The decoration of this restaurant is simpler than I expected, giving the impression of an ordinary fast food restaurant. The dishes they provide are also relatively ordinary, without any expensive dishes. Although the dishes are rather ordinary, after tasting them, I felt that the taste is above average. The side salad is quite large, and the Carbonara pasta has a very rich cheese flavor. It should be a good choice for lunch!

Not bad place to get fast lunch. Food is good enough, the premises as a whole turned out to be worse than I would have liked.

I don't think I've ever had a meal where I have felt that it was truly made with love. I ordered the grilled salmon here and that with the spaghetti was remarkable. Every bite was savory. I accidentally poured too much balsamic vinaigrette on the salad, but all of the tastes combined were perfection. The minestrone soup was delicious as well. Such a good, clean eating place to visit.

Delicious pastas and salads. Many healthy choices. Been here many times and the food is always excellent. Recommend the spaghetti marinara with meatballs and the rosey chick salad!

The female cashier isn’t friendly. However the chef is always great and friendly. He makes great tasting healthy dishes! I like their pasta and salmon so far. I have tried their garlic carrot bread which is also yummy! There is always something new to try each visit.

A hidden gem located right in the Trader Joe’s and Bed Bath and beyond plaza right on PCH. You can dine in or even do take out. I sometimes get their wraps but mainly the pastas! So delicious!

Salmon with tomato cream pasta. Omg is so good! The pasta was popping hot too when it came out.

You can tell this place is more for to-gos and catering as soon as you walk in. Don't expect much in terms of staff or service, and smiles only go so far, esp. if you keep asking for things you need. They're pretty busy because of outside orders, although there were only 2 tables incl. ours, but the food was decent. I'll prob. go again if I'm in the plaza and craving for pasta.

I ate at Mama Says for the 3rd time. I can honestly say the food is always great! I've been watching what I eat and it was great to order something different. At first I wasn't sure what to order, the girl who works there ( I didn't catch her name-But I'll ask next time) she recommended the OG Mama wrap, OMG it was sooooo delicious! She was really nice and patient with me. I got the wrap on a spinach tortilla. I added a different dressing from the one it comes with. I got the spicy French. I love the flavor of the spicy French in the wrap. I ordered a slice of Tofu in it, which is extra but that's ok! The place is cute and intimate. I will definitely recommend Mama Says to my friend and family.. And I will definitely order another wrap!

French, Italian with a California Twist! If you watch the Netflix Show " La Grande Maison-Tokyo" you understand the mastery of the food that "Mama Says" Serves to its customers in Torrance. A little Slice of European cuisine. Right down the street. Bon appétit!

We arrived to cheery Carrot wall murals, matching carrot orange dining chairs as well. Ordered at their Counter and had a Seat.... We came for their Pasta but found Healthy Salad and Wrap options on their Menu as well. Ordered their spaghetti bolognese and spaghetti alle vongole (8 plump clams). Both dishes were cooked al dente, not oily nor overly salted. It came with a thick slice of sourdough bread to mop up the bottom of the plate goodness. Solo Chef in his kitchen so a short wait/prep time guarantees you fresh hot pasta. He will bring his creations to your table. Ordered the house Non-Alcoholic Sangria. A solo diner and family of 4 dining were dining In as well. He makes his own line of Salad Dressings for purchase. Very clean dining area and attentive Counter Help helped us bus the dishes when we were done. Cannot wait to return with friends and family to share more of the Master's goodness. Another gem of goodness in the South Bay! Easy parking as well!

as always a 10/10. got my go to customized wrap last night and man everytime I get to eat it I have a revelation LMAO. this is one of my fave healthy and quick meals to eat any time of year

I really like their spaghetti, their sauce is really good I got it with meatballs, and the they were good too. I like that they give bread with the spaghetti, to sop up the extra sauce so good.

This restaurant is our favorite local place for, me the Bolognese and my Wife Shrimp Marinara. My Wife will also try the specials, like tonight the Muscle Marinara. The owner, Masa san, is always cooking most of the time when we come for dinner.

if i could give this place a 100 stars, i would. that eggplant parm for $6.25 was..... mind blowing. the mortadella pistachio salad for $12?? idk where else i could get this great of quality food in the south bay than some other local spots. COME HERE IF YOU WANT HEALTHY, AFFORDABLE FOOD MADE WITH CARE!

