5 artisanal cheeses produced in Asia that you need to try - SilverKris

"A dairy enterprise led by Olive Puentespina that works with regional farmers and its own farm to create cheeses featuring local fruits, herbs and spices grown on-site. Offerings emphasize regional flavors—examples include mango- and pineapple-infused fresh cheeses—and aging techniques that produce aromatic, nutty styles. Standouts are Rosita, a cow’s-milk cheese aged three months for aroma and nuttiness, and Capriccio, a goat-milk cheese matured in dark beer." - Sanjay Surana

Making fresh buffalo cheese in Luang Prabang - SilverKris

"A Davao-based operation led by a Filipina cheesemaker, this farmhouse crafts over a dozen cheeses from her own goats’ milk and has grown enough to open a second retail branch in Cebu City, expanding local access to its range of products." - Nick Measures

Great selection of artisanal cheeses and chocolates! You may ask for some samplers so you can check the flavours.

They recently opened their space for indoor and outdoor dining. They offer a simple variety of food like pizza, pastas, among others. Some of their pizza flavors we wanted to try were not available. But their Margherita was very good. I also loved their Sardines pasta as well. There's buffalo and chicken wings but rice not available in their menu. The staff were friendly but seemed a bit new to all the details. Nonetheless, it was overall a good experience. Will love to try their other dishes next time.

It should be on your Davao must visit place to give you a feel of how local products are produced. World class chocolate and artisanal cheeses to entertain you and definitely a worthy souvenir to bring home. During our visit, we sampled one of their hot chocolate drinks (tsokolate) and kesong puti (artisanal cheese). Best paired with pandesal (local bread). I also enjoyed their mango flavored chevre. Late review - visit date: February2018

Cheese is not the only thing you can buy here. You can also sample the award-winning chocolates from Davao and hot cocoa. Orchids are sold for less than 100 php along with other kinds of flowers. It's a good stop for those who love gardening, chocolate, wine, and cheese.

Had my very first taste of goat milk. It was GOOD. I bought a small block of mango infused cheese, took it back to the hotel in their cute insulated carrier and tried it. My first (also) ever taste of goat cheese with mango. It was very good. I wish I had some wine though 😊

They offer wide selection of artisanal cheese: soft, white rind, hard and blue. Wines are also available, to go with your cheese. Cheers!!
