Mama Betty's Tex-Mex - Burnet Rd

Mama Betty’s Tex-Mex is a very fun spot with good food and great service to back it up. We recently came after a day of work to celebrate a coworkers retirement party and the staff was incredibly accommodating to our group. The parking situation is easy on arrival with a lot behind the restaurant and a garage next door. The place itself has a nice mix of modern and traditional Mexican feel to it with a decently sized menu to boot. It features a nice bar as well if you’d like to grab a few drinks instead of opting for the sit down vibe.The outside area was covered with lights and had walls that went up, which was a really beautiful and fun atmosphere. Our server was incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our time there, which made us feel very welcomed. The service was amazing- I noticed that he, along with the other waiters, are extremely attentive toward the tables. For food we got the barbacoa enchiladas with a side of refried beans and lime cilantro rice, cheese enchiladas, some chips and salsa, and a tres leches cake to finish it off. Everything was delicious. The barbacoa enchiladas were a standout, very savory and a nice texture to the enchilada. Some places make their enchiladas feel so soggy but here it had just the right amount of heaviness to it. Likewise, the chips came with a salsa with a nice kick and this green crema that was out of this world. The only mixup was that we ordered a cheese quesadilla and got a cheese enchilada instead, but even that was still tasty. We honestly thought coming here we would have a fun little time after work and nothing more, but this place is seriously good. We aren’t the biggest fans of Tex-Mex, but if it tastes like this place then maybe we need to change that.

Went to Mama Betty’s Tex-Mex for dinner with three friends on December 30th, and the place had a really nice New Year’s Eve vibe — lively, energetic, and festive. The atmosphere was great, making it a fun spot to hang out and enjoy dinner. There was a short wait, but it was worth it once we were seated. I ordered the Chicken Fajitas, which were flavorful and well-cooked, and I’d definitely recommend them. My friends ordered the Veggie Quesadilla and Chicken Quesadillas, and they enjoyed their meals as well. We also had chips and salsa, which were fresh and tasty. Overall, the food was very good, the vibe was on point, and the experience felt perfect for the time of year. With good food, a festive atmosphere, and a fun crowd, Mama Betty’s made for a great dinner spot to kick off the holiday celebrations. Must-try: Chicken Fajitas 🌮🔥

Great spot that has indoor and outdoor seating. The bar is accessible to both indoors and outdoors as well. Parking garage is available for patrons, they will validate parking for you. The queso flameado was really good, the homemade corn tortillas were perfect and my companions sour cream enchiladas were filled with plump juicy chicken. She was raving about the refried beans being some of the best she's had in a while. The salsa was good and not super spicy like some establishments. The music and the vibe were all top notch.

Don’t hesitate to ask for spicier salsa! If you’re like us you’ll need to get creative to make the queso exceptional and the salsa helps. The chips are a very nice vehicle for the queso but the flautas were the star being crispy without being greasy with amazing toppings. Very sad to not be able to try the carne asada fries…devastating. Will return for fries and parrots.

Mama Betty's Tex-Mex on Burnet Rd. has opened. We stopped in for an appetizer and a drink. The space has a great outdoor patio. Fun atmosphere for sure. Our chicken and beef fajita combo nachos was delicious. I like the red and green salsa that's served with the chips. They have a station where they make homemade tortillas !! We definitely will be back soon . The decor is really vibrant and fun. Great addition to the neighborhood !

We got mixed reviews from friends but figured we’d try it out anyway.. we had a great time. The Tejas enchiladas I got were really good. Had a nice light smoke flavor to the meat and the carne sauce looked similar to Mole. Really good. My fiance got one of the lunch combos to try different things. All good! And for real, all Mexican restaurants should have home made tortillas! It’s so awesome getting a couple of fresh torts to wrap up your meal….. or sop it up!😜 margaritas were just right, and they had a nice menu of drinks! All in all good time!

Mama Betty’s new spot off Burnet Rd is SUCH a vibe. The space feels fresh and fun but still super welcoming — perfect for date night or pulling up with friends. I ordered the Diablo quesadilla and let me just say… it was so insanely good I only got half a picture before demolishing it 😭🔥 Seriously one of those dishes where you take a bite and immediately go quiet. So flavorful, perfectly cooked, just chef’s kiss. And Noah??? An absolute gem. He was so on top of everything without hovering — super personable, knew the menu, gave great recommendations, and just made the whole night feel smooth and easy. Even when it got busy, he stayed calm and locked in. Drinks were full, timing was perfect, everything just flowed. It was my birthday and he even surprised me with complimentary sopapillas, which was such a sweet touch and really made the night feel special. That’s the kind of service that sticks with you. I will 100% be asking for Noah every single time. Management — hold onto him. He’s a star. ✨

This was our first time at Mama Betty’s, and it blew us away. The fajitas were the best I’ve ever tasted, perfectly seasoned, tender, and full of flavor. Everything we ordered was delicious, and the service was truly phenomenal. The staff made us feel welcomed from the moment we walked in. We’ll definitely be coming back.
