Favorite college neighborhood bar. Their natural wine selection is always on point as well as their beer selection. Food is delicious. I love that they always have seasonal menu items depending on what’s in season. Pool is free, AC kicks butt, and they have a great outdoor space if you ever did have a larger group. Dogs are also allowed which is nice if we ever wanna bring our pup.

Majorette can do no wrong. Beer and wine? An incredibly amazing selection (including a variety of great NA beer!!). Pool. Patio. A/C. Sports. But the food? The food is to die for. This fish sandwich is the best fish sandwich I have ever had; in fact, it's the best food item I have ever gotten at a bar in my life. I would sell my soul to eat nothing but this fish sandwich for the rest of my life. The day this leaves the menu, I will cry. Fries are always fresh, smashburger is also perfection, and you can't go wrong with the wedge. Other rotating menu items have always been delicious. Hands down one of the best, if not THE best, businesses in the area!!

Cute spot; great beer and happy hour. Unfortunately the bartender was extremely rude and dismissive towards my friend and I. We walked in excited to try it and watch the game, and she was extremely unenthusiastic and gave us the feeling that we weren’t welcome. I understand a bad day, but she greeted every other customer with much higher respect and enthusiasm.

The food is always good. The bartenders are friendly. Wednesdays have Sunset Trivia that is also fun.

GREAT COLLEGE BAR. They are very well priced. I drank a pickle beer it was amazing. Had a fried boneless chicken thigh sammy that was amazing with some good sauces. Bill was very reasonable staff is great. Dog friendly outdoors and a pool table. Def need to check out for wednesday trivia night!

Majorette is such a great local spot. With delicious food, a great natural wine selection, tons of beer options, & free pool, you truly can’t go wrong. The staff is friendly & helpful. Although it’s a dive bar, it has a homey feel. Highly recommend visiting, and definitely trying a smash burger!

I dig the vibe here. Nice Long Bar, comfy chairs, big tvs, great service and the beer offerings are on point. My wife was also happy with the wine selections. The real Duece Bigelow here is the food, they have some kind of a magic man hiding behind two double doors in the kitchen whippin out delicious burgers and damn near whatever his heart desires. the menu is small but it'll cash your checks all day, everyday! Go get in your car and drive to this place. NOW! Wager up to the bar and if you don't find yourself lacking, pick a nice comfy chair, a good beer and eat amazing food.

Location is a bit odd and only street parking but I would definitely come back! Came during happy hour and got a beer for $5. They have a decent variety to choose from. I got a hazy IPA and they had two kinds. Lots of space inside that wasn't too busy when I came around 4. A smallish back patio that was nice. They have TVs all around so I'm sure you could watch games here. Patio was dog friendly which is a plus!

Great service. Dope venue. Very spacious! Wish there were more pool tables but I think it helps keep rowdiness/problems down with two so, bitter sweet lol. But yeah nice spot to come grab happy hour. Great beer wine and cider menu, and good serving size bites! We got the grilled cheese and big burger both with bacon and sweet potato and regular fries as our sides. Then there was an 8% ABV Cider on tap and that had me feeling a nice buzz! Super strong for a cider. I got big burger but will likely try the smash burgers when I go back. The sesame seed bun was too soft/soggy to hold the thick burger patty together so that was annoying. All in all, the place has a good deals and is close to home though, so. I'll be back :)

No better way to describe this spot than a "clean dive bar". I know. That sounds like an oxymoron but it's accurate, I promise. Majorette gives you all the best things about dive bars: relaxed atmosphere, casual, friendly, all without all the grimey, gross, tables/floor/bathrooms. On top of that, their food is delicious! Their smash burgers are crispy and seasoned to perfection. Their fries are perfectly crisp. Even their wedge salad was fresh and well dressed. A wedge salad?? Your local dive bar could never! I've never been excited about dive bar, but I'm excited about Majorette. I'll be back soon!

All the things you love about a dive bar but cleaner. The only thing missing may be cheap food but you get what you pay for and their food is quality. The smash burger was perfectly crisp and the flavors were spot on. The fries were McDonalds-esque, crispy salty and great complement to the burger. The beers are reasonably priced and they have lots of options, alcoholic and non alcoholic. It's a great neighborhood style bar with delicious food. I hope to become a regular with the welcoming and fun bartenders!

First time in here for a trivia night and we were pleasantly surprised about the food we ordered. For a bar, I thought the meatball sandwich we had was delish! We ordered sweet potato fries along with it and they were equally tasty! I would come here again to enjoy a trivia night. There are many competitive teams that night which made it that much more challenging!

Described by Jake as a "classy" dive bar with multiple TVs to enjoy sports games. Classy because the food is better than traditional dive bars. Came here on a Tuesday night to enjoy their great Tuesday special which includes A smash burger and a pint of any beer for only $10. A neat tip that my friend put me on is that for an additional $2, you can add an extra patty and $3 for fries. You order at the register, they give you your number and the food is brought to your table. The smash burger was good, not greasy like they usually are and would definitely be back. Close to SDSU campus, so expect a lot of college students. Two billiard tables inside and an outdoor patio. Parking is street, went on a Tuesday night and had no issues, but I could see it being a problem on other nights.

Place is great so don't mind the review. The problem is I got sur charge for my drinks and bartender did it with intentions. ( proof receipt and charges) but they did reverse it when confronted. What happened to integrity and honesty? Just make sure you guys check your receipts before leaving ! Still 5 stars for me. I won't let one bad apple ruin how delicious their burgers are

This is my favorite bar and grille in San Diego. They have amazing food (check for availability), solid beer on tap, tv's galore and free pool tables. It's also locally owned and operated by the same folks who brought us Scrimshaw Coffee. Do the smash burger and fries! With a Societe Pupil!

Came here with a friend on Thursday evening, someone had recommended he stop by Majorette to try their burgers. We both had never been here so decided to give it a try. Their instagram gives dingy dive bar vibes and I think there's a lot of opportunity for them to attract more customers with their social media, but it seems like the place has only recently been re-opened by new management so maybe they're working on it. The actual experience inside was great, we sat at the bar and ordered smash burgers, fries, and got to try a bunch of the beers on tap. There was only one guy working behind the bar, I'm guessing it's pretty slow on weeknights. I would give the burger an 8.5/10, it was yummy and the fries were perfect. We stayed for about 3 hours just hanging out and talking + they were playing Star Wars on one tv and an MLB game on the other (we both love Star Wars and baseball) so that was cool. Check out this place if you're looking for a local beer & wine bar!

I discovered this place when looking for a good ol' smashburger, and W. O. W. This place is amazing. Everything on the menu is seriously a 10/10. I have had the burgers, the chicken sammies and the fish sando' and no complaints at all. This "divey" bar has such an unassuming culinary knack. Go support local businesses!

Nice place for a drink, small smash burger, or buncha fries with friends, not to mention the two free pool tables!

Great food and good vibes, also an excellent beer and wine selection (we can't get enough of the IPA out of Tijuana, La Lupalosa). Ownership did a great job cleaning the place up and still have the pool tables. Recommend stopping by if you're in college area!

Visited this place with my boyfriend and his grandma. Maurice was our server/bartender, he was very friendly and gave us great service. Overall the ambiance was nice for grabbing a beer or wine with some friends. They have many TVs with the sports channels on as well as free to use pool tables. The food was delicious! We each got a burger and fries. They have happy hour from 3-5pm and we were able to get $2 off our burgers and a discount on our drinks. Overall a fantastic place to visit if you're in the neighborhood.

Went here for the game. Cool local spot. I left my phone on the bar and they held my it so it didn't get stolen.

I couldn't love this place more. They specialize in not pissing me off. Tied with The Friendly for my favorite burger in San Diego. The regular smash burger is amazing and if you're looking for a Big Mac from 1976 try the Fancy smash. Fried chicken sandwich is also amazing as is the steak sandwich and the rest of the whole dang menu. Great beer and wine selection, occasional live music, dog friendly patio, plenty of TV's with all the games, and everyone who works there is awesome. Get on it!

still here at the moment. this place is a cozy, hole in the wall establishment. the smash burger they have here is intoxicating all on it's own, it literally melts in your mouth. I added some fries on the side and my drink of choice was the natural red wine. I paired these fantastic options with the outdoor seating that is located in the back. I chose this place because it's within walking distance of where I live. I'm glad it's nearby, because I'll be coming back again. It's my first time here by the way. 5 out of 5 ! Also, let me add that the music playlist they have in rotation is curated perfectly well. Good vibes to say the least.

Great menu, good beer and wine selection. Always playing great music (80s!). They are also dog-friendly and have fun trivia nights too, where you can stay seated at the bar and simply participate via your phone. (My husband and I won a free pour each) Cheeseburger and fries are a great order and the staff has been super friendly.

Double smash burger and fries were great. Juicy, cheesy, perfect ratio of bun, meat, and cheese with thin crispy fries on the side. Awesome service from Greg. New owner turned this ugly dog into a spot with nice ambience. Oh yeah, nice selection of beers too. Looking forward to trying the steak sandwich next time. Will definitely be back to play some free pool and drink some good beers.
