Food is okay. But they do not place price tags on their grocery items which I think its not right and deceptive according to Maryland consumer protection act. Sometimes you will get bill shocked upon checking out. People should know and be informed how much the item is prior checking out. Hope this helps changing things around in you business.

It’s a surprising place. We got there at 7:30pm, we ordered Sizzling sisig and fried pork belly appetizer 16oz for two. The food was so fresh and delicious, sisig had a rich flavor in spices. The two servers we met in the store were nice, they said they’d give us more pork belly later because the box was not full but we didn’t even notice that. They basically fried a little more before they close just for us. Worth trying!

Let's not forget about the Fine Grocery Store inside. I love the instore bake treats like wrap banners. Variety of food selections and good potion size.. I RECOMMEND MAMA ROSA GRILL

May 1, 2025 Food - They have different options to choose from. We had the pork dinuguan and humba along side with 2 cups of garlic rice for $11.99. We ordered the 5 sticks of pork barbecue which was on promo for $13.99 with small atsara and vinegar on the side. Pork dinuguan and humba was good. Portion size is good for the price. The pork barbecue is not bad too, had a smokey flavour. Different type of barbecue that I had on other Filipino restaurants which had pork fat at the end and on the sweeter side. Service - It was good. We were helped by two ladies over the counter. Atmosphere - Quiet place inside the store. It's our first time visiting Mama Rosa. It wasn't a busy time when we went there. Lots of foods to choose from. They have a separate spot at the basement where they have all sorts of Filipino things like snacks, sauces, etc. The grocery side doesn't have proper pricing available. You can ask the employee to scan and see how much the item is. Parking is not a lot since they share with other establishments at the area. Make sure to bring your valuables when leaving your vehicle. Lots of broken glass outside, probably someone else's car has been broken in. Would definitely come back for more Filipino food! 😁

I’m not sure what happened with the BBQ chicken, but it was undercooked. The thicker pieces toward the bottom of the kabob were still pink. I don’t enjoy leaving this type of feedback, but I hope it helps prompt action to address the issue. I truly appreciate the atmosphere and the excellent service, and I value the team there—but serving undercooked chicken is a serious concern. Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time I’ve noticed this.

Good Filipino food and service. Well priced and quiet, although smaller store.

This carryout and grocery was like being back in a small grocery in Makati. We got a platter with a few different dishes and garlic rice - great taste and a very reasonable price. The grocery prices were what you would expect for any specialized grocery. Staff was very friendly. I only give the 4 stats on atmosphere because we showed up early after my wife's green card interview in the morning and they were still stocking shelves. Still, I would highly recommend!

The customer service needs work. I came to pick up a catering order around 10:30 am and was the only customer. I wasn't greeted or acknowledge, I can understand the young man not saying anything at first because he was on the phone but there was two ladies who could have said hello and assisted me. Once he got off the phone he walked away from the front area. One of the other ladies went in the kitchen and the second lady started cutting vegetables. Maybe a minute later the young lady cutting the vegetables notice that no one was helping me. So she finally helped me. With this being my first time coming to his restaurant this is a horrible first impression.

Ordered from them for uber eats because I was just craaaaving some Filipino pork! The $0 delivery fee talked me into it. We got lechon kawali and sizzling sisig with garlic rice and egg. The saltiness and crisp ones of everything hit the spot! The meals traveled well and were still warm on arrival. Even the fried egg survived the trip and was still runny! I will say I've had better sisig at other places- this version had more fat/cartilage pieces than meat.

Easy stop off the highway after a few turns and boom.. you're at Mama Rosa Grill! Order ahead for pick up, in person on the spot for carry out or dine in. There's a mini grocery section in the back. The food is amazing. I picked up a few snacks and sauces. The dining menu has a lot of variety from breakfast, lunch and dinner. They also do catering. I plan to keep this on the rotation.

One of the only places for real deal Filipino food in the area. Being Filipino-American my standards were also super high. This place is solid and deserves more attention. Ordered a tray a lechon and lumpia ahead of time and came here to pick it up and get dinner as well. Unfortunately despite calling they had no idea of our order and was not prepared at the allotted time. Thankfully they said they would prepare it right there as we ate dinner. The food itself was great! Got the lumpia (spring rolls), sisig ( sizzling pork dish), and lechon ( roasted pork). All of it was really good and I have high standards for all those dishes. Our tray food did come in fresh after dinner so no foul on that end, but will have to take down a star for that. If you want real authentic Filipino food, would recommend!

