Google
One of my favorite brunch spots. I’ve been here several times over the years and it still remains a favorite. The food is consistently great, the service always friendly and helpful in making suggestions or accommodating our requests. A yummy menu with several options from decadent French toast to yogurt granola bowl. No need for a reservation on weekday mornings. Lots of seating in this open air restaurant on Newport Harbor with beautiful views. Be sure to check out the juice bar and shop too! Paid parking on the street and in the parking structure.

I came all the way from Montreal to try Malibu Farm Lido, and it was absolutely worth it. I ordered the lobster roll, and it was incredible — fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. Easily one of the best I’ve ever had. The setting makes the experience even more special. You get a super nice view of the marina, and eating right next to the yachts creates a calm, classy atmosphere that you won’t forget. The staff is super friendly, welcoming, and really adds to the overall experience. From the food to the views to the service, everything was perfect. Highly recommend this spot — a must-visit if you’re in the area!

Google
Very vibey and food is great! I had my crab roll and watermelon margarita for Brunch! i'm coming back because of the ambiance, helpful and friendly staff! Shoutout to Bryan for helping me with my order and choices and for being so accomodating! Love the place now!

Google
food was pretty average and definitely not refined. The atmosphere itself was nice and ok, but the service left a lot to be desired and the worst part was the host, who was extremely rude. I did think the dog food section on the menu was a cute touch. We tried the lemonade, latte, grapefruit mimosa, a burger (just okay), and the Swedish mini pancakes. The pancakes were basically mini crepes topped with regular blueberries and whipped cream: nothing special and definitely not worth the price.

Google
Great service and atmosphere, the banana matcha drink is amazing and definitely the highlight of the meal. I ordered lobster roll which could have been better in my opinion. The portion of the food is mediocre and the lobster tastes a bit bland. Besides there are some lobster shells mixed in with the meat which gives a feeling that the kitchen didn’t fully pay attention when preparing the food. Other than that pretty good experience overall.

Google
Love the fresh, farm to table food. The options on this menu check all my boxes (having read the book Good Energy and really focusing on whole food ingredients without refined grains, sugars and seed oils.) Not to mention the views are absolutely stunning and the service is top notch. I think about this place often and recommend it to anyone looking for a healthier option with incredible ambiance.

Google
I’ve been to Malibu Farm Lido a few times and the food never disappoints — always fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with quality ingredients, which is something I really value when dining out. Unfortunately, the service during my recent visit was below average. It was disappointing, especially considering you’re not just paying for the food but the whole experience. Our servers didn’t seem too friendly or attentive, which may have been due to our party size (we were five with a child), but still, it shouldn’t have affected the service. The location is beautiful though — definitely one of the highlights. After your meal, it’s nice to take a walk around the area and enjoy the waterfront views.

Google
fresh and tasty food right along the newport dock. our server was great, knowledgeable and quick. they have a plentiful and diverse menu. my girlfriend got the chicken sandwich which she enjoyed; i got the baked coconut french toast which was very tasty for a late brunch

Sandra Z.

Yelp
The good: our waitress was kind and helpful. The bad: the food. As soon as I finished my dish, I got a stomachache (and I never do). Also, the hostess never even smiled, and her and other staff had a bit of an attitude. So.... We won't be coming back.

Emily I.

Yelp
The service was super nice and efficient, and the food was amazing! I got the fried egg sandwich which comes with a runny yolk, arugula, and a lemon aioli that is sooo good. If you get a table outside you get a great view of the harbor with all of the yachts which makes for great ambiance.

Ryan S.

Yelp
Gavin was soooo great! Extensive knowledge of the menu and his recommendation for the fish tacos was fantastic! Definitely coming back

Yelp
Every time I'm in the area, I have to make a quick stop! No matter what I'm craving, Malibu Farm has it! Definitely a must try and the ambience is so romantic

Yelp
I'd give Malibu Lido Farm a solid 4 out of 5. The food felt very Californian. Fresh, clean and tasty. Portions were on the smaller side but the flavors made up for it. The fish tacos were good, the ceviche was a 10 out of 10, and the cauliflower pizza was a hit too. Overall it was a great experience. The ambiance is beautiful and the location is unbeatable. I would definitely come back.

