Malou Coffee - Review - Brentwood - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"A coffee shop with white-washed walls, minimalist decor, and cream-topped drinks—sound familiar? It’s a setup we’ve seen before (*ahem* Maru), but this one is in the heart of Brentwood. The menu has drinks like an orange espresso tonic, date-cardamom latte, and matcha with yuzu. There’s also a breakfast sandwich and breakfast burrito that you can eat on the patio out front. We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists." - Cathy Park

Great Service! We interacted with 3 of their team members from taking orders, barista and someone handing out the orders. All 3 individuals were very warm and welcoming, they took time to explain a bit to us since it was our first time. Cute and well lit shop, love the open indoor/outdoor concept. I had the fig and cardamom latte, hubs had Okinawa matcha. Both delightful! The croissant and cherry danish were flaky.

I had the pleasure of attending Malou Coffee's soft grand opening, and it was an absolute delight! The pour over coffee was delicious, rich, and perfectly brewed —it was clean, balanced, and full of flavor. The food was also delicious… the aioli really stood out—it was the perfect addition. The vibe was warm, welcoming, and cozy, making it the perfect spot to relax or catch up with friends. I’m already looking forward to my next visit!

Google
New coffee shop in the neighborhood that also offers warm food. The spot is really clean and nice. Plenty of outside tables. We came for the soft opening and it was really. Obviously, the wait was very long because of circumstances. But, I came back the following week and things were much more calmer and easier. The strawberry milk was good. Maybe a bit too much ice, but a cool drink. I got the avocado toast, and it was really good. The reason why I am giving this place 5 stars. I would usually try avocado toast, but had been a bit disappointed lately with some that are not necessarily very tasty or interesting. But, this one has so much taste and flavors. The bread is really great. They add some herbs and all the flavors are mixing. It is not easy to eat especially with the egg, but it’s delicious. I would definitely recommend to try it.

Malou Coffee is everything you want in a neighborhood coffee spot. This adorable, family-owned gem just opened in Brentwood, and I’m already obsessed. The service is hands down the best—warm, welcoming, and genuinely kind. Now let’s talk food… The breakfast burrito? Absolute perfection. The avocado toast? Next level. And the coffee? Easily the best I’ve had in a long time—rich, smooth, and clearly made with care. So happy to have Malou in the neighborhood. Can’t wait to come back again (and again)!

Google
Adorable little coffee shop! The bright addition to the Brentwood core is a great add to the mix. Clearly matcha experts, these baristas are carefully crafting delicious drinks and the rose and pistachio croissant was a delightful edition. We weren’t planning on it, but the sundrenched patio pulled us in and we sat to enjoy our drinks before continuing the day. It was nice to see a neighborhood buzz about this place with a short yet consistent line always apparent. It seems but there’s a attached sandwich shop that I will definitely be back to try. Welcome to the neighborhood Malou! Xx, H

Already a huge fan! I’ve been seeing Malou gradually get closer and closer to opening and was able to join one of their tasting sessions. The vibes were high - great music, extremely clean interior architectural design, and a super excited and friendly staff. Alana did an excellent job greeting every guest who attended. Kyla and Meredith were also very warm despite how many orders they were managing all at once. Iced Espresso with cold foam drink was delicious. The finishing sugar and salt were just right. So excited to see this place become a new staple in the neighborhood. 10/10 recommend once they open!

Google
A matcha beverage specialty store located in Brentwood, LA. It may not be suitable for those who want matcha drinks that are too sweet to numb their taste buds, but it is the best choice for those who enjoy the deep flavor of matcha. I personally think it is the best matcha cafe in LA. Of course, the coffee drinks such as cafe latte are also very good. If you bring your car, street parking can be tricky, but on weekdays, it is not a big problem.

Having grown up in brentwood, the charm about this place is the community and malou is truly the perfect addition to barrington!! Drinks are creative and always consistent. I’ve come here very regularly since opening and every time I’m greeted with such kindness from baristas/cashier/and owner!! Love the sunny patio and attention to detail for each drink. Matcha is SO good, you can taste the quality of the matcha. Also an iced latte with a little honey is super good too! Love the Cara Cara orange tonic on a hot day. Food is amazing, the combination of flavors for each item are unique and special and their croissants are also super good! Love that it’s busy because it’s GOOD! Not your grab and go or order online vibe — it’s a true made to order coffee/matcha experience, valuing true connection with customers and each drink made with attention and care. A go to for me when I’m meeting a friend or showing them the neighborhood! I’m suuuuper happy it’s here!!! Thank you malou!!