This place is underrated, and it's absolutely mind blowingly delicious and affordable AND healthy! Triple threat for sure. A hole-in-the-wall spot that needs some IG or tiktok marketing because it well deserves the business. My rosemary chicken wrap was made with high quality ingredients and honestly on the cheap end for what I got. Mama loved her chicken meatloaf and mama said she'd drive out to come back! My sis enjoyed her salmon pasta which was wayyyy cheaper and still as delicious as her italian norm spots. Ended the meal with carrot muffins and tiramisu (my sis fav) and def coming back. Also service was really great! The guy checked in on us and helped us figure out what to order :) Inter design: carrots on the wall were cute too

We stumbled upon this restaurant when we were forced into a lower carb diet. They have many different salad choices all with unique and different tastes from your average salad. You can also take any of the salad options and turn it into a wrap, or even build your own. The place is calm and well decorated. The cook in the back always has really good energy and seems like a very sweet guy. I love his carrot hat.

I ordered the chicken breast wrap. It was delicious and had generous portions. Wrapped well where the ingredients didn't fall apart as you're eating it. Casual atmosphere and friendly staff. Love the customization options.

Easy no frills place. Good food, quick service, good prices. Came here one day for a quick lunch, and it was a nice experience. It's a fast casual place you order at the counter, and then sit down at one of the many tables. The place was simple and clean. Staff was very nice. We got a salad and 2 pasta dishes to share. Everything came out fast. Salad was custom made as you like. Prices are very reasonable. Nice place for quick meal.

Given the high ratings, I expected more from the food. I got the spicy chicken spaghetti delivered. The sauce was super sweet and good for kids, but had no real flavor to it at all. I am a chili head and I'm a little biased to expect heat when a dish is called spicy, but there was nothing here. The chicken was tender but also flavorless. It was diced so evenly I have the impression it was frozen. There was no seasoning on it at all. It was edible, so I gave it 3 stars. I'm hoping for a better experience if I ever try again.

Since when do the service staff expect to keep the change from a $20 bill as their TIP for just doing their job. Which was to put 2 muffins in a to-go box and ring me up. I was amazed that Johanna had the gaul and rudeness to ask if I wanted my change. This place is Always professional and kind. This girl must be new, she has too much to learn, she has got to go. Some things you should already know.

Came on a weekday afternoon with my family for some lunch. We got a build your own chicken wrap, the eggplant spaghetti, and the tofu steak. We even tried a flan for dessert. Everything was delicious! I really enjoyed the eggplant spaghetti as it was seasoned well. The sauce was creamy and had just the right amount of spice. My wife really loved her wrap and it was fairly large, so she took about half to go. The tofu steak was OK. The crispy outer texture was perfect, but the tofu itself had no flavor. We had to cut it up into small pieces and mix it with the pasta so that the pasta sauce flavor mixed with the texture made it more enjoyable. Overall, it was a solid meal that we would have again. The place was pretty empty when we went. The staff was a two man crew that did everything, and they were super quick and efficient. If you're in the area, check it out, and I hope you enjoy!

We love the food here. Always happy to stop by or order delivery for delicious, fresh, and healthy food options. Pastas, soup, bread, and salads have been consistently great. Always a satisfying and wholesome meal, even as leftovers the next day. Parking is easy in a large plaza with other restaurant chains, but it's always best to support local - eat at Mama Says

I have really been enjoying mama says recently ! I work near here & honestly when I want fresh food that still fills up & that's healthy I come here ! It's a plus that they have gluten free pasta as well! I have gotten their rosemary chik salad SO GOOD & generous amount for the price ! Have gotten two of their pastas , the sauces are amazing really taste made in house ... everyone there has been nice with service as well on phone ordering & answering questions as I don't eat pork & they helped figure out what doesn't have it ! I only took one star off because I did order one of their pastas with shrimp and they did not devein the shrimp & that's a super ick for me couldn't finish eating the shrimp but definitely still finished the pasta , I know it's not a must but it is for me ... Anyways definitely a must check out parking is easy & everything here literally tastes SUPER FRESH . Can't wait to try more items

This is our favorite local restaurant in Torrance. Their rotisserie chicken wrap is so good, you get to hand pick what goes inside your wrap and there's so many options to make it into different styles. They also have really interesting selection of salad dressing. My favorite is the pesto! It's flavorful but it's also on the healthier side of things. Also, I love their mixed seafood pasta. I don't know how they make their sauce (it's not a typical original Italian marinara) but it's sooooo good! Food quality is usually consistent and fresh! Looking forward to coming back again next time (we probably visit every month!!)

