"COVID-19 Update: Open every Sunday. The Malibu Farmers Market is a low-key operation—so low-key, that it hasn’t yet made it on the radar of LA’s Sunday farmers market crowd. Actually, its compact size is what makes the experience so enjoyable. Set up in the local library parking lot, within walking distance of the Country Mart, this is where you’ll find the freshest seasonal produce, driven in from local organic farmers that morning, pastry and snacks by small family owned businesses, and the prettiest just-picked flowers. Best of all, there’s usually plenty of parking. COVID-19 Disclaimer: We are working hard to keep our listings as up to date as possible (deliveries, outdoor dining, etc.), but given the evolving nature of local COVID-19 restrictions, we recommend double-checking the information in this guide with any business you plan on visiting. Also, please note that we have not vetted any businesses listed within our guides for their compliance with applicable safety regulations."

I’ve attended the market for years, and it’s the only market that truly feels like a community gathering. The food is always delicious, and the farmers fruits and vegetables are the freshest around. It was really nice that the market stayed open during the fires, giving us locals a place to come together and support each other.

I heard that this is open only on weekends. This market has lot of venders selling different kind of items. There were some handmade items like made some crafts from jeans. They were looking pretty. There were some vender selling foods, different kind of mushrooms etc. We visited this place on Sunday unexpectedly. We visited Legacy Park there we found this. We tried some Mexican herbal teas from Vender shop named Nantli which were amazing. From the vender shop named Belen we had many pastries like medovik, almond cake, some cottage cheese sweet. All were amazing. We loved Medovik (Russian Honey cake) a lot.

The Malibu Farmers Market is truly one of a kind. It’s more than a market—it’s a community filled with amazing vendors and a heart for helping animal rescues. I had the life-changing experience of adopting the most perfect puppy here, something I never would have found without their efforts to support rescues. From fresh, organic produce to unique handcrafted goods, everything here is exceptional. If you’re looking for a market with heart and purpose, this is the place to be. Highly recommend!

Malibu Famers Market Free Entry Free Parking Free Samples Parking: Parking is easy. There is plenty of parking spaces located directly out front. Entry: Free entry. You do not need a ticket and there is no one standing at the entrance. You can come and go as you please. Free Samples: The first sample I tried was a plant-based hot chocolate made with Almond milk, agave and cacao from Peru and Costa Rica. It was thick and delicious. The stand was called MsPerception “Plant medicine for a better you.” The person who gave me the hot chocolate was kind, informative and answered ALL of my questions. He explained that it has natural caffeine that does not stimulate the nervous system but instead opens the heart and gives energy through a different pathway in the body. The next sample I tried was a tea made from microgreens. Microgreens are the baby plants that have not yet formed into the vegetable. They are packed with vitamins. They take the baby plants, dehydrate them, turn them into a powder and then you can use that to make tea, sprinkle on pizza or add to any recipe for a nutrient-dense meal. The tea was made with water, agave and the powder. It had a sweet, earthy flavor. Crafts: There were beautiful books with the pages turned into art, old film encased in resin, vintage clothing, turkish towels, crystals turned into bottle openers and more! The produce is grown locally and organic. These vendors are passionate about their produce and have a wealth of knowledge to share. I love the malibu farmers market.

Google
I recently visited the Malibu Farmers Market, and from the moment I arrived, I was struck by the aesthetics of the location The market offers a fantastic selection of fresh, organic produce, artisanal goods, and delicious prepared foods. I could not resist picking up some vibrant fruits and vegetables, freshly baked bread, and even a handcrafted piece of jewelry! The vendors were so friendly and passionate about their products, which made the experience even better. What truly stood out was the lively and welcoming atmosphere. There’s live music by a beautiful vocalist Ingrid Yael Jensen, plenty of space to relax and unwind, and even pet-friendly accommodations so you can bring your furry friends along. It’s more than just a market—it’s a community gathering spot filled with positive energy.

I always look forward to spending Sunday mornings at the Malibu Farmers Market. The food and fresh produce is top notch. I love it when we have the farm animals and adoptions there. Thank you Malibu Farmera Market for always being in our community.

