Last night, 12/19, my family and I finally visited the new location. It's astonishing to see how the Burnet Road neighborhood has undergone a complete transformation. The new Mama Betty's location is aesthetically pleasing, and I appreciate the convenience of the parking garage. The ambiance of MB's is impressive, featuring a spacious outdoor patio, vibrant neon colors, parrot-style lights, and a roomy bar. The music selection effectively set a positive tone. I was particularly impressed by the 'frozen' Mexican martini, a unique and delicious offering that has become my new favorite frozen drink. The food was exceptional, with the all-beef fajitas being the standout dish. The beef was of high quality, juicy, and cooked to perfection, with a flavor rating of 10/10 when paired with the grilled onions. Notably, MB's prepares fresh tortillas, with both the corn and flour options being equally impressive. We also shared the queso flameado with chorizo, which boasted delightful cheese and a satisfying salty flavor from the chorizo. The cheese pull was exceptional. I was eager to try other dishes, particularly the enchiladas, on my next visit. Although the wait time for a table was lengthy, it was anticipated for a Friday evening. I would like to mention that MB's shares a space with Foxtails, a sleek and vibrant lounge that appears to be an ideal spot to enjoy a drink before or after dinner. In conclusion, the new Mama Betty's is outstanding, with a staff that provided exceptional service. I would like to extend a special acknowledgment to a young Latino gentleman who assisted at the front check-in desk. Although I cannot recall his name, his customer service skills were outstanding, and he effectively alleviated the wait time for a table. I eagerly anticipate my next visit.