First time at Mama Says! Came with some friends to get dinner. We ordered the carbonara, salmon in pink sauce and carrot garlic bread. The carrot bread was a bit strange since I didn't know what to expect. It had a spicy kick to it which might be from fresh/raw garlic. The carrot garlic spread was similar to hummus and spread on pieces of bread. I ordered the pasta with salmon in pink sauce. It was pretty good and you get a good amount of small salmon pieces. My friends ordered the carbonara which they said was good. The service was really slow when we went. We opted for takeout so we placed our order when we arrived and headed to the Whole Foods a couple stores down while we waited. We took a while at the grocery store so when we came back we were surprised that we still had to wait for our food. I forgot to check the time stamp on my receipt but we must've waited 30-40 minutes at least. I'd recommend that you eat there so the pasta is nice and hot, unless you live close by to bring it back home. Overall, good pastas but slow service.

One of my favorite places in the South Bay. Love how fresh and healthy the food options are here. Pastas seem to be made fresh to order. The egg plant pasta and the rosemary garlic chicken salad are my favorites! I can eat it everyday lol

We've always enjoyed and love Mama Says, the way you make your pasta! My wife has been a big fan of your special wrap so she knows step by step how you build it with great care and generosity! That's why when the new worker gave her an attitude, simply grabbing and dumping each item with her hands without care, just wanted to get her job done without any consideration for the customer, we were very frustrated and sad. We hope we can erase such bad memory and return to enjoying the food you make with great care. Thanks

Food is always consistent, I order a lot and the pasta is always cooked perfectly al dente. The carrot garlic bread is so good and so flavorful. The staff is always nice and friendly, the owner is very sweet.

I would Never order from Mama Says again, not even if it was free! I received the email confirmation for my pasta order at 2:35 and the Door Dash driver was waiting about 45 minutes and then left and another driver was assigned and the order still was not ready. UNBELIEVABLE STAY AWAY FROM MAMA SAYS!

Not what it use to be it use to be amazing now it's not as good the girl that took the order wasn't in a good mood by the way she was just throwing the salad in the bowl I asked for carrot garlic bread and it was cold like she took a piece of bread and put some cold garlic spread on it and that was that I put it in the air fryer and it was really good the veggies in the salad wasn't as fresh the kale had big stems that made the salad hard to eat I had to keep picking out thick stems I was disappointed because this place use to be the shhhhh oh I gotta say the one thing that I noticed that didn't change and it's still delicious is the pesto dressing

I tried the Black Squid Ink Pasta with Seafood and the Spaghetti Aglio Olio, and they were both amazing! Pasta was cooked perfectly, and the sauce flavor was great. Loved that the pasta was not too oily. Also tried their garlic bread and it was soo good. Will definitely be coming back!

One of our favorite places for healthy and homemade dishes. We love the steak dish that comes with salad + pasta and the salad wraps. The special salad dressings like yuzu, pesto, black sesame are some of the most delicious items to add to a salad pr wrap. High recommend for the quality of food with reasonable prices.

I was so amazed by Mama Says! It doesn't look like much from outside but every single dish was so good. We were also very impressed by the chef who single-handedly prepared all of our food in a timely manner. The bread was freshly baked and so so fluffy and good. All the pastas were so well flavored and piping hot! We tried the carrot garlic bread as well. I can't say I tasted much carrot but it was still delicious. Good prices and good food!! Would definitely recommend coming.

Really good food. Comes out steaming hot. I had the mixed seafood pasta with extra pasta and extra sauce ($3.50 more). Others ordered carbonara and pasta with clams. Everyone like the food. Big parking lot with Trader Joe's and Whole Foods.

Stumbled upon this and we absolutely love it! The girl with the glasses at the counter was very friendly and helpful. We asked a lot of questions! The space was clean and the food was delicious! Reminds me of Spoon House, a fusion of Japanese/Italian pasta dishes but much closer! Love that the owner is also the chef! Definitely passionate about the food he serves up. Everything we had was delicious and the price was very reasonable given the quality and portion size of the food! This is our new family favorite and we're excited to try more items on the menu.

Oh Mama... I'm pretty sure I've written a review a while back but I just wanna rave about this place again. I've been coming here for years and this "healthy fast food joint" has stayed consistent with the quality of their food.. In other words this place is bomb dot com. My faves are this filet mignon dinner with spicy marinara (1000 stars), tofu steak (they drench it in their homemade black sesame dressing yum and you can order 1 or however many you like), carbonara, eggplant parm (oh god I dream about this) that'll send you to ricotta heaven, carrot garlic bread that might have your breath stinky poo but your taste buds happy (you can also buy a small tub of carrot garlic spread to take home you're welcome), carrot soup, muffin, the apple green tea.. Maybe just try the entire menu and be a happy camper like me! Also, the owner is the chef and is an absolute sweetheart. Love you long time Mama Says

I got the salmon wrap but customized all fillings! You can add as many veggies as you want. Love all the dressing choices too. Service is quick and can find seats inside as they are usually not too busy.

