Great little Thai place with nice decor. The place is really tiny and offers outdoor seating but very limited seating arrangements. It seems they are focused on take away orders. The food is good I ordered the drunken noodles along with Fried chicken over rice.

The most authentic street Thai food I’ve had in Manhattan. There, I said it. A hole-in-the-wall restaurant, MAKIINNY is unassuming, modest, and purely delicious. Their ingredients are fresh, and the dishes are served as they would be served in Thailand — excellent flavor and the right level of spice. And the portions are large and prices are very reasonable. Highly recommend their Som Tum papaya salad (large enough for two people), and their Crispy Chicken over Ginger. The chicken is a show stopper - it also comes with chicken broth on the side. They have a few tables for outdoor seating, and service is fast and friendly. I’ve had a lot of Thai food in NYC, and this is the best I’ve had since visiting Bangkok or Chiangmai in Thailand. Highly recommend!

Makiinny is the best Thai restaurant I’ve tried! I always get their Chicken over Turmeric rice or the Chicken over Ginger rice- perfectly paired with the broth that it comes with and the Thai Iced tea, my favorite. Sometimes they disappoint me with dry chicken, but I think it happens sometimes- but love this place and definitely recommend!

This is authentic Thai (not like the Chinese food served at most Thai places in NY). Simple and fresh ingredients. I'm not sure why others said the portions are small, the dish I got was good for 2 meals. They have 2 outdoor tables and a bench during Covid. Chicken was 5 stars and amazing but the white rice was horribly dry to the point of being inedible. EDIT SEPT 12: Went back again. Chicken is still awesome but the rice, again, was inedible! This place would be 5 stars if they provided simple white rice that is not dry.

Lovely Thai place. All the food is amazing, I can't believe that we have authentic Thai food in New York City, very hard to find good like MAKIINNY. 100/100

I tried their only dessert selection on the menu. It was ok — sweet crispy roti. I knocked off one star because the tables were sticky. I’d probably try the other menu items next time but I’ll just have them to go.

This is very very good, even under delivery conditions. Most thai places in NYC are a big disappointment with their gloppy, overly sweet nonsense, but not this place. Rich flavors, good bite. Both Guay Teow Kaek and Khao Rama Tofu were great and I would order them again. The only area for improvement: The restaurant has reading comprehension issues: When I said no plastic forks, that's what it means, don't just put unneeded things that go straight in the trash in my order.

Got the crab Rangoon, pork pad Thai, khao mun gai tod, and drunken noodles for take out. Crab Rangoons were good, but a little small and overpriced. Everything was DELICIOUS and would get it all again (would try something other than the crab Rangoon tho just bc of the price)!! Really cute spot, definitely going to go again! Might just become my go to Thai place in the neighborhood! It’s fast and casual.