Yelp
Perfect outdoor brunch: shaded and great views. Saturday morning brunch: no wait time at all around 10am! They don't take brunch reservations but we walked in and were seated immediately, even asked for an outdoor table. Food and coffees were good. Preston, our server, was super friendly and attentive. Overall great experience and I will definitely be back.

Yelp
Met family here for a Sunday lunch in October (late review, I know). Despite the wait, the service and food were great! The appetizer portions were enough for 4 to share and the entree portions are generous. It was a beautiful view to enjoy fresh food. It can be a bit crowded and noisy during the wait, but once you're seated it's easy to drift into savoring the delicious food. Friendly staff and exceptional service.
google avatar

Camille Q.

Yelp
A cute little brunch spot by the marina. The ambiance was nice and cozy. A bit chilly but they had heaters outside. The servers were often available and food came out quickly. We had the Burger, Nachos, Baked Coconut French Toast, Green Eggs and Ham, and the immunity shots flight. We enjoyed the food and had a good time.
google avatar

Yelp
We love this Malibu Farm location! Especially on a nice sunny day! Summer is over but it's still very nice here. We love the ambiance! This time I got the fried egg sandwich. It came with sides of sweet potato which I enjoyed with my refreshing iced tea. Service today isn't as good! We had to flag and wait for the waiter for a while and had to ask the busboy eventually for hot sauce. However, still not bad! Will of course be back on another good sunny day, summer or not!

Yelp
We went in for an early lunch at Malibu Farm. The food was great, but the service was absolutely amazing. Preston was just a pleasure, a young man with plenty of experience , he knew everything on the menu and was able to give us great food recommendations. His smile and energy made our day:)
google avatar

Kaia H.

Yelp
Went again for brunch and got the Swedish pancakes + the surfers rancheros and it was pretty good! The real star of the show was our server Noey!! She is so sweet and tentative. She's the reason for the 5 star update instead of the 4. Gorgeous view from the outside btw I would def recommend for boat and dog watching!

Yelp
Food, breakfast, lunch, dinner. We had the breakfast egg sandwich. Good. Came with sweet potato fries. Service - good Ambiance - well this is Newport Beach so good. Verdict - yes, try it. Nice and chill.

Yelp
Food: 5/5 Cleanliness: 4.5/5 (it's a slightly open area so pigeons are around, not a huge deal) Service: 5/5 We've been to Malibu Farm in San Diego and loved it, so we had to try the Newport location. The Lido area is beautiful. It reminded us of Lido Island in Venice with its clean, coastal vibe. We parked in the nearby structure (validate for $5!) and walked right in before 5 PM on a Friday with no wait. My husband had the fish tacos and thought they were delicious. I had the burrata salad with added tofu. I loved the pomegranate and pears, super fresh and filling. We also ordered the crab cakes and saw some reviews say they're small, but we thought they were just right and even added an extra one. Our server Preston was knowledgeable, attentive and very kind. His timing was perfect to check up on us and we appreciated the convo! Drinks were great too! The banana matcha hit the spot and my husband's Mexican Stone lager was refreshing. Left full, happy and already planning to come back!

Yelp
Noey was incredible, she was so knowledgeable about the menu, made the best recommendations and helped us with another reservation. Definitely definitely recommend!
google avatar

Yelp
Preston did a wonderful job helping us out today! Also recommending sitting outside and they have umbrellas in case it's sunny.
google avatar

Sheryl L.

Yelp
Had an amazing brunch! I got the green eggs and ham and it was so yummy. Preston was a super friendly and attentive server. They are very good about attending to dietary restrictions.

Yelp
You know you're going to be eating good whenever you go to Malibu Farm Lido. Unfortunately, parking is a little tricky with the crowded parking garage nearby, but the restaurant does validate so our parking fee for 2 hours was only $7. There are a lot of cute (but expensive) shops nearby if you want to walk around after a filling meal. The outdoor seating was perfect and comfortable, with the lovely view of the harbor. Kids will enjoy watching the boats pass by. I ordered the DIY branzino fish tacos. Such a creative idea! The branzino was nice and crispy and the tortillas tasted like they were freshly made. I do like the concept, but there's something about already assembled tacos that are appealing (and less messy) as well. The Newport Nachos appetizer was a hit for the table! It came out 5 min after we ordered and was gone in literally 2 min, would definitely recommend. Overall, would 100% recommend this place for a nice dinner by the water without breaking the bank.
google avatar

Mike N.

