Malek's Pizza Palace

Enjoyed to the fullest. After our daughter's graduation ceremony, nothing was open that late. My sister proposed this restaurant. I never stopped by before. But it was totally worth coming with the whole family. It fulfilled a variety of food choices. Everyone came out with satisfaction. The server was friendly and made our visit joyful.

We usually love the pizza here but lately has been very unsatisfying with what was ordered. If I wanted a tomato pizza great but I actually ordered a gyro meat which the pieces of gyro meat are countable here sadly will def not order again anymore just getting less and less on it I might as well make my own or order a cheese pizza or tomato in this case

Great family ran restaurant. My server was an extremely nice lady who has worked there for 20 years. Every was excellent. Great tasting classic NY style pizza!!

20240212 First time here. Customer service was beyond excellent! The waitress was very friendly and attentive. We ordered a pizza, and it was pretty good. Delia's and Whole Foods definitely have better pizza. I took the leftover pizza home, and interestingly, when eaten cold, it was very salty. I heated it up in the toaster oven, and it was good, like just freshly baked. I might come back and try their Gyros. That would be a true test.

Omg this is the home of my favorite gyro!!!!! I ordered one yesterday after nearly 30 years and wow!!!!!!!! Tasted exactly the same. Very filling also. Staff has always been very nice and, well, I’m definitely going back a couple times a week. Thank you all for excellent food

Pizza needs to be made the same consistently. Went for the first time Sunday night the pizza was like the best pizza I ever had one of them for sure ! It’s Friday I order that same pizza. I did forget to get multi grain and when I called back 2 minutes later they said it was too late to make the change. But I hadn’t paid for my pizza and you are now giving me a pizza that goes against my diet restriction I am diabetic . I picked up my pizza idk why. And it didn’t even look as good. The toppings were placed messy. Peppers cut so tiny Sunday night they were large and placed beautifully ! No today though! My stomach hurts but that could be because of the white bread. Also they used so much more Tomatoe sauce this time compared to last time, where it’s was spread lightly and it was delicious that way. They need to make sure all cooks are cooking the same way. To just say no when I hadn’t paid yet was just weird like I didn’t have to pick it up and why not accommodate your returning customers. The pizza tasted like it didn’t cook long enough the dough is really doughy especially in the middle. They also never offer me napkins or cheese. I didn’t like my pizza this time idk why I picked it up and the wings need to be cooked longer as well, to a crisp I hate mushy wings. Disappointed I may try again but no time soon. Wish I took a pic of the first pizza to compare literally looked heavenly ! This one was just thrown together.

The pizza was great. I always over indulge (so now I get a small). Service can be a little slow, especially if you order take out and it’s not ready when you get there. Decor is dated, seating isn’t very comfortable but they’re open very late and serve been & wine.

For a prototypical Springfield plaza shopping center, Malek's is quite good. It edges out all the competition in a similar price point ($10-$25 per pizza depending upon which specialty you're getting). And the crust is hearty enough that carryout or delivery (they don't deliver very far) is feasible. It's not a place I'd travel far and wide to experience as I'm sure every Northern VA shopping center has something similar (at least Springfield does). But if you're looking for a pizza to accompany you to a kids party or a potluck where you forgot to make something, this is the place. Just make sure you check your order, they've gotten mine wrong twice (not bad for 25+ times eating here) and they're quick to fix, but don't drive home before you look in the box.

After a long day work I always crave pizza. Me and my coworkers have been wanting to try this place out for a while now and we finally did. We went on a Tuesday evening, I was really hungry that day and since Makeks closes late it was convenient. The pizza is AMAZING, it has the right portions of sauce and cheese, and it comes hot like if it were coming straight out of the oven. Everyone is very friendly, our server was Stephanie, as soon as we sat down she attended us with a positive attitude, she was very attentive and helpful. The restaurant looks aesthetically pleasing and clean. In my opinion the price is great for the quality the food has. Overall 5 out of 5. Will come again and order more pizza. Thank you.

Pizza is one of the better ones in the area. Got the sampler -The jalapeño poppers are made with cheese wiz but it well done, love the fried zucchini and mozzarella sticks, but the two chicken tenders are a bit dry and hard to handle. Service is friendly and fast. Would eat here again.

