Malhi's Indian Cuisine

This is my favorite food spot. The food is so fresh, the restaurant is very clean, and the staff is super friendly and their service is fantastic. We are new in town, so I will be back to try everything on the menu eventually because all the dishes look so good. The garlic naan is my favorite.

the waiter and staff were so quiet and shy? they were practically whispering and we couldn't hear them, it was actually making us nervous. the food was not bad at all but it is disgustingly overpriced. the chutneys and sauces were sold separately for four dollars each!!!! we paid $80 for a two person serving, two sodas and a shared dessert. I'm not against high priced food but the portions were so small I just couldn't justify it, it doesn't make sense.

Aug 9, 2025 My first time at this place. Got Chicken Tika and Naan flatbread. Naan was great. Chicken Tika not so much, I’ve had better. The service was professional and fast. I’ll give them another try

Ordered food through uber got everything we ordered but that chicken tandoori was old, dry and burnt. That chicken was not freshly made. Other dishes we ordered was pretty good like dal tarka and chicken palak

Humiliated and Refused Service After Simple Location Mistake—Despite Offering to Pay for a New Order. I had accidentally placed my takeout order at the Lancaster branch instead of the Palmdale one. Upon realizing my mistake, I immediately called the Palmdale location and explained the situation. I offered to place and fully pay for an entirely new, fresh order at the Palmdale location. We were late to an Airbnb and could not drive back to Lancaster. Despite my offer to pay for new food and correct my mistake, the staff member (or Manager) refused to serve me ( after making me sit for 15 mins without any explanation or talk), later citing an inexplicable 'policy.' I was willing to pay for two orders just to get my meal, but they refused my business entirely and were completely unhelpful in finding a solution. This is a severe failure of basic customer service and a baffling, punitive response to a simple, non-disruptive customer error. Shame on the guy at the Lancaster location ( on phone ) who said "We own the restaurant and we have right to refuse service". Really, dude ?

Warm welcome and very friendly staff, they will help you to choose your dish, atmosphere is great. But the main thing FOOD is not good not even OKAY! I ordered a chicken and a lamb item, both were pre cooked, not fresh. Tastes like Pre boiled chicken cut into pieces and soaked in sauce, that’s it!! No authentic flavor. Lamb was tough to chew ! Both items smell stale. With their awesome service By improving their food taste and quality it could be a nice place to try Indian cuisine.

Tasty food, friendly staffers Small eatery with India cuisine, nice favor and reasonable prices. Liked the veggie Samosas, nice crispy wrap with tasty spicy filling and two sauces. The spiciness is okay for me but might be a bit on spicy side for those not used to spiciness. They offered three leveled spiciness, I choice the medium for the in the middle. I would not go spicy than this as it is already on the limit that I would consider as enjoyable. If you are not used to spicy food, the medium would be way over your like.

I am quite passionate about Indian food and have tried many places so far. This restaurant definitely is a five star one. I tried their lamb vindaloo at its highest spicy level, it met expectations since it was very hot, fresh, lamb was well cooked, and the portion was as expected. It comes with a good portion of white rice so this choice can’t go wrong. The veggie biryani was also delicious, rice properly cooked (not dry) and a lot of vegetables on it. Their samosas are freshly made, it’s a pair in the order and they are fairly big and tasty, recommend them. I like to order a side of onions and green chili to spice up the meal for those ones looking for hot food. Lastly, their tea is fantastic and they refill it with new and hot tea if you request it. Great job guys, keep up the good flavor.

Malhi's is hands down one of my favorite Indian restaurants I have ever been to. The is food here is consistently delicious - flavorful, fresh and just so comforting. The samosas are perfectly cripsy, all vegeterian curries are rich, and the garlic naan is basically impossible to stop eating. Also, can't forget the unlimited chai refills. The service is always friendly and welcoming, whether you're dining in or picking up takeout. Good laidback ambiance. I have been here couple times and it has never dissapointed me.

This place was pretty nice, i like the restaurant decor. We tried this spot out a few days ago. We tried the curry lamb and tandoorii chicken plate. I enjoyed how quickly the food was prepared and the service the waitress provided. The flavors on the chicken tandoori was pretty good but a lil dry, i wish the portions was better. Overall, its a place worth trying if you are passing by.

Been coming to this location for a few years now and have tried several of their dishes. My go-to, however, is their chicken tikka masala, which is always on point. Meat is tender and the creamy sauce pairs perfectly with their rice or naan (garlic). Recently, I've also been ordering the mango chicken - think "Indian version of orange chicken". So good. If you like your food spicy ask for "Indian hot". Service is prompt and attentive. It's a cool vibe for a strip mall and nice enough for a business lunch.