Yelp
The wait staff was very nice and accommodating! I got my food to go but the decor is really nice! My wife got the gluten free crab cakes and I got the tortilla salad. It was absolutely delicious!

Yelp
I've been coming here for nearly 10 years, and they've never disappointed me. The staff is always friendly and quick with their service, no matter the time of day or how busy it gets. The view is, of course, beautiful. Most importantly, the food is consistently delicious. I've been hooked on their nachos with added steak since my very first visit, and I've also really enjoyed their vegan curry, burgers and the DIY fish tacos along with their seasonal cocktails. On my most recent visit, our waitress, Miss Taylor (apologies if I'm misspelling her name), was incredibly kind, attentive, and genuinely pleasant to talk to. I mentioned it was our anniversary, and after we finished our meal, she surprised us with complimentary chocolate ice cream. It was such a thoughtful touch that made our evening even more special. My only regret is I've only written one review for them, with pictures of my nearly finished food, but I had to bring the receipts for this review. I've brought friends and family from all over to this spot. This place isn't just worth trying, it's worth finding reasons to come back.

Yelp
It was my first time at the Lido Marina Village and I wanted to try dining in at the Malibu Farm Lido that I'd kind of had my sights on for over a year. Despite it being a rather chilly day and even the indoor seating actually being semi-outdoor seating and outdoor seating being semi-indoor seating, I warmed up as soon as I started eating the awesome Mustard Breaded Chicken Sandwich, which had an absolutely perfect chicken, but was definitely needing more of the lemon aioli that was listed as the first ingredient in the sandwich. The little potatoes that came with the sandwich were nicely herbed and tasted great. The little salad that also came with the sandwich, however, had absolutely no dressing whatsoever and I couldn't really eat much of it due to the fact that it was utterly lacking in flavor and meaning. The servers and hosts were all great and super accommodating! They validate parking for the Lido Marina Village garage so that it's free for up to two hours, I believe. There's a little store next to the restaurant that sells some merchandise and related food items, but the price points were not something I'd really consider for what the items were at a more fundamental level (e.g., $65 for a Malibu Farm hoodie, $32 for a bottle of their marinated oil, etc.). The ambiance right by the water and lots of boats was really neat, and the air was super fresh and calming for my health. I'd be inclined to come back for future visits, but will probably try something new!

Yelp
This place is pretty good. I love that everything is healthy! In regards to a sweet treat, the almond ice cream was AMAZING. Highly recommend it. The only experience i had that was poor was the service at the bar. They werent really nice there and she barely checked on us, we ended up getting like three drinks in total then dipped because we felt uncomfortable. Lol we were the only customers in there too.

Yelp
This is a really cool place to dine for lunch out at the Newport Peninsula, Lido area. What a beautiful location with the outdoor seating and water behind you. Many of the store owners had recommended this place when we were seeking lunch, even from Balboa Island. So we had to check it out. Our waitress, Lisa, was simply great, and made our dining experience worth it. She helped us pick our items, was extremely attentive, and just an overall great waitress. We ordered the chicken ricotta bacon burger which came with mashed potatoes and salad. It was a house made chicken patti on a brioche bun with lots of seasoning. To me, this was actually just average. I guess I am more of a grilled chicken fan. It was okay, but not great. The mashed potatoes were amazing! I did not like the salad at all for some reason. My friend got the lido beef burger which came as well with mashed potatoes and salad. She thought the burger was pretty good, but not quite epic. She loved the mashed potatoes and the salad. The burger had havarti cheese, marinated onion, and I believe tomatoes. The iced tea was great for both of us. I think I had 4 glasses. The view and seating amazing. The wait at around noon on Sunday was very short, and again Lisa was wonderful. So, a somewhat mixed review. I do plan to go back and try a different entrée. Overall for me 4 stars based on location, service, and fun. A bit let of a let down on the food. Good, not great.