Long time Malibu local who's been consistently attending for years! One of the best local community events with some of the most outstanding food items from any market.

Yelp
I love this farmers market! Very different from other ones and once a month they have amazing art, clothes, and jewelry! I highly recommend coming out to Malibu and making a day out of it!

Yelp
Have been coming here for years and it's now a staple of our lives. I have my "must visit" vendors who I patron nearly weekly. Shout out to Yallatizer for the their divine kefir! The produce is amazing (mostly Central Valley, some SLO), and there are so many great vendors here. We get fresh baked bread, honey, delicious nuts, amazing dog treats, hummus and chickpeas chips, and if my husband is craving some sugar he's always eager for the baked good stands outrageously amazing almond filled croissant. The crepes here too are delicious. And my God their quiche is insanely good! Always happy to grab a latte here and I've even bought a gorgeous house plant here. My prayer plant. I adore it. This farmers market is the best IMO. I love it. It may not be the biggest but it's quality here.

Yelp
The last time visiting the Malibu market was on the tail "end" of covid restrictions. At that point we were still wearing mask and the vendors had to provide you their products. Customers could not review and pick their own produce. As of yesterday, I experience a very different situation. No longer are restrictions in place. One restriction that I miss is the distance apart the vendors were from each other. When visting on a Sunday around noon, the mark was very busy and the walkway between vendors were tights- only two person wide between the vendors on both sides of the aisles. I wish they put the vendors across the aisle further apart so you can walk with your group- and people going the other direction had room too! Despite being overly crowded, there were some solid vendors at this market. Its nice to see vendors who actually own the produce they sell! And vendors who can tell you about their products. They had a vendor who just sold grapes- and the grapes tasted like cotton candy, pineapple and other items. Another vegetable vendor was able to tell you how to prepare vegetable they solid. And there was a vendor that solid products were rose in it. He told us all about his products and what they could be used for. Plus there were vendors who were selling food. We also appreciated the singer. She was very good at singing a lot of fun songs.

Yelp
We rode motorcycles in the area and we saw signs for the farmers market and decided to stop by. I'm so glad we did. Parking was plentiful. Very nice friendly vendors. We tried food from 3 different vendors and they were all delicious. Other vendors had great looking food too but we were too full. We plan to come back and try the other vendors though. I thought the prices were very reasonable. Nice selection of vegetables that look so fresh, fresh eggs, beautiful flowers and there was a dog rescue with a few gorgeous looking dogs looking for forever homes. Wish I can take them all home with me!!

Yelp
Super cute experience if u like going to farmers markets. It's pretty small but it's a vibe. It's mostly food but there's an adoption center at the end with really cute dogs.
google avatar

Marjo G.

Yelp
Lots of options for fresh, organic produce. Also has lots of food stands so you can purchase your lunch there or take it to-go for later! They also have a live singer and a limited section of tables and chairs to enjoy your morning shopping. :) Definitely recommend stopping the the bakery stands and grabbing a few pastries. There is a free parking lot on a dirt/grassy area. Easily walkable and navigable market since it's one long strip.

Yelp
Lovely live music and some interesting selections of sellers. The farmers had a unique selection of veggies! Fun stop for my first visit to the area, post a hike at Escondido Falls in the vicinity!

Yelp
It's social, safe, tasty, fresh, fashionable,Celebrity worthy tantalizing, &!delicious Great spot for star spotting. Fresh foods from everywhere. Shawarma , seafood, coffees, pastries. I purchased shrimp last week. Large size not seen locally. Premium products are available here. Sundays! I'm here twice a month minimum!!

Yelp
I hate to say this but I watched and witnessed the same toxic energy that other reviewers have mentioned about a certain person who is very aggressive toward the vendors. Just came right up to the booth while I was standing there and started verbally assaulting the vendor in front of me. Completely disrespectful toward the vendor and me.

Yelp
Super cute and chill Farmers Market! Will be back for the next one! Loving the handmade products

Yelp
Went to the malibu farmer's market today on a whim and was pleasantly surprised, a nice mellow crowd of classy people were walking back and forth and there was also some sort of a dog-cuddling station that was getting a lot of attention. It reminded me HA! of the tribble creatures on Star Trek that the crew couldn't stop petting. Same thing.

