Google
I had a little trouble finding it but it's located inside of the food court in Hana World Market. I was raised on Lao food and I have to say the Kow Poon is spot on. It's delicious and you should definitely order some if you go. They offer spice level 1-10. I ordered level 6 spicyness and it was still really mild to me but I was sharing with my 4 year old daughter who took a drink of water after every bite. The Tham Muk Houng (Lao papaya salad) is also pretty authentic and delicious, it's traditionally a spicy dish made with plenty of thai peppers, I ordered spicy level 10 and it's satisfyingly spicy. For $8.50 menu price the portion of the Papaya Salad is a bit small but I did get a Groupon deal. I also tried the Laab Gai taco which I was skeptical of and it wasn't really a hit with me. The Laab Gai itself was alright but the flour tortilla it came in was straight out of a bag not even warmed or heated in any way, and since it's served without any sort of sauce it's a bit on the dry side especially with the flour tortilla. I used the Sriracha mayo sauce that came with the eggrolls on the taco. The pork eggrolls were awesome and fried to order, but I'm not a fan of the mayo/Sriracha dipping sauce they come with and would much prefer a fish-sauce based dipping sauce. I was a bit bummed not to see any Asian/Lao people working, maybe because it was a Sunday. Another review mentions everything is cooked by "mama Noy" herself so I was hoping to spot her. Also the only napkins they had available were the ones that came prepackaged with plasticware so I had to open three things of plasticware just to have napkins to get through my meal. Overall the traditional Lao food is delicious and I will be back for more.

Google
What a great find. I have been to food truck, but this is permanent. House within the restraint area of Hana market. We tried several dishes. The owner brought out a new item Curry chicken eggrolls, crisp tender chicken, all hand made. Served with a side of sirracha cream shipping sauce. They were excellent. She also had us try skewered chicken a new test item. So juicy and week marinated, excellent house made sauce. We would order those every time. Out main dishes were. Beef kick butt fried rice, which is always a winner. We also had the chicken lo mein. The meal was great. Fed three people.

Google
AWESOME! Found this little place out of luck while shopping in Hana World Market. They have a food court inside. I have to say the food was great. Their Laotian Style Pad Thai and different styles of Asian infused tacos were the best I've had in Austin. Hands down. You have to try this place if you're ever in the north Austin area.

Google
A tasty little gem inside Hana World Market. Super tasty and flavorful. We ordered kick-butt fried rice and noodles, they were both yum! The fried rice was close to Indian pulao, so Indians will for sure love it! The home-made chilli oil was was also a star! Portion sizes are good too! I wish there were some vegetarian options for tacos though.

Google
What I love about Mama Noy's is that you can really just taste how fresh everything is. I had the spring rolls which were great and really healthy I felt like I got my vegetables for the day in that one dish. The sloppy noodles were also delicious and so were the tacos, especially the veggie tacos which I normally would not order but these were so amazing I would eat these every day if I could.

Google
I'm so glad this food truck became a resturaunt too!!! My whole family enjoyed the food (including the picky eater). The suave for the egg rolls is key! I could almost drink that stuff!

The food here is amazing. Mama Noy makes it herself. She's incredibly sweet and giving. Strives hard to please her customers. Def recommend.

Yelp
This truck came to our office complex. I have always been curious about this truck because they are actually housed in the same neighborhood as my parents. Every time I go to their house I usually see it in front of a house. Everything looked pretty tasty on the menus and I finally decided on the Kick Ass Fried Rice and an order of crispy egg rolls. It was a bit of a wait but there were quite a few people and everything is made to order. Let me tell you there was no shortage of food. When they handed me the container for my fried rice I thought my arm was going to fall off. It was a very generous portion. I ate some of it and it looked like I didn't even put a dent in it. I took the rest of it home and my husband ate it for dinner that night. The rice was spicy as it is Kick Ass fried rice. There was definitely a very peanut taste to the rice which I wasn't expecting. Beef was the protein on this dish and there was a decent amount of it. There was not very many vegetables in the rice and I don't recall any egg. Egg roll was perfect and crispy. There was a sauce for dipping as well. I keep going back and forth on 3 or 4 stars. I really want to love Mama Noy's but it was just ok to me. I felt like something was missing and I'm not quite sure what it was. I think part of it was that my fried rice seemed to have a peanut taste to it and it was not was I was expecting at all. I'll have to give them another chance and try something else. Until next time...