Let's let a 5 star out for a family run business that has been hitting bangers for as long as I can remember. I have never ever had a bad meal or service or experience here in the many years of living in the AV. Malhis is solid Indian food and serviced with a smile. The plate ware and setting and decorations make you feel at home Indian family style. The beer selection decent with the Indian beers. The menu has a good variety of items and they are fresh ingredients. The prices are decent for what you get, you will eat well here... I love the food service and the setting. If you are in AV and need an Indian meal, come to Malhis and enjoy.

We enjoy the navrattan korma, bengin barta, mango lassi, and the samosas. Typically do takeout and it's good value because the portion sizes are pretty big.

Chicken tikka masala with garlic naan is my favorite. I tried their tea and that was also so good! Good service and not long wait times at all even when busy.

I would door dash this to work & decided to try the dine in experience..Great customer service and yummy food was excellent my kids loved it (was their first time trying Indian food). Plenty of waiters constantly checking in despite it being pretty busy. Will return!

I went here with my family and we got lamb tikka marsala, garlic naan, paneer pokora, lamb vindaloo, and bengan bharta (eggplant dish). I really like the decor of the building as well as the Indian music that played in the background. Chutney came complimentary. The paneer pokora reminded me of tofu and looked like a chicken nugget. The eggplant was very good. The chicken briyani was ok. My biggest issue is that the meat wasn't that tender. The vibdaloo in particular was a bit chewy. However, the flavors of everything was excellent. The naan was not excessively oily. The rice cups (comes with each curry order) are more shallow than they appear to be. An order of curry form here would make a perfect dinner.

Amazing authentic Indian cuisine! The flavors were rich with perfectly spiced dishes that weren't overpowering. My husband Loves the chicken Tika Masala because it's always so creamy and tender. The garlic naan was fresh and fluffy and the Chicken Tandoori was bursting with flavor. Service was friendly and very attentive also the atmosphere is warm and inviting. Highly recommend for anyone craving delicious Indian food!

Almost gave a two star and they could've gotten a five star however this was my first time eating at this restaurant called in in order to go straight from their website chicken tikka masala, Sri Lankan chicken curry two orders of naan should've been 35 bucks I get there and it was $52 I pay I leave and I start to think about it and doing the math in my head I go back to the website to confirm and yes they overcharged me so I call and they tell me that they have raised their prices and they haven't changed the website he apologized. He was nice about it but nothing other than an apology. I will say the food was good but that's a big difference to go from 35 to 52 and again this menu I ordered from their website.

I've only gone during lunch time on weekdays, but I have to say the lunch combos are some of the best Indian food I've eaten.

I drive down the hill I even have driven to Orange County for a good restaurant. There are not many good restaurants here. Malhi is one of the best in the AV. Love their decor and I love the dishes here. I've come during lunch and dinner and I've never been disappointed. Service is great and so is the food.

Great flavors! Definitely order ahead because they get busy. We usually go with the chicken tikka and chicken masala

I typically order from the location in Lancaster however I could not wait till 5 o'clock so I ordered the chicken tiki masala and the lamb palak, garlic naan andmango lassi. The fresh herbs brought pure flavor to both dishes. I will order again

We had a large group of 10 and everyone was delighted with their meal, including the vegans! Service is very good, they are all gentlemen and handsome too. It's a nice restaurant as far as interior goes, not stuffy, but nice. I've been there many times. They never disappoint! I love the Biriyani myself.

It was really my first time trying Indian food and I can't believe I waited so long! My daughter convinced me to try it and now I'm hooked. The waiter was amazing and suggested a few new things since we go at least once a week now! Great experience, highly recommend!

I love coming to this restaurant! Great food, great service! I haven't been to the Palmdale location. The Lancaster location has a great ambiance. Lighting is just right and the food is always great!

Wonderful meal. We came over to eat some of our favorite foods. We like their lentil soup which comes gratis at lunchtime only. And then we ordered a favorite appetizer that Mr. Picky just loves which is Chat Papari. It's so yummy and there's nothing else quite like it. It's a dish made with crunchy fried chips, a little bit of potato and garbanzo beans and then all finished off with a wonderful combination of yogurt and sweet tamarind sauce. So it's a sweet and savory start to the meal and Mr. Picky absolutely loves it, so much so that I felt compelled to sacrifice and push my last small serving to him across the table in order to enhance his happiness. The next thing we ordered was the delicious Mango Garlic Sesame Naan with extra mango chutney. Because it's worthy of attention, we ate just that one item by itself before ordering the main meal. Finally we got around to ordering our favorite entrees. We both like Tikka Masala dishes which are house specialties and he always orders the chicken version while I think the lamb version is exceptional! We don't like the dessert options, we'll stop somewhere else for that, but the aforementioned menu is what you should try sometime, companied by the fabulous Mango Lassi drink and some Punjabi tea. A real delight!!!