Yelp
Great vibe, Great Food! I look forward to Sundays for a visit to the market where there's fresh fruits and vegetables and so much good prepared food as well. Music, tables, trees lined street all makes it a delight

Yelp
Great vendors, terrible management. Rude and unprofessional. It's a shame the vendors have to put up with such nonsense.
google avatar

Samantha H.

Yelp
Such a bad experience, there's a giant gorgeous golden retriever that you're not allowed to let your dog next to you, my dog was friendly another dog who is aggressive is allowed to just lay in the middle and they made me feel ostracized, totally rude yelled at me and I'm the one with a friendly dog. Bad selection of meats great selections of bakery but I will never ever come back I felt attacked they were rude snobby and unhelpful. And I can't believe the girl behind the counter yelled at me because my dog was sitting next to the door quietly' I guess I'll just stay in Huntington Beach

Yelp
Some amazing, talented and kind vendors at this market and in a great location, but the manager is abusive to the vendors and I have witnessed her stealing on multiple occasions from them while they had stepped away from their booth. She often reaches into booths for food without asking in an unsanitary manner as well. Coming here and seeing other negative reviews is no surprise to me. A quick search for the market manager details brought me to this, also unsurprising. https://chng.it/m7NtL44tNZ

Yelp
0 STARS DO NOT VENDOR HERE or SUPPORT, the person who facilitates/co founder of the farmers market is absolutely crazy, unkind and harasses vendors over the dumbest things. She forces other vendors to compensate to HER needs to make HER look good yet half of these people attending and buying from the farmers market could give two sh*** about the way a a certain product is placed. I came to assist a group only a couple of times and as soon as she walks away everybody is annoyed and frustrated with her. I recommend walking around and asking the vendors yourself first, they are there because it's definitely a place to receive some earnings from YOUR products, but at the cost of someone breathing behind your back and telling YOU how to run YOUR business. If you or a Vendor have witnessed her being unprofessional and seen her lunatic behaviors I recommend reporting her right now @ CEO.malibu.org There's a certain way to be direct with people and still get respect, and that's certainly not how you do it.

Yelp
The last time I went to this market must have been about 3 years ago. Since then, some of the vendors have gone, others remain while new ones are now on the scene. There's a larger amount of prepared food now and more boutique type items, too. One end of the market has the prepared section while the other has the fruits and veggies. Honestly, compared to a few of the other markets in the area, this one does not have many farmers. I really wish it had more, that's why I come. Parking is plentiful if you arrive early and it's free. There's a nice little walking park right across the street, too. Oh, I saw several people with dogs on leash, which I haven't seen at other markets. As far as coming back, it will be a while, maybe in time more farmers will return, then so will I.

Yelp
I love coming to the farmers market on Sundays! I switch off which ones I go to but I mainly come to this one for the green Martinas Hot Sauce. If you like limey cilantro salsa you will love this . I also love the tamales and croissants! I recommend taking your food to the beach for a picnic !

Yelp
Much bigger than you might think, there are some really interesting and somewhat exotic vendors at this farmer's market. Word must have gotten out that people have a bit more spending money in Malibu! So if you are looking for things like honeycomb, cheese from Italy, flavored balsamic vinegar and oil, or sage-flavored hummus and pita chips, then this is your place. Of course they have several fresh produce stalls there as well, all of which had some pretty amazing looking fruit and veggies when I dropped by. There are also a few food vendors there that can cook up a tasty brunch or lunch on the go. Despite all of the exciting things this market has to offer, the atmosphere is calm and relaxing. The nice thing about Malibu is that it has managed to retain its out-of-the-way, small-town atmosphere and this market fits right in, where it is held in the parking lot of the old city hall building. The market is not too small but not too large either, with about 25-40 stalls. Another great thing about modern technology is that most all of the vendors take credit and debit cards, so the days of "cash only" farmer's markets are in the past. Unfortunately this also comes with the danger of spending waaaaay too much on small but tasty luxuries. Either way if you are in the area or live nearby, dropping by here on a Sunday is a no-brainer. Five stars!

