Amazing place to stay. Read some of the reviews and can't believe how some people are so ignorant with their comments. We first stepped foot on property and was ready to open our door to our apartment. Wasn't sure what to expect but as soon as we opened the door, both my wife and I were overwhelmed by what we saw. A beautiful one bedroom apartment in frickin malibu, as close to the ocean as possible, right off THE pacific coast highway. A very modern, well kept, clean as clean can be, awesome one bedroom apartment with full kitchen, dining room and living room. Super impressed and way more then what we expected. Especially for the price we paid and what we get. Booked 4 days and have 1 more day left and will be sad to leave. Beautiful huge deck with a awesome view of the ocean even though you don't have a ocean view apartment. You can set on deck and admire the ocean and all it's glory up close and personal. Or you can walk thru the gate and walk down the stairs to the beach itself and walk directly in the ocean if you want. Crazy awesome. A beautiful place to stay in malibu, on the ocean front, with access to a private beach and everything in proximity to your own paradise just within a minutes walk. This is my new place to stay when I come to Cali. So impressed and highly recommend. Can't wait to come back.

This place was amazing. We celebrated our honeymoon in Dec 2023. We stayed in the apartment facing the ocean. It was our own private paradise. Waves crashing under us. Felt like we were on a boat. You can see the sunrise and the sunset from your own balcony. There are great restaurants in town and beaches to visit and walk along the water. The apartment has great character. Highly recommend!!

Wish I could give ZERO stars. I tried booking this place through booking and even though the policy said no pay until 30 days before stay (which is not for MONTHS) - they INSTANTLY tried to charge my credit card over $400. And after days of this cancelled my reservation and told Booking there was nothing they could do. I even called them myself and Alberto (who claims to be the assistant but suspiciously no manager is ever present) HUNG up on me when I inquired about why they would charge my card before the stay. They told Booking that first it was a deposit or that it was just an authorization. What business do you know that places a $300+ hold on your card to make sure it works. Do not waste your time. You can rent a whole house and save coins and a headache dealing with this scam artist.

This place is a fraud. I went there to check-in. There is no check-in counter, so I call the number I had. The person on the phone, whom I called three times, eventually told me there was no booking under my name. Therefore, I left and urgently made a booking elsewhere (in Santa Monica). Then, a few minutes after I had gone, I have received booking instructions for the place. Via email and text message. Again, I was gone because they told me that there was no booking under my name. When receiving my Amex statement recently, I realized that they had charged me a full night for no show. And they told the broker (Booking), whom I complained to, that they had let me know the check-in instructions in advance. I have the whole trail of this fraudulent activity, minute per minute. Stay away!

I booked this apartment through AirBnB as a place to stay for our engagement/proposal weekend. I proposed at Moonshadows Malibu and this apartment was literally less than 10 minutes away, and the apartment we rented was absolutely PERFECT! The doors opened up and faced the beach, we woke up at 6 am and watched the sunrise over the ocean! We would love to stay here again and I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a romantic getaway with your significant others!

STAY AWAY FROM THESE SCAM ARTISTS. YOUVE BEEN WARNED. BOOK SOMEWHERE ELSE AND AVOID THE HEADACHES. THEY DID NOT CARE THAT THEY CANCELED MY ANNIVERSARY PLANS. The worst customer service ever. I booked a room early in the morning on January 10, 2021 through Expedia and about an hour later, I received this message out of nowhere. "This reservation was cancelled by the property at your request. This cancellation is not subject to cancellation fees or other charges and you will receive a full refund." I called the property and spoke with Alberto. I told him I did not request a cancellation and asked him what was going on. He told me that there was a mix up with another guest with the same name that requested a cancellation due to COVID and that they accidentally canceled me instead. I asked Alberto to fix it by rebooking me and honoring the price since he had just admitted to making the error and he told me to rebook. Well, that is where the problem lies. I got the room for $195 and when I went to rebook, they jacked up the price to $319. When I relayed this to Alberto, he said he could not do anything because Expedia sets the price. I reminded him it was their error and that something needed to be done. He said he needed to speak with a manager and would call me back. Well he never did. Moreover, when I called him back, he blocked my number. I called from another number and he hung up on me and blocked that number as well. I got through to him from a third number and he said the manager was not there and this was 3 hours later. I called back 5 hours later and he said he was on the other line with Expedia and would call me back but never did. This behavior is highly unprofessional and the action of canceling my reservation so that they could resell it for more money is immoral and unethical. Refusing to help me even after they admitted to making the mistake is the icing on the cake and just all around BAD BUSINESS. I’m 100% sure there was no booking error. They just canceled me to make more money. Malibu Beach Paradise Apartments has ZERO INTEGRITY. Check out this conversation I had with Expedia through chat. Had a (prepaid) confirmed booking for 3 nights but there was no appartment available. And nobody except a cleaning lady on site. Some manager on the telephone had Expedia fix the issue (which they did perfectly). Did not make an organized impression