Pizza was so delicious I loved the crust which I usually never eat from other pizza places. The white pizza was just so amazing. The prices are amazing. Most definitely coming back with my family

Im surprised of the reviews on yelp/google and decided to give this place a try. The pizza here is super soggy, oily, and literally tasteless. The cheeze/sauce used on the pizza seemed extremely cheap. The interior of the restaurant including boothes were very dirty. Service also seemed off as my and my GF were left waiting for quiet some time, then once we were seated we werent even asked for a drink let alone bought a cup of water until i went to the register and asked the "server". Def doesnt live up to the hype presented in the reviews online which makes me think most of these reviews are "fake", or generated by employees/management. Pizza hut/dominos has far better pizza... thats how bad their pizza is

Our family love this place because of its excellent service and delicious pizza. The ambiance is like family diner, so it's nothing fancy but I love how they have events to support local nonprofits. One of their staff, Marco, is just incredible and kind and we absolutely love him and his service. He's the reason why we keep going back! Totally recommend this place.

Amazing food at a great price! My friend ordered the classic steak sandwich by recommendation of the waiter. It was so good! I ordered the gyro, which was also amazing! All of the staff was super helpful and pleasant. Great restaurant!!

Soggy soggy pizza bases, flavorless, terrible wings, and my husband got food poisoning and was on the toilet all night.

Lovely little joint with amazing pizza and friendly fast service. Their sandwiches - especially the ham and turkey are absolutely delicious. I am not a huge pizza fan but I crave theirs.

Came in with my partner and the staff was nice but the food wasn't. I got the Alfredo pasta with shrimp and it came with bread and a salad. The bread tasted like butane or perhaps an uncleaned stove. The salad was a little sour and the pasta had no flavor. The gyros weren't too bad which bumps this to a 2 star.

Highly recommended! We use to order from here multiple times a year when we lived locally. It has been many years since we have been back but after visiting this past weekend the food and memories remain the same. Wonderful staff, food and overall service.

The pizza here is sooooo good! My go to's would be the meat pizza and the breakfast pizza. I haven't tried them all though. The fried zucchini; omg! I love that they are open very late and have really good food for those hours of operation. They have a very filling Greek salad. They have monthly fundraisers that outreach to benefit the community that you can donate to also. Highly recommended.

I've lived in Springfield for over 5 years and have never given this place a try. After reading all the great reviews I decided to try it out. I'm a New Yorker who loves a good pizza pie. Went in on a Friday evening and there were quite a few people dining. That's always a good sign. When I walked in I was immediately greeted by the ladies at the front desk. Based on the reviews I was most curious to try their pizza. I went with a small 12 inch pie, which is 8 slices (all their pies are 8 slices). Just enough for 2 people. I got half pepperoni half sausage. Since I was taking it home I asked them not to cut it so that I could pop it in the oven on my pizza stone once to get the bubbly cheese and crispy crust. I also ordered their chili which was their soup of the day (very good chili). The chili reminded me a little bit of Wendy's chili, which I love. The pizza was everything I hoped for in a pizza. It reminded me of a New York pie, which doesn't happen often. I can't believe it took me so long to give this place a try. This will definitely be my go to place whenever I'm having a pizza craving.

I have lived her 27 years and used to come here a lot. Haven't been her in a while. Went here for a late night meal last night and decided on two appetizers instead. Ordered the calamari and zucchini sticks. The zucchini was fine but the calamari was AWFUL. It was dry and rubbery and tasted old and fishy. It honestly looked like it had been previously served and taken off someone's plate, refried, and served again. We asked that they take it off our bill and they did. I don't know why that even made it out of the kitchen. And my bf got sick later. Never again.

I really loved this place ever since I moved nearby, however, after my visit last weekend I don't see myself coming back. While I love the food and flexible hours, I decided to dine in and unfortunately saw a mouse. I was really shocked because although the tables were kinda dirty, I never expected to see a mouse. It ran across the restaurant underneath a persons booth. It made me lose my appetite and decided to leave. Really love this place so hopefully they fix this issue.

Pizza is amazing. The perfect soft and thin crust along with cheese that is somehow more delicious that other pizza cheese. And the staff is always friendly to boot!