Yelp
Came here post-yoga on a Saturday with the girls, fully expecting to wait 45 minutes while hangry and in athleisure--but plot twist: we got seated upstairs right away with a dreamy waterfront view. Either the brunch gods were looking out for us, or everyone else was still in savasana. Malibu Farm is basically where aesthetics and avocado toast go to thrive. The drinks? A full-on wellness flex. Matcha, lattes, smoothies--if it can be milked, blended, or made photogenic, it's probably on the menu. We ordered the huevos rancheros (spicy, satisfying, would eat again), the mini pancakes (adorable and actually filling??), and the turkey bacon sandwich (solid choice, tasted like a health-conscious hug). Everything was deliciously clean-tasting... and yes, it took a hot minute to come out, but it gave us extra time to take selfies and pretend we live this balanced lifestyle every day. Is it overpriced? Of course. But you're in Newport Beach eating breakfast next to yachts--if you expected a bargain, that's on you. Overall: A vibey spot for a bougie brunch with a side of ocean breeze and influencer energy. Will definitely be back post-pilates.

Yelp
My eyes are gazed upon a row of yachts parked and glistening under the sun, piercing through the beautifully endless California blue sky. Instantly a most important thought thunder-bolted through my mind. "How many hours and broken marriages does it take to own one of those?" Quickly I was interrupted by a voice saying "What would you like to drink?" Back to reality! I was gazing out of the open wall of Malibu Farm Lido's dining room. Out through that opening was the row of yachts with the blue waters as its backdrop. I didn't miss a beat and answered the voice asking me what I'd like to drink. "PB NANA OLD FASHION PLEASE," I replied. Then I went ahead and ordered the ceviche for an appetizer, along with the branzino fish tacos. Lobster roll? Breakfast burrito? Lobster Mac n Cheese? They will all disappoint you, if you've ever tasted the branzino fish tacos. But! We are all different and to each their own. The drinks were stiff and the breeze through the opening was soothing. There are far worse establishments one might find themselves for lunch. Stay seeking my friends....

Yelp
Malibu Farm is situated right in Lido Marina Village, a cute boutiquey plaza of restaurants and stores. Food was overpriced and mediocre. Lobster rolls was $34 (which is outrageous for quality and quantity of food). It was soggy and had more mayonnaise than lobster. Also got the crab cakes which were tiny, the miso salmon was overly salty, and the salad was wilted. The only thing that actually tasted good was the mash potatoes. I got the watermelon cocktail, which was watered down and weak, tasted more like watermelon infused water. Service was great, our server is nice and attentive. The view here is hard to beat so I recommend coming during daytime.
google avatar

Katya Z.

Yelp
I would say the food is a 3.5 but the view alone bumps it to a 4. The setting is absolutely gorgeous! It's so nice being right on the water. It's in the Lido area so definitely use the parking structure and get it validated at the Malibu Farm Lido shop to the right of the restaurant afterwards. I got the açai bowl which was a good portion. I always worry with bougie Newport places like this that the portions are small haha. It was definitely a good amount! The açai was fresh and I loved the granola on it. I also got the banana matcha - it was good but I wish there was some banana flavor also added to the matcha because I wish it was just a tad sweeter. My partner got the mini pancakes and we loved these! The fruit jam/sauce it came with was delectable. We would definitely get these again. He also got scrambled eggs and chicken sausage. These were standard and were good. I didn't love the flavor of the chicken sausage - it wasn't as savory as I liked. The place is just super busy so sometimes the waiter doesn't come around as often as you'd like but we did come on a busy day! They were super nice and helpful when they did come over. This is a spot I usually take people who are visiting from out of town because the food is pretty good and the views are even better!

