I visited Majorelle in Budapest expecting an authentic Moroccan dining experience, but unfortunately the food did not represent Moroccan cuisine. The dishes lacked the typical Moroccan flavors and spices, and overall the taste did not reflect traditional Moroccan food.
On a positive note, the service was excellent. Our waiter, Yassine, was very nice, friendly, and kind. He checked on us regularly between courses and made sure we were comfortable, which we truly appreciated.
The ambiance was okay, however, I would advise adding traditional Moroccan music, such as Andalusian music, to further enhance the atmosphere. I also sincerely hope the restaurant considers hiring 100% Moroccan chefs in the future, as this could greatly improve the authenticity and true representation of Moroccan cuisine.
This review comes from a Moroccan perspective, and overall, while the service and setting were pleasant, the food did not meet expectations for an authentic Moroccan experience.