Yelp
Was really ready to be happy chowing down on a couple of kimchi tacos and the laotian egg roll but the food turned out to be sub par for my tastes. The tacos fell apart before I could get them to my piehole and what fell out was mostly tomatos and very little pulled pork 'chunkettes' that were hard to find. Hey. Charge more and give me some pork that I don't have to dig around for to find. The laotian egg roll, again, was mediocre but nothing to write home about. Speaking about home, the story on the truck explains the origins and how this was their mamma's cooking. I don't like to say bad things about your mamma's cooking so let's stop here :) Could be that it's just for someone else though and that's ok too. Or, maybe, have mamma do a quality check here and there.

Yelp
There's never been a bigger advocate of Asian-Latin fusions than me, but since my personal ads haven't been working very well lately, I was happy to stumble upon Mama Noy's outside the Adelberts Brewery and I had to get me some! I really liked the Vandalized Tacos, which they recommended as the one thing I had to try, they're messy af, but well worth it. I also ordered Pad Thai, because I never turn away the opportunity to have Pad Thai, but it was just okay, or maybe it was unfair for it to have to follow up the Vandalized Tacos, I don't know, but if I ever run into Mama Noy's again I'm definitely going to try more things.

Brooke P.

Yelp
I had one of the egg rolls and the Godzilla avacado spring roll. The other comments mentioned how good the egg roll is and I got one and was not disappointed! They are only $1.50 so you have to at least try one. The spring roll was huge! I still have half left over for my lunch tomorrow.

Alex L.

Yelp
The Pad Thai and Kick Ass Fried Rice dishes are a must try! Gigantic portions for the price. Glad to see a place delivers on a "10" spice level when you ask for it. Keep coming to Paloma Ridge, and I'll keep ordering a second dish to take home for dinner!

Allyssa S.

Yelp
We came across this neat little food truck after a nice walk at Brushy Creek Lake Park. They said they were there for a company lunch but business was slow. When we approached the truck I was instantly intrigued by the kimchi tacos and was just waiting for my SO to choose what he wanted. As we browsed the menu, the owner offered us some samples of their egg rolls with their sour cream and Sriracha sauce - so much goodness! I opted to get my kimchi taco on the mild side and it was damn good! The taco was full of lots of pork and I got more of that creamy sauce! I loved it! I need to come back to try more of their food! Good people, the food is made fresh and it's yummy!

Yelp
Great food combined with fast and friendly service; what more can one ask for?! 10 stars if if could!

Yelp
This food truck comes by my work every couple of weeks or so and out of all the food trucks that come out here this one is the best. I don't think I can properly describe what genre of food this is. It is definitely fusion of Asian and something else. The lady that works there is really friendly. I always get the pad thai. They give you A LOT. I hope this is something they never change. It's not your typical pad thai. I believe I heard that it was Laotian. It's not a saucy pad thai and the noodles seems to be fried. I'm not complaining though. It's unique and I like it. I usually get a seven spicy level, but I would recommend a three for people who still want a little bit of spice. It comes with chicken, peanuts, bean sprouts, green onions, and chili peppers depending on which spice level you get. It is a little bit on the pricey side costing roughly $9-10 for a meal but it's expected for a food truck and also this is one of the few food trucks that gives you the amount of food you paid for.

Yelp
I just got their killer fried rice. It has brisket in it, but the brisket is very tough and dry. I can't recommend this. It reminds me of over-cooked sirloin - this doesn't work in a BBQ state like Texas where we can get pretty decent brisket from the local grocery store. If they buy the brisket pre-cooked, they need to get better quality and more tender brisket. For example, HEB's precooked is phenomenally better. If they are cooking the brisket themselves, they need to slow smoke it for like 12 hours minimum. The brisket is so tough it ruins the dish. It is loaded with gristle because it was not cooked right.

Yelp
I was lucky enough to try this amazing food truck on 7/20/2016 at 4th Tap Brewing Co-op. The food is fresh, delicious and amazing. And did I mention spicy? Because, boy is it spicy. I opted for the Laotian eggrolls to start, served with a side of (I suspect) kewpie mayo and sriracha. I, of course, opted for the spicy version. They were delicious, perfectly fried and well balanced. I was drawn, like a moth to a flame to their daily special of Pad Thai (subbed out the chicken for brisket). As a veteran of numerous spicy-food challenges, I walked up the truck cocky and with just enough of a buzz to throw caution to the wind. Unfortunately, this is when I flew to close to the sun. Much like Icarus, I fell victim of my own hubris. When asked what spice level I preferred (1-10), and despite warnings from Mama Noy, I opted for an 8. My friends, I am here to tell you that despite this tactical error, this was some of the most flavorful and expertly prepared Pad Thai I have ever had the pleasure of devouring. Now, the spice? Yes, this dish was one of the 2-3 most spicy things I've ever experienced. Through the tears and a nose flowing like a river, I very nearly finished the dish. I did not view a failure to finish the dish a failure, but rather, a tactical retreat. I will be finishing this deliciousness for lunch today with plenty of water!