Amazing spot! Great food, prices, and staff! So far we've tried their grilled chicken, bbq skewers (pork and chicken) along with their potato salad and garlic rice. All delicious! Definitely want to try their other food items such as their lumpia, lechon, adobo, halo halo etc. and the list goes on. There's a small grocery store in the back with Filipino groceries as well. Looking forward to my next meal from here!

We were looking for Filipino food in the area and came across this one nearby. It's bright & clean & overall very welcoming. I was happy to see they had vegetarian options on the menu so I ordered the sizzling tofu to try it out & it was delicious. The tofu was perfectly crisp & the sauce was savory & sweet. We also got the veggie lumpia & taho. The lumpia was ok but I liked taho, not too sweet. We enjoyed walking around the snacks & frozen section after we finished eating. I really enjoyed our experience & would go again!

Came for the halo halo and will be back for the halo halo! This is a cool restaurant/shop and it's fun to look around at the unique items they have for sale while your food is being made. As I mentioned, we got the halo halo, and you know it's authentic when there's corn in it! The flavor was mild and delicious. It was everything I expect from a good halo halo and I'm glad I found this spot during my visit!

Ordered takeout from here. The woman at the counter was very friendly. This place was easy to park at & locate. The outside is very unsuspecting, but the lady inside has a full seated restaurant area as well as a market. I honestly should've taken some time in the market, because I cannot get these items at home. The bbq pork skewer was REALLY good - juicy and tender! The fried pork belly was also good, and I ordered the grilled pork for tomorrow. Garlic rice is life changing. I will definitely be back!!!

If you're in the area and craving Filipino food or snacks, I highly suggest checking out Mama Rosa Grill. Finally had a chance to stop by after a visit to the Science Center (about a 10 min drive). Parking is a little scarce, so you may have to park a little further down from the restaurant. Order your meal at the counter. They have ready to go hot food (turo turo style) or items you can order from their menu. After ordering, I suggest you walk around the store to see if there are any Filipino groceries, snacks, or beverages you want to purchase before checking out. In addition to my food, I ended up leaving with some salt/vinegar chicharron, Spanish bread from Christines, and a couple beverages (Mogu Mogu). For food, of course we were eye hungry, so ordered sisig fries, half chicken inasal meal, and a big container of the lechon kawali. Everything was pretty good, with the lechon being the favorite. Sisig fries were good, but wish it came topped with a little less yum sauce. If you also like your sisig extra crispy, this dish isn't for you. The chicken was juicy, tender, and flavorful. Surprisingly the rice wasn't cooked right. It was overcooked and too mushy. The lechon remained crispy on the ride home (~45min) and was still hot. It was very tender and had a nice crunch to it. Definitely glad we went with the larger container! I'll definitely be back to Mama Rosa Grill the next time I'm in Baltimore. Their mixilog 1 was calling my name!

Mama Rosa Grill is a Filipino Super Market with a restaurant to accompany it. To quickly go over the grocery store element if it - you'll find a lot of traditional Filipino groceries such as dried taro leaves, chicharon, banana ketchup, and a multitude of Filipino snacks and candies. It has pretty much anything you'd want, so if you're trying to make Adobo, Filipino Spaghetti, or Sinigang - you'll find most of the things you'll need outside of actual produce or meats. Let's get to the food - it's authentic Filipino cuisine, and it's good and legit. Growing up Filipino all these dishes were very familiar to me, from the "chocolate pork" diniguan, pork or chicken bbq skewers, to the tamarind soup sinigan and breakfast platters of cured pork and egg. There is no wrong choice, all the food here will satisfy you. The -silog platters are a great value, coming with garlic rice, eggs, and whatever you want to accompany it - from fried milkfish to Filipino hotdog or sausage. The pricing is very reasonable, and less than what I would expect it to be in many restaurants. The service, as usual from any Filipino business, is genuine and kind - my phone died and the owners allowed me to charge my phone while I finished my meal! Mama Rosa is a strong recommend from me.

I'm new to the area, I was craving some Filipino food and wanted to check this spot out. The service was great the lady was kind and helpful as it was my first time. I ordered pinakbet, kare kare, and biko for later. The kare kare was made with pork instead of oxtail (which I'm used to oxtail) however, it was still very good and I'll be ordering again! I can't wait to try their other food items. Definitely getting bbq stick and lumpia next time If you like Filipino food give them a try, you won't regret it! Salamat Mama Rosa!