Great ambiance and simply delicious. Highly recommend the samosas and butter chicken in combination with the self served sauces that elevate the dish.

OMG it was all so perfect. Lentil soup starter was delicious with a fresh coriander finish. The curry chicken was ridiculously tender with the right level of heat and a nice kick of cumin. The daal was very nice as well. I'm glad they were so generous with the naan. Saved me the indignity of licking the plate

Worst food I have ever eaten!! The grill fish came out sizzling with stinky smell! It was very old and it didn't make any difference to the restaurant staff when I commented!! Never recommend here!!

Love this place. Always a must stop when on the area. Great food, great service, always fast. Always gotten for take out but restaurant is always busy and appears clean when picking up food.

Very good food. It does take a while to come out, but when it comes it is boiling hot and fresh. Very good flavor and quality. Recommend the tika misala. Very filling as well:. The naan bread is an additional charge, but you get a lot of bread in my opinion.

Delicious Indian food! Malhi's Indian Cuisine is conveniently located in an area with a ton of shops, restaurants, and commerce. It's to the right of Popeye's. Ordered togo and the food was ready when promised. The garlic naan and spicy garlic naans were huge pieces with great flavor. The basmati rice was fragrant and was perfect for the fish curry I ordered. I couldn't believe the generous amount of fish in the curry! It has such great flavor with the perfect amount of spice. I can't tell what type of fish it was...most likely a standard white fish. Great service and friendly employees. I will definitely be back the next time I'm in this area! Thanks!

The service was great and the ambiance, very clean restaurant. The food was good, we ended up paying 117 for three plates and three drinks. I don't think it was worth 30 dollars a plate, personally. The lamb was a little rough but the actual curry was good. I really enjoyed the samosas as well and the tamarind jam sauce. The tandoori chicken didn't have much flavor, more pigmentation than anything. Overall, good to try new things just pricey.

After running a few errands, Wifey & I decided to stop by " MALHI'S " for a quick lunch today. I had my usual lunch special " ** Curry Lamb **, Garbanzos Beans, White Rice, Garlic Naan , with a side of Riata. And a Large " TAJ MAHAL BEER " to wash everything down.. We both enjoyed our meals... My favorite Indian restaurant with the best Indian food! We no longer live nearby so I don't get to eat this as much as I would like, but since my husband still works in the area I make him pick it up on his way home every once in a while. Everything on the menu is delicious... seriously! When you ask for it hot, they make it hot! I love my spice and they do not disappoint! We once ordered our food "Indian hot" and it took me an entire week to eat everything because it was so spicy.. delicious, but dangerously spicy! Needless to say, we haven't ordered it that spicy again but sometimes I'm tempted. The restaurant is located near Chick fil' A in a large shopping center. There is always plenty of parking and we are always seated immediately when dining in. They offer lunch specials at a great price and you get a nice serving of food. Their mango lassi is my favorite and they have a wide variety of naan to choose from as well, all of them good. I definitely suggest this restaurant if you are in the mood for amazing Indian food!

We were here in Palmdale to visit LA and see other attractions. It was raining and we thought about having Indian food. The service is good and the food too but the baingan bharta didn't taste like it and similarly the Srilankan chicken curry didn't taste like one either. I have to say that any kind of biriyani (chicken/vegetable), is not worth eating here. The naan, is good but the chaat papdi that I was looking forward to eating but was a disappointment. There's no papdi and the yogurt has cheese too. If you have eaten a good chaat papdi then you will cry looking at this one. I was very disappointed and the rest was just to finish off dinner. For vegetarians, there's an option called mock chicken which is actually not meat. One of our friends used the restroom and said good I went after eating the food so you can imagine. I will not recommend this place but if you have no choice then trying out their cooking is not bad just don't have in mind that you will get to eat a good biriyani or baingan bharta or so. It's all as per the chef's choice.

Very authentic and the food is very delicious! My husband and I usually get the masalas and chicken curry dishes. Perfect for those days you want something saucy! The heat levels are mild, medium, hot, and Indian hot. Get Indian hot for that beautifully baked and super heightened spicy flavor! It burns soo good. Eat with some naan and rice to help cool down. Their mango lassi is also delightful- tart, sweet enough and very rich in flavor. Service is quick and attentive. I love that the restaurant smells like incense and peppers lol

Still as good as ever. We went on a Monday evening with a party of 4 and it was a very good experience. We had Samosas and Spicy Shrimp as appetizers and they were great. We had a couple Vindaloos and a Tikka Masala and they were also excellent. Indian Hot puts some hair on your chest and the flavor was awesome. Great service as well, always happy to provide separate checks. Make sure to visit Malhi's when you are int the area.