Yelp
If you are Australian or Kiwi or Canadian or Fijian or a citizen of the United Kingdom and/or one of the Commonwealth and you're fiending for a good meat or dessert pie..... Crustees is the place: Beef, chili, chicken, shepherd's meat pies. Cherry, double berry, chocolate, peach and other dessert pies. Addicting. So good you'll wanna run home and slap your grandma. I've bought those pies for all the famous English living in Malibu: Singer Z____ S_____, actress P______ P_______ and actress J______ L______ They're the second booth from the east end, ocean side. Try them. No kidding.

Yelp
5 stars because of the vendors are amazing. Alas I have to take off 2 stars because of the manager Debra. SHE IS ALWAYS SO RUDE! I am appalled at the way she treats the customers and vendors. Sadly numerous vendors have left and refuse to come back. I don't blame them. Sadly I will have to go to the Pacific Palisades one just to avoid her.

Yelp
It was a nice time today. MFM is a cozi farmers market. They have just the right amount of variety to walk away satisfied. Live music and a handful of food booths with tables and chairs to relax. Lots of parking. The canyon drive back to the valley was a breeze. I'll be back next Sunday!

Yelp
Good sized Farmers Market in Malibu. We headed there one late Summer Sunday we spent at nearby Point Dume. There are a lot of organic growers selling their fruit & vegetables as well as other items like nuts, honey, etc. I bought pistachios from one vendor and beef jerky from another. The purchase of the beef jerky actually helped out a child in need. I thought that was awesome... There are plenty of other vendors worth checking out. Those were just the 2 I made purchases from. Our favorite at the Malibu Farmers Market is the Thai bbq vendor GAIGAN Thai Street Food & Sauces. Their food is so tasty. It was a welcome surprise as we were making our rounds. I like thai bbq chicken, their pad thai (shrimp or vegetarian) and their hot sauce. They make & bottle their own hot sauces. Definitely check them out.. So good.

Yelp
Love love love! This market! So many fresh veggies and fruit. Also so happy they're starting to reopen their Malibu Café and serving hot food again! So many goodies everywhere, I love coming here on Sundays! Also if you're worried about parking, they just got a new parking lot next door with TONS of space!

Yelp
I have been a Farmers market fan for decades, appreciating the values that a FM Stands for, and any chance I get to support a family owned non-corporation ; I'll take it! I have visited many FM throughout the greater Los Angeles area.MALIBU FARMERS MARKETbeing my favorite. It has a boutique, foodie, eclectic, earthy, healthy, yummy, family vibe. This market has many unique vendors that I have never seen in any other markets. They used to have a magician that was so awesome, that I actually cried when I found out she took some time to do another project. It is so beautiful to be by the beach and buy produce that is grown locally. It feels great to support the non corporate farming community and seeing the same faces every Sunday I feel a sense of family . The lady who runs the market reminds me of an atmosphere model. She is always out and about chatting to customers and making sure the vendors are a solid group. This market represents Malibu perfectly, and I am grateful to call "my Sunday food shopping place." If I started mentioning all my favorite vendors I'd be up until sunrise! If you're into being healthy, want to feel good , love beautiful fresh flowers, find the beach peaceful , and enjoy discovery check out Malibu Farmers Market!! You'll thank me for this review.

Yelp
My favorite Farmer's Market to visit in my local area. The Malibu Market definitely has the most curated assortment of goods I've ever seen at a farmer's market and you can really tell that each vendor was handpicked to be there. My favorite thing to get is fresh fruits and veg and I love their crepes vendor!! They'll even have local Malibu artists there again this weekend who come in and make paintings right in front of your eyes. It was an amazing sight to see.

