Stop researching where to go out to eat today and go here NOW. I was blown away by how fantastic the food was - by far the best dry pot I’ve ever had. Incredible authentic Sichuan food. The staff was so friendly and lovely to chat with. My partner and I can’t wait to go back again!

Absolutely delicious! What a treat! We got mapo tofu, dry spice tofu, and the bok choy. Their menu is accurate as far as how spicy each item is which is helpful no matter your spice tolerance. Everything was delicious, perfectly seasoned, and the place was so clean and the staff were friendly and helpful to us and those around us. We will be back when we’re in the area.

Mama Wongs used to be amazing - well reviewed by LaBan, Main Line Today - and we ate here a lot. We took a break for a bit and tonight was our first takeout order for a while and the recent reviews are spot on. The food is not cooked well, tastes are off and we are disappointed that the quality is not what it once was. My dumplings were hard as a rock on the outside and the sauce tasted like vinegar. My won ton soup was terrible - the noodles were mushy and the broth was tasteless. It’s also pretty tasteless to charge $1 for rice. Sad that we have to find a new place - this place used to be awesome.

This place had great food. The general Sao tofu was crunchy on the outside and satisfying to eat. Also had a lot of sauce and tasted savory and sugary at the same time. Edamame was good but I think there could be more salt. Scallion pancakes were amazing! The service was pretty good and the atmosphere and design of the place was nice and I loved the decorations hanging from the ceiling!!

I literally live across the continent from Mama Wong's in tha San Francisco area but visit the Philadelphia area a few times a year. Every time I look forward to dining there. This time was no exception. The staff and kitchen proved themselves yet again. Cumin lamb with hand pulled noodles was perfect. Dry spicy chicken was crispy fried, not greasy at all and very tasty. I always have tea smoked duck since it is very hard to find in San Francisco and Mama Wong's surpasses any that I have found. The restaurant is elegant and always clean, impeccably so. Hostess/waitstaff/bussers are courteous and show their pride. There is no Szechwan restaurant in San Francisco that comes close to Mama Wong's. I would never have expected to find such a gem in a suburban Philadelphia strip mall.

Parking: Parking Lot Available Service: We went around 7:00 PM on the weekend. We were seated quickly. Waitress was really nice and even checked to see if we wanted more rice. The wait for food after ordering wasn’t long. Atmosphere: Plenty of seating. Nice and quiet. Food: The portioning on the entrees is fair. I recommend the following entrees: braised pork belly, chicken with hot dried pepper, and beef w/ long hot pepper. The dishes with peppers are only mildly spicy so it should not pose a big issue for those who want to try and are worried about the spice. The pricing of their soup is fantastic (compared to other places) and you get the most for the value. I would recommend getting the 16oz soup if you aren’t sharing. The most recent outing I got the Hot and Sour Soup 16 Oz. This tasted good and more importantly was served hot. I also got the Chicken with Hot Dried Peppers and it was good. It was savory and mildly spicy. The chicken was nicely fried and leaves a sweet aftertaste. Verdict: I am glad to see an authentic chinese restaurant west of Philly. I recommend dining here if you want quality authentic chinese food as opposed to the typical chinese takeout restaurants.

I went there last month for dinner with my friends and their kids from out of town. They were from northern Virginia where there are a lot of good authentic Chinese food. They were pleasantly surprised that Mama Wong has quite authentic Szechuan dishes. We got fish tofu stew, Mongolian beef, lamb noodles, string beans, dan Dan noodles and braised pork. All were great. Kids finished the braise pork in no time. My friends liked the lamb noodles which was spicy and fragrant. It is true that they don’t include rice for free. But that’s not a big deal in my opinion. We just ordered a few bowls of rice on the side.

We came back to give it a second try since our first visit was disappointing on the service side but the tasty food draw me back to see if service was better, besides all the restaurants nearby were closed due to the snow storm. Anyway, the service has gotten better. We were greeted by an English speaking gentleman who promptly sat us. The waitress/ manager was most helpful. She was very attentive to our needs and actually remembered us from our last visit, which was over a month ago. The dry pepper chicken wings were screaming good with a spicy kick. Dandan noodle was also a good dish if you like it hot and spicy. My girls can't handle spicy food so they got the Shanghai steam pork buns, pan fried dumplings, scallion pancakes and veggie fried rice. All were good and best of all no food allergies, which my girls are prone to at other Chinese restaurants. It's great to have an authentic Chinese restaurant in the neighborhood. The food is top notch and is great change from the typical. We'll have to come back and try some of their other dishes. Keep up with the consistent good service and the food will do the rest!

