Love the ambiance within the establishment, very cool vibe they have going on. The adult beverages are amazing and poured just right! The monster burger was incredible and the bang bang shrimp was great. However my wife's pasta dish really lacked flavor. Our server was very nice and helpful. Overall a great bar with some great drinks and solid food!

EXCELLENT FOOD. MUSIC BINGO WAS SO MUCH FUN! Our server LaKaiya was the absolute worst. The food here was wonderful. The fried pickles were fabulous! The Pizza is the best!’ We really enjoyed our selections! Our server was inattentive, nonresponsive to our minor asks for a knife or small plates for our appetizers! The beer selection was abysmal. Let’s see…. it’s April 06 and they still have lines with Green beer! We were excited to come here to eat and play music bingo but our server made our date night unpleasant ! I’d asked for a glass of ice 2-3 times before she remembered to bring it. I KNOW it’s a Saturday night but smile act interested. Disappointing service.

I ordered French onion soup and steak. The onion soup was delicious but the cheese on top was not fried enough, it was light and almost without a crust. The steak meat was so-so, I expected better, it tasted more like liver than steak. Overall, the place is not bad, the atmosphere is great and the waitresses are friendly and pleasant

This place is very cool and the food was amazing! I sat at a booth and it was the most comfortable seating I have ever sat at. The service is fast and Alissa is very attentive and does a great job! Recommend this place to everyone that gets within 50 miles, worth the drive. Thanks for all that you do! I almost forgot they have KENO and Tips!!!!!

One The best burger joints out. Man oh man love the food here strongly recommend. Wait staff is nice friendly and attentive. No complaints from me. Still haven't worked up the nerves for the 10lb burger challenge but I will one day if I'm feeling like a bottomless pit. Check them out nice place

Came across this place by chance and was very very pleased with all aspects. The place was busy from Thursday night football but not too loud or wild. Very enjoyable atmosphere and the wait staff were very friendly!!! Wanted to try soooo much food items and narrowed it down to.a burger and a PICKLE PIZZA! BOTH were very good choices and the pickle pizza was by far my favorite. Very difficult to describe but way exceeded my expectations. When you visit it is a must have. The staff really were the icing on the cake.....Ashley was my server and a pure heartwarming delight. If you arrive in Detroit this place is a definite must have and for sure try the pickle pizza you will be pleasantly surprised.

Today, we went to have my kids birthday at this place. FYI, my kids are 16-25 years old. We decided to have dinner around 6pm. Yes, it was very crowded but they gave us a good table. It’s a sports bar environment so there are plenty of tvs. The menu was decent. I really wanted the 10lbs burger but settled for the 3lbs burger. Most of my kids had steak. The salad was good. So was the chili. Lemonade drinks were also very good. My burger was simple but the meat was seasoned well so it taste good and juicy!! No complaints from anyone. Our server was also quick and attentive. I had high expectations. My hopes were not broken. I just wished the location was closer. This place beats Chilis and Apple bees hands down. Highly recommended!

Walk-in: Stood there while people that worked there looked at us and kept walking. No Acknowledgment whatsoever. HA! Someone finally comes along and seats us. When we sit down it take a moment for our food assistant to arrive but when she does we place our orders and wait. She come out and tells us that the first thing that King Lemonade ordered was unavailable. So when he found something else we waited. But my food came out before his 🙃. I thought she might have waited to get his order and place our meals together but... WHATEVER. The coleslaw wasn't good at all, but the burger was good minus the wilted lettuce. The Mexican pizza was good. Overall: Won't drive back out here for this service. They weren't very friendly. (But if you come out maybe the service will be better for you.) - @according2teau 👽 🦄

I definitely tore it up in here MEANING YUMMY!!!! Here's my statements CHICKEN NOODLE SOUP AND THE SALMON ENTREES! The service was quick and efficient then food was good and there was some entertainment going on with the dj picking people out from the tables! It was a great experience.

Horrible service. We had to wait forever to get checked on when we got there just to put in our orders. She grabbed drink orders from 2 people then just turned to go when there was still another wanting a drink. (There were only 4 at our table). Our food was awful. Cajun chicken sandwich is literally covered in powder seasoning and about as thin as a piece of paper. Same thing with the wrap. We asked for fries and got those orders messed up. One came out with onion rings. The other with the chips. The onion rings were burnt and tasteless. Chicken ranch wrap had no seasoning. The bbq burger tasted like taco seasoning. When we asked for our fries she didn't apologize or anything just said ok and turned around. In an hour and a half she came back 1 time to check on us. Waited 25 min after getting our food which we desperately needed water to wash down all the seasoning. I wanted a side of ranch for my fries and by the time I got it my fries were cold. Awful. Meanwhile I saw a bunch of their other waitresses constantly checking in and moving. Ours sat at the register the whole time.

