Google
Great place to go! The service is excellent. The coffee is the freshest I've had! It was sooo good i went back a couple hours later for a second cup! Their everything bagel was toasted perfectly. Went with a group a friends and unexpectedly ran into another group of friends. It was a great day for sure and Mama Hawk's made it more enjoyable! The fireplace and cozy atmosphere helped take the chill out of the damp day (it was a chilly rainy day that day) too!

This is a great Cafe ☕️ in Peddlers village. The themed menu is such a cool thing to have. Had a iced coffee with chocolate syrup and it was absolutely good. A pastry I got here was the peach cinnamon roll which is a must, and had good taste with the peaches 🍑 in it. The workers here were very nice and welcoming. I will definitely be back to try there other goodies and they have lunch here as well which is perfect 👍.

Stopped in to grab a bite to eat and coffee during the madness of Peddlers Village in the summer months. Staff was great, worked quick, really friendly, atmosphere is great as well, laid back place,.where the rating drops is the food, the food is not food, it's premade, frozen "food"....3 out of 4 people took a few bites and couldn't finish their sandwiches, the 4th was a 6 year old who happily ate his bagel with egg and cheese. It's been a while since I felt like I waisted $ at a food establishment but $70+ for 3 drinks and 4 "sandwiches", 2 of which was on 1 single piece of bread, was definitely a waste.

Google
We got the blueberry and basil infused cold brew. It literally was not coffee. It tasted like watered down blueberry juice, pretty absurd to call that coffee. We asked if we could exchange it and they said no but they could throw some espresso in there which was nice. Just ridiculous to call that a blueberry infused cold brew and not a blueberry juice, like give people a heads up before they spend 6 dollars on a cup of water. The kid was nice and tried to help us but the woman who made the drink was rude and was really annoyed with us because we didn't like our 6 dollar cup of blueberry water

Maura Kelleher

Google
We went in and ordered one of their special cold brews. The “coffee” tasted exactly like tea and we could see through it like it was water or tea so we asked the barista, saying we must have been given the wrong drink. The barista said that the drink was correct and that the cold brew was mixed with water but I didn’t taste any coffee, and any way that is not how it was advertised. We nicely asked if we could either get a refund or a different drink and we were rudely told no. If we wanted a different coffee, we would have to pay for it. So we threw the drinks out and left, $13 in the trash. I was very disappointed in how they treated us and their customer service.

✨ I stopped in Mama Hawk’s kitchen + coffee shop to warmup. 🧡🩷🩵 Also, to share a sweet treat with my mom.✨Retro modern coffee shop ☕️ ⭐️ I had a Chestnut Praline hot latte, really good. 😀💕😊 - Down the Shore coffee shop vibes ✨ Nice + Relaxing experience. Highly Recommend

Google
Went here during the excessive heat in hopes of finding some nice iced drinks and was not disappointed- there’s a ton of options! We got the Tropical Harmony smoothie & Westley and Anne Shirley sodas. Personally, I got the Westley soda and it had amazing tropical flavors. My mom got the smoothie which has no sugar added and is all natural- she loved it! Service was friendly. There’s plenty of seating indoors and outdoors as well! Very cute and colorful inside. I’ve also been here during the winter season and their hot chocolate and coffee are really good as well.

Yelp
Great service and food was pretty good but nothing insane. I liked the cinnamon bun latte a lot! However -- boyfriend got the ham on a sandwich and said it tasted funky so he ended up tossing it (I think he was just being dramatic). Very cute place!
google avatar

Yelp
Loved the ambiance and decor, a very cozy spot. I ordered a decaf cappuccino with oat milk, it was good but wish the espresso flavor was stronger (might just be their decaf).