Good restaurant in PA. I was in this area on the way coming back from Hershey's. And my in-law suggested here. I thought it was nice spacey place with a good service. The selection of foods were nice. I think most of things that we ordered were authentic and delicious. We ordered fried fish, fried rice, green beans, chicken dish and Mongolian beef. I would recommend this place. Nice clean restaurant with simple decorations.

We got here at 6 pm on a Friday night. Not terribly busy, maybe 4 tables seated. Someone was waiting for a pick up order. We were seated promptly. We made an order for soup dumplings, shrimp chicken fried rice, chicken broccoli, and double braised pork (no spice for the kids). Took 30 minutes for the dumplings to come out. Nearly took an hour before any entree came out until we said something and they came out with the fried rice. In that 1 hour timeframe, our water cups were empty and no one had checked in. We had to leave because of our kids' bedtime, so we asked to take the rest of our entrees for takeout. Even then we waited a while. They did give us a discount. When we got home, we found that the braised pork was spicy. All of the food was very salty. I would not some back here anytime soon.

we ate here on a Wednesday, early evening. I would have given 5 stars, except that it was cold inside the restaurant. The food was exceptional, cooked, sauced and presented nicely. Our dishes were hot, unlike us. We will give it another try, yet, if the temperature is cold inside, we will leave. We don't like to wear our winter jackets while we are eating. Maybe get take out, because the food was that good.

I placed a takeout order and I was helped quickly when I came into the restaurant. This place is always very clean and the food is good. I ordered General Tso chicken and steamed dumplings. The next time I go back I am ordering the steamed soup dumplings and DanDan noodles since that is my favorite from here.

The food here was great! I also had the spare ribs and they were delicious. I could tell it is a local spot as there were a lot of families there. Service was good and it is very clean inside. I hope people continue to support this local, authentic restaurant

Great BYOB spot. Fast friendly service. Very cozy spot with a wide variety menu. Looking forward to going back and trying more. Crab Rangoons had a great crisp outside and creamy inside. Steamed dumplings- very juicy, tender and flavorful Lo mein- did a combo of all meats. Not much flavor. Very greasy Crispy wings- amazing crispy but very spicy for me. I have low spice tolerance but wish I didn't cause these were so good. General Tsos chicken- great crispy chicken. Sauce it a combo of orange and generals Beef- very tender. Pepper flavor a bit overpowering at times

We went to Mama Wong for dinner and had a great meal. As the server mentioned, most of their dishes are on the spicy side. All the ones we tried are pretty authentic, on the same level as the restaurants in Chinatown, and reasonably priced. The service is good and the portions are big. Definitely will go back when we are in the area.

We have been regulars here on an almost weekly basis for the last five years, starting when the dining room was still closed. The food here is very very good, and there are some dishes here that are really standout (I'm a fan of the pork belly dishes). Eating inside is great too, with big windows to let in light during the day at the front of the restaurant. Plus, eating in, the fried food really stands out, and we've always had great service from the waitstaff. Highly recommended if you are anywhere near Exton/Eagleview/Eagle/Ludwig's Corner.

Stir fried beef in black bean sauce. Small container of white rice $1 extra! Who does that? After tax it was $25. I assumed for that much it would be a generous portion but only a small round container. The beef was tender but the flavor just was not there. I have had dishes with black bean sauce before and the flavor was very weak in comparison. For what I got for $25 I could have gotten something equally good or better from one of the numerous Americanized Chinese restaurants in the area. I won't be back, I am running out of options for good Szechuan food in the area, Han Dynasty is horrible anymore too.

So, I have ordered take out from here number of times since the Great ShutDown and it had been a while since thing reopened so we did some recent takeout. I'm under the impression that the ownership or the lead management has changed as the menu is leaning toward food you see at most US Chinese restaurants. We still were able to order our dumplings in chili oil and the dry pepper chicken, two of our favorites. We also saw the addition of Kung Pao chicken (not much pow) and General Tso's chicken which has some spice. Everything was good, it's just that I saw this place as and adventure, a cleaner more sophisticated version of another local, traditional Szechuan place. Oh well.....It's good but not like before.