I came here with my family last Sunday and I thought I was treated very professionally by my server and when the manager, Lauren came and checked on me she was extremely friendly and helpful I ordered a mixed drink to start followed by a pizza which were both very delicious I will definitely be back to Mallies!

The waitress was horrible, she never asked if we wanted refills, when asked about our food, she kept saying, just a second, it took 25 minutes for eight wings, and one burger. The wings were oily, not a lot of taste, the meat for the burger was fresh, but I've been here many times before and it's never been this bad. Come on Mallies do better!

Booked a Baby shower for my Granddaughter, it was for couples.... unfortunately, I was running late and by the time I had got there to set up for decorations & cake the staff had tables and ideas set forth so I was guided and given much help by staff, which took the stress off !!! Mallie's Food, impeccable service is 5 stars!!! Couldn't have asked for anything more!!! THANK YOU!!!! open Derrick/manager and the staff that made the whole celebration an extra wonderful experience with Great smiles and tremendous care!!!

Zero stars. Place was mediocre before. Thought we would give it a try again because it's been over a year. Worse menu. Even worse service. Burger that was ordered was tiny and chili cheese fries were regular chili so not sure how great their chili dog would be with that chili, which was also on menu. Broccoli side was unedible, both visually and literally.

Stopped in for lunch. Normally very good food. Today I sat for 40 minutes waiting for my food (only about two other tables occupied in the place). I was hammering away on my laptop so I really didn't mind the wait. The food finally came out and the cheese on top of the Chicken Monterey had clearly been sitting under a heat lamp and forgotten. I could also tell by the waitresses awkward demeanor when she brought the food out. Thought whatever, I'll save a few calories not eating the cheese, I really just wanted the chicken and bbq sauce. Second bite in I thought my tooth exploded, it was a small piece of metal/rock.. very small but enough to chip a tooth. I showed the waitress and I offered to pay for my meal, but she said I didn't owe anything. I doubt it was malicious, maybe a chip off a kitchen tool or badly sourced food.

When you walk in the place is big, beautiful and clean. We got seated right away and ordered our drinks, this is definitely a sports bar, a really good sports bar at that. We ordered the Glazed Brussel Sprouts and they were really good, they had a tangy sweet and sour taste,almost a teriyaki taste. It was really good. Then they brought our Caesar Salad & just by the looks of it, it was loaded with Caesar. It was amazing and every inch has had Caesar on it, I love a lot of dressing. Next I ordered the Spicy Cajun Burger, now, I usually like hot stuff but this burger knocked me on my butt with heat, it was VERY spicy, I give them 5 stars on burning my mouth cause they did a good job on that, I tasted jalapeños, ghost peppers and a lot of spicy flakes and seeds, it is an amazing burger. Everything here is always great from the beer, the food, the staff and the environment. You will never be disappointed at Mallies.

Terrible place. Parking lot will give you a flat tire! You may not even be able to get in if they are closed for not paying their electic bill. It's a sad sad place!!

Kaytlin was my server, and Deven was my bartender. Everything was wonderful. drinks were great service was wonderful. I can't wait to come back!!

visited 8/28/24. our server Alyssa was fantastic, she was warm and very friendly, she was on top of everything and knowledgeable of the menu and drinks. The manager Lauren stopped at the table to check on us and was very nice and professional, making sure we were taken care of. We had the mushroom swiss burger and tacos, they were cooked perfect! Great Job staff!!! The atmosphere was very energetic as well. We will definitely be going back.

The food was good, it was freshly prepared - and the portions were generous. I don't live far away and always wanted to visit. The waitstaff were friendly. I did not have to wait a long time for my carryout. I was pleased to see a turkey burger on the menu. I will order one the next time I come into the restaurant.............which will be soon. I ordered nachos today, along with a small "sampler" platter. I'm waiting to see my husbands' opinion of the food. If he and his co workers are in the area at lunchtime, I'm going to suggest they have lunch at Mallies. The ambiance is upbeat - booth or bar seating.

Slow service, I was told what food I ordered was not available, also the beer I ordered was out...... I ordered a burger and when it arrived it was cold and not as I ordered it. The waitress just shrugged and said nothing as she turned and walked away

Am in from out of town for a funeral. Ordered take out 03/16 around noon. When my husband walked in to pick up the food, employee was SITTING at the bar with either a customer having a beer or possibly another employee having a beer?! Either way, didn't bother to get up to assist my husband but rather proceeded by yelling over to him "are you picking up?" Confused, he said yes, she pointed and said "your food is over there." He was unsure if it was paid for, asked, and once again, she sat there and just yelled "yeah". I work in the industry and this blows my mind. SERIOUSLY? So unprofessional. & not just for a restaurant, for any place of business. Where is management?? Who runs this place??

