Yelp
A great destination for small town hand-crafted treats, Mallard Ice Cream emanates whimsical, bold and fun flavors. The environment reminds me of going to a candy store and the staff oozes the same exuberant energy.
We've been here a few times, and if we lived in the area, this would definitely be a regular spot! Their mint oreo is my favorite, with a strong mint flavor. If you're not as big of fan of mint, then I wouldn't recommend getting this. My husband digs their coconut flake and the texture of the coconut is mixed in just right with the cream base. Their strawberry and lavender flavors are also done extremely well. In general, the consistency of the ice cream is full and dense. If you prefer airy ice cream, then this place is not for you.
I love how they have just enough flavors for the traditionalist and the adventurous. Most recently, I saw they had a Nerds candy flavor. If it's still on the menu during our next visit, I'll definitely try it out.
Pricing is fair at $3 for a full single scoop. They also offer half scoops if you have a smaller appetite. I typically get my ice cream in a cup for ease and minimal messes, but they do have a waffle cone that is popular.
They have now re-opened their interior space to accommodate the queue. 2 registers, and cash only. Masks are required and they provide plenty at the entrance. Hand sanitizer galore. Easy metered parking.
Overall, one of our favorite WA ice cream brands and a definite "treat" whenever we're in town. Highly recommend coming here and afterwards perusing their eclectic mix of music shops!
