"Perfect little cashmere cardigans and sweater dresses, slouchy tunic tops, and floral printed camisoles are typical of the Parisian-inflected kids clothing here. Prices are steep, making this a good option for a special gift."

I was going to write about their terrible customer service and see from other reviews that it’s already a trend. I tracked my package closely and saw it went all over the place before ultimately being requested to be sent back by the seller. When I emailed to inquire about what happened, they offered no explanation regarding the shipping details or courtesy action and simply offered to resend the package after a 2 week wait. They then proceeded to block my IP when I gave feedback rather than appropriately remedying the situation lol. Would not recommend at all especially for new parents who are looking forward to celebrating their newborn.

Very overpriced and really bad customer service. I bought a onesie for my 2 month old baby. I realized I needed another size and took it back 3 weeks later (which was soonest I could get back downtown being a new mom). The lady at store was very rude and rigid and would not let me exchange the item I had (unworn with tags on) for another size. It wasn’t like I was asking for a full return or something else months later - this was an exchange for the same item, just a different size and a few weeks later but the lady wouldn’t entertain and was rude throughout the process. For the price you are paying at this store would have expected much better customer service (which was poor when I bought the item too) - and at the very least for people who work at baby/child’s clothing store to show a little grace to a new mom. I was really excited to try this store but honestly, the item was overpriced and not worth the hype. Then add the customer service and it’s a big no-go. Definitely a let down.

Amazing quality and outstanding customer service. Have been buying there for >15 years. Both children and women' lines are fantastic. Also home items. Easy and very special gifts for newborns. I've noticed some unhappy feedback among reviewers regarding return policies but the business is small and has more challenges to exchange than mainstream stores. On the flip side their quality and design are also not mainstream - very unique.

The newborn outfit I ordered was very nice but too small for an 8 lb newborn. The legs were too short. I ordered it early December and tried too exchange it Feb. 12 just 4 days after baby was born. The Hadagi is in perfect shape , tags attached and nestled in the great little grey bag it came in. But since I was a bit over the 2 mts, I was told I could not exchange. That was not good customer relations.

I received beautiful bibs as a baby gift. Unfortunately the neck hole was so tiny, I went to exchange for a larger size. They first told me the sale was final and I could not exchange, but when I asked about the sizing (because I'm not sure they would even fit a newborn), I was utterly dumbfounded at the woman's response. She said "Some babies are chubby, so it may fit your baby when she loses weight"... and to top of it off, she did not look up from her computer when she was talking to me. Keep in mind, my daughter is 4 months old and in the 25th percentile... so she can wear the Makie product when she loses weight?! For a myriad of reasons associated with my recent experience there, I will never step foot into this shop again. It's a shame.

Do not shop at this store. Their policies on returns are ridiculous and unfair. I purchased a hat on sale and tried to exchange it for a larger size. Offered to pay the difference of the now full price item and there was ‘nothing they could do’. Will never be back. That is just bad business.

Came across this hidden gem accidentally today. Very impressed with the quality of clothes and very good customer service. Definitely will come back next time we are back in New York 😍 Much love from Australia ♥️

High quality textiles kids clothing. The selection is small but exquisite.