Yelp
My husband and I came to Malibu Farm for lunch at the end of May on a Sunday. It was a lovely day and the restaurant was pretty busy, so we didn't get seated immediately. They took our number and told us we'd have about a 15-30 minute wait, so we walked around the area while waiting. When we got back, we went to the host booth to tell them that our table was ready, and they took us up to their upstairs dining area, which I was frankly quite glad for. The upstairs dining area was a small room that overlooked the water. It was quiet and not crazy packed like the downstairs section. Our waitress seated us at a high-top table and they didn't mind that our small dog was just laying on my lap throughout the meal. The service was attentive and efficient, and we always had everything we needed when we needed it. My husband got the lobster roll with sweet potato fries, while I had the cauliflower crust pizza. My cauliflower pizza was a good gluten free option and just half of it was filling enough for me. My husband thought his lobster roll was okay. I think we both had high expectations for this place considering the original is very popular. This wouldn't be my first choice to eat lunch at again if I'm in the area, but it would be a good choice for people looking for a healthier meal in the area.

Yelp
Noey was awesome, food was world class! Great ambiance, location has a great vibe on the water.

Yelp
This is a great setting for a brunch date with your man or your girlies. Right on the dock at lido and the inside of the restaurant blends out to the open part so it's nice and airy with a beachy vibe. The nachos were so good I'd definitely order again with steak. The spicy chicken burger was flavorful but I would probably try something else. The lido burger was also a solid burger. Ig:@rachiesayang

Yelp
Always solid - great place for healthy but good food. A tab bit on the pricey side but typical for this area and for high quality food. Love that they have a good selection of non-alcoholic (and alcholic) drinks. Primarily plant based but do have some proteins too like crab in the crab cakes and chicken. Indoor and outdoor seating - pretty much all with a view. Inside seats are nicer and comfier than the hard picnic tables on the outside - just FYI.
google avatar

Lauren M.

Yelp
The biggest appeal to this restaurant is definitely its location, it's right on the water which makes it extremely picturesque. The food was good, nothing to write home about, but I thought the Korean short rib was especially good.
google avatar

Yelp
Great location awesome service by Gavin Branzino taco is the right way to go . Great view of the bay

Yelp
Overpriced? Check Delicious? Check Beautiful staff? Check Gorgeous ambience? Check Disgustingly fresh food that makes everything rainbows, butterflies and coughing unicorns?! CHECKKKKKKKK I don't think you can go wrong ordering anything. I've NEVER had taro chips fried so fresh! So glad I can't work in this kitchen or I'll be SO FAT.
google avatar

Yelp
The experience is unbeatable!!! Right here in lido on the bay it is beautiful! My wife and I got lucky as there was a 25 minute wait however the couch seating by the bar is first come first serve so we sat right away! We had plenty of space to park the stroller also! We started with the espresso martini for her and I got a mango special drink both phenomenal! And we kept it simple and split the burger, let me say THE BEEF SHINES THRU. I told my wife "don't let me forget the beef shines thru" it is very nice! A bed of mixed greens and tomato give it a fresh garden taste and the bun is excellently done brioche slightly toasted. This is a great spot for a date or quick stop in while down in Newport!

Yelp
My dining partner and I came here for the first time. We started off with a sangria and a glass of Sauvignon Blanc. We then went straight to the entrées. My companion had coconut curry which she loved. I went for the salmon nicoise salad, which was huge and extremely flavorful. We ended with two scoops of ice cream. Gorgeous setting. Beautiful view. Tables are not so close together so you have some privacy. Our server Noey was fantastic -- very friendly and informative. I will be back. There are many many entrées I plan to try. Not to mention cocktails!

Bryan A.

Yelp
Super tasty food, loved all three plates we got. The superfood latte felt like a fancy hot chocolate, delicious! Service was friendly and solid. Loved sitting outside next to the boats.
google avatar

Patricia B.

Yelp
My go to spot whenever family and friends are visiting me in the OC. My favorite things to get are the B.L.T. Caesar salad and an Iced Strawberry Matcha Latte. I also always recommend getting the Newport Nachos since they're so so tasty too. The prices may be a bit on the pricer side, but the food is filling and worth it. The service is always great and the views of this restaurant are amazing. I love sitting by the water on a nice day (but be prepared if it's toooo sunny!). They don't take any reservations during the day, but the wait is usually 0-20 minutes when I go on weekends/weekdays, so it's not bad.
google avatar

Nora C.