Yelp
Great little farmers market definitely worth checking out. Fresh fruits and veggies, seafoods and ready made dips and salsas - we collected enough little treats for a self catered night in Malibu. The Turkish treats/ biscuits are a must...... I am only sorry I can't remember his name to give you - but look for the pretty packaging and bags. We left with guacamole and corn chips, fish and salsa and loads of fruit. It was a great experience!
google avatar

Yelp
Wow this farmer's market blew my mind and I've been to many especially living in San Diego where we have one every day of the week. I bought fresh macadamia nuts, gluten free oatmeal and cranberry cookies, fresh mulberries that I had never had before, wildflower honey, Fuji apples, hummus, and homemade tortilla chips! All vendors have samples and are extremely friendly and knowledgeable with their products. A fun band and lunch vendors are there too. I was highly impressed and wish they were all closer to me as we stopped on our drive dowm the coast. All take Square too in case you don't have any cash.
google avatar

Ita O.

Yelp
I've been going for many years but the vendors come and go so quickly because the management is unkind. I've literally found 2 of the vendors crying because management made them so upset. They've all complained but asked me to not say anything because they knew she'd be even meaner to them. I mean this is insane! There are not many farmers. There are some chefs selling their pre-made goods. Which is really good but I'd like more veggies and fruit. It could be so amazing because Malibuites are coming at the but for an awesome farmers' market.
google avatar

Christine Y.

Yelp
I love coming here on Sunday! Parking is easy. Have a lot of good vendors. I fell in love with these cakes so good! Lots of fresh veggies, and lots of other health options as the Malibu farmers market too!
google avatar

Manya N.

Yelp
Great location. Amazing view. So so food. Drinkable cocktails. Little pricy for amount of food you will get. But then again this is Malibu. Staff need more training.
google avatar

Zac D.

Yelp
The farmers market consists of about 5 hot food stands, including one with boba tea. They have various types of fries, Mediterranean food, sausages, bbq chcken and roasted corn. The milk tea boba ($3.75) was pretty bland, chicken shawarma plate ($10) was pretty good but the falafel is bland ($6). The rest of the market is a lot of produce, two booths with hummus and dips, some honey and bread booths among others. There is a really good mini bundt cake booth also. The farmers market really needs to have booths with FARMERS. As in, fresh eggs, etc.But overall pretty good.
google avatar

Dalia F.

Yelp
I came to Malibu for the day and stopped at this farmer's market after a nice lunch out with friends. Parking was great and free so that was a plus but the actual farmer's market was pretty small. There were free samples which were yum. Beware that the fruit is not cheap- but that's the price you pay for organic delicious fruits and veggies I guess. If you're in the neighborhood, why not stop by- just don't expect too much.
google avatar

Sujey P.

Yelp
This farmer's market is great! I have been coming here for years and I have found it to be a nice Sunday activity in the 'bu. The vendors are extremely friendly and are generous with samples. The market seems to be about 40% fruit and veggie vendors and 60% ready to eat food (dried fruit, nuts, hummus, deserts). I have heard many great things about the tamales, so I'll have to try them. The Livia's Kitchen booth is fantastic! Their vegan cookies are delicious and the guy that works there is the sweetest! Overall, a solid farmer's market with a nice family environment.
google avatar

Sharon Y.

Yelp
Additional info: almost don't want to mention this because I want there to always be some left for me, but you have to try the Thai food :))))) best chicken i have ever had in my lifetime. Malibu is the perfect spot for a farmers market. And just like the rest of the vibe in Malibu, this farmers market is more of the same. Relaxed people who have already won the rat race, mill around the well organized and set up marketplace. The vendors are friendly, not too pushy and happiness and friendliness wash back and forth like the swells rolling up and down the shores close by.
google avatar

Karla T.

Yelp
I was passing through Malibu and bumped into this humble little Farmers Market. The people there were very sweet and helpful. The produce was so good and very fresh and amazing products. I purchase Italian goods, fresh pasta and mozzarella, WOW I LOVED IT and the kids did too. If you are driving to Malibu on a Sunday, to go to the beach or the wineries, I recommend to leave early in the morning and stop at the FM. Buy your food and produce to eat in the car and grab breakfast the coffee was good too.

Yelp
Great farmers market wish it was a little bigger but great for a quick little walk and some brunch
google avatar

Clarisa W.

