This Place is absolutely amazing. The staff is very polite. The atmosphere and the interieur is lovely and the food is incredibly delicious. There is a good variety of vegan Dishes and the quality is insanely good. The prices are very fair and its the best place especially for younger, more alternative people to hang out and have a good time. I also loved the music they were playing in the background. What would make this place even more perfect for me, is a Tablesoccer (Foosball Table) Game and maybe some more board games. It's a little sad and feels a little unfair, that you get charged additional 0,50€ if you order plant based milk for your coffee which isn't really contemporary.

This place would be a great find in Sydney where I’m from. To find it in Cesis is fantastic. Very arty crowd who come here and have a bite or a drink or to paint. The food is nice, and a really impressive selection of craft beers. They have exhibitions and live shows. Genuinely unique and in an incredible old building, formerly a brewery from what I understand. Fantastic chai also as a side point.

The place and atmosphere are very real and comfortable. The waitress is really kind, available and easy going. The ingredients are fresh. The dishes are not pretentious: easy but well made. I was only a bit disappointed by the dessert. It was not an apricot dessert but a toffee flavored meringue dessert, which was too cloying for me.

What an incredible place! Prices were so reasonable and the food was incredible we could have just kept eating. To top it off they have a great selection of beers and the desserts were fantastic. I rarely make the effort to review places but for here I had to, a must visit for all those going to Cesis.

Such a unique and cozy place! We're very happy we've found it! The interior really gave a homelike atmosphere, classy and comfy furniture really makes it. The food (big love for the vegan options!) was delicious and at an affordable price. The stuff was very kind and added extra cozyness to the place. It feels like the ultimate spot in Cesis to come and chill and feel relieved from the outer world. A total recommend, would def come back once in Cesis!

Tasty vegetarian and vegan options, lots of space, great staff. The daily menu had a selection of 4 snacks and 3 main dishes (buckwheat/mushroom burger, pasta with baked bell pepper sauce or courgette soup). Thanks Mala!

Artspace MALA ("edge; periphery") is a counterculture beacon in Vidzeme, a charming, bohemian cafe and event space that features musical talent from around the world and Latvian visual artists on its gallery walls, housed in a sprawling one-time brewery. Excellent vegetarian fare, soups, teas, coffee and a wide array of alcoholic bev. Very kid and pet friendly with a playground / large courtyard.
