A great cocktail bar with an amazing atmosphere and live jazz music on Saturdays! The band is truly talented and creates the perfect vibe for a relaxed evening. Cocktails are well-crafted and beautifully presented, with a nice variety to choose from. The staff are friendly and attentive, making you feel welcome from the moment you arrive. It’s the ideal place to unwind, enjoy good music, and spend quality time with friends. Definitely worth visiting when in Palermo!

Met some friends here for a drink. Wasn’t too impressed with the lack of air con inside and considering we did request an outside table, that request was initially ignored, even with 2 free tables. Half way through our drinks, the heat inside with No Air Con was unbearable and I asked (stating I can’t stay in here) another member of staff to move us outside, which they did! Much better outside where the decorate is very cool too! See pics both in and out. Prior to us meeting our friends, there was live music I was informed by my friends- she showed me her video of them & the saxophonist was very good! Shame we missed it! Drinks - they had no lemoncello to make a spritzer, no Malibu and no pink gin either! I struggled to find something I liked! The interior is unique but the bar itself and staff are lacking the magic

stumbled across this bar on a cold winter night in december. atmosphere was lovely; warm and welcoming.. staff not so much. a woman came and aggressively placed "rose water" on our table - was horrid, tasted like soil and expired lettuce. drinks were overpriced - prebatched so couldn't alter any of the ingredients... for the price quite disappointing. in addition, we asked a waiter, who was dressed rather inappropriately - beanie and sweatpants - a question and he couldn't even answer properly. overall a pleasant experience only for the atmosphere, wouldn't come back again.

Classy hidden bar off the street, with less people noise and lounge jazz bands in the evening. Great place for a drink in a restored historic building (go on one of the street tours to learn about its origins)

Tonight we went to Mak Mixology with my aunt. We had an amazing time. The service was fantastic. We had a great server Anahi who was spectacular. She made sure we had everything we needed and provided better service than any place I have been to in the US. It was a great time talking and listening to live music from the band "il mucciante". Leonardo played the guitar and Raphael the accedian. The place is dimly lit with a feel of the golden age and has that nice lounge feel. The decore consists of items from the 1930s to 1940s and the building is spectacular. It has large doors and extremely high ceiling with a mesh-like roof giving you an outdoor feel. The staff was all great but our server Anahi made our night. The room has some sort of birdcage with seats and I'm not sure what it is and think it's a VIP area but If you know please post. There is a cool lite up mak sign with Kiss me on it and in the bar room you can watch the bartenders work their craft. The drink menu is in a book and they have lots of amazing house drinks as well as anything else you may want. They have a limited beer menu and an appetizer menu with a few amazing items. Stopped in for classic drinks, Max Mixology's menu showcasing dozens from throughout the 20th century. Met by staff at the entry to seat us, we were seated in an atrium area (previously glass enclosed but now open air courtyard area) to hear a live-band play tunes from early and mid 20th century jazz bands. We enjoyed the experience, with the jazz and drinks. Didn't expect this as part of our journey across Sicily, but a pleasant surprise.

Quirky atmosphere and great cocktails. The perfect place to chill after a day's sightseeing.

Walking down La Via Maqueda from Teatro Massimo you will find Mak Mixology on the left a hundred meter before Quattro Canti. Just a street sign tells you were to walk in. Or should I perhaps say walk out? You are met by a large open space where the roof is almost gone. Just the iron girders are left. It´s a fantastic view. Tables, chairs and sofas are placed nicely in front of the entrance to the bar. With my light sparkling Sicilian wineglass in my hand I sat down and enjoyed it all. Some laundry hung by a window. I heard people living over my head calling. The waiter was not only kind and an expert. He was relaxed ruling over this Mak Mixology in the best way. Inside was a bar room tastefully furnished. Mak Mixology is brave, raw, elegant and generous. One of a kind in its true sense. I say thank you for giving this to me as a guest in Palermo.
