A Deep Ellum Honky-Tonk Will Open at the Beleaguered Toyota Music Factory in Irving - Eater Dallas

"Mama Tried, the Deep Ellum country-focused bar opened by prolific bar owner Brooke Humphries, will head to the beleaguered Toyota Music Factory in Irving. According to GuideLive, the bar will take over a gigantic 5,000 square foot space with plenty of room for pool tables, space for live music, and tons of TVs. Chef Ashley Heredia will oversee the menu (think brisket sliders, nachos, and more bar fare), and the bar is expected to open in August 2019." - Amy McCarthy

Absolute gems of human beings, both that work there. And their regulars, which isn’t a category you can rate a business on, but it is very telling of the kind of people they attract. Had one night in town and went in knowing no one but left feeling like I knew everyone. Drinks are super reasonable and the bartenders are amazing. If you find yourself in the area and want to go out but don’t know anyone, work trip, whatever, you will never feel weird going out by yourself at this place, I guarantee it. Appreciate y’all <3

Enjoyed Mama Tried Irving. Drinks, staff, and atmosphere is excellent. Kitchen not open until March/April but it’s a fun place to be in the meantime. (*They have moved to the opposite end of the building so mapping isn’t quite updated yet)

Love coming on Wednesdays! Vibe is pretty fun, and there's karaoke! Our singing bartenders do a great job serving us, and the karaoke DJ does a great job keeping us entertained.

Stopped in here while visiting and really enjoyed it. Bartenders were awesome and nice. They had live music and I enjoyed the music as well. Merle Haggard is one of my favorites so I had to stop by. Definitely recommend stopping in!

The first time I visited this place, it happened to be Karaoke night. The man then found Korean music so that I could sing. I'm going to sing an American Song next time.

Can’t speak for the other comments but I been coming here for over a year and it’s always been a good time. Love this place. Small but not tight, honky tonk but not red neck. Feels like a place for misfits 🤙🏾🤙🏾🤙🏾🌊
