We went to this restaurant on Saturday night because we didn't want to wait an hour at Frugatti's, but were horribly disappointed. There were only a handful of diners, and it was so dark inside that we found it difficult to read our menus. I ordered lasagna, which was flavorless, with cheap, powdered parmesan cheese on top, carrots in the sauce that were obviously not cut by hand, and water all around, making it glaringly obvious that it had been frozen and then thawed out and reheated. It was so bad that my Lean Cuisine lasagna put it to shame!
My friend ordered the halibut special, which was tough on the outside and soft on the inside, as if it had been thawed in the microwave and then not fully baked in the oven. The pistachio pesto was the only thing with any flavor, but there wasn't enough of it to make up for the rest of the dish. The vegetables that came with it were the exact Costco mix of zucchini, broccoli, cauliflower, and carrots, and the pasta was overcooked and served with dried parsley instead of fresh.
To say we were underwhelmed is an overstatement.
Fortunately, when we complained, we weren't forced to pay for the meals that we couldn't eat, and so we paid for our drinks and gave a tip according to the cost of our meals, since the service was very good. Hopefully the owners will read this and make some much needed changes, since we've enjoyed this restaurant in the past.