Yelp
I was in the area near UCLA and decided to grab some breakfast and get my caffeine fix! After stopping by another place and realizing it's a ghost kitchen, I decided to stop over here for the first time! First of all, what a gorgeous space!! The vibes were so chill but still upbeat and happy! Put me in such a good mood! Food + drink The matcha was just the right color with the right amount of sweetener. I added honey as it doesn't come sweetened. The burrito was delicious!! Had the right amount of kick and savoriness and comes with a side of tater tots and small salad. Ambiance 5/5 Gorgeous space, amazing music, good amount of seating. There were people working on their laptops so I imagine it's a good place to do that too. Found street parking immediately in front of the cafe. Price $7.50 for a matcha latte with honey is average nowadays and so is $17 for a breakfast burrito so no complaints there. Service 5/5 The few individuals I interacted with were so sweet, welcoming, and respectful! Put me in the best mood!! Will 100% be back when I'm in the area.

Yelp
Love! This place has such a great vibe but what really makes it are all the people that work there. Everyone is super friendly and warm and there are no stuck up attitudes. Outdoor patio seating with minimalistic vibes. My go to drink is the espresso cold foam which is essentially espresso topped with cream and sea salt bits in a small cup. The espresso has a really rich profile and shines in this drink. The matcha Okinawa cold foam is very tasty. The matcha is not bitter which is probably balanced by the cold foam, it is a pretty rich drink. The cardamon date latte is pretty good too. It's a perfect balance of middle eastern flavors with what seems fresh date paste mixed in making it subtly sweet. I have yet to try the other drinks (or food) but I'm already a super fan of this place!

Yelp
I met up with a friend at Malou Coffee and was impressed by the ambiance. I love the indoor/outdoor feel of the spot. Ordered the Okinawa cold foam with Matcha. It was slightly sweet because of the foam but the matcha balanced it out. The flavors were rich and delectable. The breakfast sandwich was so good - fluffy eggs, slightly sweet brioche, and a nice addition of caramelized onions. The outdoor seating area is a bit cozier so you'll need to be comfortable sitting closer to other parties. It was a nice, sunny day so I appreciated the lofty umbrellas. There was a mix of people working on their laptops and friends chatting. Pricing is a bit on the higher side but it does feel like the drinks and food are quality. There's metered parking and some neighborhood parking if you get lucky.

Yelp
I met a close friend here after she got back from her honeymoon to catch up and we had the most delicious breakfast! I usually walk over for a matcha latte but this time tried their avocado toast which was so delicious! Creamy and tasty on fresh bread. Sprinkled with mint and baby tomatoes this was worth every bite. My friend liked her burrito. It also came with tater tots. Yummy and presented so beautifully.

Yelp
Very modern ,more asian style coffee shop with tasty drinks and flaky pastries. I came here specifically for the Hojicha latte and it was fine but nothing worth raving over. But Personally, prefer this style coffee and tea over a regular cafe. Parking can definitely be a little bit of a pain, so unless you live in the area I wouldn't say this is a place I'd make a special trip for.
google avatar

Yelp
The food and drinks were great but the logistics of coming here is just very inconvenient. I had the okinawa cold foam and it was delicious! They import their matcha from Kyoto Japan and you can taste it in their drinks. Their espresso tonic tasted more sweet than sour which I like! Also had their breakfast brioche which was $16. For $16, I wish there was more protein included other than just egg. The parking of this place is terrible since ifs located in a tight area. Street parking is really nonexistent unless you park far. They do not have a dedicated parking lot. Also, I came on weekday morning and luckily did not have to wait. But Ive seen the lines on Saturday and it looks horrible. There were a good amount of tables for such a small place. I'd avoid this place on the weekend but would come back on weekdays!