Drab and some what dated. Nice location, very Central. To share a experience: 10:45 pm Sunday night. Management decides that it's a perfect time to install internet wiring in unit above. Drilling, pounding and flashlights shining in the window. Now 12 am, I get up and speak to the group of mouth breathers ,and also call the management. Who I think was one of the 3 sub 80 IQ workers. The manager states he will get it taken care of and then promptly turns off his phone. Noise continues until 2-2:30 AM. Just terrific! Sounds of waves drowned out by PCH traffic. If you plan on going on a 3 day METH bender, this is your place. If you are looking for a relaxing vacation spot it would be wise to look elsewhere. Also be warned unit C which was roped off as private and unit E? Have ocean views from the rooms. The other units have spectacular veiws of parking lots, peeling paint and decay.

I stayed in August of 2018 & I'm from Pittsburgh PA & it was the best money I've spent on a vacation spot. Right on the beach, apartment was modern & there was only 1 other couple there in a room next to us & they were an older couple. From the reviews I'm reading some of these people sound extremely spoiled. You. Are. Right. On. The. Beach. In Malibu. With a gated door with your own code off the pacific coast highway. Maybe I got lucky with the other people who stayed who didn't bother us but yes there are other apartments in the same building. Have a drink, relax, & enjoy the views & private apartment. Look up the cliff & see the mansions. It was awesome.

This place is a bit of a dump.. stay at your own risk. Bait and switch company with false advertising. Deck is not from your apartment and is actually blocked off as "private property". Not clean... You can expect to come home with all types of bug bites and potentially still bugs in your things. Not worth it, save yourself the headache. Multiple reviews state the same thing, and they continue to try to blame the guests for the bug infestation. The staff attitude is rude and dismissive.

Amazing little find. Wasn't sure what to expect from the reviews but when we got there couldn't be happier. The place was exactly as advertised, clean, upgraded and they view is spectacular. They provided everything needed for a nice weekend get away. The heat didn't work but that was the only thing I could say bad about this place and why I didn't give it 5 stars. Will definitely be back

We booked these accommodations as they were right on the beach and very affordable. We wanted a place to stay where our 3.5 yr old son and 2 yr old daughter could play safely and this place is ideal! The place is older - looks like it was built in the 50's, but they owner has fixed it up very nicely. There are two levels, we stayed in #D. There is dedicated parking on site with a secure gate. Your room also has a security code you need to use to access the room. There's also a security gate to access the beach. So we felt very safe and that the car was secure. The property managers overseeing the place are wonderful. They provided detailed instructions on how to access the property and the Wi-Fi password. The units are sweet. Ours was a simple one bedroom / one bath with a full kitchen, eating area and living room. We let the property managers know ahead of time that we needed a cot for our son and a pack-n-play for our daughter which were all made up when we arrived. We stayed in the bedroom which had a queen size bed. We would like to apologize to the folks who were staying below us. It seems the floors are a wee bit thin and our daughter decided she wanted to trot rather than walk every where and my son wanted to jump from place to place on the hardwood floors. Think next time we will stay on the bottom floor out of consideration. The views are beautiful by the way - and you can walk to the pier from the room. Great central location!

