Mama Betty's Tex-Mex - Burnet rd

Mama Betty's Tex-Mex on Burnet Rd. has opened. We stopped in for an appetizer and a drink. The space has a great outdoor patio. Fun atmosphere for sure. Our chicken and beef fajita combo nachos was delicious. I like the red and green salsa that's served with the chips. They have a station where they make homemade tortillas !! We definitely will be back soon . The decor is really vibrant and fun. Great addition to the neighborhood !

Omg! Really really amazing food! Perfect tex mex. Service was amazing. One of the prettiest restaurants I've ever been in. We started with Queso, chips and salsa. There is also a avocado creama. Very good. I had a burrito classico with ground beef. We also had Shrimp Diablo and the shrimp was perfectly cooked. This is a place everyone needs to try.

This is just the place Burnet road needed. Delicious Tex-Mex and a killer bar. The parking is really easy with the attached parking garage and the food was spot on. My Carne Asada was grilled perfectly medium with an amazing mesquite grilled flavor. The frozen Mexican Martini was unique and definitely something I will be back for.

What a great new addition to Burnet Road! The food is absolutely fantastic — every dish was fresh and full of flavor. The restaurant is beautiful inside and out, with a warm, welcoming atmosphere and a stylish design. The patio is especially nice — perfect for relaxing with friends or family. This restaurant is excellent! We’re very excited to have it close to our neighborhood. I don’t normally like tex mex– it’s too salty. Mama Betty’s is very different. Food is absolutely delicious. Flavorful, and the Mesquite grilled fajitas are definitely legit. The whole staff is very friendly, and our waiter was very courteous, very helpful, and successfully split up three different families at the same table with 3 different checks with apparent ease. I was impressed. Definitely making this a regular outing for my family and I.

Absolutely LOVE this place! From Dallas looking for our new favorite and we just found it! Delicious food and drinks. The outdoor patio is the best vibe and our waitress Natalie was a dream. Couldn’t say enough about her service and hospitality. Can’t wait to come back and see her!! Officially a Mama Betty’s regular! 🖤

Yesterday was my dad’s 69th birthday and I wanted to take him out for a special lunch. I noticed the new Mama Betty’s Mexican location just opened on Burnet Road and was excited to try it — I’d heard good things. My dad ordered the shrimp enchiladas, and I got a combo plate with fajitas on the side. The taco and enchilada were pretty good, but the rice had hard pieces and the beans were just okay — not much flavor. The biggest issue was the fajita meat, which was noticeably pink and undercooked. I asked the server if that was normal. He tried to take it back to cook more, but he didn’t have a plate or utensils to put it on. It was clear he was new and didn’t have much restaurant experience. He was polite, just under-trained. Honestly, the food was just OK overall — but I’ve felt sick ever since the meal and have been in and out of the restroom all day. That’s the part that made me write this review. I really wanted this place to be great, especially for my dad’s birthday lunch. I’m hoping they work out the kinks because the concept is good — they just need more training and consistency in the kitchen.

He always takes the time to ensure that each dish is prepared to perfection and that every detail meets the highest standards. His attentiveness, kindness, and dedication to quality make every dining experience excellent. The food is consistently delicious under his supervision, and his service truly sets him apart.