I happen to run past this place while looking for a good fish option. I'm not from the area so have it a try. I had the calamari and was shocked... WOW! Very good! Nice tangy sauce and all!! Must try! I then had a choice between the beer battered and lightly battered fish. I went with beer battered as it was ok, but the gent next to me had the lighter fish and he said his was great! Nice people nice area, I would go again!

The food Isn't that good, subpar at best. the managers have no customer service skills and are rude, they like to harass the servers there.

Came in with a few for dinner. It was very empty inside which was nice to visit with friends and family. Noticed the music was quite loud, no big deal, it was dead they will turn it down since it is empty. To our Surprise was told by the manager that they could not turn the music down. Wow!!!! Won't be back there:((

I've came to Mallies a few times now so far everything I've tried has been so good but the New Orleans skillet is by far my favorite dish so far, we had Devin as our waitress and she was great, ever attentive and funny every time she came to the table she made sure that we had everything we needed. This place has huge tvs everywhere with every sport games you could think of . We will definitely be back.

Really like this Southgate sports bar. Cute chicks and the food has been really good. I stay nearby at the Hampton and it's a great oasis from Motown bustle while I'm in town for ships. Came here New Year's Eve with my friends after a red wings game and partied all night with the gals. We were last ones out except the dude that left his keys on the floor and car in the lot. Hey it happens. I wonder whatever happened. Today taco tue. U see I snapped a few pics. Soft shell tacos $2 were voluminous w ground beef and the traditional toppings. Very good! Still hungry I tried the chicken taco chili cup $4 and I loved it. Reminded me, the base anyway, of moms hamburger soup. But with pulled chicken. Really great. Really like this place. Never disappointed. I kinda look fwd to my Detroit trips to go here then hit some of the foodie joints (Lafayette coney, slows bbq & Gus chicken). Back to the hotel to watch 12 channels but last time was the Jesse stone marathon so

Date night - I needed somewhere in Southgate area to go to late after work date night and this was the perfect location. The food was FANTASTIC and the service was friendly. They have a large menu. We opted for pizza and beer with an appetizer of wings. Total bill was around $25+tip. The food was excellent. They have good parking. The food came out as expected and there was no rush feeling. It gave me time to visit with my date and enjoy the drinks and appetizer. They had a variety of music playing and several televisions to view - I can imagine this is a great place to bring a group for a get-together. They have a great specials menu and appear to be very family friendly, I would highly recommend for date night, family dinner/lunch, or group party.

Mallies is a sports bar so I expected mediocre bar food, and I was going to be ok with that However, it actually was super tasty! The gouda Mac and cheese with pulled pork was incredible. If it wouldn't have had the pulled pork, it wouldn't have been as good. But oh my gosh, was it delicious with the BBQ, crispy pulled pork mixed in. I go back and forth with liking Buffalo flavor, but I gotta say- that dip!!! So good! It was creamy and so yummy. The nachos were ok. I would prefer more variety of toppings. I will say they gave a lot of toppings though! I didn't feel cheated on meat or cheese. They did a good job covering the chips too. I wasn't a fan of the Mexican pizza. I have also never had one so I have nothing to compare it too. It was a lot of shell. Overall, it was good and I will be back.

deven and Kaytlin have made my day so much brighter. i've been here 2 times so far and they have made my experience so much better. i appreciate both of them.

This used to be our absolute favorite sit down pizza spot a couple years ago. They had steak specials and other daily specials that were great, their smoked gouda Mac with brisket or pulled pork, I don't remember, was AMAZING. We like to take advantage of their holiday gift card sales and had $200 to spend. We've been in 4 or 5 times since New Years. Every time was disappointing. The specials are gone, no steak. Now everything is really basic. Their wings don't come sauced which is nuts to me, and we've asked to have them sauced - they won't. We went 2 weeks in a row once and my kid likes the appetizer platter. The first time the fried pickles were like homemade... thin and crispy and really good. Every other time they've been basic thick fried pickles like you can get everywhere else. 2 totally different items. The pizza is nowhere near as amazing as it was. Tonight we ordered a philly sandwich, and I knew it was smaller than it should've been. Like.. half what it should've been. I wasn't hungry so didn't bother asking until I saw 2 other tables order what looked like the same thing (but 2 halves compared to my 1) and I did, indeed, receive half the sandwich I asked the waitress what the other 2 sandwiches were and she confirmed they were phillies, then made a comment about how they all looked different because they didn't have the right bread.... like she knew I got half a sandwich and didn't bother to say anything to cooks before bringing it out, and before that, the cooks literally plated and served half a sandwich... idk how many people just said eh maybe they won't notice. Not to mention or bill was $90 for 2 burgers with the added $3 fries, 2 apps (mini tacos and wings for crying out loud) and the $13 half philly Hate to hate on a local business, especially one that we used to love so much but man.... whatever is going on here, I hope you guys can figure it out!