The food was sooooo good! Worth the drive. My son wanted chicken adobo for his birthday breakfast so we found this place and it was delicious! Even found a ton of ube treats. Definitely going back

This a very inconspicuous spot located on the side of patapsco market. The interior is pretty laid back and basic. They have a small market place in the back that sells snacks and staple foods and there are seats available to sit and eat in the main restaurant area. The service is straight forward and they are direct with interactions in my opinion but your food is ready quickly. The food is good. I really enjoyed the chicharron, and marinated meat skewers.

I'd been here once before, back when we first moved to the area. The food was okay but I opted to find a different restaurant. Today I didn't feel like driving out to my favorite spot so I tried this place again. We ordered the pork BBQ meal, extra chicken BBQ skewers, chicken adobo, chicken pancit, and lumpia. Everything was pretty good. I think the bbq skewers probably could have cooked a bit longer, the texture was kind of strange but the flavor was good. We simply stuck them in the air fryer for a bit before eating them. No other complaints. We can't speak to the service as this was a Grubhub order, but everything did arrive fresh and hot.

Great place to stop in for some delicious Filipino food. The lechon was perfect. Also hadthe garlic rice and sinagang soup. Delicious! The nice thing about this place is you can also go shopping for all of your Filipino staples. Well worth the trip.

Pork BBQ should be called Pork Jerky instead. Hard and chewy. The taste is not even close your typical Filipino Pork BBQ. very disappointed.

Holy crap, this place has single handedly changed my opinion on Filipino food. I've had Filipino food before growing up in the dmv and unfortunately I always found it greasy, musty, and salty whether it's sisig or adobo. The only thing I liked was lechon and lumpia but it's because those are found in Chinese food. I was looking at soul food trying to get my Mac and cheese on and while browsing Google maps and I see this place thinking it's latino based on the name. It turns out to be Filipino, interesting - it's not what you expect to find in Baltimore. But the lechon looks banging and it's ridiculously inexpensive (less than 10 for a lb? 33$ for a whole 7 lb roll of pork belly??) I make an order, throw in some lumpia, and spot a picture of their mixed breakfast platter (mixilog 1) with grilled pork, beef, and sausage, and eggs at 22.99 for what looks like 2 portions of food and throw that in too because how bad can grilled meat and rice be? When my order arrived I was like holy crap, this is a shitton of food. That mixilog platter is four meals, minimum and it's stinkin good. Meat is tasty and well seasoned, rice is not greasy, and who doesn't like a good fried egg? The sauces and shredded papaya is nice and light akin to a Vietnamese nuoc Cham dressing and papaya salad. The real star here is that lechon, crispy, melt in your mouth tender, perfectly seasoned with a delicious lechon dipping sauce. This outshines any Chinese roast pork in the dmv. Since I'm only one person I've had it for three meals in a row now and it still slaps even as leftovers. Mama Rosa has won me over. I guess I ate at crappy Filipino places (that are very popular in the dmv!) and I'm surprised to find it in Baltimore of all places. Consider me schooled. The only way to make it better is throw in a bunch of veggies but it doesn't seem to be something I see often at Filipino restaurants. I am eager to explore the rest of their menu.

First off the hospitality is amazing. Welcomed customers with open arms. The place is clean and ambient. Service is great as like any other Filipino restos everywhere you go. One thing that got us out of this place is the food. After all that's the major thing we came in for. If you picked fried foods on the menu you won't go wrong with it. However, the other part of the menu is not even on standard. Sauces are actually feel like mixed out from the flavoring packet maybe to save time? Some of the meats are hard and rubbery. I will actually give them some days are good some are not. Inconsistent flavors all over. The store at the back is the only thing that kept me coming in for snacks and some stuff.

Listen. LISTEN. Was having a bad day, and I'm three months pregnant. Came to get some food from the motherland, or as close as I'll get here. Thought the tortang talong smelled really good on the way home. I get home, open up the plate, and think, huh, cute, they gave me some ketchup. It was bagoong. Really, really delicious bagoong. I haven't had it as a condiment since probably 2001 at my grandma's house. I cried. Thank you, that's all.

I had ordered on their website via the menufy add on but accidentally ordered to the Middle River location. Called the middle river location immediately and they were able to transfer my order over to the Patapsco location easily. Both staff members were nice and kind and food was ready for me at the Patapsco location once I got there. Seamless pick up! Now food wise, delicious! And very homey. I got the garlic rice with the sizzling sisig, lecheflan, and buko pandan. Rice well made and good garlic flavors. Sisig had nice two runny eggs and porks had a good texture and good spice to it! Buko pandan had a good pandan flavor, not too sweet. Good creaminess. The flan is also dense and super creamy too. Good slight darker bitter taste to balance out how creamy it is and just the right sweetness for me. Would come back!