Yelp
Delicious food! Organic, clean and Noey was attentive and super friendly. Everything we ordered was amazing specially the green eggs and toast.
google avatar

Tricia G.

Yelp
We just had breakfast at Malibu farm in Newport and Piotr was our server. Food was excellent - fried egg sandwich, bloody Mary... and amazing hospitality. I see a high bar for customer service and he exceeded it! Ask for him if you go. Sitting on the water, made for a very peaceful Sunday morning breakfast.!

Yelp
Malibu Farm in Newport Beach is such a gem by the water! We started with their vibrant nachos--loaded with colorful peppers, melty cheese, and a touch of creaminess. They were the perfect mix of fun and comfort food. Then came the ceviche-style dish, served with taro chips and a hint of mango purée--bright, refreshing, and packed with tropical flavors that tasted like sunshine in a bowl. For something a little heartier, I had the salmon with greens and their famous pink pickled egg--fresh, clean, and beautifully balanced. The atmosphere is relaxed yet chic, with that breezy coastal vibe that makes you want to stay all afternoon. If you're looking for farm-fresh food with a view, Malibu Farm is the place to be.
google avatar

Salma Z.

Yelp
Malibu Farms does not disappoint. I went with my girlfriends for the first time & we had the best time. Staff is 100% friendly, accommodating & absolutely wonderful. We felt so welcomed. They have fresh cold pressed juices! The food is delicious. My favorite was the fried egg sandwich. It hit the spot! Will be back to try all the juices. Last time, I got the watermelon!

Yelp
I was visiting family in Newport Coast and this is a local spot for them. The location is beatiful as its right on the dock/water. Parking can be hard depending- they do have street parking and also garage parking. They do validate parking if you remember to bring your ticket. Everything here is farm to table- local and fresh. They even have a dog menu- many people who live here take their dogs everywhere. If you see a stroller 75% chance its a dog. They also have an ice cream place right next door that you can also order in the restaurant. I didn't want a full entree so I decided to get the nachos and asked for extra cheese on the side. The top layer was great but the chip to topping ratio was off. The bottom got soggy and had too many beans. We also got Coconut curry with shrimp and one with chicken. Both were fantastic and one person couldnt have refined sugar- our server checked the recipe to let us know that no sugar is added whatsoever. I probably would get something else next time, but I did love the location and clean local ingredients. Overall experience 4/5
google avatar

Leeann M.

Yelp
Rating more for ambiance and setting than food. Food was fine, but we wouldn't get the same items again. We would go back to try something else, though. The best part of the evening was sitting outside on the water. So peaceful and a great view. Server was friendly and accommodating. Plus Lido Village is a nice little shopping center. Perfect date night.

Yelp
Noey was the best! She super sweet and made us feel so comfortable like we were at home. Food was delicious! Amazing time celebrating a graduation.

Yelp
A trendy beachside spot with gorgeous views of the marina. The food was fresh and came out quickly, while the staff were very friendly and attentive.

Yelp
Food and atmosphere amazing! First time here, our server Noey was very knowledgeable, friendly, and took great care of us! We ordered the lobster roll, branzino, lobster Mac, nachos with added steak, and crab cakes definitely would recommend for anyone looking for fresh seafood!

Yelp
Thank you Noey for your insight on the menu & great recommendations! Awesome service from her & the rest of the staff. Love the location right on the water. Super fresh ceviche and delicious drinks too!

Yelp
I've heard a lot of hype about this place, but it didn't live up to expectations. There are definitely better spots in the area. I wanted to order the chicken sandwich, but they were out of it. No big deal, I thought, maybe they care about quality and run out occasionally. Then I tried to order a Coke, only to find they were out of that too. At this point, I started to realize there's more of an inventory issue than a quality one. I ended up getting the fish tacos. The fish was decent, the tortillas were really flimsy, and the food quality just didn't seem to hold up. We went around 3:30 PM, just before lunch ended at 4, and it felt like the food wasn't prepared with care for the late hour. I'm giving this place three stars because our waiter was wonderful, he was incredibly friendly and attentive. Unfortunately, the rest of the experience didn't match that level of service.