So the wife and I stopped in for a bite to eat. We haven't been here in several years. I ordered the nachos and my wife had soup and Lettuce wraps. The nachos were OK but the meat was in large balls...made it a little bit of a pain to eat but essentially...plain kind of boring nachos. The chicken noodle soup was very peppery and uneventful. The Lettuce wraps had good flavor and would recommend. The issue we had was the service. I received my beer about 5 minutes after ordering and it took 20 minutes for me wife to get her beer. Our waitress seemed more interested with something near the bar station rather than working her tables. Meh food and bad service...I don't think we will be back.

This place has a great atmosphere lots of TV's and a nice outside seating area. Overall the place is clean and plenty of room. The staff was friendly and our waitress was tentative. We ordered the Buffalo chicken dip for an appetizer. The dip had a great flavor and it is not like the dip at your sisters potluck. The burgers were cooked perfect and just the right size. The spicy burger has a jalapeño spread that comes with a kick. Overall great stop as we passed through the area.

I have not been here in about 8 years and this place still wants to scam you - the bartender Jess gave us the wrong bills and then she said oops that one is a duplicate and then she added on more beers then we even had!!!!! And you want us to tip you ??? Why!?? This place is under staffed and the owner Steve was there earlier when we arrived - do you think he would help NOPE!!! That poor staff!!! I will never be back and I will tell all my friends!' This place is a joke!' Their waitstaff is so bad this one dude looked like he was up all night and day drinking!! TRUE!!

Service is okay and the food is good but not exceptional. We go about once and year and that lasts us till the next year, not a bad place but so not a favorite.

Nice bar. Had the margarita special 5.00any time any day I had to ask for a shot of tequila to go in it wasn't strong enough ! Lots of TV's they got games and a nice menu first time there oh we had some appetizers too that was delicious!

we came in with a large group unexpectedly. they were gracious and accommodating. Christina did an incredible job taking all our orders and her colleagues did a great job getting us our food. the food was delicious. from the brussel sprouts to wings to pizza to the 2 lb tacos to the burgers and the salads. we all tried each others dishes and thought it was all great. Thank you Steve, Christina and the rest of the team. Especially those in the kitchen who prepared all the food! Go try them out if you are in the area! Going to order more pizza tomorrow.

Met for lunch with friends. Nice atmosphere. You can hear conversations easily. Waitress was friendly and courteous. Two in our party had the 2 lb. taco, which was cool to see. Could be similar to a taco salad with edible shell. I had the Mac n cheese with bbq pulled pork and onion rings which really good. Mini ice cream sundae delicious and just right for one person after just eaten a meal.

Saw this place on food Network, they really do service a 10lb. burger, and a good order of house made chips. I didn't get the 10lb burger but the one I had hit the spot. Great selection at the bar, to see this place again in my near future.

Food is ok. I went a couple of times with friends and every time I went their menu was different? You try something you like it and they removed it from the menu?

Table was not cleaned before seating us two. No bread with french onion soup for who I was with. My fries was over cooked.

Pretty nice place to stop for dinner and couple of drinks. From the reviews about service... we didn't experience that. Our waitress was attentive and our foods, and drinks came out pretty quickly with no long wait times. Really enjoyed the veggie burger, their variation of the black bean burger was on point. Full of flavor and nice crisp on the patty. Went on a Monday so they had polish Monday specials going on, and we ordered the pirogies... yum! The pizza was on point. Crispy and well done. Good portions of toppings as well.

It was close to 90 and didn't want to sit outside. I asked her if we could sit inside. She shrugged and showed us to a table. Don't most places ask if you want to sit inside or outside? The waitress stopped by and brought two menus. She asked if the hostess told us what was not available. She did not. The waitress was so kind to explain what entrees and side dishes were not available. They are a basically a sports bar and had plenty of appetizers, a few salads, burgers, sandwiches, and pizzas. My husband ordered the philly cheesesteak and said it's was ok. Sort of dry. Fries were seasoned and very tasty. I had the Reuben and a cup of their homemade broccoli cheese soup. Both were very filling and tasty. The table next to us ordered a very nice looking chicken salad and nachos that smelled amazing. On Tuesday evenings they offered trivia as well as darts. Overall, it was ok. Nothing spectacular.