Good. Is decent. Strange habits: the entrees all come out at different times. Not all together like in other restaurants. Also, one of the waitresses this evening when we dined there (was with a group of friends) poured the canned coke into their glasses right after opening. This is a common, normal practice. But then continued to do so in the next round, when the waitress saw that their glasses were slowly becoming empty. The waitress pretty well took the can of coke out of my friend's hand to pour it into my friend's cup. Usually you don't keep pouring the specialty drinks to the customers. Then later on in the evening, she came around again and just took the coke can of another friend, and tried to pour more from the can into the cup without asking, all while reaching over her food to do so. Was very awkward and strange.

Food is excellent and service is too! We've been getting takeout for years and love the food! Recently we ate at the restaurant and everything was wonderful!

Warning: they don't give RICE anymore with dishes a lady on the phone told me since MAY!!!! Super disappointing - how can you eat Chinese food that doesn't come with rice! And when you order rice, they are super stingy with it!!!! It's $1 and only a little comes with it. They already charged their Chinese dishes a little more expensive then other places but also doesn't come with rice and also stingy with rice when you purchase for $1. You need to purchase $4 worth of rice just for 2 people to eat unless you don't like rice. But Rice is a staple in Chinese food. Super odd. Luckily I got extra rice bc they are very stingy with rice ( usually a rip off) but I'll be less upset if they had told me over the phone it doesn't come with rice so I could have purchase more ahead of time. It's the only Chinese place I been to that doesn't mention the dishes doesn't come with rice. I had to wait till my husband got home and realize it then and call them and then find out. IF THEY WERE TRUE CHINESE PEOPLE- they would mention about the RICE!! So maybe it's not authentic Chinese food but it's over priced

Order stir fried rice noodle with beef and it had barely any beef in it! Super stingy! And ordered the double cooked pork and they didn't include rice! I went online and selected it and it cost $1!!! Can you be any more cheap? Chinese food comes with rice! It's like ordering a sub without the bread! Their prices are higher than normal restaurants and now charging $1 for rice and being stingy with their food will cost them with little to no customers. On to the next place! Don't waste your money here.

They randomly stopped giving rice when purchasing any entree and the amount of rice they give was already such a small portion to begin with. Why should I need to buy rice when I'm purchasing over $60 worth of entrees? At least mention this if you are going to switch it up on your customers all of a sudden. Very disappointed as my wife and I have always enjoyed the food here.

Used to be a bang for your buck place but recently upped their prices and isnt worth it now. Pork fried rice is fye but to much moola.

I have enjoyed good food in the past from Mama Wong's but was very disappointed with my experience this week. I called in an order and was told 20-25 minutes. When I arrived, it was a busy Friday night and there appeared to be only 2 people to man the reception area and wait on the many diners. I waited nearly an hour for my food - ridiculous! I was told that they had been very busy - no apologies for the insane wait. The food was just okay this time - the chicken in my dish tasted gelatinous. The fried rice was tasteless. Such a disappointment.

I have been on a hunt for a good Szechuan food restaurant since 2016 and after countless failed attempts I heard about Mama Wong from my friend. I was very eager to try this place so my boyfriend and I came here for a date night. We ordered so much food because I wanted to try everything. We got the hot chili oil wontons, the wonton soup, and cucumber salad for an appetizer. Then we got the dry pepper chicken wings, dan dan noodles and the dry hot pot. The wontons were perfectly cooked with a great spicy kick to it. The wonton soup had seaweed which was amazing! I love seaweed and the broth was very flavorful. The cucumber salad had a great kick to it as well. It was very refreshing and loved the sauce it came with. The noodles were just the right amount of spicy. These have to be my fave dan dan noodles. Lastly the dry hot pot had all the protein you can get: shrimp, fish, beef and scallops. All the spices came perfectly together served over rice. My taste buds were extremely happy. 1000000000/10

