Mama Chang

The egg soup was pretty good but the lo-mein and spicy beef were pretty flavorless. The noodles were pretty much spaghetti in some brown sauce. The beef was cooked pretty good, but really didn’t have any flavor. Maybe other items are better but I’m not impressed.

Been coming here since I was 5. They used to be in a fiesta mart for 40 years. Family owned and run, now second generation. You can still catch the OG mama and papa chang once awhile, they still work and greet their customers here from time to time. All their family members and staffs are super nice folks with amazing work ethics. Food is always amazing and fresh. Their special combo plate is awesome. You are not going to find cheaper prices anywhere else for the same value you are getting. Whenever I or others that I saw experienced an issue, they always rectify it on the spot and make it right. They are expanding their menu and offerings at this new location, can’t wait to try all the new stuff!

Been coming for this food since I was a kid! Loved the food immediately after my parents bought me plate when they were still in fiesta, now that I’m a parent myself, I showed my kids the food and they love it as well! Happy they got their own store and recognition! Well deserved!

She use to be inside of fiesta brings back memories. The food is delicious better then panda if you ask me it got is unique taste. The people there are amazing she even got another location on Blalock google mama chang if ya haven't try it out go show some love 40yrs in business.

Great little spot for some Chinese food. Food was delicious and for a solid price. The restaurant is very clean and the service was excellent! Definitely a place to check out for a quick bite!

Their food never disappoints, fresh, the service is great! It's our go to Chinese food. We Door Dash it and it's here in no time .just what we need it during Holiday madness.

I ordered delivery from mama chang. I got the special and seemed like a great deal but there was barely any meat. Usually a whole compartment will be the protein but they fill the whole plate with rice and then put just a little protein on top. The flavor was really good though.

First time trying this little restaurant and thought it was such a cute place. I got to meet the owner and she was the absolute nicest. I ordered the bowl with lo mein and mama Chang's chicken. For the price, you get a good amount of chicken. I do wish there were some more veggies, but the flavor was good. The bowl was under $7 and the perfect quantity for lunch. For anyone in the area looking for a quick lunch on a budget, I definitely recommend Mama Changs. Very similar to Panda Express (but better IMHO) and a great way to support the sweetest small business owner!

I am normally disappointed with Chinese take out orders but this was an outstanding and a great surprise of food. Here we are sitting in Houston after the Derecho weather that has knocked out our power. Everything, including our stove, is powered by electricity. My wife was, as I secretly was, very hungry so she ordered Chinese. Normally take out would be either quantity over quality but not now. The serving was large enough for two meals but because I was on the verge of being hangry and not sure when I would get my next meal I enjoyed it all in one sitting. Not to mention the awesome flavor that easily converted me to gluttony. The service was easy to order and the delivery was so quick it made me a bit uneasy especially knowing that they would be closed in an hour. Man was I wrong, nothing tasted like the end of the day, bottom of the barrel food. I love spicy tasty food that I have eaten in many Asian countries and this food was authentic Chinese. I had the spicy Hunan beef platter and of course I had to add their spicy oil and I mean SPICY. My wife had the beef and peppers and she loved it also. The only downside is that their super large egg rolls were not very large and on the expensive side. The bottom line that counts is that we will definitely be ordering from Mama again and they made it to my Collections here on YELP. Don't miss this restaurant and it's menu.

It's simple, the food needs to be better. The chow mien, isn't chow mien. It's literally spaghetti noodles cooked with half way decent teriyaki sauce. The orange chicken was over cooked and the Kung Pao chicken has no flavor and the egg roll's consistency provides a taste like it's been sitting out all day. If you want "Hood Chinese" food, this is the place for you. The Panda Express on Silber Road around the corner is providing better tasting food than this place. I would NOT recommend trying.

Food is decent, the serving was a bit like panda. Would i recommend? Yes the flavor is there and it was delicious.

This is American Chinese food, but is better made than most. The usual too salty, but at least not syrupy sweet, nor very greasy, and a good amount of vegetables like zucchini and carrot added. The eggrolls/spring rolls just typical. Ordered to go. All was hot and fresh - got a mix of different meats (none overcooked) and they were all fine. Built as a to-go spot.

This location just opened in my neighborhood. Super friendly owner and made the mama Chang chicken fresh to order. She told us that the original restaurant had a super popular stall in a fiesta for 30 years. I had not heard of this restaurant before, but glad I found it. Nice, quick go-to Chinese fast food close to home. I wasn't the biggest fan of the noodles(to be fair, I rarely prefer anything but white rice with my Chinese food), but the fries and white rice were good. We got the homemade chili oil for $3 and that was definitely the move

Food was not good at all. They sell crack rice for the fried rice was absolutely terrible

First time in here. Owner was so sweet and kind. We got the #7 and #8. Best Chinese food I have had so far. Our plates were 10.25 each and it was worth it! Came with an egg roll as well. Egg roll was cold but still yummy. I would come back.