Yelp
Such a good farmers market. We recently went on the premise that there must be allot of local mom & pop farms in the Malibu hills and a bit further north that would sell their produce here. It was worth the drive, such a great selection of super fresh produce that had flavor and tasted like real vegetables as opposed to the vegetables that we buy at super markets that has become bland and lacks taste. It is a great drive out and close to the village to have coffee and shop a little after. Love this farmers market, we will be going back allot.
google avatar

Jeri K.

Yelp
We loved everything about this Farmers Market but took off one star due to the lack of coffee. It would have been really great to have a full-service coffee bar, kiosk or cart.
google avatar

Darren M.

Yelp
Nice farmers market located inside the Country Mart next to the library is a great place to pick up fresh local produce, baked goods and other specialties! It's not huge but a great place to stroll through on a Sunday. Vendors are friendly and not pushy. Could be expanded to accomodate more vendors!

Yelp
I attended the Malibu Farmers Market yesterday, a sunny Sunday. Having never even heard of this farmers market, we decided to stop by after having breakfast at Coogie's. When we saw what the food vendor's side offered we wished we hadn't just spent money and stomach-space on ordinary omelettes.Sausages and shoestring fries sounded great. However, we were going to be about and about for the afternoon so we picked up a couple of apples and a large pretzel to share later. The pretzel tastes like those at the Hofbrauhaus and all the baked goods looked delectable in general. And then it hit us. On the way out we noticed a few people had been drinking a fresh-squeezed pineapple and orange juice mix out of pineapples and we HAD To have one. Sat around drinking those in the sunlight, and they were delicious - 20 minutes of fun for $5 is not bad for Malibu. Anyway, I'm not the hugest Organic-nazi. It's definitely preferable, but locally grown produce appeals much more to me. It's great to have varied, native foods sold in Malibu, especially when the sellers are a bit aggressive about offering you their samples. For the size and location, the MFM gets a solid four stars.
google avatar

Sonj H.

Yelp
Great little Farmer's Market with tasty breakfast items at the end. Vendors are terrific. Check out the Bolani's (sp?), nice produce option, not my favorite organic produce, lots of yummy things but not the largest selection.

Yelp
Love this charming market! Our Sunday ritual. The vegan cookies from Livia's kitchen are a must! Many celebrity sightings if you're into that.

Yelp
This was an amazing farmer's market I've gone too. Such a lovely experience, so happy we stumbled across it on our weekend trip to Malibu! The curry bowels were amazing (wish I could recall the name of the booth). Highly recommend visiting and go early so you can walk around without crowds.

Uday S.

Yelp
Many Art and crafts vendors had to quit Malibu Farmers Markets due to INAPPROPRIATE AND DISRESPECTFUL ATTITUDE TOWARDS Artists. Vendors are not happy with the current Market Manager the way she treats Vendors. She should be changed immediately if Ppls want to save Malibu Farmers Market.
google avatar

Yelp
Smells like weed in the parking lot and B.O. In the market... kinda turned my stomach to be honest. I'll stick to Whole Foods and Trader Joe's

Yelp
Simply a fabulous experience. From the oceanfront location to their wonderful farm to table fare, it is an all around delight!

Yelp
This is probably my favorite farmers market on the west coast now. Parking is convenient and is only a few minutes drive from Pepperdine or the beach. On first glance, it looks like any other farmers market, but as soon as you enter the tented areas you are surrounded by patio dining tables spread out so that people can actually sit down and enjoy the good food being served here. Flowers, fruits, colorful eggs, tamales, bbq, nuts, and a handful of other venders were available to our needs. The area is very clean and easy to get in and out of unlike a lot of other farmers market.

Yelp
Came here after surfing County Line this morning. Was with my surfing buddies. Breakfast selections were limited but we found plenty to eat. There were about 60 individual booths selling produce, pastries, bread, cheese, flowers, and spices. parking is abundant and free. There are tables set out to sit and eat and visit. Set up for Sundays and runs most of the year. They had a rock wall and a couple kids jumpers for their entertainment. People here are freindly and we struck up nice converstaion with a few colorful charcaters. Thisn was a nice rest stop after surfing. Will be back next week for sure.
