Family‑run Filipino street food—sisig bowls, lumpia, and ube desserts—that local outlets rave about. Often seen at markets and brewery pop‑ups, it’s a flavorful detour from the usual rotation.

Kristine Contemplacion and Mama J’s Jollijeep were the perfect choice to cater for our wedding last November. We knew early on that we wanted Filipino food that evening, and after trying several options in the Tampa area, it was clear that Mama J’s was who we wanted. Kristine worked with us to craft our menu for the evening, ensuring we had varied options, including classic Filipino dishes as well as a vegetarian options for a few of our guests. Kristine also graciously allowed us to make a few additions to our catering order that worked perfectly. The lumpiang shanghai, lumpiang togue, and BBQ chicken skewers were a hit during cocktail hour, and guests devoured the bistek tagalog, pancit bihon, and chopsuey at dinner. Due to a few last-minute guest cancellations, we even had a bit of chicken adobo and pork sisig as leftovers that we were able to take home and were just as tasty heated up later. Looking forward to seeing Mama J’s again and trying even more of their food!

Home made Philippine cooking by Kuya Paul and Ate Christine!👍👍 I had the Beefstek with Rice and Pork Lumpia!! Absolutely highly recommended for you to try it! Super delicious and very tasty! They are right next to Shell Gasoline station, you wouldn’t miss it when you’re driving, the Philippine flag is waving and inviting you to this 5 star great food! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 See you again soon for the other dishes!!

I was really excited to try this food truck at the Asian Pacific Island Festival. However, we waited 45 minutes to be told they were out of everything we wanted. No signs had been posted. After ordering something different, I’ve been waiting an additional 30 minutes for two orders of vegetable lumpia and some beef with rice because they’re out of the buns to make tacos as posted as well. I understand food being made fresh but it’s like absolutely no prep work was done at all. So disappointed.

Mahal kita, ang truck ni Mama J! Which means I love you! I can't wait to try everything, but I had the lumpia today...twice! It's that good! What's lumpia? Imagine the best fried spring roll you ever had but with pork inside and a side of sweet chili sauce to dip them in. If you've never tried them...OMG you don't know what you're missing! salamat po!

We were in the mood for Filipino food today and found that Jollijeep was open today. We got to try their food at the Pacific Islander festival in Tampa a few months ago and we liked the pork sisig. We got pork sisig again today and tried the sago gulaman. There was a little less than 15 minute wait that looking through the nearby gas station's treats occupied. Paul came out and was personable, humble, and made delicious food and told us the next festival they were thinking of going to was the Watermelon Festival in Brookesville. I thought the pork sisig was pleasant, enjoyable, and comforting in flavor and texture. The sago gulaman was sweet and the tapioca was fun and soft. My spouse found the pork sisig to be flavorful with a little bit of heat in a can't get tired of this dish way. We got another to go. Leaving happy and full from here today. Thank you Christine and Paul. ☺️

This was a pleasant surprise late lunch stop! We happen to pass by the area as we’re from Hudson and just saw this cute little Jollijeep by a gas station. We met the owner Paul and he was very kind. We ordered pork lumpia shanghai and some fried banana. They were delicious! … Will definitely come back if we’re in the area!

I ate for the first time here today after picking up a DoorDash order and I couldn’t resist going back to pick up some food for me and my friends because it smelled so good! I never had food that smelled so good, and still genuinely tasted even better. Me and my friends were all amazed and want to go back there ASAP! The workers were so sweet and treated me very kindly. We got the adobo chicken, pork sisig, and my personal favorite, the chicken asado taco pao, which is to die for! 10/10 recommend

We had this truck come for a company event to celebrate Filipino American Heritage month. The food was absolutely delicious and my coworkers all enjoyed it very much! We will definitely be asking for them to come back for another event in the future. Sisig has been the trending favorite in my office.