Yelp
First time visiting Mama Hawk's yesterday with family. My wife and daughters have been in a few times and told me good things. The interior vibe is adorable and cozy. We were a party of six and found a large table to accommodate all of us. The village wasn't too crowded yesterday which probably helped our experience :-). The service was fantastic. Friendly and attentive folks behind the counter and bringing out our food order. The food...absolutely delicious!!! We ordered a few paninis and flatbreads. We had the "I'd Die for BBQ" and the "Can't Touch This Caprese". Both were amazing, especially the BBQ sandwich. Bread was perfectly toasted and had the perfect crunch. We also had the "Caprese Lover's" flatbread which was also fantastic. Highly, highly recommend. The drinks were also great even though I had a Hank's Birch Beer. I did try my wife's coffee drink.

Yelp
I'm really into strawberry + coffee combination lately, and this latte did not disappoint. I loved this monthly Lucky Charms special, complete with a marshmallow topping. The ambiance in this place is also so cool. Would love to come back to try their food!

Yelp
Did the peddlers village visit during the holidays, in the evening and it was packed as expected, but beautifully lit up! Stopped in for coffee to warm up. We all got lattes to keep warm on a cold winters day. The line was long, but quick. The bathrooms were supposedly out of service but I suspect it was due to the crowds. The lattes were delicious and hit the spot. The muffin of the day, pistachio, was super dry. 5 star for coffee and 3 for muffin. Split the difference at 4 overall.

Yelp
We spent a post-Thanksgiving small business Saturday here which turned out to be quite the trip. Mama Hawk's felt like visiting your auntie's place. Nice, inviting, and open with vibrant colors as you walk in Their raspberry muffins hit the spot!

Yelp
We were looking for a snack while wandering through Peddler's Village and happened to come across this spot. It was crowded during our weekend visit though we were able to get a table. The cinnamon bun was okay - nothing to write home about. My friends ordered a pizza and grilled cheese which were fine as well but nothing special. The food takes a while to come out but drink orders were completed pretty quickly. This restaurant has a casual ambience. We did enjoy the little live counter they had up on the wall that changes to reflect their number of Instagram followers - definitely a cute touch.
google avatar

Yelp
We go to peddler's village often and this is our usual stop for coffee. Honestly, the drinks aren't great at all. The coffee is bitter - consistently. They do have a good variety. The food is much better (the sugar cookies are fabulous) and the interior is clean and cute.

Yelp
Was early for a business meeting. Super hungry and craving for latte. There were no cafes on the highway that I could see so did a quick google search on cafes near where I was and this place came up. What a cute little establishment!! Well, not little. It's two big rooms. Where you enter you'll see places to sit and eat. Pass that, and you're in the open concept bar/kitchen/cashier with additional seating. Felt like home. Ordered a latte with oat milk along with avocado toast. Options to add to avocado toast included eggs and bacon. What was great is the gluten free bread option which I ordered. Girl at the counter was so nice. This place is a not to miss! I may come back for lunch!

Jeannine R.

Yelp
Really wanted to like this place more. Ordered online pick up and was somewhat surprised by the high prices. I have no issues paying a bit more for food if the quality matches. Two bagel sandwiches - the bagels were so enormous you could barely see the tiny "scrambled" egg and sausage patty. The soups were lukewarm warm but tasty. Flatbread pizza looked thrown together with a frozen pizza taste. Total: $62 for two bagel sandwiches, 2 small soups and a flatbread pizza. Then I added on two teas which came out to $10 more. We will be finding another place for our early morning breakfast runs.

Yelp
I LOVE this place! My goodness, it's awesome. They have vegan cheese, gluten free bread... say less. I love their booths, their bright colors, people here are super friendly, I love the cute little Instagram counter, the fun ambiance, everything. I came here to work for a little bit and there are plenty of outlets. It looks like they have WiFi but I couldnt find it on my computer but that's fine with me because I have an air card. Parking is great on a Monday morning and I get to go to walk around Peddler's Village after. What a win. This is poetry - not sure why it's not more packed but that means more room for me! :)