Took mom and dad to try some stuff out while I was visiting. They wanted us to order them some yummy dishes so here's the synopsis review from some first timers. Mango lassis and tea were delicious starters. Samosas both types meat and veggie - red and green sauce are good, mom just a dab of green it was spicy. - both like meat samosa a lot Raita - refreshing. it's okay. Take it or leave it. - mom liked it on saag paneer Curries were delicious - Dads Ranked 1 Chicken curry (Sri Lankan) 2 Lamb vindaloo 3 Mushroom Masala 4 Saag Paneer - Mom ranked 1 Chicken curry (Sri Lankan) 2 Saag Paneer 3 Lamb vindaloo 4 Mushroom Masala Mixed Tandoor - amazing sizzling plate of meats. Mom's Indian fajitas. So good. - Will order every time. Service was fantastic! Very patient and attentive. Gave us a tea to go without prompting. Wish we lived closer to eat here often, as avid Indian food lovers, the saag paneer here was incredible!

Awesome food,great service. Even when busy they seem to manage with a smile. Rakesh the host/waiter, is fast, efficient, and cares about those he serves. The restaurant vibe, and music increase the dining experience. Working in medicine, I can appreciate the attention to detail and the cleanliness of the establishment. I need to refute a comment that was said by a patron. This place has rarely been short staffed as it was yesterday. The workers are a collective lot that act as family while working as a team to get orders out accurately. As in all businesses there are days when things are beyond your control and things get forgotten. I'd say to that person ...if a business has a waiting time of an hour, or something is forgotten because they are short staffed, stop and think of your worst day in life, and give them a little grace.

I drive from Gorman CA had an extremely disappointing experience at malhis The waitress was rude and disrespectful, displaying a complete lack of professionalism. On top of that, it took an excruciatingly long hour for our food to arrive. The overall service was abysmal, and I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a pleasant dining experience. This picture below is the gentlemen that was awfully rude towards me and my family.

Never ate ANYTHING here I didn't absolutely love. From the lentil porridge appetizer with warm Indian tea to the Curry chicken. I love it all.

Food was good but service was bad never again would rather take the drive to Los Angeles. The server was rude talked to me like I owed him money the whole time made my guest uncomfortable . Waited 30 min to get a water on the table food took close to an hour completely unacceptable asked him when food was coming he said he will get to us when he gets to us super unprofessional

It's good chicken curry. I live in Nevada, but when I come here, I eat there. Priced well, and portion size is perfect. It smells so good.

Ordered at this place for the first time today and was very pleased with our order. Every order comes with a full pint of Indian style basmati rice (cooked to perfect fluff with cumin seeds!). Naan was perfectly fluffy and chewy. Chicken Tikka Masala was deliciously creamy and flavorful. The Karahi also didn't skimp on meat at all despite lamb being more pricy. The sauces were super tasty as well. We ordered them both at a medium spice level but they weren't spicy at all so maybe next time we'll ask for it spicy. I do wish the samosas were cooked with a bit more crunch on the outside and a bit more filling on the inside but we still loved it. I felt like it could use a bit more flavor based on other samosas we've tried before. All in all, great new Indian place for us to order takeout here in Palmdale. Super happy we found this place, we'll definitely be back :)

So, my personal rating idea is dividing the stars among flavors (2 stars), service (2 stars) and experience (1 star). This place might be right on the flavors but service is not their strong suite. Me and my family drove like 40 minutes out of the way coming back from Vegas to try this nicely reviewed restaurant and had some good expectations. It literally felt like this business is unprofessional in respecting the order in which someone orders. With such simple order with no customizations we had to literally wait to get our oder when everyone who came long after us were already half way through their dinner. 1. We ordered 2 appetizer 1 medium hot for the kids and the second one hot but both of them were hot. 2. We were served the plates and silverware only for 2 when there were 3 of us and then came another wait session for that 3. Then we ordered a Garlic Naan and a Kulcha. Well we were never served the naan At All even after reminding that we have got the Kulcha but not the Naan. 4. Just because the spice level was messed up my son (5 yrs) wanted to eat just the plain rice with some butter, so I requested for some butter if available, don't care if they had charged for it. But, there came another wait session. After about 20 minutes and my son being hungry getting fussy I asked the servers about our request for butter and I was told " Oh yeah I asked in the kitchen they don't have any butter" Now my friends 2 things here : A. Who would let us know if you had already asked in the kitchen B. I need an explanation for, How on the earth you have multiple items in the menu that says Makhani and Butter in their names in your menu without butter being available????? This is funny, frustrating and stupid!! I hope someone puts in real reviews other than me that are not deceiving

The food was spectacular and service was as well. Can't wait to return to the area and eat here again.