Stay away from this property, they have the most inept property owner who completely destroyed our honeymoon, 3 weeks prior to our stay, they sent us an email (our booking was through Bookins.Com) stating that my credit card was invalid??? (Same credit card used for our deposit) this was very disturbing being that I have impeccable credit (800+ fico score) and over $10,000 available credit on that card... I called the property owner 4 times and calls went straight to voicemail, message left each time and also emailed them with no returned call. They abruptly canceled my reservation and refused to issue a refund... It took me having to file a complaint with my credit card company and with booking.com in order for me to get a refund... oddly enough, the refund was issued to the credit card that they stated was invalid... glad this nightmare is over..

We booked this place for a mini-moon since our original wedding had been cancelled by the venue. We still wanted to have a small trip when we saw these apartments view of ocean; we were quick to book through booking.com (another incompetent, unhelpful and unreliable agency! DONT USE!). We booked 2 nights; paid 50% of stay upfront. After that, owner was nowhere to be found. Would not answer or return phone calls nor respond to emails regarding upcoming. Then the ultimate shock; booking.com CANCELLED THE RESERVATION stating cc was invalid ! Mind you, they charged our cc 50% earlier with no issue! It was a mess! We are now disputing the 50% charges with both the agency and our cc company! DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS PROPERTY!

PLEASE I REPEAT PLEASE LISTEN TO THE REST OF THE REVIEWS!! I ignored them against my better judgement and quickly regretted it once I arrived. I planned a get away there for my boyfriends birthday. We drove 2 hours to this property with groceries just to find out when we arrived that there were already tenants staying there! I called the manager on the email which was absolutely no help. He stated that my reservation was canceled and not only did he not know why, but that there was nothing he could do because he's not the one who books the rooms, but also that there was no one else I could speak with to resolve the issue lol. I could not believe it! We spoke with the other guests and we figured out that we booked through Expedia and they booked through hotel.com. These SCAM ARTIST are so greedy, that they place their property on different sights to see where they could get the most money and then cancel at the last minute when they get more from the other site ! Please do not waist your time! My boyfriends birthday was ruined and all my groceries spoiled! This property should be SHUT DOWN!

We actually stayed at this place about a week ago so the experience is unfortunately still fresh in memory! Best things first. The "complex" is on the beach so depending on your luck you have a 1 in 3 shot at a getting a room that actually overlooks the beach (3 in each of the two floors). Access to the beach is great and definitely worth the price if the place was bearable. Coming to the actual accommodation, when we entered the place we were assaulted by the smell of what was a combination of cleaning bleach and cigarette smoke. I know cigarette smoke when I smell it! When we called the hotel for help we were just met with "oh rooms are non-smoking room, we will let the manager know" and that was it. Even leaving all windows open for about 4 hours to air out the smell didnt do much to help. Our kids ended up having a head ache from the smell but hey atleast it is great character building. Thank god it was only for a night. Unfortunately we had booked the place on Priceline.com (bookings.com) and it looks like just having a "no refunds" label on ToC is enough to get away with a room that does not even meet a minimum bar. Buyer definitely beware as ratings dont help much. Looks like either they suppress all negative reviews towards the bottom or they just weigh the rating on the location over the condition of the place since even reviews with negative descriptions somehow scored a high rating. How this place which is priced at $199 qualifies for an additional $150 hotel fee when it had no benefits of a hotel is another matter all together.

This is an amazing place to get away. The staff is nice. I would totally recommend this beautiful place. Great for a romantic getaway and wonderful for a family vacation. One of the best in California.

What a dump! Renter beware! There are so many problems with this place that I'm just not going to have the time I need to document them all. First things first - the advertisements on Expedia and hotels.com are misleading. The pictures that are presented are 99.9% NOT what you will end up with. Those ocean views? Not where we stayed. That ocean deck - it's not a deck with a view of the ocean as one would think. It's a deck that goes down to pavement that leads to a path that goes to the ocean. The unit we stayed in was "remodeled" recently - that's what we were told. Funny thing about that - the blinds literally fell off one of the windows and the AC unit, which management insisted was working the night before, was dead - it was a fan. Stifling hot in the place and despite the fact that we contacted them about the problem, they couldn't send someone out to take a look until the next day. Mind you, this place is $400+ a night. Are you kidding me? Amenities that hotels provide (e.g., a hairdryer) weren't available so we had to run out and get one. Again, this place is a D-U-M-P. You've been warned - stay away.