Yelp
A vintage soda shoppe with a modern menu? Upon walking into Mama Hawk's, you might think you're Marty McFly venturing back to 1955, but don't be too surprised; it's still 2024. We've got the checkered tile, an old rotary phone (that still works), and buckets of retro mom-and-pop charm. However, all of the selections are very modern and distinct. The seasonal Candy Corn Latte, in particular, was one of the most delicious cups of coffee I've had in a long time! The flatbread pizza was just out-of-this-world amazing as well. I didn't have much time to spend; otherwise, I would've really taken more advantage of this place, but to say I was pleasantly surprised would've been an understatement. Mama Hawk's is a true find!
google avatar

Yelp
We wanted to have some coffee and a bite of something small to eat but the food menu is very limited and not a lot of offerings that would work for a vegetarian. Got an oat milk cappuccino and it was ok, kind of watery. Cute but we moved on to find someplace to eat at.
google avatar

Mark G.

Yelp
Pistachio muffin was delicious. Ambiance is unchanged from the prior owners. No glassware everything is plastic and trashable. Nothing is washable or re usable. It was clean and neat however. I prefer my espresso in a glass cup. None available. The coffee was passable my espresso was not hot when served. My wife's cappuccino on the other hand was boiling hot. No biscotti either. Bad. A modest but nice looking menu. A pic is attached. An ok place for a coffee and small bite. Service was fine and folks at the counter were friendly and helpful. Nancy & Mark.

Yelp
Mama Hawk's is the place to stop for a cup of something sweet and a quick bite to eat in the busy Peddlers Village area. One main highlight is their plethora of drink offerings! Mama Hawk's has a full coffee bar, tea, chai, matcha, hot chocolate, and novelty sodas! I have had the opportunity to most of their drink options (except coffee because I don't like coffee) and I loved every one! Thick yummy hot chocolate, the right amount of sweetness and spice in the hot chai, and super sweet novelty sodas. My favorite novelty soda was the "Holly Golightly" which is coke with cherry and lime! After it's amazing drink selection, I would definitely suggest trying Mama Hawk's baked goods which feature cookies, cinnamon buns, cupcakes, and many more desserts! Mama Hawk bakes them herself, they often feature a video of the process on their business Instagram! I highly suggest trying the cinnamon buns as well, if the chai-flavored one is available - GET IT! It was the best cinnamon roll I have ever had and it was to die for!!! For their other food, they offer paninis and flatbreads. Recently, my friend ordered this Turkey Panini. She gave it a 4 out of 5 and she said it was very good, just stuffed with a little too much turkey. I have yet to try their flatbreads but I see them being ordered often. If you have been to Peddlers, you know how busy all the stores get on festival nights or the weekends during the holidays. Mama Hawk's is also packed during these times, so be prepared to wait in line when coming here during those times. Other than that, expect there to be some people but you may or may not find a line. I definitely suggest going during the day or less crowded times of the year to eat inside or outside to enjoy the cool blue ambiance and nice seating. Definitely a great place to bring a friend to catch up or work on your laptop! I also noticed you can order ahead of time to skip the wait! I would definitely suggest doing that during busy times.
google avatar

Re M.

Yelp
Lovely little place. But 20.5 minutes for a bagel, hot chocolate, and smoothie is far too long to wait.
google avatar

Laura F.

Yelp
Fun variety of drinks. My aunt got the Sherlock iced latte and we were all stealing sips because it was SO decadent and delightful! Also shared the peach streusel or cinnamon bun thing. Warmed up...omg. Perfectly oooey gooey goodness! Maybe we went on an off cleaning day because the mod chairs in the front were stained and I could visibly see drink spills on the walls in the front half of the cafe. Still going back and ordering more deliciousness next time. Also there's plenty of cute tables and chairs inside and outside.

Kathy S.

Yelp
Always wanted to try this place. When going in, it smells heavenly from the cinnamon buns and such. I ordered three BLT's , 12 bucks each, which came with maybe two pieces of bacon on each sandwich, very small tomatoes, wilted lettuce and a ton of mayo. I was expecting a little more out of the sandwich than what I received. I probably should have just gotten a dessert, which looked delicious, especially the peach muffin.
google avatar

Stephanie P.