Yelp
I've been here twice, once on a weekend afternoon and earlier today (weekday afternoon). I thought my orders both times were great! The iced matcha latte with oat milk was good but not my favorite. Would give it a 7/10. Will have to try the matcha with cream top next time. The espresso cold foam was better in my opinion- 8/10. The cream top with the little bit of salt sprinkled on top was soooo good. It was insanely crowded on the weekend, and we ended up waiting about 20-25 minutes in line. Today there was no wait at all, and I sat at one of their tables for a couple hours to get some work done. They have plenty of tables outdoor, several of them with shade. Wifi is free. I was able to find free street parking a couple blocks away.
google avatar

Yelp
New matcha spot on the west side of la (that's much better than bonsai coffee for sure). Very popular this weekend. It's sort of the size of a garage and parking could be tough to find on the street. Service was very kind and chatty I got the most popular drink which was the okinawa cream matcha- This place does use high quality matcha but felt a little too watery. The okinawa cream top was good but wish they gave more. It tastes like hojicha with heavy cream and a nutty butter.
google avatar

Rachel C.

Yelp
I love Malou! The strawberry matcha is amazing and made with fresh strawberries. The coffee shop itself is cute with minimalist vibes. The pastries are sooo good - I love the almond spiral and the strawberry one, and I'm confident the others are just as good. Excited to ho again soon!

Yelp
Ok, two highlights: 1. Their matcha is delicious and strong af. Just how I like it. 2. Their pistachio rose croissant was one of the best croissants I've had. The right amount of rose that didn't overpower the pistachio, the right amount of filling, buttery, flakey layers, topped with flowers. Spectacular. Also went back for their breakfast burrito, which was yummy, too. Love this addition to the 'hood. Will absolutely be back.
google avatar

Yelp
Parking: mainly street metered parking, maximum 2 hours Drinks: (2/5) Espresso cold foam: it comes in an 8 oz. With cold foam and an espresso shot over ice. We noticed from the first sip that the espresso was extremely sour. The cold foam is fantastic though. But unfortunately without a good espresso shot, the drink was not good. (4/5) Okinawa cold foam matcha: Iced matcha with sweet cold foam. The matcha is a great color and has a significant umami flavor. The sweet cold foam is a great addition, however I'd say it's a bit too sweet.
google avatar

Yelp
Okinawa Matcha that keeps me coming back. It's perfectly balanced and so addicting! The barista is friendly as well (:

Yelp
So excited to welcome Malou Coffee as one of the newest cafes to Brentwood! This place is popping and for good reason, and I definitely think it's worth checking out! Comparatively, their authentic Uji matcha quality is SO much better than other hyped up matcha cafes in West LA, and I absolutely loved their Okinawa Matcha latte, which brought back nostalgic memories of Japan. Their cafe menu also offers pastries and different coffee drinks, which I'll have to be back for. The baristas and owner were also very friendly, and the owner even came out to talk to customers when the cafe was less busy and invited us to an Uji matcha tasting event! My only gripe is the parking situation- on a super busy stretch of San Vicente, it's already HORRIBLE trying to find street parking that's not permit only in that area. There is a parking lot behind the cafe, but only certain spots are allowed for Malou Coffee, which are not clearly marked. The valet was extremely rude and insisted I pay $10 in cash!! (Atrocious considering the parking lot was in the alley) or else he would tow me immediately. He even chased after another car onto the upper level of the parking lot to demand they pay the $10 fee. After he handled my car, I also had a front wheel issue. Obviously, the horrible valet situation is not by any means the fault of Malou, but I hope the owner can work out an agreement with the parking lot so that there are more self-parking spaces allotted for their customers without having to go through valet.

Yelp
Ambiance: 9/10 Service: 6/10 They're still working out kinks of it just opening and being super busy i'm sure) Drinks: 7/10 I've had better matcha and espresso elsewhere, but still super solid! I like unique drinks and the Okinawa Matcha (brown sugar) is delicious. Food: 4/10 The breakfast burrito was $17 and so sad looking. It tasted good, nothing special, but it's sooo small.
google avatar

Melanie K.

Yelp
Going to give them the benefit of the doubt since it's their soft opening but it was so chaotic and disorganized to dine and drink here. The food is very boring, charging $16 for a sesame bun with avocado and eggs. The matcha was fine, I would've appreciated if they asked whether I preferred sweetener or unsweet in my Matcha since it came out tasting grassy and plain. There's also a ton of dirty plates that get left behind by other people and the staff do not clean it, when I brought the plates back that were left behind by others the barista got mad at me for bringing it to them (lol).

Yelp
If only I was still staying at my old place, Malou was literally just down the road. The venue's setup literally gave me that Venice brunch spots vibes. As how it's always be in LA, this brand new place successfully dragged the crowd. As how typical coffee shop around Brentwood area also always looked like, felt like 90% of the guests were dressed in Alo, Lulu, or akind (LOL IYKYK). They had some seats in the front patio, which on sunny days would be perfect, but unfortunately the rain just couldn't help but to pay a visit this weekend. Most people went for their Matcha Strawberry, Espresso Cold Foam, or Okinawa Cold Foam. I opted for the last as I wasn't a fan of matcha going with strawberry in my drink and the second came in kinda petite size. Mine was their matcha with coffee foam on top. Please take my money Malou, I hate to say I fell for this drink and would surely keep coming back for it HAHA! It's $8.5 before tax and tip, but it was SO GOOD! Solid quality matcha and that coffee foam just complemented the overall taste flawlessly coming at the right dose and creaminess. Doing my little research, they used Fukujuen matcha from Kyoto, so no wonder it landed that rich umami flavor! There's extra fun from what I guessed were cacao bits on top.
google avatar

Tristen S.

Yelp
New fave coffee shop on the west side! Honestly really impressed by their matcha - definitely really strong. The cold foam on the espresso was also just the right amount of sweet and creamy. The place is small & simple with a few chairs & tables outdoors. Service was quick and the baristas were friendly. There's a good amount of street parking around!

Yelp
Drinks were good, line was long, and everyone in line may as well be Sponsored by Alo Yoga™ We went on a Sunday around 11:15 am and it was about 11:50ish when we got our drinks. To be fair, they misheard our drink order name so we had to wait a little longer while we figured that out. We got the Okinawa cold foam matcha and the iced date cardamom latte. Both were good, but if you have a sweet tooth like me I'd go for the Okinawa. I wasn't familiar with kokuto (black sugar) so was a bit surprised at the crunchy bits at the bottom of the drink. We snagged a parking spot in the lot behind the shop which was a relief. I won't be in a rush to come back here because of the line and the vibes, but if I'm in the area at an off-time I'll try the strawberry matcha or grab another Okinawa cold foam.
google avatar

Alexa T.

Yelp
What an amazing addition to Brentwood! Since they opened just a week or so ago, I've already been back twice. Some of my favorite Matcha in the area, definitely try the Okinawa Cold Foam! The Espresso Cold Foam was also delicious and very well balanced. Can't wait to become a regular
google avatar

Ru C.

Yelp
One of the cutest, vibey-est, coffee shop in LA! Okinawa cold foam was so yummy. The tables and chairs are super cute. Their sandos next door look really cute and yummy as well! Too bad I was too full to try, but will definitely come back for it. More importantly, their bathroom, gosh, SO FANCY. When I first learned that it's in the back I was a bit nervous...since toilets in the back are usually kind of ahem...dirty. BUT theirs is just as nice as the coffee shop itself. I hope they open one in the east LA as well!
google avatar

Hillah G.

Yelp
Really wonderful space. Very vibrant and social. Super clean cut and minimalistic. Comfortable and a lot of seating. Great menu, incredible drinks and pastries. Very attentive and helpful baristas. We got the strawberry matcha, okinawa cold foam matcha, strawberry danish, and rose pistachio croissant

Yelp
Malou has officially become our new favorite "coffee o'clock" spot! My lady and I typically come around 4:30/5pm (they close at 5:30 which we appreciate), and the vibe is absolutely lovely--plenty of seating, shaded area and just off San Vicente. I really enjoy the double espresso on ice with oat milk on the side and my partner loves the matcha. On another note, they also offer smaller sized cups (another thing I appreciate), I believe 9 ounces which I enjoy because I like the smaller amount of liquid. Everyone who works at Malou is very sweet, we recently met Isabella who always has warm energy and provides great service. Thank you!
google avatar

Janna M.

Yelp
Came right when they opened on a Sunday morning, no line and fast service. The ambiance was nice; cozy and minimalistic. No parking except for street parking ($2/hour). I got 4 crafted drinks plus a bottled juice that they serve from juice crafters. My total ended up being $39.30. The plastic cups are fairly small (~$7 for regular iced matcha, ~$9 for the okinawa cream top matcha, and ~$7 for the espresso cold foam). I would say that their cups are small for their price and flimsy when trying to put the lids on. Their matcha (from uji, Japan) and coffee are really strong which is nice, but there is an up charge for milk substitution. They have hot plates but their kitchen doesn't open until an hour after opening. They do serve pastries but only a small variety. They also have merch, coffee bags, and information guides on what matcha and coffee they use. In my opinion, I most likely won't be back just cause I prefer to get a bang for my buck but it's still a nice place to try their unique drinks.

Yelp
came with my daughter today for a matcha drink and breakfast. The matcha was not bad at all, but the breakfast was something awful, especially the breakfast burrito. I haven't seen such awful food for a long time that I didn't even want to try it. This burrito looks greenish-gray in a gray liquid. We didn't eat it.

Anne G.

Yelp
Best strawberry match in Los Angeles. Handdown. Every sip till the end, truly life changing.

Yelp
This is legit coffee. And the food is low key the best in Brentwood. Ordered my flat white with almond milk and it was smooth and creamy. Croissant was ultra flaky. Loved the modern Japanese design and the vibe. Got my drink in about 3 minutes at 10am, so service was on point too. I also ordered the breakfast brioche which was insane. Apparently they have a Michelin star chef so the food is the best I've had at a coffee shop. Highly recommend. Some of the lower reviews seem like they were given when the place first opened and still trying to figure it out. Seems like they worked out all the kinks.
google avatar

Joya E.

Yelp
I came here the first weekend of the month. It was their soft opening weekend. It was pretty busy. For a Sunday afternoon it was busy. I got the espresso cold foam which is one of their signature drinks. I really liked it and I liked the vibes of this spot. The only downside is that it has limited seating. I would come back to try their other drinks and also their food. I was able to share with their banana bread which was very good. Definitely a vibey spot!!
google avatar

Patricia S.

Yelp
The Date Cardamom Latte... dangerously delicious! I rarely drink coffee, but this one might convert me. Smooth, subtly sweet, and perfectly spiced -- with a double shot of espresso that somehow still made my mouth so happy. Everything is made fresh each morning, and it shows. The staff? Exceptionally friendly and genuinely knowledgeable. Add in the crisp ocean breeze and a lucky parking spot behind the café -- and you've got a perfect morning. Bring someone special to this gem.
google avatar

Selina I.

Yelp
pretty good! got the okinawa matcha and the flavor was a bit subtle but nicely sweetened with the cream on top! my sister got their hojicha latte which was super good!! the man who helped us order was also very nice and friendly he gave us a strawberry matcha to try and it was tasty! i would say the strawberry flavor overpowered the matcha a bit but the drink was still very nice and sweet!
google avatar

Christy S.

Yelp
The matcha was 10/10! The only reason why I didn't give it 5 stars is because I wish the size was bigger for the price. I think it was 8.50 for this matcha. Overall really loved the aesthetic and the outdoor seating at Malou! Excited to try some of their food next
google avatar

Hayley Z.

Yelp
The drinks are good, but expensive. The wait is long, and i think they are understaffed. One person behind register and one person making the drinks at 8:15am. Id come back for the coffee if i had a lot of time. To order and get my drink took 20min. They make their own vanilla syrup, vanilla latte is my favorite. My friend said their drip coffee was the best he has ever had. Also i came another time on a monday around 10am and they were more staffed but they were playing loud edm music and it was not the right vibe, didn't make me want to stay.

Kaylan M.

Yelp
Big matcha lover here, I explore new cafes every weekend. Biggest disappointment, by far the worst matcha I have ever had, tastes very low quality. The Okinawa cold foam on top tasted great but the matcha was terrible and I kept sucking up chunks from the bottom. Spitting out and/or chewing chunks while sipping on a latte was not what I signed up for. I was super excited for the Date Cardamom latte, also very underwhelming, aromatic but flavor was not all there. $20 with tip, not worth it, I'd rather go to Starbucks You're better off going to Alfred's coffee down the street or any cafe in Ktown.

Paulina A.

Yelp
Amazing!! Not only are the drinks and food amazing, but customer service is 10/10! The owner is one of the kindest people I have ever met and is so accommodating :) if you are in the area you must stop by!!!

Yelp
Malou Café is such a breath of fresh air--effortlessly cool, beautifully designed, and full of heart. The space is airy and calming, with a modern Mediterranean vibe that makes you want to stay a while. The coffee is smooth and crafted to perfection I got a vanilla iced latte with oat and my husband got matcha, also for food we got the breakfast sandwich and the food is just as thoughtful--fresh, flavorful, and so satisfying. Whether you're here for a slow brunch, solo coffee break, or cute date spot, Malou makes it special. Definitely one of my new go-to places!
google avatar

Yelp
I saw these girls w GOOD LOOKING matchas and I HAD to ask where they went and they told me about Malou and how they were having a soft opening. I was originally going to go to Amai, but I was too hooked on those girls' matchas and it was INSANELY good! They sift their matcha and they use a bamboo whisk(but it's all premade so you don't see, which is ok. I know it would be too hectic to go through the whole process thousands of times a day)! But I'm sooo glad I tried it! The lady making the matchas was sooo nice too :)
google avatar

Yelp
Such a cute coffee shop--can't wait to come back! I tried their iced vanilla latte and it was so good. The coffee came out quickly and the staff were incredibly friendly. I'm excited to return and try some of their food items next time, looked amazing. Also has a great seating area!

Yelp
Fabulous iced matcha latte and iced coffee. Specialty cold foam adds a nice touch. Highly recommend

Yelp
The matcha was amazing. Parking sucks around there but worth it. Haven't tried the coffee yet

Yelp
Always a great experience and best matcha here! They use the ceremonial grade and staff is amazing!!! Favorite spot! Get the Okinawa cold foam!!

Emma B.

Yelp
i came here on a friday at noon, it wasn't crazy busy but there was a bit of a crowd. the employees were so sweet and friendly. i ordered a strawberry matcha ($9 which i thought was kinda pricey because i didn't get alt milk), an espresso with coldfoam ($5), and a red chai ($4.75). the drinks were very yummy and i liked the taste of the espresso. the matcha was super yummy, but i thought the strawberry syrup used was a bit chunky. overall great atmosphere, cute location and had lots of seating room. i wish i could give it 4.5
google avatar

Erandi D.

Yelp
A really cute coffee shop with a good selection of food and drinks and a good amount of seating. My only issue was that I ordered a gluten free breakfast burrito which was then mixed up with a regular order. I confirmed with the barista that the order I picked up was the gluten free burrito and she said yes. Later on I heard them call out "gluten free breakfast burrito" while I was already eating the order I grabbed. When I went to the counter to clarify again, we realized my order belonged to someone else and was in fact not the gluten free burrito. As someone with celiac, I know the risks I take when I decide to eat out, with cross contamination and potential mixups/mistakes, and thankfully it is not a deadly allergy. However the mixup was incredibly disappointing and had it been a deadly allergic reaction, the neglect would have caused serious consequences. It was an honest mistake on their part, and there is really nothing I could've done once I had already eaten the food so I did not want to make it a big deal. I'm only writing this to urge people with allergies to double/triple check when eating here and also hopefully encourage Malou to clearly mark the special orders -- for example write the specified restriction on the box or put a sticker of some sort to make it clear to both the staff and guests. Otherwise the staff was kind and it did seem that they were apologetic about the mistake and I appreciate them for that.
google avatar

Ashley G.

Yelp
Literally best coffee shop on the west side. Best quality matcha coffee and food. Definitely worth the hype!! My favorite is the matcha americano with the Okinawa cream top. All the employees are sooo nice and friendly and the space is gorgeous. It's an addiction!

Natasha R.

Yelp
the matcha is really not good, it just tastes like milk. it's soo expensive and really not worth it.

Steve P.

Yelp
I came here on a Saturday around 2pm and placed an order and was immediately thrown off. When the worker asked for my name I said Steve. She heard Dave so I said no, Steve. She then proceeded to say "Dave, Steve, same thing". Whatever, the music is loud and it could've been a mistake. But then they called out my order, why would they call out one drink and make me wait nearly another 10 minutes for my second drink. We got the Okinawa Cold Foam and Espresso Cold Foam. The Okinawa Cold Foam tasted so watered down and was one of the worst matcha drinks I've ever had. It's pretty hard to mess up an Espresso Cold Foam. Overall, I would never come back to this establishment.

Kyley K.

Yelp
The coffee was excellent, but the customer service stood out even more--truly exceptional, and honestly rare to find in LA at busy coffee shops. Yes, the line can get long, but it's absolutely worth the wait. I haven't had a chance to try the food yet, but I'm definitely coming back. The barista who took my order was radiating positivity and even double-checked the spelling of my name. He also thanked me for bringing my dog, which I loved--super dog-friendly vibes all around. A man who I assume was the owner even came over and asked if he could give my dog a treat. Such a thoughtful touch. I tried the cardamom latte (asked for it a little less sweet), and it was delicious. I'll be back for the good energy, great coffee, and truly top-notch customer service. Left with a smile on my face and a perfect start to the day. :)