The food wasn't bad very decent bar food.. but the service lacked! Noticed servers congregating at one end of the bar, drink service very slow, trying to get a bill a bit ridiculous.. been here twice with no change from the bar to a table!

I seen this place over social media. I wanted to try it out seeing they had a 2lb taco. I read some reviews as I for anywhere I go, they had some bad and good reviews so I took my chance. When we was seated, the hostess didn't tell us that the menu was a scan menu. So we was just waiting without looking. Once the waitress made it over she told us so now we rolling. The food was really good. Only complaint was a mistake with the dessert. It was made wrong, the waitress asked if we wanted it because she was just going to throw it away. So we like why not, it was still added to the bill. Other than that. Good experience.

The food and atmosphere was great they give you an abundance of the waitress must've had a bad day because we had to constantly ask for things that we had ask for in the beginning but other than that I would go back and when I return I'm going to need my lemon wedges that I never received lol Super bowl there offering special 50 bucks all you can eat and drink

Stopped in to try their 2lb tacos. Fast service, might be considered a bit pricey, but the food was fresh and lived up to the hype. Would love to grab a group of people and try one of their massive burgers, but will save that for another time.

Ok.....we don't come back to Detroit often, but we were here for a family emergency, and we were hungry after all day in the hospital, and have always gone to Mallies when we come up. I will say I got a Rueben which was good (could've used more sauerkraut though), and my husband got a 2 pound burger (don't ask....no one needs that much hamburger) and fries.....I went to go sneak some fries, and noticed something shiny - I pulled out a 7 inch long piece of metal wire. Not a thin wire- a big thick piece of metal! We call the waitress over who informs us she will tell the manager. Comes back and says it's a wire from the fry basket. YUM! Manager NEVER came over.....THEN we are sitting there (eating because no one offered to replace my husbands food- and we were starving) and a waitress drops a bottle and the broken shards of glass came over and hit us. Again told waitress.....she apologized, still no manager in sight (even tho when we were there at 8, there were only about 7 tables) Come on!!!! Would've been nice to have the manager come by at least to apologize. Not cool. Oh, and their menu is now printed (poorly) on sheets of copy paper stapled together. Get it together Mallies

Good atmosphere. Decent service. Food has declined over the last few years, but most items are good to great. Lacks descent steaks and gluten free options.

This was a rough meal from the start. We walked in and were told that it would be a wait. Understanding Covid restrictions and lack of staff, we were happy to wait. When we were shown to our table, the hostess told us to scan the menu at the table and that "we would just have to be patient". Understandable. Not the most friendly, but understandable. What was not understandable was that we literally had to wait another 30 mins just to be greeted and place our drink order (that our waitress forgot, anyways). We placed an order for an appetizer. It didn't come out until our food did. No apologies, no compensation, they just swept it under the rug. The food was cold. We paid $41 for two burgers (that didn't even come with fries) and mozzarella sticks. Over priced is an understatement. We waited an additional 30 minutes for our bill. Our waitress seemed to constantly forget we were even there. Never checked to see if there was anything we needed. We were there for almost two hours! Never going back. Not worth the time or the money.

I don't know how to get a burger with no pickles!!! If you can't take an order properly, just means you don't care about business. Won't be a third time. Good food if the order is right though

Nothing I ate would be rated over a 5/10, even the gouda mac was cold. The worst part was the owners son's hockey team was there. They allowed these kids to run rampant all over the restaurant and bar, even standing on patio tables. The staff was basically powerless left apologizing to 15 kids running around a bar playing hide and seek. This place has gone to the crapper.

New to the area, here for work. So glad we found this spot near our hotel! The food and portions were amazing! The waiter even recommended such a delicious drink for me from the bar that I had 2! We had steak bites for appetizer (not pictured). Everything was beyond tasty!!! Highly recommended. Also, they had trivial night and we learned a lot. Who knew Nevada triangle included Fresno, Reno and Las Vegas haha. Overall, fantastic dinner spot.

Excellent service and food... Over only been to your place 4 times yet reach time had been very good. The staff is always on top of things- I have never had to wonder where my waitress or waiter disappeared to. It is varied menu and one yet to be disappointed. The only complaint I have is that their drinks seem to be a bit pricey.

Was in town for a soccer tournament and decided to give this place a try as our hotel was near by. I had a hard time deciding between the 2lb taco and the dill pickle pizza, ended up with the pizza and was very impressed. I should have ordered another one to take back to the hotel, maybe next time!