Yelp
A super cute coffee shop in Peddler's Village. They have a large menu with a ton of coffee, tea, food and sweet treats. I went with an iced coffee with almond milk. They also offer year round and seasonal flavor options. I just wish they had coconut milk!
google avatar

Lindsay S.

Yelp
it's so loud in here definitely not a quiet coffee shop. hot chocolate is amazing. tasted rich
google avatar

Jocelyn O.

Yelp
This place do not even deserve the one star. But it's for the Decent order line service. The wait took forever, the service was super slow. Then when my cappuccino was finally made, it was only a quarter cup filled and was just all foam. It was subpar coffee. Also it was very disappointing that they charged an extra $1.00 for almond milk eventho pricing stated additional $0.50. Not worth the stop!

Risa M.

Yelp
We needed some breakfast food so we stopped in. Honestly? I wasn't expecting much. It was not an expensive place. The place's atmosphere was so clean & arranged in an open and pretty manner. BUT what grabbed us were our breakfast sandwiches!!! The bagels were....OMG!!!Not since I left Brooklyn, did I have such a good one! It was crispy outside but fluffy on the inside! The sandwich of eggs and breakfast meat was so big!!! The coffee was very good too! Stop by at Mama's! You won't be sorry!!!
google avatar

BA F.

Yelp
Kennedy was super friendly and very knowledgeable about the options I had as a person with Celiac! Service was excellent! Food was great! Price was reasonable. Definitely a place worth repeat visits!

Lila D.

Yelp
Really bad iced coffee. Hardly any ice, tasted like dirt. I did have to throw the entire thing in the trash.

Gayle S.

Yelp
Go here if you want a sandwich that costs a fortune, takes forever to make, and tastes horrible. The chicken salad on cheddar was the worst yet. (I forget how bad they are and go back like once a year.) Waaaay too much mayo and seriously - relish?!!!!! Gross tasting. The cheddar roll falls apart in your hands. None of their food has ever been easy to hold or eat, in my memory. Baked goods look better than they taste, as well, and are also $$$. There are several better choices in Peddler's Village if you are hungry!
google avatar

Rod H.

Yelp
Incredibly good breakfast sandwich - get the cheddar cheese roll rather than the panini; you'll thank me. The employees are polite and the restaurant is clean and bright. I wish they had more than one breakfast sandwich option. My only criticism is the price. The breakfast sandwich is $11 and small at that. While I think the size of the sandwich is actually ideal, the price is not. I would love to be a regular and try all of their other (lunch) sandwiches ($13+), but I simply can't afford to visit with any real frequency.
google avatar

Don R.

Yelp
Comfortable resturant with a limited menu. Back area has a great view of natural area.staff is very fine. Coffee is good. Great for lunch of tea.
google avatar

AnnaLisa R.

Yelp
We walked into this shop for hot chocolate on a rainy, snowy Saturday night for the Fire & Ice event. We ordered 2 hot chocolates....... $18 ..... need I say more. We won't be visiting there again.
google avatar

Meghna B.

Yelp
I love this little spot in Peddler's Village! The decor inside is really cute and cozy. I got a cinnamon bun, the chicken salad sandwich, and the cinnamon bun latte. The cinnamon bun was the perfect level of sweetness, make sure to ask for it warmed up to get it extra soft! The chicken salad sandwiches was called simply the best and I highly recommend ordering it. The cheddar bun for that sandwich is soo good. The latte was also good but a little too sweet for me. This will be my new go to spot whenever I'm home!
google avatar

Juliet B.

Yelp
This is exactly what you want in a cute little town. A cute little bakery with a cute nostalgic owner offering incredible food and breakfast items. This coffee cake was amazing and beautifully buttery.
google avatar

Paulene C.

Yelp
I really wanted to like this place, but there was just too many things wrong. First, the woman taking the orders was rude to customers. Second, I ordered a cinnamon bun and was given a pumpkin cinnamon bun. No where did I even see a sign stating that they were pumpkin cinnamon buns, there was only a sign that said classic cinnamon buns. As someone who HATES pumpkin, I was very disappointed. Third, my breakfast panini was cold and the bread was over baked so it was hard. They are clearly understaffed, so I feel for them, but everything about this experience was just truly disappointing.
google avatar

Patty T.