I. Could. Not. Fall. Back. Asleep. So, to Reddit I go. Ooh. Just got a note from a fellow Yelper. I check that out. And read her reviews. Hmmm. Mama Wong! Softshell crab appetizer! MY LORD! I'm so so in. Monday night. This Spring forward thing!!! UGH! I need food and like now. Hmmm. Try Mama Wong. Easy quick pick up. LoMein. Errrr. I was told it by the person who ordered it that it was filling. And that's about all it was. A 4 out of 10. The bean curd. Ok. Now we're talking. The lamb stir fry with onions and scallions. AH MAZING. No softshell crabs. Only in season. Like it should. That's a plus. No star deducted for that. All in all, skip the stuff you get at your neighborhood Chinese restaurant. Go for awesomeness. Thank you fellow Yelper for the post that got me to try Mama Wong.

This is the best Asian restaurant in the Exton area. Friendly and efficient staff. Have tried many items on the menu and a big fan of their Ma Po tofu and soup dumplings. Be sure to try the congee.

I have been waiting 40 minutes for a to go order. I have watched diners arrive, be seated and be served since I have been here. It seems that their carry out business is not that important.

We ordered again tonight the same 3 items we got on Christmas. When I went to pick it up I sat in my car waiting for the text that my order was ready. After the pickup time had passed I went inside to Mama Wongs and gave the girl my number. She proceeded to grab the first bag in the line of nine bags and I said to the girl I never got the text my order was ready? She proceeded to say hold on, and did something on the register, and then pointed to my phone, which I was holding, and said see, there, I now had the text on my phone my order was ready. I DID NOT FIND THIS AMUSING! After checking my order to confirm all items were in the bag I left, not a happy Customer with their customer service! Once home I found that the Kung Po Chicken I ordered had no flavor and was very bland. The Pork Lo Mein had a flavor like it was flashed fried in a burnt pan and was completely inedible and threw it out. We have become extremely dissatisfied with the quality of Mama Wongs food and their customer service over the last several years. Needless to say we will no longer be a loyal customers of this restaurant.

I ordered takeout from Mama Wong's this week. I have had very good experiences in the past, and have always thought the chicken was of high-quality. This time, the chicken in the chicken and broccoli dish was very disappointing. It had a strange texture and an unappealing flavor. The broccoli was cooked perfectly and very flavorful. The spring rolls were blah and had little taste. I am disappointed that their quality is not as good as it was.

As far authenticity goes, the food is great. Veggie bean sprouts were tender and fresh, and the spicy intestines dish was piping hot and super tasty. No faults with the other dishes we ordered as well. Our waiter was really attentive and accommodating too. The only complaint I have is with the hostess by the front desk. On the surface she's cordial with customers, but unabashedly panders to native English speakers over those she deems inferior. She was quite rude to my elderly aunt and her Chinese friend, making them wait forever to be seated, and telling them that they would never be able to wait long enough to get a table. Then when they asked her if they could place a small order for take out instead, she snapped at them that the restaurant was too busy to do that - even though she was clearly handling take out orders and seating other guests who arrived after my aunt and her friend. It had gotten to a point that other workers nearby kept coming over to apologize for the abysmal treatment, but no one was brave enough to help them. The few times I have visited, I have always enjoyed the food, but felt uncomfortable with her prejudice. As my aunt appreciates authentic Chinese food, we come here sparingly, but now I've taken over each interaction with the hostess so as to spare my aunt from having to speak to her again. As a former part-time waitress and hostess myself, I value customer service most overall. In this case, I cannot bring myself to give this place more than 2 stars in that respect.

Went there for lunch. The server was very friendly and helpful. We ordered wonton soup and a couple of dumplings (dim sum). The food came out quickly and everything tasted great. Highly recommended.

We ordered takeout for Chinese New Year from Mama Wong. The food tasted delicious, very flavorful, and there was good quantity. I would definitely recommend the sweet and sour spare ribs for their authenticity and sweet taste. Go try Mama Wong if you want a great taste of Chinese food.

Food was delicious and hot (did takeout). Very pleasant staff who made sure the order was complete before handing it to me. Wish they were closer (they are about 20 min from my home). Will probably be our go-to spot for Asian cuisine from now on.

