"Led by Keith Pulitano — the New Yorker behind San Juan wine bar El Vino Crudo and the Puerto Rico outpost of Malavita, an Italian specialty shop stocked with products "hard to find in Puerto Rico" — this Italian-focused shop and eatery will open later this year at 614 Manhattan Avenue (near Nassau Avenue) in the old Baoburg space in Greenpoint. Pulitano announced on Instagram, "We’re doing quality sandwiches, deep cut Italian dishes, bangers only wine list and…there’s a yard!" He is also involved with the Two Bridges wine shop, Magazzino. Ahead of the opening there will be a preview pop-up with friends at Lucia Alimentari from noon to 4 p.m. on August 2 at 301 West Broadway in Soho." - Emma Orlow
"Though Greenpoint is quickly becoming one of the hottest dining areas in town, there’s plenty of room for groups at MáLà Project’s new outpost. The front area of the dry pot-style Chinese restaurant is styled like a modern diner, with checkerboard flooring in the haze of its neon sign that looks onto the busy Manhattan Avenue. But if you’re after something more private, the jade green back area is one of the cooler spots to celebrate a birthday or a more casual night out with friends." - Eater Staff, Beth Landman
"All locations of MáLà Project — East Village, Bryant Park, Midtown East, and Greenpoint — will serve specials throughtout Lunar New Year. But on February 8, the Greenpoint location is throwing a party where a $60 ticket gets you access to an all-you-can-eat buffet and open bar." - Eater Staff
"Upside Pizza and the Chinese restaurant Málà Project both have locations in the area now." - Luke Fortney
"A Chinese restaurant known for dry pot–style dishes that has launched its first Brooklyn expansion in North Brooklyn." - Emma Orlow