We came very late around 12 - 1 AM, and our experience was still great. Took quite a while to serve us even though we were the few people in the place, but the food was fantastic! We got a pepperoni pizza.

The food here was good last time I ate a lasagna it was delicious thank you maleks and today I saw my friend the service here is nice the people enjoyed the food feels like a miracle thank you maleks the pizza and food here is nice so 5 stars IG And the ambiance is also enjoying the pizzaria/pizza palace thank you so much

This place needs some experienced management and wait staff. We (3 ) of us ordered food with all of us receiving the food at different times. The food was OK just having to wait for my friends to receive their meal made mine a little cold. I would have complained but this place was busy and had already waited for the meal plus the check. I sure hope they fix the management situation as this might be a good place to eat in the future.

If it's not drippy, oozy pizza, my go-to here is chicken souvlaki with rice and salad. We are lucky to live about a block away so it was piping hot. (And fast) The delivery driver was at my door almost before I could hang up the phone! Chicken is nicely charbroiled, rice is , well, rice but still yum and salad is simple but they make Italian dressing in house- quite tangy! I gotta say too, they still have their own drivers and you don't have to wait or pay an exorbitant fee for a delivery service. Love Malek's, keep up the good work! We'll be here!!

Was so tired of only McDonalds being opened and wanted like legit food and found this gem my boyfriend told me about (: I ordered the spaghetti pizza with meat sauce and Wow this put me in an Icarly movie (ifykyk) but it was so fresh and tasty and recommend the meat sauce - gives it that extra texture! The photo is a screenshot from our video we took (sorry for the quality) This place is so adorable and I believe is family owned so everything just felt so cozy and LOVE TO SUPPORT! Def recommend trying!! Can't wait to go back and try other things on the menu !!

Got 14" cheese pizza with 4 additional toppings gyro meat, jalapenos, pickled onions...so delicious and the combo of toppings worked!! Others got pepperoni pizza and veggie pizza

Love this place for Greek food and pizza (avoid pasta dishes lol). The greek salad is literally the best I've ever had - loaded with goodies, including grape leaves, tons of feta, kalamata olives, tomatoes, and more! Most greek salads you get are skimpy. You can't even finish this one in one sitting, especially if you get meat added on. It never disappoints. As far as pizza goes, it's not NY, but it's so much better than all of the local places and chains in our area. We love Malek's! And Marco is the best!

Calling all onion ring lovers! If you agree that battered is the only way to go, then get to Malek's. Big, juicy, sweet onions inside a tender, crisp, fried batter...YUM!!! On to the rest of the goodness: We love the pizza, the lunch specials, and the service. We especially love ordering a big meal on May 31st to support Malek's AND Assist Pregnancy Center. You can't go wrong at this original Springfield family-owned spot!

The food is ok. It was pretty good lasagna, and pizza, but it was very tough to order something basic like fettuccine with sausage...they could only do spaghetti and meatballs.

Pizza was pretty good, no complaints there. Customer service was very much lacking. I ordered two pizzas for around $40. My wife texted me a free dessert coupon on my way that's valid with the purchase of two entrees. I showed the cashier the coupon and a manager saw as well. He told me I needed to physically print the coupon and present. Shocking to me in 2024 and not quite environmentally friendly. Then he told me he would honor the coupon, but to print it in the future. Fine by me. However, he came back a minute later and asked to see the coupon. Now he says he won't honor the coupon because ordering two pizzas don't qualify as entrees (even though my pizzas cost more than two of the cheapest entrees). This was also quite surprising and pretty pathetic after he said he would honor the coupon. This wouldn't have been anything in my mind if he had simply stuck with his decision to not honor the coupon on my phone. But not honoring your word after you confirmed it is much worse. I was going to simply give the dessert to my kids, but this place is too petty to throw the customer a bone and have integrity. Last time going to this place.

