besides splitting a pizza, we also shared a calzone, which also was nicely balanced in flavor and tasted quite fresh. Based on the seasonings on the calzone, I think I'm going to have to try their breadsticks next time. I also tried their local fountain soda brand, Puck's, which was quite good, at least the black cherry and mandarin orange flavors were. It's a cute place - there are trivia cards at each table to help pass the time while your pizza is cooking. The whole family was thrilled to discover Major Tomato and we look forward to many future visits.

One of the best pizza places in Downriver Michigan. Consistantly good, and always filling. The staff is also very polite, and the interior of the restaurant is always clean. My family has been going for a few years, and we can't get enough.

Tried Major Tomato for the first time tonight, had the Major Potato and it was exactly everything I wanted and was craving! The dough was fantastic had a nice chew and the crust had an amazing crunch! New favorite pizza place for sure!

Downriver is filled with many chain establishments that have lots of processed options. What a pleasant surprise to find a Pizza place that uses real cheese, sauce that's not full of MSG, and many other fresh ingredients. Their crust is hands down the best in the area being both crispy and chewy. I can't say enough great things about this adorable Pizza spot.

I love fast personal pizza restaurants, so when my work team said we were going here for a going-away lunch, I was excited. The pizza was great. The crust was the best I've had (better than Mod, Genova, Brera, etc). It was crunchy (but not burnt), the toppings were good, and they let me make a "half-and-half" pizza at no extra charge when I couldn't decide. My supreme was great, and the Hawaiian was even better. I loved the BBQ drizzle on top of a pizza that still had tomato sauce on it. Yes, I'm one of those weirdos who loves pineapple on pizza (if done right). Toppings were plentiful. Perhaps they could have pre-cooked the green pepper a bit as it was still on the too-cruchy-raw side for my taste, but that might be a personal preference. Service was fun and helpful. The soda machine was putting out flat soda. All of the jets. Five of the eight people in my party paid for fountain soda (at $2.45 each), and we all said ours was flat. The manager (I assume) came out and tried it and said it was fine. We poured some and showed her that within 5 seconds, there were no bubbles. She disagreed. Either that boutique soda brand is atrociously bad, or there was something wrong with the machine. She let us pick a bottled soda to replace it, so they "made it right", but it was sad it took that much debate. It's not the end of the world to have a soda machine glitch, but it is problematic to have an employee telling a group of customers that they're all independently wrong. The pizzas also took a long time. I understand that pizza isn't fast, but this business model is supposed to overcome that. We ordered around the same time and our pizzas came out between 25-35 minutes after we ordered. We had plenty of time to play with the cool trivia cards at our table. My pizza at Mod or Genova comes out in ~10 minutes. Maybe we overwhelmed the place with a big order, but it made for an hour-and-a-half work lunch, which would have been too long if we hadn't cleared out our calendars. Major Tomato has a lot of promise and I hope to return and have a perfect experience.

Ground Control to Major Tom...ato. I was introduced to this place by a good friend who told me how much she loved their pizza, so I knew I had to give it a try! Walking in, I was digging the cute décor and open space and it was super clean. The menu is posted on the wall and has quirky pie names like "Killer Tofu" and "The Meatsiah." We started the meal off with a Pizza salad. YES. PIZZA. SALAD. All your favorite pizza toppings with pizza flavored croutons. Pizza is in my 5 major food groups. So throw it on some green stuff and we're talking healthy here! And can I rave about the ranch dressing? I had to have extra to take home. Thank me later. I decided to order a large "I love Pep Pep" which was loaded with cheese and pepperoni and The "Just Another Supreme" which was topped with pepperoni, Italian sausage, green peppers, onion, mushroom and cheese. First let me say the crust is amazing. It's light and airy but baked with a perfect crunch on the edges. The slices are huge, like New York style pizza, but not overly greasy. I could have eaten the whole pizza by myself. If you're one of those people like me who like to dip your pizza in ranch (yes I really said that) then queue in the extra dressing from the pizza salad! The staff is warm and friendly. I enjoyed that there were trivia cards on the table as we waited for our pizza to arrive. We enjoyed chatting with the owners and have returned here a few times for carry out. I love that it's locally owned, fresh ingredients, great pizza and great prices. Online ordering is awesome, and Yelp is also offering cash back in you're enrolled in the program.

Hands down my favorite pizza place in Michigan! My go to pizza is the four cheese, which is topped with shredded mozzarella, fresh mozzarella, feta and smoked gouda. You can't go wrong with any pizza on the menu.

The pizza is phenomenal. Thin crust with creatively delicious toppings. I got 2 pizzas each halved: Major tomato - very basic and yummy Little Mack - burger on a pizza. Delicious sesame crust Killer tofu - spicy and hands down my favorite Major potato - broccoli cheddar soup on a pizza :D This spot is my new favorite pizza place. Staff is friendly and adorable. Interior is trendy and comfortable to hangout in and play little games as you wait for the best pizza ever.

SHOCKINGLY AWEFUL! I tried this place on a recommendation. They told me the pizza would be ready in 35 minutes for pickup. It was actually 65 minutes. I asked for extra cheese and even tipped. The pizza was thin, no cheese, burnt, and gross. I love, love pizza. I have eleven tossed pizza in the trash. But after a few bites with my friends we threw it away. They turned off their phones an hour before they closed because they don't want to work so I couldn't complain. STAY AWAY!!!!!

Major Tomato has some really inventive pizzas, a relaxed dining area and friendly employees. I'm a major (get it!) fan of their I Love Pep Pep pizza! If you're a pepperoni lover, this is a must-try. My husband digs their veggie pizza with its fresh ingredients. They have a nice, thin-crust pizza that even passes the cold pizza test the next day. We haven't tried anything else on the menu, but they also offer hot dogs and burgz. Prices are decent for the quality ingredients. Wait times aren't bad at all. The music can be a little hipster/weird for me, but that's a small gripe. I also wish they had fountain pop; they only have fancy bottled varieties. Want to switch up your pizza routine? You should stop into Major Tomato sometime.
