Malga Roncac

Probably one of my favourite places to eat. The ambience is perfect if you’re into cozy vibes - warm, inviting, and just the right kind of quiet. The venue is tucked away in the mountains of Moena, with a nearby trail that’s ideal for hiking or mountain biking, which adds to the charm. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and there’s even a resident cat, which was a huge bonus for me. Honestly, more restaurants should have feline hosts! The food? Absolutely gorgeous. It is on the pricier side, but 100% worth it for the quality, experience, and atmosphere. Can’t wait to go back.

I totally loved the place in all aspects! Restaurant is located up on a hill and requires a hike from the centre of Moena, which was an additional asset for me. Building was constructed about 12 years ago with use of old wood and stone, what makes it extremely cozy and respectful for nature. There is a real fireplace in the main room. Restaurant is small but was fully booked. All guest were served by one, very kind and competent waitress. We loved every single dish we have ordered. We will definitely come back to Malga Roncac when we are in Moena.

Excellent view and atmosphere, best ravioli I have had in my trip. A little tricky to drive up there but well worth it.

I would like to give my compliments to the chef and absolutely award the food 5 stars. It was simply delicious. However, I have to rate this place only 2 stars overall because of the disrespectful attitude of the lady waitress with short brown hair. We had made a reservation for three people two hours in advance. Only one of us was hungry and ordered two dishes; the others wanted to have only desserts. The waitress started blaming us, saying that “it’s not correct to come with a reservation and order only desserts.” Excuse me? Why shouldn’t I be able to order whatever I want? When we made the reservation, no one mentioned that there were any such requirements. I understand that she might have forgotten to mention this during the phone call, but I cannot understand the way she treated us when we placed the order. Such an attitude is the level of a cheap diner, not a restaurant. If the chef ever moves to another restaurant, I will definitely visit that place.

The restaurant is actually in the middle of nowhere. With amazing view. Each dish is a surprise. Highly recommended

The location and the environment are beautiful, it feels like being in a fairy tale. The food served is delicious.

The road to Malga Roncac is the beginning of a wonderful adventure. Picturesque place, beautiful house. Wonderfully finished details of wood, stones, smell. Tartare 10/10, I dare say the best I've ever eaten in the world. Delicious wine, liver melting in your mouth. The staff is smiling. Very high level. I will miss
