Today, I went to a restaurant with so much hope. Honestly, I was really looking forward to having a peaceful meal and good service. But the moment I stepped in, my heart sank.
The staff were sitting and When I entered, not a single smile, not even a simple gesture of welcome. It genuinely felt like they were thinking, “Oh no, another customer… now we have to work.
I don’t expect anyone to treat me like royalty, but as a customer, at least a warm face, a welcoming gesture that’s basic hospitality, right?
Still, I told myself, “It’s okay, I came for food, not for smiles.” But then the food arrived, and even that hope slowly disappeared. The way they served, their body language, the lack of care. it made me feel like I shouldn’t have come at all.
If this is how staff behaves! with no interest, no kindness, no energy. it’s not just bad service, it’s a sign that the business may not last. People come to restaurants not just to eat, but to feel welcomed.
And just to be clear. I didn’t enter from the main gate. I came from the back side, near your ground floor.
I had planned to just order food for takeaway. So I told them in the beginning, “Please pack everything for takeout.”
But just a few minutes later, my friends came to join me. So I politely went back to the waiter and said, “Sorry, actually please don’t pack it — we’ll eat here instead. You can still charge me for the takeaway, no problem, I’ll pay for the containers.”
He didn’t seem happy at all, but I stayed calm and explained again, even said “It’s okay, charge me extra, just bring the food to the table.”
And guess what?
Instead of properly serving the food, he just brought the black plastic takeaway containers and placed them right on our table — just like that. No plates, no proper service, nothing.
an you believe that?
Even after I agreed to pay for the takeaway charges — they couldn’t even bother to transfer the food onto a proper plate? It felt so disrespectful.
My friends and I sat there feeling awkward and unwelcome. The staff didn’t smile, didn’t greet, didn’t show even a little bit of warmth. Just cold expressions like, “Why are you here?”
To be honest, I felt like calling the owner directly.
If this is how customers are treated — ignored, embarrassed, and made to feel like a burden — then I don’t see how this business can last.
People don’t come to restaurants just for food. They come for an experience. For comfort. For human decency.
And today, I felt none of that.

PS:
They charged me for five takeaway containers — full packing charges — and still didn’t bother to serve the food on plates from the start.
Only did it after I asked.
No service, no care — just a bill.
No hate. Just a genuine disappointment from someone who came with full heart and walked out with none.✨🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻✨
