Luis did a fantastic job serving our large group. Organized from start to finish. Food was delicious and plentiful. Everyone enjoyed drink options. Cheese dip was creamy n thick how it should be! We had no complaints.

First time here, and I will definitely be coming back. Nice upbeat atmosphere. The staff was amazing. You can't beat $6 cocktails. Tequila Sunrise and Blue Hawaiian were everything. I had the Beef Enchiladas Rancheras, and it was full of flavor. A wonderful way to celebrate friendship. Can't wait till next time!!!

I’m going to start by saying Thank You Carlos and Thank You to the staff that, showed my family and I so much love, kindness, respect and most of all their Professionalism as individuals as I hosted my son’s Graduation Party. It was a very smooth process with a price that was absolutely reasonable and affordable. The servers and their services were on point. The food was a success and the drinks were definitely a success. The food was hot, fresh and deliciously satisfying for all my guests. The drinks had us on our feet’s as they were pleasing, refreshing and definitely mixed to an A+ Level. DJ Joe was definitely a success as he represented his talents and the restaurant as well. The servers were not just employees of the restaurant, they mingled in as family as they made the party so exciting with their dance moves and most of all their individual character. They were very professional and understood the assignment with the most high quality service ever. They were calm, patient and everything above. Cris and Nicholas were very professional and offered to help with any needs that were needed. All guest stated that, this restaurant is a place to have a party for any occasion. We truly had a blast that will have long lasting memories in our hearts. Whomever owns this restaurant should be Proud of Their Employees because, each individual represented themselves to a level of Perfection. Thank you Mi Pueblo Family. We came to Mi Pueblo Mexican Grill after an incredible game of Topgolf. The restaurant had a beautiful setting with live music. The food was excellent—the bowls were large and flavorful, and the horchata was huge and refreshing. Our waitress was very attentive. Overall, it’s a great option in University City.

Great ambiance and service. There's a large, open bright area inside with high ceilings that transports you away from suburban Charlotte. The brunch chimichanga is an incredible bargain and the caffe olla is only served on weekends and is a delicious cinnamon treat!

Had another authentic Mexican meal. There were for of us. We had chicken fajitas, meat enchiladas, tacos, and chimichangs. Awesome meal out with friends. My only downside was that we were clearly a disabled party, and while there were oodles of tables, the hostess seated us in a lower level, requiring my wife to very carefully travel down. Could we have complained, yes, but I didn't want to embarrass our party. The server was fine. You are brought fresh chips and a well spiced salsa

We loved this place! The service was impeccable, the food was delicious and beautiful. The restaurant was well lit and very nice inside. This is not your average Mexican restaurant, it was top notch!! A +++!!

Fist time went there last week. The atmosphere was great, the food was not bad, will try again. The service was bad because a glass was broke and the lady who came to attend, handled the cleaning towel to me to clean it up, not even budged to attend to it, when the first one got wet, she passed me now tissue papers to finish and then let me picked up the broken glasses. I went there because it is an historic place w, great designs.

Very good establishment that gets the job done each time we've visit. Very spacious inside. Prices are good, food is tasty with a good variety and staff is organized. Alot of people frequent this restaurant. I have no issue and would recommend.

This location has consistently gone downhill since it opened.... And last night we decided it would be our last time giving it "another chance". The large queso portion was almost half the size it usually is and super milky/runny, when we asked as it arrived they told us "they got new bowls".... Steak chimichanga was absolutely FILLED with oil from the fryer. So much oil it wasn't even edible.... The rice in the ACP was old and there were pieces of hard, dried rice, scattered throughout...and in general the whole plate was super dry and gross. The chips were also not fresh.

Food was very good. My friend and I both got the ACP lunch special. I really enjoyed the queso covered rice and felt like it was a good portion size. There was a little heat to the food (spice) but it wasn't too bad. I appreciate them doing the lunch menu until 4pm. Service was just ok. Our waitress took awhile to greet us and then never came back after the food arrived to the table. We had to ask someone else for the check and then ended up paying at the host stand because she wasn't around to take payment. Overall a good experience and I wouldn't mind eating here again.

I believe this was my first time at Mi Pueblo or I just haven't been in a while but my experience was great ! From the food, service and the ambiance. I ordered the loco veggie bowl and it was a great big portion, so you'll definitely get your moneys worth !! I also ordered a virgin daiquiri, and it too was huge, but amazing. I will definitely be back to this location in the future, no doubt in my mind!

Heads up, I didn't get to eat so keep that in mind when reading this review. I visited on a Saturday at 2:30 and within less than 10 mins I'd placed my order. I ended up leaving an hour later as my food had not come out. When I asked, they didn't even know what I'd ordered. I ordered fish tacos for context - I was pretty disappointed because I don't believe that should've taken an hour. I had high hopes when I entered because there was a DJ playing some great tunes. The DJ was doing his THING. We did get our margaritas which were very tasty. However - hunger won and I left to find something else as our servers were not helpful when we expressed our hunger and concerns.

Mi Pueblo is always a vibe. The ambiance is fresh, clean and beautifully decorated. Lots lot seating. Great for large parties or intimate party of 2. Great choice for birthday dinner. This place is ran like a restaurant should be ran. The servers are well trained. As soon as you're seated, servers bring warm chips and salsa. If your server is busy with another party you are always acknowledged that they will be right with you. I've been here a hundred times and they are always consistent. Lots of menu items, great drinks and just about everything is good.

Always fast service. Friendly servers. Really good food. Lots of drinks and drink specials. Chicken is never dry!

I have been wanting to try their brunch for the longest time and they did not disappoint. I got the margarita flight which was only $12 ! And I also ordered the steak skillet and dulce de leche pancakes. Boy oh boy was it delicious. The skillet came out sizzling and it was packed with flavor . The pancakes were just the right amount of fluff and sweetness and not overwhelming thick. The margarita flight was done just right . Our server Cathy was wonderful and attentive . I would definitely give their brunch a 10/10 . The time for their brunch is Saturday and Sunday only 10am-2pm . The brunch was extremely reasonable! Around $50

Food quality and quantity is good. Servers are polite and the ambiance is decent. I have noticed a weird service lapse may be, usually servers are assigned tables but here I saw that only your service will serve you. I asked for a spoon for my kid almost to three other servers and they were polite but never gave me one besides they have been walking in front on my table multiple times. I finally had to ask for a spoon with my own server she immediately got me one. I felt Customer service is biased.

This is my second time eating here while visiting back home. After a day of being out and about our second time here resulted in no pics being taken. But the food was great, we each tried a rice bowl! My mom ate all of hers and waddled to the car lol. Our waiter was great and the food came out on time!

You can always go here for a solid meal. It's one of my go tos for lunch. Staff is always friendly. Great for large gatherings.

This place gets the unusual five stars from me, and I am not grading on a curve here. This place was recommended by a friend from Texas, so I know he knows Mexican food. His recommendation was spot on! The food was phenomenal, the service was excellent and the ambiance is too. We started with the Ceviche. I was skeptical, but decided to try it. Definitely fresh and teaming with flavor. My wife and I decided to order two dishes and split them both. We went with the chicken flautas and Carne asada. The flautas are amazing. The chicken is probably the best I've had in years. The other flavors were a perfect match. The carne asada is great. It's tender, appropriately seasoned and grilled not fried. The greenery is actually green and the tomatoes juicy. The rice and beans are excellent and flavorful. I had the corn tortillas and they are the best I've had in Carolinas by far. My wife had the Habanero Pomegranate margarita and it was amazing! The perfect blend of sweet and spicy. I wish I could tell you how the dessert is but I didn't have room. We both agreed that although almost two hours away, this is a place that we would drive up for!

The food is always served hot and full of flavor--consistently delicious! I always get the ACP Supreme, and it never disappoints. The chicken is perfectly seasoned, the rice is fluffy, and the cheese sauce ties everything together beautifully. The portions are generous, and you definitely get your money's worth. The staff is always friendly and quick, whether you're dining in or picking up takeout. I've tried other places, but I keep coming back here because the quality and taste are unmatched. Highly recommend this spot to anyone craving great Mexican food!

The brunch here is pretty good. They do have a mimosa special which is nice $5. I ordered an inlet and it was huge! But good and my server was sweet. I recommend this brunch if you want a twist to your brunch with the Mexican cuisine.

They have brunch! The menu has a variety of options and mimosas. I got the La Paloma without grenadine and it was great. The staff were friendly and service was fast. My food was tasty and portions are fair. I didn't like that chips and salsa are already on the table when we were seated. They should bring that only after you're seated.

This place is cute and has a ton of seating. You can order at the bar, dine in or place a takeout order. We decided to place a takeout order and order a drink while we waited. They have $6 house special cocktails and margaritas! The staff was super helpful even though they were confused with the Yelp check-in offer of receiving a free queso dip and chip. Luckily they were able to provide it. I ordered a plate (forget the name) which had chicken and steak with rice & beans & flour tortillas. It was good. I'll be back for taco Tuesday.

Saturday brunch was it was so much food. My friend and I split the breakfast skillet and the Dulce de leche pancakes. I LOVED the skillet with spicy salsa. The mimosas were also great, especially for the price. Our server was attentive. The environment picked up after 12 and it was lively.

Gotta say we were both disappointed with our lunch yesterday. From the absence of smiles and hellos (except one cheerful waiter) to the lack of flavor and creativity, we wondered if this was a big chain restaurant that had lost its way. Nope. Family-owned with a handful of NC locations. Hmmmm. The facility is gargantuan and nicely decorated with a consistent theme. The menu offered a lot of variety. But the flavor was left off our plates. Lori ordered the Lunch Fajitas which normally come out sizzling hot. Warm food, dull flavors, and mushy peppers and onions. Rice and beans? Dead on arrival. The guacamole was good, though. My Two Burrito lunch was equally tasteless. The sauce was thin, runny, and void of any spice. WTH is going on? I hate to say it but this is a hard pass for me. Could not even get my "Give 'em a Whirl" meter to turn on. No whirls, twirls, or swirls.

We ordered the cheese dip, beef taco salad (aka Taco Loco) and ACC shrimp w/ peppers & onions added. The taco salad was a good size and very fresh but lacking in any flavor. The ACC shrimp was very nice. The staff were very friendly and our server Alejandro was kind and very efficient. The restaurant itself was large, nicely decorated and clean.

2/7 My family went here impromptu last night to celebrate my sister's birthday! We had a party of 6 (+3 high chairs) and were seated pretty quickly even though it was dinner time. Majority of our table ordered the Texana Quesadilla just with various tweaks (no steak, no shrimp, no vegetables, etc). I was very impressed that no one at our table had to send anything back. Everything was made to order and was delicious. My mom was the only one to try something different: the Golden Chicken Flautas. She liked them. Our waitress was great and attentive. They even sang my sister happy birthday while she wore a sombrero and brought out a special dessert! We've been here many of times and it's definitely our favorite Mexican restaurant in Charlotte.

The food here was so good!! We came in on Saturday with a group of 16 people. I forgot our waiters name but he was very attentive and everytime one of us asked for something, he got it right away. The guacamole was one of the best I have ever had and the lemon drop shot flight was amazing! I had two! It was suggested by our waiter since I broke up tequila. The shots were made with Titos.

Food here is always amazing! The portion sizes are huge, I always have leftovers. The service is great and fast! The inside is huge and has seating everywhere. They also have an outside patio that's covered and a great place to sit as well. On weekends they play music outside so it's always a vibe!

Very good Mexican food. The servings were generous, the salsa was very good and we took advantage of their Monday half price special on burritos and margaritas. There are different half price specials from Monday through Thursday that we will also be trying. We had three different burritos and they were all excellent. I ordered mine with Mexican rice which was deliciously seasoned and cooked to perfection. My burrito was equally delicious. We will be back!

My go-to chips and salasa place. You can never go wrong with the ACP! Cheesy goodness and chicken breast with a tab bit of veggies. Lol Standard service and ambiance.

took 2 friends to lunch last week; 1 app & 3 lunch entrees were $60.86 -- good food, but too expensive for lunch -- if these are the lunch prices, i couldn't afford the dinner menu (we arrived around 3:15 & the website showed lunch until 4pm)

Solid 4. It's a Mexican restaurant or like I always say an American Mexican restaurant. Food is what you expect of this typical cuisine. We went on Taco Tuesday. The odd thing? There was a DJ. At first reggaeaton (sp?) music. I was feeling the vibe. My sister? Not so much. Then we hear the customary staff happy bday song. The DJ switches to In Da Club. I was like that's cute "Go Shawty it's ya birthday...". After that straight hip hop / club vibe. Totally unexpected. There wasn't much of a crowd when we left around 9pm. Mind you the parking lot was packed packed when we arrived at 7pm. Either we weren't staying long enough or everyone was homecoming-ed out. There were a lot of college homecomings the previous weekend. I ordered the taco trio special. Doesn't look like a lot of food but trust me; it's plenty. What I didn't like were the actual tacos. They fall completely apart. They do not double up the tacos. Eat quickly don't let them sit or the taco will disintegrate. The fillings were flavorful and a wide variety from which to select. The slice of radish was odd not because it's on the taco but a singular circular slice? Let me get two halves. You'll see it in the photos white onions, cilantro and the pickled onions. To drink? Tecate. The table sign & website say $2 but the table sign says $3. Ummm but a can? Nah. I was expecting a mug of beer. I only got one. Won't be getting canned beer again should I go back. Too many draft options. I prefer draft. Not a beer snob! I am not above canned beer. No pictured is the choriqueso. Delicious! My Sister got the tequila chicken - Grilled chicken and veggies basically. I gotta say the mix of veggies caught my attention. Bright colors & nicely cut. C'mon! Ya'll have seen overcooked veggies almost drained it all color. What my sister was not impressed with? The mimosa flight. In fact she ordered a regular mimosa. I ended up finishing it. It was bad but wasn't that great either. Love the presentation but unless you're that indecisive, just order a regular sized drink. Also, I am going to learn my lesson about checking in after I order. I had an offer for a free small queso. Now, would I have ordered choriqueso too? Probabaly. I love the stuff. Last but not least, shout out to Alejandro. He was a great server. Checked in often. Didn't rush us through dinner service. Excellent job.

Impressive Service! Party of one... I was greeted and quickly seated. My server came to the table right away and welcomed me. She offered me their $6.99 20oz Margarita Special; so you know I had to take her up on that offer. Seconds later, another server brought me some chips and salsa. The chips were cold, but they tasted good, and the salsa was perfect. I ordered the Veggie Burrito and had a choice of 2 sides: guacamole salad, rice or refried beans. I don't eat meat and the server didn't know if the beans were cooked with meat juices, so I played it safe and ordered the rice and guacamole salad. My food arrived on the table fresh and piping hot. Everything tasted great. Very delicious and really hit the spot. My margarita was delicious too. After checking in on Yelp, I received a coupon for a free side of queso, so my server packed it to-go for me along with chips and salsa. Overall, this was a great experience and I'm so glad that I came across this place. The food was great, the restaurant and restrooms were clean, and my server Julissa was excellent. Julissa made sure to check up on me frequently to make sure I had everything that I needed. If I'm ever in the area again I'd definitely return. Highly Recommended!

Horrible service, got charged for 2 sweet teas when one of my refills was water. The alcohol drinks are watered down. Tacos came out watery, ordered shrimp tacos (3 taco trio) that doesn't state which protein. So I was uncharged for getting shrimp. They will not be getting any of my money anymore

OMG!!!!!! why didn't I know this restaurant was sooooo good! The Arroz con Pollo with Shrimp!!!!!! *Chefs Kiss* this is definitely going to be one of my new favorite spots!!!! I love this place and I can't wait to try more dishes from their menu !!!

I enjoyed my experience here. Fabian was my server and he was amazing and attentive. I went on Easter Sunday so it was a little busy, but our food came out in a timely manner. I feel like it could have been a little more cleanly, but I'm not sure if it's because of the busy holiday. The only thing I was disappointed with was the margarita flight (which is why I came). The drinks tasted too much like juice. Overall, I would recommend. The food was good, my favorite was the guacamole dip with the fried chips. I definitely want to go again and try other things on the menu and maybe another drink too lol

Great place for Mexican. They offer specialty drinks like Horchata and Mexican coke. They also have a really good homemade hot salsa that you can request for.

I was over by IKEA, and figured I'd try this place out! Great service and the food didn't disappoint! I would come back. There was live music starting up that I would have stayed but you know how much time you consume at IKEA, lol so it was perfect to get my steps in after eating. The fajitas were so good and if you must know I had flour tortillas!

We decided to stop by for dinner a few weeks ago, after we were in town visiting IKEA. This is a popular Tex-Mex restaurant chain and Charlotte has two locations. This location has plenty of parking and they can accommodate small and large vehicles. Upon entering we was greeted by a friendly and courteous staff. The decor was like a standard Mexican restaurant, and they have a full bar as well. The menu offers a wide variety of delicious and traditional dishes. Overall the food that we ordered tasted good, but we had to add some salt and pepper because it was kinda of bland.

So many choices to choose from, which means you have to go more than once! The food was seasoned very well, the large portions, the service provided met the needs of our large group, and the DJ topped it off with the music. Will definitely return to try other options.

I have been a long time vegetarian customer of this restaurant and have enjoyed my visits. Turned vegan in 2023 and this is the first time after that and felt so disappointed with food and services. Firstly, I would love to see some vegan options here as I asked for vegetarian burrito with no dip and it tasted really bad, not sure why would a burrito be sweet ? Second, their services sucked, it is a Monday and the restaurant is not even half full still we ended up waiting for half an hour. We got chips and salsa and drinks and any refill took forever. Anyways I really want to request the owner to please add some vegan options, so people like us can enjoy the place again.

My close friend and I ate lunch here and we really enjoyed it. We sat at the bar and our bartender was great. The food, service and ambiance was great. We will be back soon

Upon walking in, I knew it was going to be a good dining experience. We was seated immediately and the waiter was waiting on us. We sat and ordered within 10 minutes of getting there. The service was amazing. The food was amazing. The best version of Texas Rice I have ever had! it had veggies in it and so much I had to take the rest home! I loved the ambiance. When we left they had a DJ setting up and looked like it was going to be a good time in there. I came back a second time before heading back to Charleston. I will be back if ever in the area!

I've been coming to Mi Pueblo for YEARSSSSS now. I always get the supreme ACP and it never fails me. The portion is huge so you'll have plenty of leftovers. Recently, we went and I actually looked at the other times on the menu and made a vow to try everything. The food always comes out really fast and the servers and bartenders are super friendly.

My lady has visited the Sardis Road location and believes that location is closer to authentic Mexican but we specifically visited the University location and definitely found that to be quite an experience. Number one, for those of you looking for truly authentic Mexican vibes, I would probably avoid this location on Thursday nights. Evidently, they have a local DJ spinning hip-hop tunes at a pretty loud decibel level starting at about 8 PM. And while I am a big fan of hip-hop, it was definitely disconcerting to hear hard-core rap music being played in what I found to be a pretty impressive and large Mexican themed restaurant. While we were dining, we noticed several other couples and families come in and immediately turn around and head back to their cars once they heard the music and saw the crowd at the bar. Of the food we ordered, the highlight for me was the chorizo dip. While it wasn't anything extra ordinary, it was definitely a well executed version. Everything else I hate to say, was pretty standard, and typical of what you would usually assume you would get at a fairly affordable Mexican restaurant in terms of portion, size and quality. We both took portions of our meal home, but neither of us finished them. Service was pretty good and we didn't have to wait long at all for the food to come out Not sure if I would visit again for the food but the drinks were definitely large and strong, so there's that.

Quick and friendly service. Fresh food served hot. I ordered the burrito especial and it was so good. I checked in on the Yelp app upon my arrival and was pleasantly surprised to see a coupon for a free small cheese dip pop up. Not sure how long that deal will pop up but certainly check in and take advantage!

I'm so glad we decided to stop by here for dinner. It was a nice experience. The food was so full of flavor and the portion size was very generous. They have a very nice selection at their bar. Hubby enjoyed Don Julio 1942 which was a bar special. They give you bottomless tortilla chips and dip. It was so good my 2 year old couldn't stop eating them. I ordered the Supreme ACP and it was soooo good. I had plenty to take home. Also I had the beef street taco. My Hubby ordered the Fajitas Quesadilla and said his was very good too. I enjoyed how tender and flat the steak was. Our waitress was friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. The kids meals were also pretty good my kids mostly enjoyed the fries. We will definitely be back for another tasty meal.

My guy asked me out for lunch and of course I said yes! He suggested Mi Pueblo because I love Mexican food. I was late meeting him there but all was well. We ordered our food and the waiter (Erick) was very kind and attentive. The restaurant was clean and the food was amazing and delicious. I had the ACP Supreme with grilled chicken, steak, shrimp with mixed veggies and mushrooms. If you like to spice it up ask for the house hot sauce. My guy had the three hard shell tacos chicken, beef, and steak. Needless to say he ate all of his food. My plate was huge so, I took most of mine home. They have a bar so you can order drinks. Go and enjoy You won't be disappointed.

Visited for the first time for my sisters birthday. We were a party of 8 and were sat immediately! We had one server who was very attentive. Drinks were constantly filled, requests were met promptly and everything came out quickly. I had the supreme acp with chicken, steak, and shrimp. Everything was cooked to perfection but I personally would opt out of the cheese sauce next time. There was more than enough food with plenty to take home. I'll definitely be back again.

Stopped in here on a Saturday night and was seated fairly quickly. Our server was kind and friendly. It took us awhile to get chips and salsa. We ordered queso to go with it but didn't have chips and salsa. Eventually our server brought it over to our table to enjoy. It wasn't crazy busy that night so our food came out fast and hot. I ordered the fajita quesadilla which was so big. I had no idea. I didn't finish it and had leftovers the next day. The steak was a little chewy but overall the flavor was good. My husband ordered the chicken burrito. The flavor was good and the chicken was good. We also had margaritas. Somehow mine didn't get tequila but nonetheless our server was kind enough to grab an extra shot for me. Everything was just ok here, but they have plenty of options to choose from.

Our waiter was awesome, super kind & accommodating. Great margaritas (you can take to go) and honestly wonderful food. Great menu selections & we loved our picks. 2 thumbs up!!

My boyfriend and I were in Charlotte and as usual we stopped in to grab some lunch! We were seated right away... can't remember our waiters name but it was a guy and he was extremely attentive and had great customer service! The food was fresh and good. I got the steak chimichanga and it was delish! My boyfriend got one of the lunch specials... we indulged in our adult beverages... the restaurant was nice and clean! I'd definitely recommend.