No, just no. We had gone to this place for years, And while most of the stuff on their menu was a bad tasting ethnic copy of Italian food, their pizza was still good. But since the pandemic, they have just kept going down hill. Ordered a few pizzas the other day. The girl at the counter literally grumbled at our using one of the coupons they emails us, and they even charged full price for a pizza that had the topping just on half to be cheap. Worst is the quality and ingredients. It's all the cheapest quality crap. The cheese is bad, the meats are bad, and though they always used to have a good dough - its not even the same anymore and its really bad too. While other pizza places are obviously better, even pizza from Costco is better then Maleks. And pizza is often still good or even better cold or better cooked the next day - not these. We threw it all out. What a waste. Sadly, we are done with Malek's. And unless it's 2am, you're drunk, and nothing else is open and you must have a pizza and aren't safe enough to heat one at home - actually, I would still avoid this place. Order Papa Johns. Go to Whole Foods. Pretty much any other pizza place in the area actually. And, as most reviewers have even agreed for years, the Pizza was really the only thing you used to be able to rely on here. So sad. Maybe it's new owners or under new management?

Malek's was absolutely great. A colleague of mine tried Malek's out and I loved it. The service was good and the pizza was excellent. The crust was nice and light and crispy and the it had the right amount of sauce and cheese. Definitely going back for sure.

There's honestly nothing worse than calling in food when you're starving, specifically asking for honey mustard sauce, to then going to pick up your food and asking twice if the sauce was in the bag-just to be shooed off and told a fake reassuring yes, to getting home and realizing you made the mistake of taking their word without stopping to rip the bag open. Of course there was no sauce, not even a napkin. I drove way too far to go back and the weather was horrible. I always give a business an opportunity to make it right so I called to let them know what happened and all they could tell me was "I'm sorry" I'm sooo disappointed and still hungry because there was no way I was going to tear my throat up trying to eat these beyond dry tenders. They could have at least invited me back to make it right since this was their mess up. What a waste of time and money on a rainy night.

The pizza is epic. The cheeseburger sub is incredible. Service is family friendly. Nice and clean.

Called in to order carry out and was put on hold for 10 minutes with no response. Hung up and called back three times a couple of minutes apart. Each time some guy mumbled Malek's Pizza please hold as fast as humanly possible and put me on hold again before I could even ask if they were able to-do carry out orders. Since I was right around the corner, I stopped in and tried to politely express my frustration. I was just blown off dismissively before the other said that they're swamped but "not short on customer service". Absolutely laughable. I declined and said I'd be going to Delia's instead. I've never been treated like a nuisance there. Avoid this place if you like being shown basic courtesy.

I ordered here because the hotel that I was staying at gave me the menu and they delivered until 3 AM. The first time I ordered I got a chicken Caesar salad and the mild buffalo wings. They weren't incredibly mild but they were really good. I didn't eat the Caesar salad because the wings filled me up. The only issue was they gave me these really saucy wings with two napkins. The next time I ordered I got the cheese bread and the white pizza and I asked for extra napkins this time. I got everything and there were zero napkins this time. I don't know what the napkin problem is here. The white pizza was awful. I don't know if I just don't like white pizza or if it was just bad, but I did not like it at all. There was too much oregano on it. They should've put that on the side, the cheese bread was OK, nothing special. I did call about the napkins and they were like sorry. Anyway, delivery is pretty quick and they are very nice.

Malek's used to be... just okay, and even then just for pizzas. But since COVID, this place and its food are trash. Even the pizzas are literally the worst I have ever had from any resturaunt, with the worst ingredients. I've bought $1 slices of pizza on the street that blew this away. This is the closest pizza place to my house, and I've gotten pizzas from here for yars, but now, I will never go back. It's a good location though, so maybe some Italian family will buy them out and make us a real local pizza place!

Malek's is a staple in Springfield for more than 3 decades of my life! It's a Diner, a Pizza Shop, a Family Restaurant an extension of your own family. You feel welcomed to be there, you're not just another ticket or bill. They treat you like you're truly part of their family! Jonathan's parents started with just 4 seats and a take-out pizza,gyro, and sandwich shop. Now you can sit down and stay to eat with your family and friends. You'll see your neighbors, you haven't talked to in forever and it's that kind of place that brings people together. It's not a big restaurant it's more of a cozy nook! What in the holy hell, Malek!!!! Just purchased two pasta dishes and a seafood platter and I had to share this news immediately!!! First time ever buy past and a platter. We usually get the pizza. Words of wisdom Malek... STICK TO PIZZA!! The pasta dishes were flavorless trash! The Seafood platter was a joke 1 crab ball cake cut into 1/4's which tasted like imitation crab refried, calamari which was frozen food with no taste then the shrimp was horrifically frozen food as well. I thought they had a full kitchen but they decide to cook frozen food? I'm floored! Better off going to Lidl or Aldi to get their frozen food. So seems like Maggiano's and Olive Garden has a leg up on Malek's pasta dishes. Better off ordering a pizza.

