10 Best Restaurants & Bars Near Climate Pledge Arena

"A lot of taco counters work the same way. You order, you eat, you maybe drop some guacamole on your shirt, and then you leave. Malena’s is unlike other taquerias because, despite mostly being a takeout operation, you’ll get a basket of free chips and an actual molcajete of homemade salsa if you’re staying. It’s a nice touch, especially if you want a small bite before your carne asada or baja fish tacos come out. And speaking of fish tacos, theirs are great, making for the perfect snack before enduring the jersey-clad hordes." - gabe guarente, aimee rizzo, kayla sager riley

Speak Spanish, and they will treat you right. If not, you will be skipped in your order will be wrong. Sometimes they serve real fajitas. Most of the time they mask it and a lot of the food is sell meat. That’s been rejuvenated not a good place to eat prejudice

I finally stopped by this location since they're also near my place of work. I got the migas, which were nothing special; the papas had no salt, and the molcajete sauce wasn't spicy, which was highly disappointing. The limonada was probably the best thing I walked out with. They have variety, so I'll give them another shot to see if they wow me the next time enough to change my rating.

The service and the workers were really welcoming but to all my Menudo lovers… it tasted bland (no flavor), the meat was way over cooked but the broth wasn’t greasy. I gave this 2 stars only because the tortillas are handmade.

Good is awsome and authentic! Home made. The menudo is special. Very good. I recommend it and the home made corn tortillas are perfect. These tacos are stuffed with great wholesome authentic Mexican food.

Tacos were fine. Nothing to write home about. The star was the salsa

This is definitely 💯 the taco spot in a 5 mile radius that you want to go and get something to eat. There menu is amazing and kid-friendly. The service alone by JASMINE has made me a guest for her and her family's restaurant FOREVER. Jasmine remembers every guests name and there favorite food in detail what they like and don't like. She's always smiling and definitely cares about her guests needs. I can definitely tell she is very HUMBLE and PASSIONATE about what she is doing in this restaurant. Thank you Jasmine for an amazing experience. I wish you and your family more prosperity, growth, happiness, and success.

Breakfast tacos smacked!! Real authentic mexican food!! Ask for the corn tortilla you won't regret!! Friendly staff, great price. If I'm ever in the area again, I'll definitely come back.

Yelp
I came here to try their gorditas but ended up choosing their flauta plate. My order came with 4 deep fried flautas and rice & beans. Definitely not the best flautas I've ever tried - they were shiny with grease. I know flautas are deep fried but I prefer the ones that aren't glistening with grease. I ate it. It was OK. The rice & beans were good. Staff was very nice. Neighborhood is extremely sketchy and as I pulled up, the occupants of the car next to me were dumping the trash out of their car into the parking lot without a second thought. Doubtful that I would return.

Yelp
The company I worked at for the last 26 years is a 13 min. walk from Malena's Tacos. It's in the same strip center as a chain sandwich shop I've enjoyed for years. Today I was wanting a Torta. I have never been in the B & G convenience store even though its been there a long time. I got to say the Torta was one of the best things I've ever eaten. It was so good I felt like I needed to apologize after eating it. It left me feeling happy. The counter girl was so sweet and helpful. She let me sample the food before I bought it.

Yelp
And very small cafeteria Style restaurant. Built in a J&B store. There are several kinds of selections to choose from meats, and veggies. Tortas, tacos and burritos. You can't go wrong in any of the choices. The ladies speak mostly spainish but understand pointing.

Yelp
I came for lunch. I got the lunch plate that came with 3 tacos, beans, and rice. The tortillas were made fresh and the meat was soft and tender. I got two fajita de res and one of barbacoa. The fajita was yummy but the barbacoa not so much. Maybe I'm not a fan of barbacoa like I used to be because I'm not liking it in many restaurants as well. Anywho, try this spot if you are not a fan of barbacoa, they have many meat options, as well. The staff was nice. The lunch plate was 7.99..not bad because they put a lot of meat in the tacos. I like to add salsa to mine and they had this green salsa that was overly diluted. Salsa makes the dish for me, and this salsa wasn't good. Maybe I'll get better luck next time?

Yelp
I work very close to this place and have been told how good it is. I finally go over one morning to get a couple of tacos and was not impressed. The lady helping me was very rude. She acted like I was an inconvenience to her. I told her three times what I wanted and even pointed at the food behind the glass and she still got my order wrong. I'll try again at some point I'm sure but not anytime soon.

Yelp
I had a breakfast meeting with about 25 people...showed up and asked for 3 dozen breakfast tacos. These wonderful women busted their butts to get me my order in very prompt fashion and still served other patrons. Well done ladies and thank you. The office I brought them to loved them!

Yelp
Very authentic Mexican food. Generous portions, great prices. (Except they charged $1.70 for a cup of water.). Mexican soap operas on TV. Food tasted and looked much better than the stock photos on the wall. Convenience store and check cashing location... lots of local workers. A fun change from fast-food and chain restaurants if you want something casual and filling

Yelp
hi, literally went here today and got charged $6.00 for 2 tacos! i didnt pay attention at the moment until i got back to my house. anyhow, seems like everytime i go to this place they overcharge me and act like they dont know what they are doing. the tacos in reality are $1.99! which is still overpriced for the shitty tacos i received!!!!! save ur time dont waste ur money here! :)