Yelp
They were at Lights Fest last night and we stood in line for 45 minutes only to get the most confusing dish I've ever seen from an Asian place...the noodles and vegetables looked and tasted packaged or frozen...really really gross and not authentic at all. The chicken also looked really suspect...I didn't even try it. The egg rolls were decent! I think they ran out of food or weren't prepared to serve so many people. It was so disappointing.

Tera M.

Yelp
I tried this truck a year ago back when they were Southeast Munchiez and there was a thick poece of string in my Godzilla roll. After a year I decided to try them again as they come to my job every week and this time there was a hair in my Godzilla roll. Not juat a piece a lonnnng ass strand because when I tugged on it it was stuck so I cut it open and kept pulling until finally a long strand of hair came out. I will never eat there again and its a shame because the rolla were actually pretty good, but I cant get passed the unsanitariness.

Eric W.

Yelp
Really great service, food is amazing. Y'all need to try the kick-ass rice, good combo of fried rice and brisket, and the fried egg rolls are really good.

Rebecca H.

Yelp
Inside HanaWorld food court. I order beef skewer., papaya salad, laarb gai(minced chicken salad), and the mini spring rolls ... it was the bomb diggity! Give them a try I'm helping local mom n pops(if your taste bud not adventurous.. then stay away) I love food period.

Jennifer S.

Yelp
They gave one of my coworkers a bunch of free egg rolls because they said they were training new people. They were delicious! One batch was spicy, the other was normal. They had plenty of meat. The only caveat: the spicy is SPICY.

Nicole B.

Yelp
These ladies are so amazing!!! They took the time to chat with us about their food and were crazy proud of everything they made, sharing with us samples!! Even if the food wasn't amazing (which it was) I would probably come here just because of the passion. I tried the egg rolls - AMAZING! and the special of the night which was pad thai. It wasn't like most pad thai I've had before, it was much more flavorful and I'm happy that I have some left overs for lunch today :) I'm going to keep an eye out for this truck as it travels around because I will be returning!

Richard K.

Yelp
they were at Millenniumcon on Friday, but i did not see them on Saturday. I checked the parking lot a couple of times and walked around behind the building. I did not want to have to drive out away from the convention for meals. disappointed.

Cin S.

Yelp
The food was...different. We had the Kao Poon, chicken Kimchi Fried Rice, chicken Pad Thai & complimentary pork egg rolls. Kao Poon had very little meat, offset with vegetables such as canned baby corns which gave the broth a different kind of flavor than what I grew up eating. Not enough coconut milk for my liking. Pad Thai was bland. It tasted almost of only fish sauce and had a pungent after taste and smell that I hadn't tasted on pad Thai before. Kimchi fried rice wasn't bad. But it wasn't great. Egg Rolls were good. New location at Parmer Lane. The wait was a bit long, customer service still needs to find their groove.

Yelp
Love Noy and her food truck. This is authentic home cooking Laotian food that is delicious. Noy is a remarkable women whom takes pride in her food. For amazing and a unique food experience that will get your taste buds dancing try this hot and tasty food truck that will make you and your taste buds crave for more. Live Love Mama Noys Rocks my taste buds

Robert G.

Yelp
Food was OK. Ordered a Godzilla Spring Roll and the Kick A&& Fried rice to split. Large portions (nice). Spring roll was fresh and very tasty. Fried rice was VERY overlooked. Rice was mushy. Could tell if it had been cooked properly would likely be great. Sad it was not.

Chris M.

Yelp
The Laotian eggrolls are fantastic. However... I also ordered the Lo Mein, and what I got was not Lo Mein. Instead of the familiar egg noodles that one would expect, I got spaghetti. Perhaps that wouldn't be a big deal to some, but for me, I was all set on Lo Mein noodles, and spaghetti is pretty far from that. To their credit, they were nice enough to swap it out for fried rice when I brought it back to the truck, but -- come on. Spaghetti? That's a pretty cheap way to go. The lady's response? "Well, it's Asian fusion, so it's supposed to be slightly different." Okay. Sure.