Malek's is a staple in Springfield. It's been around for decades and I have a lot of good memories here of the food. The Spaghetti Pizza is a fun thing to eat, just be ready to fall into a food nap state after as it's really filling. They have great portions and I'd recommend supporting this local business as it's good quality and portions.

I hadn't been to Malek's in years as I moved to the other side of town. I was in the area, so I came back. As I recalled the food was excellent and the server was cordial and attentive. Their chicken parmigiana sub was delicious. I'm glad I came back.

I wish I could give them 0 stars Pizza 6/10 Gyro platter 2/10 Salad ' I trashed because Jesse wasn't wearing gloves while cleaning his counter and taking payments and putting salad dressing in the same time. Also wearing mask just for covering his chin. Hanging your mask on your ears and not covering your nose and mouth doesn't mean your are wearing a f@&$ing mask you moron and talking to your customer and packing food at the same time. I really don't f@&$¥ing care how delicious your food is but if you can't follow the f&$@ing COVID protocols then I don't give a F@&$ about your food. This was one of the closest places to my hotel and had decent reviews. I wanted to try a variety so I went with a medium 14" pizza, Italian sub, and spaghetti with Alfredo sauce. Pizza - from appearance, I wasn't loving it as it didn't look like traditional NY to me, but it did have good flavor. I added garlic on half, which did add flavor, but was not evenly distributed. I had to spread it out myself.... Italian sub - wasn't in love with this. I did add oil and vinegar. I think it was the pickles that was throwing the flavor off...I would have thought those should be banana peppers instead. Spaghetti - I had this with Alfredo sauce which was tasty. I actually took some of the garlic and put it in the spaghetti; that added a lot of good flavor. Overall if you're in the area of Springfield, it's one of your best choices.

2 stars for being open late but not worth the pizza and ESPECIALLY not worthy of a return due to the lack of friendliness (maybe bcuz they don't think I'm Greek lol wth) smh I left a tip anyway

Really appreciate it 5 stars for being clean and well decorated for the holidays! 5 stars for great menu 5 stars for prices 4.5 stars for food in general 3 stars for spaghetti pizza! 2 stars for the too much alchohol smell at the store!! Really too much! I ordered a cup of chili and asked for all the available toppings and I got with a SMILE which I really care about when I go to restaurants! It was great quality and very tasty I ordered spaghetti pizza with meat sauce and I added mushroom, It wasn't good as I expected but I believe it can be fixed to be 5 stars if they did two things! 1.put more sauce on the pizza and mix it with the pasta before add it on the pizza. 2. Use a little bit of tomato paste and any fatty source (it can be oil!) In the meat sauce because it was full of water/soup and very light and doesn't work for pizza, it need to be heavier (the fat or oil will do that) and has more taste for tomato (the tomato paste will do that) But really the good service and nice place erased any negative impact I had. Thank you again and I'll definitely do another visit soon

The pizza is great. The closest to New York pizza that you will get in VA. Unfortunately they messed up with my toppings this evening and I called to let them know shortly after getting home. The manager told me and I quote "the guy who took your order said he put it in exactly the way you said it". Well if that's the case then why wasn't it made exactly the way I "said it" ? They offered to make a new one if I brought the incorrectly made pizza back, but I don't live close to the location and even after I stated that he refused to offer a credit but said that he would "put a note on my account specifying how I like my pizza made." And when I told him that I felt that was unacceptable he said that HIS manager would be giving me a call. (A call that I'm still waiting for by the way). Piss poor customer service. My mom no longer wants to order from here.

Had such a great experience! Pizza literally is so good! First time there and I grew up in the area. We learned it's been there for 40 years. I literally went by it a million times since I was 13 years old! Fatma you're waitress (I hope I got her name right) was amazing and told us the history of the place. I told her..I think you guys ship in NY water because this pizza tastes like great NY pizza! If they don't, they are doing it right! So good! Thank you Fatma for a great dinner! Oh and the prices can't be beat!