Three went for lunch. Ambiance okay - looked like restaurant was just converting from takeout to table service (lots of cartons visible to diners. Waitress took our order pleasantly enough. We ordered one serving of Soup Dumplings, three orders of. Hot & Sour Soup, two orders of Gen Tso Chicken and one of Dry Spice Chicken. Food came to the table in the following order: Gen Tso Chicken, Soup, Soup Dumplings, and Dry Spice Chicken. We asked whether we shouldn't have gotten app (Soup Dumplings) fist, then Soup, and then entree's. Waitress acknowledged that we had spoken without apologizing or offering to change anything. The Soup Dumplings were okay. Not real tasty. Sweet & Sour Soup was very good. Entrees we're okay, but rice was gummy and not hot. All things considered, not a satisfying meal.

Once again this place does not disappoint! Stopped by to grab some of the areas greatest hits while we visited for a couple days and this was #1. We got the fry pepper chicken wings which are so crisp and flavorful! Chili oil and 5 spice come together perfectly with these wings and highly recommend. We also got the vegetable lo mein which was perfectly cooked and seasoned with plenty of baby bok choy pieces throughout. And the pork fried rice which contained Lon, slender pieces of soft pork, plenty of onions and veggies and egg. My partner would have preferred the rice to have been more fried, but I thought it was still very good - just needed a little soy sauce. Sorry, no pics this time as we started eating it in the car and were too excited to wait :)

We tried Mama Wong's for the first time tonight (takeout) and were super impressed! Very authentic, fresh, and tasty, even for takeout. Can't wait to try the food in the restaurant next time!

I didn't think the food was that outstanding in contrast to the higher prices. I don't generally use price as a factor and I do usually think that you get what you pay for. We have other great choices in the area so I just don't see recommending this place over my other favorite chinese places. We have tried the place 2x and I haven't been back lately. I'm sure I'll give them another shot some day

Great food and less crowded in general when compared with other Chinese restaurants in Exton. Service was very good. We had a big group of 15 people and they staff were extremely cooperative to arrange a separate area for dining by combining tables etc. great food and service.!

Just simply not good. Horrible quality good, We ordered $90 worth of food including soup dumplings, chicken with broccoli, Mongolian beef, sesame chicken, and Dan Dan noodles. The meat tasted rubbery in multiple dishes and the Dan Dan noodles just tasted like peppercorns. Two better options in the area come to mind. For the price, they honestly should be embarrassed. Will not be returning.

That worst food there is !! I know by all living around already know this. Me for some reason thought they probably changed the chef . The food is so greasy filled with peppercorns , your whole mouth feels like disgusting frying pan . To top it off they are rude . I can't wait for them to shut down so there is a new place

I was in the mood for dim sum and found this place on Yelp. We ordered online as recommended by the restaurant and it was a bit complicated. After going through the efforts of figuring out what you want to eat etc, it asks you to call if you have allergies or to make changes. Also it forces you to pay with card to complete your order. They also force a tip amount, which I thought was a charge for ordering online, but I was wrong. I am all about tipping, especially in helping those working for small businesses, but it was frustrating that you couldn't change your tip amount or choose to tip cash when you arrive. I would most certainly suggest calling in your order and paying cash. We ordered dim sum, wonton soup, pork fried rice, pork belly and their fried rice balls for dessert. The dim sum was tough and seems the dough was overworked. It also fell apart very quickly. The wonton soup was amazing. One of the best I have tried in a long time. The wonton was soft and tender and perfectly made. We were throw off by the clear broth and seaweed or purple cabbage? But it did not disappoint and the flavor it added was superb. The pork fried rice was good, but they do not add very much soy sauce, so make sure you ask for some on the side if you're a fan. It tasted good, nothing too special about it. The pork belly was just a bowl of fatty thick cut pork belly's. Not a fan at all. But we wanted to try it out and have learned not to order this dish again. Lastly, the fried rice balls were really good. It came with three and that was just enough for our family. It was crispy on the outside covered in sesame seeds and chewy in the center with the white rice and bean curd. Our kids tried it and thought it was okay. Definitely something we recommend anyone to try once.