Justin M.

Yelp
Service was slow and they burned my kick ass fried rice. It was a huge serving though. I huge serving of burnt rice and dry brisket. Overall, I would skip this place next time.

Jack Bowower S.

Yelp
Good food truck. I've had their tacos and Pad Thai. The tacos were very good and the Pad Thai was also. The pad thai was $9, but the portion was HUGE. It could have been enough for 2 meals.

Alexandra N.

Yelp
We were visiting 4th Tap Brewing Co-op and needed a bite to eat. I was drawn to the Three Amigos tacos because I like Thai food and I really like tacos. The dish came with three different styles of tacos (chicken laab, kimchi, and blazin). The food was prepared quickly and everything was very fresh - including the raw sliced jalapenos. I like that you can choose the spice level. I'd recommend sticking with a 4 or 5/10 if you like a slow, spicy burn. The flavors paired nicely with the bright beers at 4th tap. My husband ordered the Kick-ass Fried Rice and it was good, but definitely not as tasty as my tacos. You can get pad thai and fried rice at any Thai place...try something off the beaten path at Mama Noy's and you will not be disappointed!

Fernah G.

Yelp
Ordered the pad Thai. It came with NO CILANTRO, NO GREEN ONIONS, NO PEANUTS, AND NO LIME completely doused in red pepper flakes after I ordered mild spice. COMPLETELY INEDIBLE. And to top it off, I was incorrectly charged twice for my $13 order. TOTAL RIP OFF. Where's my refund??

Brent M.

Yelp
Arrive at 11:30am and told they are out of rice and can't make half the items on the menu. Strange for an Asian food truck to run out of rice, but okay. I order Lo Mein and Tacos. After waiting about 15 minutes, she hands me the noodles and forgot my taco order. At that point I gave up and walked away

shannon h.

Yelp
I have had food from many food trucks but I've got to give it to Mama Noy's. The food is amazing. Their Pad Thai had the perfect amount of spice mixed with expertly cooked noodles. Their Laotian Egg Roll was great, crispy and full of flavor. Huge portions in record time. I will definitely be back.

Kim R.

Yelp
Loved tasting co-workers orders, but I asked for very mild Pad Thai and I literally picked out large pieces of red chili peppers that were barely chopped up. From the looks of what I removed, it was 4-5 peppers which made the dish way more than mild. It would have been fantastic if I could have eaten it, but sadly I gave it away and spent more money on a different lunch. I guess live and learn that a chef's mild may be very different than mine. All the other dishes were very flavorful and appealing. I should have stayed with my 1st choice which was the kick ass fried rice. I would try again just no added heat. :(

Christopher P.

Yelp
I got the sloppy noodles with vegetables which I enjoyed. A nice amount of vegetables and spicey sauce. Staff and owner were friendly. This is more of a fusion than traditional cuisine. Vegan and vegetarian friendly.

Mz F.

Yelp
The Godzilla spring roll was a solid lunch meal. The veggies and rice paper wrap we're very fresh. However, the chicken pieces (all white meat) were a bit too large and slightly dry.

Elizabeth T.

Yelp
Thank you to Mama Noy's for participating in the Avery Ranch July 3rd Fireworks Celebration. Excellent food and friendly service!

Zack M.

Yelp
The new Brick and Mortar location has definitely helped the overall consistent quality of Mama Noys. Definitely a place to check out.

Sonya D.

Yelp
While the meal was free (provided by my employer), it was not good. Would have been really disappointed if I'd paid for it :(

Justin F.

Yelp
Ordered the chicken taco's, they are extremely bland. The blandest chicken I've ever had. I asked them to make it extra spicy. The spice level was maybe one notch above mild. I will never waste my money on their food again.

Neo M.

Yelp
Ordered the Kick-Ass Fried rice today from the Mama Noy's truck parked at River Place. Mostly just a ton of rice, very little brisket, and that little bit was very tough, chewy, and lacked any flavor. Essentially, a waste of $11.00.

Paiman F.

Yelp
Everything is Delicious! Especially the Pad Thai and the chicken fried rice are bomb.com. The food was very warm and fresh and the egg rolls were very crispy. I would eat here again.

Emanuela B.

Yelp
I've had food from Asian fusion food trucks from all over the country, Mama Noy's is hands down the very best I've had. I tried several of the menu items and was blown away by each, everything was absolutely excellent, very fresh ingredients and amazing flavors.