Omg... absolutely blown away! I got their basic Spaghetti plate, which was so much more than basic. I also got a side salad with their black sesame dressing. Hear me out, if you haven't tried a black sesame salad dressing yet, you're totally missing out. Theirs is made in house and omg, so freaking good! That was just the salad dressing, don't get me started on their pasta. Ok, you got me started. I was stunned by how perfectly al dente the pasta was cooked. Topped with a phenomenally flavored sauce... I was seriously stunned. To look at this place from the outside, you'd never know. It's tucked in a shopping center with tons of restaurants, shopping and is right next to the chiropractor. I've been to a few places around, but I won't go anywhere else now, cause all the rest is seriously basic. Customer service was a bit rough, gentleman working the front didn't really want to be there you could tell haha. It didn't matter though and it was the worst in the world, the food was so good thought that anything else is whatever. I'll just take it to go next time :) I'll be back and trying something new, it definitely seems like one of those places that you could order anything and it would be amazing... so I'm going to give it a go and you should too!

1. Pancetta carbonara: 4 -Have tried a lot of carbonara at different restaurants. This one is the most consistent. Some restaurants the carbonara is creamy but flavorless. This doesn't has as much sauce but has good flavor. 2. Salmon spaghetti with pink sauce: 4.5 -My go to. Rich creamy and flavorful. Get this! 3. Mixes seafood pasta: 4 the seafood doesn't taste frozen. The octopus is tender and not tough and chewy. Usually I get take out. The only negative here, is that they put the bread inside the take out box and it becomes soggy by the time I get out. Wish they would put it in a separate box or paper bag. 4. Spaghetti Primavera: 3.5 -Special of the day. Comes with artichoke, tomatoes, broccoli. A heathy option with good flavor.

Worst spaghetti bolognese I ever ate. Watery sauce was tasteless and meat used was dry and mealy, I think it wasn't real beef. Stopped after 3 bites...ugh. I was really hungry for some spaghetti and was totally disappointed. They didn't give any parmesan cheese with the spaghetti either. BTW, they use angel hair spaghetti (thin). A slice of plain, soft ciabatta bread topped the spaghetti. I made the mistake of getting tiramisu without asking to see it first. It was a flat 3"x 3" and 1 1/2"high desert covered liberally with cocoa powder. Tiramisu was mostly whipped cream on top of a thin layer of dark brown cakelike substance that was soaked with very bitter coffee. Worst tiramisu ever. Don't waste your money ($5.95) This place doesn't serve real Italian food, but they don't advertise their food as being Italian. The cashier/server was very pleasant and nice and the place was clean. Too bad the food was so awful.

great food but SUPER slow service everytime we come, whether we dine in or take out. My last take out order took an EXTRA 40 minutes (total 1.5 hrs from ordering). So do not come here if you don't have 2 hours to spare!

Happy to report that a year and 29 check ins later... Still driving down from Santa Monica, still obsessed. The best food in the game. As you'll see from other reviews, the pasta dishes are fantastic (and come with awesome sides). But the real gems are the build your own salads (salmon for me!) and the carrot garlic bread. My body CRAVES the freshness and healthiness of this food, and the veggie options are phenomenal (Japanese sweet potato, capers, pepperoncini, etc.) Plus, awesome prices. JUST COME. Thank me later!

This restaurant is really quiet, pleasant and hidden in the Rolling Hills Plaza. They have vegan food and other alternatives for people with allergies. I decided to be brave and try the squid ink pasta. It tasted really good and I was pleasantly surprised! I also had the apple green tea. Excellent! The service is good- you may have to wait but that is because they make everything to order. The chef brought me my food directly! I would highly recommend this restaurant!

Let's start by saying "Yummy"... If you are looking for noodles (spaghetti) made to any flavor then this is the place to be! I always get the eggplant plate.... OMGoodness! I'm a mamma and mamma says go get a plate!

the salads here are incredible. Everything is so fresh and crisp. When you need a change, you can get the same salad in a wrap. it's my favorite place in South Bay & the owner runs it himself most days. great place.

This is a carrot themed restaurant! Mama says eat your vegetables but even it you're not into carrots you'll love it here! The restaurant is so adorable! We had the salmon pink pasta and a carrot garlic bread. We also tried the carrot soup since there were carrots on the wall. Now I don't think of myself as a carrot lover but everything we had here was 10/10 delicious. You have to try the carrot garlic bread even if you're not into carrots. Just make sure you have some floss in the car for after haha They also don't have sodas but do have great teas and an alcohol free sangria that was delicious!!

Fish and filling was fresh and flavoured well with vinaigrette. Only down side was that it came apart easily.

Got pasta take out! Decent portion and tasty food. Everyone enjoyed what they ordered.