Yelp
Ehhh.. cute little store, bright and fun. Large menu with a lot of choices... bake goods look delicious. Approached the counter after waiting ten mins in line, a girl sat at the register taking orders and just looked at me, no greeting, no "hi! What can I get you today?!", nothing.. just stared at me. You thought it would kill her to say hi or smile. Only when I said hi and asked her how she was doing is when she decided to give me a unmotivated "hi." Ordered a matcha latte iced with sweetener and it was everything but that. It was basically a cup of green milk with a side of grittiness from the matcha powder. Nothing spectacular, had better at Dunkin' Donuts. And on top of that.. it cost $7. They can keep their green cup of milk and unfriendly cashier.
google avatar

Lucy P.

Yelp
First off this place and the owner are adorable. Second I am glad I dont live close to these amazing buns. My husband and I stopped in for a small breakfast bite. We order two of their buns. Pecan and Peach. They are fluffy and light but just the right level of sweet. This will definitely be a go to when I come to Peddler's village.
google avatar

Michelle O.

Yelp
Visiting for a few days. Came her for breakfast the first morning. Got a cinnamon roll with cream cheese icing. It was delicious. Wish it was larger! Got the BLT and that was good. Good size sandwich. And an iced chai tea. All in all good breakfast. Clean, staff was very nice and friendly. Definitely go back if I was closer.
google avatar

Victoria D.

Yelp
Cute place. Got one of the fall special coffees, which was very good. Would like to go back and try more.
google avatar

Christopher R.

Yelp
This was our first time stopping at Mama Hawk's kitchen and coffee peddler's village. Excellent variety of food, drink and coffee. Cute decor and immaculate tables, counters, and bathrooms. Well done
google avatar

Amy E.

Yelp
The cookies were really good. I had a caramel frappe and it was too much. Very over the top sweet and just doused in so much caramel sauce. Now don't get me wrong I do like sweet, but this was too much. I wound up tossing it because it was overly sweet. I don't mind coffee flavor, but this was just caramel sauce. I'm curious what other coffee beverages taste like and thought it was cool all the different syrups they use. I just don't want it as sweet as it was made. Staff was very sweet and it did get quite busy after we sat down, they seemed to manage really well.
google avatar

Sara L.

Yelp
Think retro diner (with a cute and cozy fireplace) meets quaint seaside cafe. It all works together well. It's so fun and adorable inside. The service, food and ambiance were all amazing. We ordered online and picked up our food to go since dining in is not an option at the moment. The staff could not have been friendlier - so nice and efficient. I ordered the caprese panini with chicken and a hot chocolate (on their menu it's called the Pipi Longstocking, I believe). I opted for oat milk for the hot chocolate and it's absolutely one of the best hot chocolates I've ever had. The panini was good also, especially the bread. Pricing is appropriate for Peddler's Village - a little on the higher end, but that's consistent with the location. I wish they were closer to me (in Philly), but next time I'm in Peddler's Village I will definitely be stopping back to try some of their baked goods and different coffee options!

Juliette A.

Yelp
Delicious cinnamon roll! Quick service and drinks made perfectly! Super cute decor. We'll be back!
google avatar

Jessica B.

Yelp
What a trendy, but comfortable little mod coffee shop right in Peddler's Village! We love to visit Lahaska when visiting nearby NJ, and my teen wanted some coffee or tea. The server was so friendly, decor bright, many sitting areas, a variety of coffees or teas, sweet treats and they've left nothing to chance... several photo ops! I love their selection of cute tea towels and wish we had more time to sit and relax here. Check it out. We'll start each visit at Mama Hawk's!
google avatar

Marissa B.

