The 14 Best New Restaurants in West Palm Beach and Palm Beach County | Eater Miami

"Eyal Shani, who began in Tel Aviv, and caused a sensation when he opened HaSalon in New York, where guests danced on tables, expanded to Miami, and in December opened a West Palm restaurant of marble, metal, and cement, with a sprawling patio. The main room is dominated by a bar that faces huge charcoal grills, and it’s pure theater watching chefs sear fish, meat, and produce, as well as whip up hummus from scratch. Most diners start with the Instagram-worthy plate of vibrantly colored crudites and crisp falafel called “Nostalgia of an Old City Mezze.” Other favorites include chicken schnitzel filled with mashed potatoes, carpaccios (both roast beef and charred beetroot), and roasted squash steaks." - Beth Landman

Celebrated my new job at Malka and couldn’t have picked a better spot! The ambience is clean and modern. Our server, Alejandro, was truly the best attentive, warm, and made the experience even more enjoyable. The food was excellent: the focaccia bread and hummus was outstanding, and the lamb kebabs and chicken schnitzel were both flavorful and perfectly prepared. As a kosher restaurant, Malka really sets the bar high. Highly recommend for anyone looking for great food, a welcoming atmosphere, and top-notch service!

Upscale kosher cuisine in a gorgeous space. Service is very attentive & friendly. The dishes on the menu can be “hit or miss”, but usually very, very good. (The “Fish Schwarma” was a major dud, but the appetizers were outstanding). Fun atmosphere with an open kitchen. Newly-built restaurant. Seating available both indoor & outdoor. Located minutes from central West Palm Beach, and 15 minutes drive from the beach. This seems to be the only kosher restaurant in West Palm Beach or Palm Beach itself.

I went here for a date night and it was absolutely perfect! The food was beyond words — every bite was incredible. The chefs and cooks truly know what they’re doing, and the service was just as outstanding. The whole vibe of the place is amazing, cozy yet lively, making it the perfect spot for a special evening. I honestly can’t wait to come back!

We went (4 of us) 2 weeks ago for a birthday. Was a very cool vibe in west palm. Service was very friendly (even sat at the table with us) our server gave us great recommendations. I recommend doing family style, it’s the best and easiest way. They cook the food to order so as soon as it’s ready they bring it to you. There’s no courses. Overall great experience. Will be back.

Malka: Another gem among glatt kosher restaurants. Classy and elegant, this is by far one of my favorites. The meat and assorted vegetables are exceptional—each bite will leave you wanting more. The maître d’, Itzhak, a charming gentleman from France, truly cares about his guests and ensures a memorable dining experience. Highly recommended.

I showed up to a dinner late. But the food I had was fantastic. Service was slow but my experience could have been unique so I wouldn’t judge the service based on my experience. However the food was great and atmosphere is just extraordinary. Well designed, well laid out for privacy and functionality and well situated off the main road with ample parking. The restaurant was packed late on a Tuesday night and the majority of the crowd did not seem to be there because it was a kosher restaurant, rather because it is a quality restaurant.

This is an absolutely beautiful restaurant. They really did an amazing job with the atmosphere. Truly feels like a modern chefs restaurant. The food is really good however for over $100 a person I don’t think it’s worth it. The food is very delicious and fresh however it was a bit of a red flag to me how everyone recommends their bread over everything. Furthermore, when they ask you if you want still or sparkling water and you say still they will automatically charge you $10 for a bottle of aqua panna. They really should tell you they’re charging you that for water. In addition, for over $100 a person im expecting that oh my god this is insane types of food tastings and it just didn’t have that. Don’t get me wrong the food is amazing but for $100+ a person it’s a bit of a ripoff. In my opinion, I’d rather go to Motek. Overall, delicious and fresh food but a bit of a ripoff if you ask me.

Food 2, Service 3 and atmosphere was 4. Great ambiance and vibe, but restaurant was very hot with the open kitchen and smoke. Very limited bar options, regarding mixed drinks. The drinks also weren't craft cocktails at all. Menu required explaining of what an item even was. The worst was that the food wasnt Very good. The hummus had no flavor, and literally comes Ala Carte. You have to then order bread that was basic focacia that didnt really go with the Hummus. The salad wasnt a salad it was presented like Chimichurri or a dipping sauce. The potato carpet, is truly one of the worse things ive ever had at a restaurant it was served like a thin crust pizza format with a beet sauce on top. The $130 Ribeye was bland. To add insult, with 3 drinks each and splitting the meal it was $415 bill for 2. I also noticed after the overcharged us for a drink we didn't have. This place has so much potential.

Yelp
2/2/25 Malka in WPB is the hottest new restaurant. It takes months to get a reservation. We came here as a small group for a birthday celebration. Our server, Alejandro, was excellent. Most of the food is brought out family style as it is ready so we shared: caramelized onion flatbread, charred beetroot carpaccio covered in horseradish snow, Nostalgia of old city mezze, a very Israeli Hummus, roasted potato carpet, pile of green beans, The most famous Malka Schnitzel, classic ribeye steak, spicy instruments, roasted potato carpet, eggplant lines, apple crumble, and assortment of wine, cocktails, and Diet Coke in glass bottles (the lemon wedge took a few requests). All the food was nicely presented, prepared fresh, and very appetizing. My favorites were the caramelized onion flatbread, charred beetroot carpaccio, Israeli hummus, classic ribeye steak, and green beans. Because the food is shared we got to try everything and the check was fair for what we ordered. Looking forward to returning, dining in the beautiful outdoor space, and trying some more of Malka's specialties.

Yelp
Was super excited to go to Malka. Unfortunately, it fell well short of my expectations. Ambiance is beautiful and drinks were well made; however, we're there for the food. Hummus: simplistic, yet good consistency. Lacked flavor but the green chiles from the eggplant dish I added helped to enhance the flavor profile. You have to order bread or you'll be eating it alone on a spoon. Bread - good, but the tahini they served it with was tasteless, so luckily we had the hummus. Israeli salad - refreshing, small portion, but can deal with that considering some other items weren't as flavorful and this salad at least was well prepared as is. Eggplant - one of the better dishes. Lamb chops - an absolute JOKE. Two small lamb chops, 2 ounces, and one of them was mostly fat. I honestly don't know how they can justify serving that for $46. I got two bites out of my chop, such a disappointment. Branzino - we got the one w the flame and this was the best thing for the night. This dish had the most flavor, and thought it was a nice piece of fish. All in all, there is really nothing I will crave to go back for. My friends visited the night before and pretty much gave the exact same review. For two people we spent $250 and left with room for more food and disappointed. Beautiful restaurant, but if you're going for the food I would not have high expectations.

Yelp
So lets be honest. Go for the ambiance and service. Both were really Divine. Just DO NOT eat. We had a large variety of their offerings. Sadly one was more disappointing than the next. The famed signature stuffed schnitzel was like eating a roof tile, thick tar paper cover in gravel. The Bronzino was way over cooked, removing any fish substrate . the hummus was served in an unadorned bowel covered in (?canned) chick peas, not a dipping carrot stick in sight. Finally and the worst for sure were the desserts. Apple crumble was mush spooned into a Petrie dish and the baklava was a mass of gooey chewy served in the same manner. What a resounding disappointment. If you want a good meal, eat a your Bubbie's. one star awarded for decor and one for service.