My food was supposed to be here at 6:46 p.m. at the hospital every time I was 7:00 and I still have not got my food I'm not very happy I'm very disappointed and a very upset and might not even order from you guys again

First time checking out Mama Rosa's, and I was not disappointed. TL;DR version: Pork Belly was delish and crispy, the Lumpiang Shanghai was delish too. Garlic rice was good. Check out Mama Rosa's for some really good Filipino cuisine. For the patient ones: Of course having delivery available during COVID is key, so that's a plus right off the bat. The pork belly was crispy, juicy and had good flavor. The garlic rice was pretty good also. I wish I knew what the sauce was that came with the rice because it had some nice sweet notes that complimented the meal also. The Lumpiang Shanghai is definitely smaller than I thought it would be, but they give you about 12 of them or so and the flavor was definitely on point, so I can't complain. The portions are really good and I still have a good amount of food left over to enjoy again later today. A couple cons: Delivery took about 50-60 min. The paper to-go plate that the meal came in was a bit messy and greasy which did not look good, but this did not affect quality of food. Overall great food, good delivery and I will be checking them out again!

So this is a cafeteria style Filipino food place. (Actually all non sit down fil restaurants are like this). The food is ok especially if you've been craving Filipino food (after spending time in jail for example). You order the food you want just like in a cafeteria... Point to the food you like, usually rice and two meat/veggie viands. I ordered the chicken adobo and pinakbet and with that garlic fried rice. The chicken was dry (I'm not really surprised) and the pinakbet veggie cubes could have been cut in smaller pieces, they both came in little styrofoam bowls. You had to be careful with the fried rice... There's going to be super hard dried kernels in there (again I'm not surprised) This place is cleaner than most...I mean there are worse places than this... But the movement of the waste buckets (looks like waste oil or Chum) through the dining room adds a little bit of puke factor. Kinda makes me nostalgic of the Philippines watching the piggery guys carry the kaninbaboy around in the Philippines. Well... It's an ok place. You really don't have any choice... There's no other Filipino restaurants around. And no, I don't count those bs Asian fusion places as Filipino food. Get ready to see some balikbayan boxes. This place is a treat... If you haven't had any Filipino food in a couple of months.

I just have to single out the employee named Richard was so skimpy portioning foods not much of everything I was being serve by the other server but he came in take over with my orders,my request was denied override with just one piece of the menu.

The food was okay. Granted, I arrived 45 minutes before they closed the kitchen, so the food was probably sitting there for a while. I would give them another chance.

Was craving Filipino food and ended up here. It's a small restaurant with a few tables to sit that's also a Filipino grocery store as well. I had the sisig and egg with garlic rice while my husband got tinola and pork belly with garlic rice. The portion was huge and both meals were flavorful and delicious. The kuyas behind the counters serving were very nice and even suggested for me to have tinola sauce for my meal. Both meals were affordable resulting to $20 dollars or so. The Filipino drinks like C2 was what I missed the most back in the PI in which they had. We ended up spending $50 on Filipino snacks that was a throwback for my husband.

I went here to surprise my mom by taking home Filipino food for her. It was a great success!!! I am so glad that everybody was WEARING THEIR MASKS and observing social distancing. Mang Jun and Ate Annabelle are so welcoming, respectful and explained to me what some of the food were. Kudos to them, Mama Rosa is very lucky to have workers as energetic and as patient like them. My favorite was their Chicharon Bulaklak, it was very crispy (it takes 15mins to cook so I called ahead, it was WORTH THE WAIT!). Next was their Lechon Kawali, this one was crispy and exactly as I remembered it back home. Next was their Chicken Barbecue - a MUST TRY! It tasted like it was marinated very well and it actually became my brother's favorite! Mama Rosa also has a mini grocery store at the back which brought back childhood memories. WE WILL BE BACK. PS: Some things that I really wished this store has is RED HORSE BEER, Munchers (Crispy good Green Peas), MOJACO (chicharon snack), YEMA CAKE, MANGO CAKE, UBE CHEESE PANDESAL and Magic Sing Karaoke.

We are in from out of town and we were looking for a good breakfast spot. This popped up on Yelp so we thought we'd give it a go. SO glad that we did. The staff was beyond pleasant and patient. Don't be nervous to come in even if you're not a Filipino food expert! We ordered two breakfast combos (#19 and #21). We highly recommend and wish that we had a place like this back in Virginia Beach.