Yelp
I met up with a friend for lunch today as we wandered around Peddlers Village. We stopped into Mama Hawks and were immediately impressed. The staff was welcoming and very helpful in answering any questions I had. We chose to sit inside and eat and our food was delivered quickly. The drink options are very creative. I ordered a strawberry and lavender soda, but will gladly go back to try their "Watson" (root beer with a shot of espresso and cream)! Their coffee and tea options were unique as well - the "Matilda" is a cake batter, vanilla, and chocolate flavored coffee. I also ordered a caprese panini which did not disappoint. The establishment itself was very clean and cozy with a fireplace and a blue and yellow theme throughout.
google avatar

Kayla C.

Yelp
Mama Hawks Kitchen is amazing! There's not one negative thing I can say about it. You walk in and are welcomed right away. The art around the coffee shop is so cute and Instagram friendly. The workers are kind, intelligent and passionate about the cafe. I bought some art that the owner designed herself. Can't wait to go back!

Melissa H.

Yelp
I ordered a latte that was supposed to have birthday cake, mocha and vanilla in it. It just tasted like mocha and not a good mocha. They're obviously using low quality coffee. Just terrible I threw it out.
google avatar

Maddy G.

Yelp
Delicious cinnamon rolls and great indoor seating with wifi and outlets. Hot apple cider was also a tempting option.
google avatar

Kyle P.

Yelp
Peddler's Village always has a coffee shop in this location, but this iteration is the first I've really loved. I'll be going back ASAP Decor 4/5: light blue and bright (but muted) colors make this cozy place cheerful. Menu 5/5: They have a nice selection of food, I tried a delicious "sweet and salty" bar which was basically a marshmallow treat with potato chips, pretzels, m&ms, and just general goodness. It was amazing and there were many other things I wanted to try. Coffee 5/5: I only had a latte, but it was made well and tasted good to me. I'm not picky though. Service 5/5: both people working yesterday (9/2) were amazing! The cashier was so helpful and we had a very pleasant chat. All around, I love this spot and might make it my new go-to coffee shop. I highly recommend!

Yelp
I have been anxiously awaiting the time that I could go into Mama Hawk's since I had been following their opening on their Instagram! They opened in July in the middle of this pandemic and it took me awhile to get there but boy was it worth the wait! Not only is the inside adorable, the staff sweet, but their food, coffee and sweets are all *chef's kiss*. This will definitely be my new favorite coffee spot. Seriously. I also may have ordered some of their delicious peppermint cookies that I tried. I got the Rachel sandwich and the Scarlett O'Hara latte and both were amazing. I'm sure to be back!
google avatar

Tim S.

Yelp
Been here since July 2020. Who knew? A friend brought a variety of cinnamon buns during a family death. What a wonderful gift. The were sweet, but not overly so. We had traditional w/cream cheese, chai and salted caramel. We had to come here. A great coffee and tea selection with a huge variety of flavored syrups. I had cherry and wife had lavender. They both worked well in our coffees. A warm gas fireplace in the seating area out front. I'll come here again!
google avatar

Yelp
If you do not plan ahead for your trip to Peddler's Village, this is where you will be eating as every other eatery in the area is usually booked full even on weekdays. Not to say that Mama Hawk's Kitchen & coffee isn't delicious because it is. Just don't expect 5-star service or the best meal of your week. Their desserts are some of the best items that they have although soups and sandwiches also stand out. The flatbread is a bit lackluster as most of the toppings seem to come from a bag rather than in-house. The coffee is really delicious and the hot chocolate is also good. The fireplace is a nice touch if you're able to get a seat nearby. This is a bit out of their control but the single bathroom often leads to a line of people waiting. It could definitely be cleaner, that is within their control. The service was lacking the day we came through but I'm fairly sure the girl working the register was new as she was asking many questions. No worries there, that si how you learn.

Yelp
Cute little coffee shop in Peddlers Village. Nice blue pink color theme with cute decorations and cozy ambience. They have a large select of coffee/tea/sandwiches/pizza. My latte and Turkey pear sandwich were both tasty but nothing spectacular. I enjoyed the seat next to the fireplace, especially on a cold winter day.