Ever since I moved out of Philly, I've been looking for a place with good dim sum. When I learned Mama Wong had opened, I was excited to see it was included in their menu, as well as a variety of other traditional and unique Chinese dishes. I've tried Mama Wong twice so far and both experiences were excellent. My favorite dishes to this point have been the Shanghai Soup Pork Dumplings, Crystal Shrimp Dumplings, Chengdu Dan Dan Noodles, and Crispy Roast Peking Duck. The dumplings are on par with any others I've had, definitely the best I know of in the area. The Dan Dan Noodles are spicy, flavorful, and fresh. The Peking duck is fantastic. The skin is perfectly crispy, and the meat is tender and not too fatty. I don't think I've had a better duck dish. I've also had the Shanghai Wonton Soup, fried rice, Smoked Duck, and Orange Beef. Each of these are excellent as well. Everything tastes freshly made with quality ingredients. The staff is super friendly and helpful. They told us about tasting nights that they host every Tuesday and Wednesday. You can call ahead to start or join a party. You are seated in a separate dining area and get to try several dishes; some favorites from the menu and some new options. They give you some background on each dish and you can give feedback on how it tastes. They may even add it to the menu based on the response. I'm really looking forward to trying this. Mama Wong is among the best Chinese restaurants I've visited. It's definitely my new go-to in Exton, and I'll be back soon to try more dishes as well as attend a tasting night.

New go to spot for fresh and tasty Chinese! You don't get the usual greasy stuff you might get at other places. We had rice cakes, pepper chicken and soup dumplings. Prompt service from the staff and it looks like a lot of locals were eating here (I saw a lot of people wave hi to each other across the room). There's also a large private room that could seat 15-20 if you wanted to book it for an event. UPDATE 5/19 - didn't realize they did sampler table events ever Tuesday and Wednesday! What a great way to sample authentic dishes you'd never normally be able to order.

It's a Hit or Miss. Been a loyal customer since grand opening. I must say, the food quality of this place has gone downhill. The taste is very inconsistent as like they're switching cooks every day. They are repeatedly making amateur mistakes or maybe they just don't give a shxt. The white rice has this foul smell 9 out of 10 times, which I'm 100% confident to say it is caused by not rinsing the rice before cook. How lazy can you be? Half of the times I would trash the rice and only eat the protein and veg or spend 30 minutes to quickly cook my own rice. Completely unacceptable! How credible is this statement? I'm Chinese, rice is my main diet so I guess it's safe to say I know how plain white rice should smell or taste regardless to brand, quality and origin; I tasted them all! The main dishes are oily, the sauce thickness is extremely inconsistent, the same dish one day may be thick and the next day as thin as a bowl of soup. One day there could be black beans added or extra ginger, they have absolutely zero standards with what goes into their dishes. This makes me think they're either untrained or switches cooks every other day. I'm starting to believe they could be using front staffs as cooks. Enough is enough, you just lost a 3 year long customer. You're lucky that it's located in the suburbs with close to no competitor, but your poor management will eventually catches up as the economy recover with more asian restaurant options.

We tried this place for the first time tonight and all I can say is WOW. Just WOW. I am completely blown away. This place is AMAZING. The staff is so friendly and attentive. The restaurant and bathrooms are clean. And the food is incredible. This is some of the best food I've tasted. And trust me, I've eaten A LOT. Here's what we ordered: The Dan Dan Noodles: Easily one of the best dishes I've ever eaten. Ever. I am absolutely obsessed with Dan Dan noodles and keep a ranking of the noodles I've tried (Insane, I know. But completely necessary). These noodles are easily one of the best I've had. Definitely on my top three list. The noodles are so fresh. The flavor is out of this world. Overall, fabulous experience. I could eat this dish for every meal, every day and be completely happy. Boiled Beef in Chili Oil: I ordered this dish at "medium heat" but next time I think I'll order it at "regular heat". I enjoy my dishes really spicey. Despite this, it was still fabulous. A stew of beef with heat and flavor. The meat was fresh and tender. The flavor of the stew was great! Xin Jiang Chicken Combo with Noodle: This dish is packed with flavor and delicious. The presentation of this dish is colorful and it's served on a giant plate. Don't let the first bite fool you. This dish is spicy. But it's so flavorful and delicious. Can't wait to go back for more!