Now this is a turo turo style restaurant and order type place. The food was very good! I crave dinuguan very frequently and without living close to my parents and honestly not wanting to learn how to cook it. They fulfilled my craves, when it is available. I've ordered a few of their silogs and all were as silog as silogs can be. Their sisig probably would've tasted better eaten at the restaurant while it was still sizzling, instead at home. Their dinuguan, bikol express, kaldereta were delicious! The reason it lost a star was for the BBQ. BBQ is such a staple in Filipino restaurants and every time I've ordered BBQ from them, pork or chicken, both have been very dry. Even with the fat pieces on some, still dry. Maybe I'm going during the busy times and they rush? Who knows but I'm probably going to order anything else but BBQ from there again. Still very good home food! And a comment on the store, nice little store packed with lots of food. So if you're waiting for your order at the store, you can still walk around and pick up some Filipino groceries while you're there!

Authentic Filipino restaurant in Baltimore city. They have buffet on the weekends but I have never been yet. This place has a great breakfast menu and their Bangus sigsig is awesome and the portions are large.

Had a great experience; we were taken great care of by Lany. Both my father and I grew up in the Philippines, and the food reminded us of homecooked meals back home. There is a Filipino grocery attached to it. We're driving up 3hrs to eat here again and restock :)

I was in town visiting family and wanted to try something new. This place is near my sister's home and they had good reviews online. We ordered 7 different dishes to get a good taste from a few things. The staff at the restaurant were very nice and explained every dish to us. The place was clean. We thoroughly loved every dish except for the milk fish. However, I will definitely return when I visit Baltimore again. My first time having Filipino food and I was impressed. I'll look for a Filipino restaurant at home in Connecticut.

I been ordering a lumpia in mama rosa Baltimore Annapolis area. The egg rolls or lumpia very salty like salty fish very not healthy. They could do better than that. Its been like this ever since. Today, I thought to add a review hoping they can do something about this.

I think Mama Rosa Grill hits it home with the Filipino food. I was a bit worried about moving to Baltimore and not having some homecooked Filipino food but I really lucked out. I've tried their made to order stuff (sisig) and I've tried their buffet. The sisig was a big too cartilage-y for me but the garlic rice and the chicken BBQ were great. The buffet had a variety of stuff including bistek and sinigang, which satiated my need for those two dishes. They also have a lil grocery store in the back! They have some great Filipino snacks if you're feeling nostalgic and various ingredients to make Filipino meals at home.

Pricey average Filipino food. Nothing special. Sisig was okay. Tapa was uninspired. Garlic rice needs to be more garlicky. Dinuguan was dry.

Just like how my mama makes it! Love it! Everything is so delicious! I also love the little Mart that is inside the restaurant. I'm able to pick up items and ingredients that help me make my Filipino food at home.

I love that there's a small Filipino cafe a couple minutes from my apartment. As all other Filipino cafes, they also have a small "mart" in this location with a lot of snacks, baked goods, and Filipino condiments. They used to have a small buffet here during the weekends, but due to COVID-19, this is not a part of their service anymore. My roommate and I ordered the Mixsilog #1, and we have ordered the mixsilog #4 in the past. If I had to choose which I preferred, I'd go with #4 because of the lechon kawali and sisig. For Mixsilog #1 it comes with tapa (garlic and soy sauce marinade), longanisa (sausage) and tocino (cured pork). All Mixsilog orders come with a choice of white or garlic fried rice (choose garlic ofc), tomato's, eggs (I prefer sunny side), salted duck egg, and their version of a patis mixture. All the flavors were there for all the 3 meats, but I wish they cut the tapa with a thin slice rather than a thicker slice. I would also make this a tad cheaper in pricing. Since they split the rice/eggs into 4, I'm assuming this was to feed 4 people, I think this would more likely feed 3, but I guess it really depends on how much each person eats. As for other dishes, they have a pre-set cooked menu, so you can just pick and choose and don't have to wait. A combo (rice and 2 dishes) I believe was $8.99 or 9.99, which is a relatively good price compared to other Filipino marts I've been to.

I went to this restaurant because I was hungry and that day I recently became a United States Citizen. I'm Filipino and this restaurant was home to me. The food is AMAZING. The chicharon bulaklak hit the spot. It's been a long time since I went back to the Philippines so when I saw that in their menu, I freaked. It was worth the 15 minute wait. They're lechon manok was AMAZEBALLS. The green spicy sauce that came with it is amazing. The lechon kawali was a heart stopper and their homemade vinegar paired really well. We also got a Goldilocks cake and I took advantage of the favtvthat they had RC cola and Royal. I really loved the place.