This authentic spot really hit the mark with its vast menu and homey flavors. They offer several styles of food such as Shanghainese, Szechuan, Northern (Beijing), and Cantonese. It really reminded me of Asia and the food is just so well done. We ordered: 1) Beef tripe in chili sauce - best way to start off a meal is with cold apps. It's a bit spicy and opens up your palette for the rest of the meal. 2) Shanghai soup pork dumpling - chewy skin with flavorful broth 3) Deep fried meat turnover - think savory mochi with a meat filling 4) Peking duck combo (which includes the duck bones made into soup) 5) Shredded pork with bean curd 6) Beef with dried pepper and onion 7) Seafood tofu pot - Cantonese style scallops, shrimp, squid mushrooms, various veggies with a thick sauce. Pairs perfectly with a bowl of rice. 8) Fish filet in tomato sauce - crunchy fish with a ketchup-y flavor 9) Chicken wings - Szechuan pepper chicken wings that have quite a kick I loved everything...but if I had to pick, my favorites were the tripe, turnover, seafood tofu, and fish filet. Absolutely delicious and worth the visit.

Warning: if you can't handle spicy food this place is not for you. Twice I've ordered items that did not indicate spicy but they were way too hot to enjoy. And I don't mind spicy foods but this was ridiculous. The last time I put MILD in all caps but that didn't help. General Tso's chicken was very dry as well. But the rice balls and scallion pancakes are the bomb!

This is a great spot for authentic Chinese food. I was hesitant on trying it based on some of the earlier reviews (mostly about the Chinese takeout), but I'm glad my family went here for a holiday dinner. The highlights of the meal were definitely the soup dumplings and the Peking duck. When you order the Peking duck, make sure you order the "Peking Duck Combo" (the one that comes with soup) - the duck is cooked to perfection, and the soup that comes later on the meal is a great way to wash everything down. The restaurant was fairly empty the night I went, but that's probably only because Mama Wong is new in town. I am definitely planning on coming back!

Awesome Szechuan Chinese food that's such a shopping center find and worth a short drive. Pork soup dumplings were very delicious. One of ours had leaked a little but that didn't mean it didn't taste any less delicious. Tough to find soup dumplings in the suburbs so I was excited to try them I would give them an 8/10. Sichuan dumpling in chili oil was tasty but I wouldn't order a again. They had the hottest, most dry white meat hot pepper chicken that I'm told is hard to find in many Chinese cuisine restaurants. It was very hot for me but I would recommend to fan of spice. Eggplant in garlic sauce was absolutely tasty! Staff was very friendly and food came fast. We were seated and served right before a dinner rush so our table fell to the wayside by the end of our meal. The inside was clean and open and was a nice atmosphere for a delicious meal. Not super intimate and good for a date, families or a special occasion. There was a private room off to the side I saw. Ready to go back and try the General Tsos! Not sure I would dine in again (except maybe for some soup dumplings).

Definitely authentic Chinese cuisine. I'm glad Mama Wong's exists as I believe they have accurately captured the flavors of Chinese food! I came here on a Friday night with my family to try their Peking duck and ordered some additional dishes as well, fearing that the duck wouldn't be enough. We were severely mistaken. We ordered green beans and fried pork, mapo tofu, and spicy kidney. These dishes, plus the duck, it's accompaniments, and the soup made from the leftover duck bones were more than enough to fill our small family of four. Before our meal came, the hostess placed a small container of nuts and Chinese spicy cabbage on the table. The cabbage was a huge hit for my spice loving family. We asked for more after the main dishes had arrived. For the main course, the mapo tofu was adequately spicy and definitely had us reaching for more rice. The duck didn't have the crispiest skin, but it was nicely presented and had a good ratio of fat to meat. I do wish it had come with the crepe like wrappers instead of the bao buns though, or more wrappers in general. Two per person was not enough. The green beans were not too oily and the meat had a nice salty flavor. I did not get a chance to try the kidney, since I was already so full from everything else. I had a small bowl of the soup that came out at the end. It didn't have the strongest or best duck flavor, but the broth's lightness helped to wash away the heavy meal. Aside from the food, the service was okay. The restaurant wasn't packed but I could see that the staff didn't seem very organized. One waiter was visibly stressed the whole time while the other three servers and hostess floated around. The interior is also well arranged at the front of the restaurant but the back looked like wasted space. There was a large empty bar before the restrooms and one unset table. Overall, I'd come back again for their genuine Chinese cuisine. I'd suggest trying their REAL Chinese dishes. Not fried rice or lo mein or general tso's chicken.
